HIII!!! I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE U WRITE FOR THE TSP!! I THOUGHT I WOULD THROW A REQUEST IN HERE BECUZ YKNOW :3 tsp on the brain right now.
may i possibly request a reader who's vv touchstarved but too shy to actually admit they want affection??? romantic w/ the narrator and stanley (separate) please!
i think this is my first headcanon thingy for tsp so i hope it’s okay 😭
Tumblr media
— at first, stanley might not even notice that his significant other wants affection. he tends to be very focused on his work and routine, and might not pick up on the subtle hints you give him. however, once he does realize what's going on, he would try to be more attentive and affectionate towards you! he might start small, with things like holding hands or giving you a quick kiss on the cheek, just so it’s not too awkward.
he might also try to encourage his partner to open up more, without being too forceful. he might suggest things like going on a date or taking a walk together, in order to create a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere for the two of you.
overall, be would want to make sure that you feel loved and appreciated, even if you’re too shy to ask for it directly. he knows what it feels like to not be heard, and he never wants you to feel that way towards him!!
The Narrator would probably pick up on your desire for affection right away, thanks to his keen attention to detail and ability to read people.
he would try to be understanding and patient with you, recognizing that shyness can be difficult to overcome. he might tease you for it sometimes, but he’s just trying to be playful!
maybe he would also use his storytelling skills to create a more romantic atmosphere, perhaps by reading you a love poem or telling you a story idk.. he just has that specific kind of voice that you wouldn’t mind listening to, no matter what he’s saying
however, i feel like he might struggle with wanting to be in control of the situation. he might try to push you to be more open or affectionate, which could backfire and make you feel even more uncomfortable.. 😭
ultimately, the narrator would want to find a way to help you feel comfortable expressing your desires, while also respecting your boundaries and wishes, even if it takes some trial and error.

The Venti Parable
(This is a re-upload: originally posted on UniverseUchu on Feb 25, 2023)
Characters: Venti and The Narrator. The Reader and Stanley have very little presence
Warnings: None really. They enter the zending room if that upsets you, but they barely stay there for long. This is mostly in drabble form and lightly skimmed for errors
This is both the Narrator’s and Venti’s worst nightmare. An omnipotent, self-destructive perfectionist who strives to keep everything self-contained and the ever funky little god of freedom.
Venti is not impressed with this game of choice in the slightest. He had hoped his position in your heart would’ve saved him from the torture some of the others have been put through, but he was unfortunately not given this blessing. He didn’t feel like following this narrator’s every whim, he only wanted to do that with you. He was free to do as he pleases
As you’re talking to the Narrator to convince him, having someone else to narrate for just a few runs would help him with his story (“He can speak! You can get instant feedback!”) Venti sits in the office next to Stanley.
“Alright, fine. I’ll let Venti play the game in Stanley’s place for a short while, only because you keep incessantly asking.”
“Hey! I am great company. Wouldn’t it at least be nice to have someone else to talk to for a little while?”
“This is the story of a man named Venti”
He sighs and gets up from his position next to Stanley before walking through the office
After what he feels was him being ignored, Venti reaches a fork in the road
“When Venti came to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his left.”
He holds his chin with his hand and closes his eyes, acting as if he was deeply thinking about his next course of action. Of course, he already knew what he'd do as soon as the directions were spewed at him.
“No, I think I'd rather go right.”
Que sighing from above. Quelle Surprise
~~~
After getting told no one would ever love him and having the parable restart, though disoriented, his next objective is to try and see if he could leave the building
He was not a fan of the Narrator and vice versa
His first attempt is to see if he can jump out of any windows
Honestly surprised he managed to fall through one on his first try (or at all, really)
He had a bit of hope that he had escaped the Narrator, but after accidentally breaking the phone and still getting an ending, he highly doubted it.
And he sighed as he was unfortunately proven right, and the Narrator starts to monologue
“What do you think, are you sick of this gag yet?”
