grew up in a town that’s a popular tourist spot but is dead the rest of the year. as a kid it was stressful to get a random influx of money every summer that was not enough to make up for the rest of the year. having a series of friendships that only lasted for a couple of weeks throughout his childhood made him clingy when he knew people had to stick around and he still is

he went to therapy once and decided that he’s fine and gotten over his weird hang ups about existing. okay that’s a slight exaggeration (he had more than one therapy session) but barely. he’s definitely still in denial about how he’s the king of toxic positivity and moral perfectionism

has always struggled with academics because of long term memory issues. he was undeclared for most of freshman year and chose his major because he thought it would be a good way to help other people. he’s struggled with it a lot but he thinks it’s too late to back out and that everything good in life requires hard work
