Aaa i loved your x Stanley! It's one of the fees out there. If you're taking requests, could I request headcanons for a touch starved Stanley; where the reader somehow makes inside the parable, i believe that Stanley never actually had contact with another human, his coworkers were likely just implanted memories, therefore he never felt touch (i think thats part of the reason why he's so obsessed with the Bucket, it's the closest thing he has to physical touch.) , and when he first experiences it with the reader, he's instantly addicted

Stanley didn't really know what to think of you, at first. You were you ... but were you real? He wasn't sure. His coworkers were real, but he couldn't really remember them.

He became certain you were real when you. kept. touching. him. He could have wept. Your hands were gentle on his: as you steered him to another room, helped him down the stairs, offered him a cold cup of coffee, he became convinced that you were really and truly real.

Slowly but surely the two of you fell for each other. Stanley slipped in some "accidental" touches, always patting you on the shoulder when you noticed.

The Narrator also took notice of this. "As Stanley and his friend made their way down the hall, Stanley tied his shoe. He utilized the Reader for support. Stanley was such a loser that he could not tell his friend how he really and truly felt, instead choosing to leave behind a complex web of touch. Well done Stanley, you are a true master of romance."

Stanley took the opportunity to touch you more. Walking? The both of you would be holding hands. Doing the apartment ending? He'd have an arm slung over your shoulder as the Narrator laughed about Stanley's 'roommate' (it originally was wife, but perhaps the Narrator thought one of you would become jealous. In any case, neither of you asked and he never told.)

The Bucket somehow made its way into your relationship. At this point, you and Stanley were a couple. Stanley still carried the Bucket with him everywhere (and would NEVER have sacrificed it to the Bucket Destroyer) but he never made it a bigger priority than you.

He would walk with an arm wrapped around your waist, holding the Bucket in his hand. It wasn't even painful. He held you reverently, making sure to keep both you and the Bucket happy and comfortable.

The Narrator kept commenting on Stanley's touchiness, but less meanly. It became incredibly commonplace for him to say "Stanley and his partner took the left door, holding hands with both his partner and the Bucket. And they were happy."

The Narrator stepped away from his mic, but you could hear him sniffle.

may i possibly request a reader who's vv touchstarved but too shy to actually admit they want affection??? romantic w/ the narrator and stanley (separate) please!

i think this is my first headcanon thingy for tsp so i hope it’s okay 😭

— at first, stanley might not even notice that his significant other wants affection. he tends to be very focused on his work and routine, and might not pick up on the subtle hints you give him. however, once he does realize what's going on, he would try to be more attentive and affectionate towards you! he might start small, with things like holding hands or giving you a quick kiss on the cheek, just so it’s not too awkward.

he might also try to encourage his partner to open up more, without being too forceful. he might suggest things like going on a date or taking a walk together, in order to create a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere for the two of you.

overall, be would want to make sure that you feel loved and appreciated, even if you’re too shy to ask for it directly. he knows what it feels like to not be heard, and he never wants you to feel that way towards him!!

The Narrator would probably pick up on your desire for affection right away, thanks to his keen attention to detail and ability to read people.

he would try to be understanding and patient with you, recognizing that shyness can be difficult to overcome. he might tease you for it sometimes, but he’s just trying to be playful!

maybe he would also use his storytelling skills to create a more romantic atmosphere, perhaps by reading you a love poem or telling you a story idk.. he just has that specific kind of voice that you wouldn’t mind listening to, no matter what he’s saying

however, i feel like he might struggle with wanting to be in control of the situation. he might try to push you to be more open or affectionate, which could backfire and make you feel even more uncomfortable.. 😭

ultimately, the narrator would want to find a way to help you feel comfortable expressing your desires, while also respecting your boundaries and wishes, even if it takes some trial and error.