Venti didn’t think there was a correct answer, so he just hit yes while smiling cheekily up into the air. At this point he was just trying to be entertaining for his player, but so was the Narrator
“Now would be the time I go on about having ample amounts of opportunities to restart the game, but unfortunately for you, our player is in control of that. Since all I hear is laughter on their end, I'm going to try to make this as miserable as possible, before they reset to help you out.”
As the Narrator started to sing, Venti quickly looked towards the screen in hopes he could get you to reset immediately, but all you did was shrug
How very cruel of you
~~~
After a few more runs, the last of which had Venti falling flat on his face, he decided to see where listening to the narrator got him
The Narrator kept to the script as usual, he was a professional after all, but the light elation in his voice was obvious to the two of you
Venti couldn’t help but mess with him on the way though
The Narrator could feel his temper rising, watching Venti doing literally nothing. Letting out a sigh, he directs his next questions to you. “Did you put him up to this? Be honest with me here, I have— I am extremely skeptical of this entire ordeal.” You laugh as you hear The Narrator’s anger and Venti asking if he wasn’t allowed to simply relax, further upsetting The Narrator. “I’ve done no such thing. Informing either party beforehand would’ve made this far less entertaining.” “So you’re telling me that everyone, but me, is able to see what’s so fascinating about a broom closet? If that’s where you’re getting at, then it’s absolutely wonderful to have confirmation that I am, truly, the smartest person here.” “Whatever helps you sleep at night, Mr. Narrator Sir.” “... I refuse to acknowledge this behaviour.”
Finally making it to the end and turning off the mind control machine, every light turns off as The Narrator starts his freedom ending speech
The door slowly opens and Venti can just about feel the wind call to him
Daylight peaks through the opening and grows larger every second as it descends. He can barely wait for the door to fully open and finally be able to see the skies.
As the door comes to a stop on the floor and Venti takes in the view, he finally feels a sense of ease wash over him since he was brought here. The scenery was truly beautiful.
Venti takes his first steps forward onto the grass and as he continues to drown out The Narrator’s dialogue, he figures that maybe this was the reason you brought him here out of all games.
“...- And Venti was happy.”
The Narrator finishes speaking. Venti opens his mouth to actually throw him a genuine compliment - when-
It all fades to black
And within the blink of an eye, he wakes up in the office next to Stanley, who can do nothing but look at him with a reassuring gaze and wave.
Venti just about curls into a ball and cries while Stanley panics and silently frets over him
“That’s the ending you wanted to guide me to...”
“It’s called the ‘Freedom Ending!’ The one true ending for my story that Stanley refuses to cooperate with me on. Surely someone such as yourself understands and is able to appreciate what I’m trying to-”
“On every level of irony, you’ve managed to single-handedly rip away my own freedom with this horrific outcome.”
~~~
Walking through the red door after bamboozling The Narrator long enough, Venti reaches the platform and is quickly stunned at how pretty the light show is
“Right here, see! All I want is to show Stanley, our dear player, and now you, something remarkable. Now tell me. Can you really look at this space and say it’s not truly beautiful?”
Venti giggled before spinning and sitting down. “Why, this room is a poet's dream! The only thing I’d add is nature.”
He sat in the room for a bit longer, just staring at the stars and light show. This is the closest Venti’s gotten to a true place of rest in a while, so he’d like to treasure it a bit more before leaving.
Eventually tearing his eyes away from the sparkles, Venti looks around and realizes the only rooms here are the space room he’s currently in,  and a room with some stairs. Getting up and going over, the narrator panics.
“Hey Venti, what are you doing? Where are you going?”
“I’m just looking around. I haven’t seen an exit, so I want to know where the stairs lead.”
“But we haven’t even been here that long a-and there’s nothing over there but stairs, they don’t go anywhere.”
“... It seems I’m in a predicament. Oh, my dear player, where is the exit?”
