My newest knit pattern that I made yesterday is the one on shown the sweater. I love how varied a knit stitch can be!

I'm in the mood for knit and crochet patterns, so I polished some patterns I made over the last months (it's not as fun as making a fresh one so I tend to procrastinate on finalizing them). But I also included new ones in the pics, like the squirrel and duck patterns!

Shoutout to @grimothy-cc for her pullover and cardigan conversions 💜 Testing my patterns with them is so much fun! Patterns tile well on them and they often have a plain one that either is a smooth texture or just a light overlay so you can still apply patterns over them. They also have separate color channels for the hems, cuffs, and necklines so they can be used with complementary ribbing patterns.

Today was one of those days where I had to keep the light on the whole day, it was so dark and rainy! So to combat my dull mood, I made this cheerful pattern and had fun creating a matching outfit and posing Aleesha in it! Vibrant colors do not suit me personally, so as always, I live vicariously through my Sims!
Also I forgot to check where I got these shoes, but as you can see, they glow! I never saw anything like it, I didn't even know clothes could be made to glow. If I knew how I would make matching glowing nails! And maybe glow bracelets! I sat there and just aaaahed and ooohed while recoloring them!

All my new pattern WIPs from this month! 🌻 I miss flowers, so I made two vibrant floral knit patterns that give off a retro vibe. I spent a bit of time knitting again, and the striped pattern is made from a swatch I knit and then photographed. I wish we had CASt in real life so I could just dye my yarn on the fly!

A while back, I wanted to make a cute cat pattern but wasn't feeling the ones I've found. So I generated some cats with the Dall-E AI via Bing Copilot. Of course, you cannot use it as-is (the random cat tails and floating legs might be considered a bit macabre in a novelty pattern 🤣, plus it does not tile correctly). I feel like the best way AI can be used is as a tool, because most images are just uncanny and weird if taken as-is, and real art is just so much better. But as a sort of asset generator to generate stuff you can refine further and then use in your work, it seems to work well! I'm not entirely happy with the spacing/placement of the cats yet in my pattern, and I am contemplating whether to add further details around the cats (but I do like the minimalist version too). But I'm happy with the way the cats look!

After seeing this beautiful (infamous?) Vrg Grl crochet dress with strong 70's vibes that everyone seemed to want to crochet for themselves after Taylor Swift wore it recently, I wanted to turn the fabric into a pattern. And voilà! It's perfect as a beach cover-up dress, right? The outfit is from the Ambitions EP if memory serves me right. Doesn't look too shabby, does it?

I felt really motivated by all your nice comments on my last cat pattern! So I made another one 😸
I've created several variations with the AI, so there's even more pattern potential!

I really enjoy getting inspired by your pattern suggestions! There are so many great ones. This is my take on @mzcee-89's suggestion for "classic chic rabbits". Peter Rabbit may not be exactly chic but definitely classic :) I paired it with a gingham background, but may also do a version with a plain fabric background. Maybe also the gingham on its own?
It is always a challenge to do a watercolor effect well, but I am really satisfied with the effect of the strategy I used here. I have one dedicated channel for the lighter areas that influences the overall pattern, so increases the contrast and lightness of the gingham, and the fur and jacket of the rabbit. Its default is white which is suitable for lighter shades (as seen on the first image) and for when you want to achieve a high contrast in the pattern (second image). You can also tone it down to a grey to make darker, lower contrast looks like shown in the third image. Changing the color of that light layer also has interesting effects, as you can see in the fourth image! The outcome looks almost like EA's HSV shift patterns which use a different technique that involves a base texture that is influenced by a mask laid on top of it. I'm still sad that there is no proper tool to make these kinds of patterns (EA's CAP tool can kinda make them but you do not have as much control over it and we all know how broken they come so then you have to go in and fix every single one, which is so tedious). But that's a topic for another day :)

I'm frantically at work making more seasonal patterns. It's so hard to decide on the default colors! But I shouldn't stress too much about that, since everyone can color them how they want anyway, and I found so many nice patterns which I want to convert to ts3 asap! Then my perfectionism sets in and I fiddle with one pattern for 4 hours straight

I've actually been really inspired and productive thanks to your numerous suggestions. Here are some screenshots of them! I made some thick cozy fleece blankets, a crochet blanket, a quilted star blanket, a plush/fur pattern, then a few allover florals, several clothing fabrics (striped jersey, eyelet lace stripe, textured synthetic fabric, and twill), a soft cord pattern that is also great for rugs or blankets, a diamond weave wool pattern (used as wallpaper), and the colorful carpet pattern I used in the screenshot with the crochet pattern. The lace ruffle curtain fabric is older but I think I have never shown it before. Those who made suggestions, I hope some of these meet your expectations :) of course, everything can be recolored as always.
This is just the stuff from the last few days, I was really super productive! I don't know if I can keep this up but I'm happily taking the creative streak and will continue as long as it allows and I have several suggestions and ideas yet to make 🙂

I made two halloween-themed patterns today. The wallpaper and the plaid. Carrie isn't too happy with her outfit (fashion police, look away!) I was fascinated with how my starry bulky blanket looks a bit like a crumpled-up sack on that shirt, lol! It's because it has a visual thickness due to the hanging part. I can't decide if it was genius or just spectacularly bad to combine these two. Then I thought I could make another range of spectacularly bad decisions, so... yeah, that's how that look came to be.

Generating cute frogs with Bing Image Creator (Dall-E) AI is so satisfying. The cool thing is that I can influence what kind of elements I want. When I am looking for patterns to convert, I do not always find the style I want, but the AI allows me to get results in line with my own vision. It's not always easy to get the AI to generate the way I want it to, but the process is fun! The original AI-generated file looked like this:

I then cut out and tweak the elements and choose how to arrange them into a pattern. With more complex colored ones like this, I also need to make sure they still recolor well! For example, I did not have enough color channels to make the pond water separately recolorable, so I made that recolor with the background because that was the most harmonious look.
I think these designs could also work well as t-shirt decals!
Do you have any suggestions on which animals I should try next?

I had a few especially productive days 🥰 If I continue at this rate, this collection will be my biggest ever (and I couldn't be happier about it)!
With patterns, I have to decide whether I want to make them look good on beds (so the designs appear centered on them) or rather focus on making them look good on clothing. For this collection, I focus on making them look nice on clothing because that's where they really shine! Sometimes I forget to optimize my patterns this way, but these geometric patterns with large designs benefit a lot from it!

I may not post much these days, but I am busy working on my African fabrics collection! I still have a ton of images waiting to be turned into patterns! I'm aiming for a release in June for Juneteenth. Seems like it is going to be a very big collection... It's a lot of fun to work with these bold designs and colors!