“Don’t tell him! He’s done nothing but ruin my story time and time again, the least both of you could do is allow me this solace for a little while longer.”
“But I followed your every instruction just before this run!”
All you do is sigh. Maybe you should’ve told Venti not to come here. “... I’m going to begin the game again.”
“But my peace and tranquility!” “But don’t you want to see the proper ending?”
“No, I really don’t and trust me, you won’t want to take the intended ending either.”
~~~
“Player I have to admit, the only difference working with Venti is the constant sass I’ve been receiving in turn. This hasn’t been beneficial in the slightest.”
“Hey! I still gave you plenty of good input you can use!”
“I highly disagree.”
“I beg to differ!”
You had hoped meeting Venti would help The Narrator with some of his issues, but without informing Venti in advance, all they did was annoy each other. Oh well, it was still fun to witness.
“I hope we never meet again.”
“And I hope you learn to enjoy life's intricacies instead of obsessing over the same story over and over… Aaaand that I never have to go through this ever again.”
Venti trusts you with his entire being, he really does, but if you offer him a chance to participate in another game he's going to be asking a lot of questions beforehand

Hello! I absolutely adore your work! Would you consider writing any general Headcannons for the narrator from the Stanley parable? Thank you!
General Headcanons
TSP! Narrator x reader
Note: Two posts in one day!! I’m proud of myself. Finished a fic and wrote some hcs 😤🤗
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⋆✦⋆ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
Okay so staying up with some pretty obvious stuff
He’s very confident, he thinks he’s hot shit, which I mean he kinda is but he thinks it, he knows it, and dear god he will say it.
He is quite smart, he loves to tel you all sorts of facts. He is 100% an ‘um actually’ person, if you say something about a topic that is wrong he will correct you no matter what it is. Which leads into many arguments about what a definition is or what something does cause he was a little meany pants and had to argue with you about it.
Sometimes it can get a bit condescending, be promises he doesn’t mean it! He’s just so extremely passionate about certain topics and wants to share all that with you and make sure you get all of your facts right! If you tell him to stop he will, but when you get something wrong he’ll just sit there with his eyes scrunched waiting for you to realize.
If by any chance you don’t, even if you don’t pick up his loud coughing and throat clearing, his endless blinking, his scrunched up face as he’s waiting for you to realize your mistake. He will tell you as soon as you leave the room. Just a cheeky little, “ah you see s/o. you are wrong. <333”
He loves his voice, he could listen to himself for hours and hours and hour and dear god narrator stop talking for a moment, we just want some peace and quiet for once please???
Don’t tell him that thought he will talk more just to piss you off, cause he can be a bitch sometimes.
When he’s not being a piece of shit to you he’s actually very sweet.
He’s quite romantic, stupid cheesy dinners, walks lit by moonlight as you stroll through the park, leading rose petal around your house on your anniversary to lead you to where he is wants you to go.
He’s very verbally affectionate, again, he loves his voice and you will to if he forces you too. But he doesn’t have to do that, you like his voice anyways, right?
But he also likes to give gifts, he knows just about everything about you. Dork your favorite foods to your favorite tv show that came out recently. He will give you little trinkets throughout the day and will bring home things that reminded him of you that he saw while you were out.
Again, he loves anything to do with his voice, want him to tell you something? Got it, he’ll say the longest explanation possible. Need him to read something to you? He knows how to do it as dramatically as possible, trying to get you to smile and laugh.
Hes also very physically affectionate, gentle kisses, snuggles and cuddles all day, holding you while he infodumps about the new thing he’s writing. He can seriously rant on and on about it as you lovingly look at him, offer him ideas and advice.
He has 2 modes: Him being a very deep sleeper, try to get him out of bed I dare you. Or if something important is going on, he will wake up at the crack of darn excited, getting everything ready, making sure he’s all nice and spiffy, all before you wake up. But then you wake up, don’t shower, throw on some random clothes, and you look almost as nice as him. How do you do it??
So we all know he likes to write, and although stories are his strong suit, he will defiantly be cheesy and stupid and write you a lovey dovey love letter for your birthday or anniversary. A letter explains all that he loves about you, how sweet and kind you are, how gorgeous he thinks you are, how thankful he is that you put up with him and his constant self-obsession over some things.
But he really is incredibly thankful. No one would be as sweet or as patient with him as you have been, and he’s so grateful for you, for your love, for the fact that he gets to love you at the same time, that it’s always reciprocated and he’s always appreciated and loved. He loves that you love him. Please don’t ever stop.

When watching people play The Stanley Parable, I always thought it be really cool if in the middle of it the Narrator was interrupted by a door opening and someone saying something like “hey how’s the game going? Have you eaten something yet?” And the Narrator getting flustered and apologizing to Stanley that they need to take a break and eat dinner. If it’s ok with you can you write something with this idea? (If you aren’t too overwhelmed with ask of course)
"You, too?! Unbelievable. I'm at the mercy of an entire species of invalids.." Scratching his head in annoyance, Narrator could only watch as Stanley went right back into the broom closet with no intentions of leaving.
This felt like a betrayal of sorts.
Was this some kind of joke? What was so special about this closet? Did he only stay in here for extra dialogue? Or to uncover some hidden secret?!
He couldn't understand his motivations. And trying to force himself to understand was starting to make his headache come back. It's been gnawing at his brain all day long, yet he elected to ignore it.
The story had to go on!
"Perhaps there's a monkey nearby you can hand the controls to? A fish? A fungus?” He sighed tiredly. “Look..you can-"
Suddenly he heard a door creak open. Not the broom closet within the game, but within his own realm, causing him to swivel around to see you there.
"Hey, Narry. How’s the game going?”
“[Y/n]! I told you not to--!!!”
“Have you eaten anything today?”
But before he could chastise you for interrupting, he thought about your question and realized...no, he doesn’t recall eating anything today. Of course, he’d have tea and coffee to keep himself awake, though actual sustenance? An actual meal??
He forgets that he needed those a lot more than he’d like to admit. Maybe that’s why he was letting this broom closet nonsense get to him so much.
“...as a matter of fact, I-I don’t believe so.” A bit flustered, and sensing Stanley’s confusion, he turned back to his desk and adjusted his mic. “You’ll have to excuse me for a moment, Stanley. My partner calls. So while I’m taking a much needed break, feel free to write me a 10-page essay on what exactly this godforsaken closet means to you and maybe..just maybe I’ll get a better understanding of your perspective.”
After muting himself, Narrator took off his headset and put it down, sighing heavily as he saw you coming over. He clearly looked tired, which made you pout a little. You didn’t like seeing him ignore basic needs for the sake of his story. He often forgot he was an actual person.
“You don’t have to look so deeply into things.” You hugged him. “Maybe he just likes closets.”
“But I can’t help it when he goes off-script..” He grumbled into your chest. “I'm just trying to understand why. I need to. Is he expecting something to just magically happen?! You think I should board it up next time-?”
“Shh, you’re getting worked up again. We’ll talk about it over dinner, okay?” You gently cut him off, pulling away so he can get out of his chair. “You can’t expect yourself to write on an empty stomach.”
“You made us dinner?” He blinked, a soft smile gracing his lips soon after. “Oh, [y/n]. You’re too good to me. Perhaps that’s why this broom closet situation has me more irritable than normal. I’m simply famished.”
You just chuckled and took his hands. “You and your fancy words. C’mon. Before it gets cold.”

BUT ANYWAYS-😀
The Narrator x Co-Narrator! Reader Hcs??
Some info: Whenever The Narrator degrades or disciplines Stanley for being such a "manchild" she joins in, and is more gentle with Stanley when trying to get him to "behave" The Narrator and Reader get in arguments sometimes, But reader is always chill during it.
(feel free to ignore my request if you dont feel like writing my prompt tho! <3)

Content Warning/s: None
Content/s: Fluff — Platonic/Romantic — Headcanons — Bonus Scenario At The End — Third Person Pov
Fandom: The Stanley Parable
What i will write + Introduction
Tumblr media
✦PLATONIC
You and The Narrator may initially have conflicts due to your differing styles, with the Narrator being more critical and you taking a more gentle approach. However, you both eventually find a balance and somehow develop a mutual respect for each other's perspectives.
the two of you would form a strong bond and become great friends, learning to appreciate each other's company.
✦ROMANTIC
the Narrator would likely be a mixture of his usual authoritarian and critical self, but also show a softer and more vulnerable side. He may initially struggle with expressing his emotions, but gradually learns to open up to you and share his thoughts and feelings.
Despite your occasional arguments, the Narrator would likely make an effort to communicate and resolve conflicts with the Reader in a more constructive and respectful manner. He may learn to appreciate the Reader's pacifist nature and their ability to remain calm during disagreements, and strive to emulate those qualities in his own behavior.
The Narrator may experience moments of vulnerability and insecurity in his relationship with you, especially when it comes to expressing his emotions. He may struggle with his authoritarian tendencies and find comfort in your calming presence and patient support as he learns to navigate the complexities of a relationship.
✦BONUS SCENARIO (WITH DIALOGUE)
(reader's dialogue is pink — narrator's is white)
"Stanley, for the love of god, can you please stop wandering around like a lost puppy? You're acting like a complete manchild!"
You feel a pang of discomfort at The Narrator's harsh words. You take a deep breath and respond calmly.
"Now, now, Narrator. Let's not be too hard on Stanley. He may just be exploring his options and trying to understand this peculiar situation."
The Narrator, however, is not easily swayed.
"Exploring? He's wasting time! He needs discipline, structure, guidance. Otherwise, we'll never get anywhere in my story!"
"I understand your perspective, but maybe a more gentle approach would be more effective. Stanley may just need some encouragement and support to make better choices."
The Narrator scoffs, his voice growing louder.
"Encouragement? Support? Ridiculous! We need to set some boundaries, and make him understand the consequences of his actions."
"But forcing him into decisions may not be the best approach. Let's try to understand his motivations and help him see the consequences without being harsh. Remember, he's just a character in a game."
The Narrator's voice booms, filled with frustration.
"A character in a game, yes! And it's our job to guide him and make sure he follows the story's path. Discipline is necessary!"
"I agree that guidance is important, but we can do it with compassion, not punishment."
The argument between The Narrator and You continued, each presenting your own perspective on how to discipline Stanley. However, You remain calm, trying to reason with The Narrator and find common ground.
After a while, The Narrator's voice softens, realizing your point of view.
"Fine, let's try your approach. But if Stanley goes off track again, we'll do it my way."
"Deal. Let's work together to help Stanley make better choices."
The Narrator and You come to a tentative agreement, resolving your differences for the moment. The two of you turn your attention back to Stanley, ready to guide him with a more compassionate and understanding approach.

➳ The Stanley Parable (Ultra Deluxe) 【TSPUD】 // Romance // Headcanons!
"Oh, you don't want to see the cool surprise I made for you? Well fine! You're a dork anyway, so who cares?" *A few moments later* "Oh. Nevermind, you're not a dork."
————— ୨୧ —————
The first time you came to the office in a game title 'Stanley Parable (Ultra Deluxe)' and the Narrator realize his champion named Stanley transform completely to be your body, it is panic time rising from down to the above. Like, you are confused how on earth did you get there, and The Narrator is now frusrated by the fact that his game ruined by a random character.
Nonetheless, after a long while you and The Narrator finally getting along just fine, you want to experience the feeling of love and dig to know him even better, so why not just date him already?
Truth be told, You are the one who make the first move and ask him to date with you. This result of how nervous mix stubborn (Tsundere) The Narrator feels and end up to accept your offer.
Your date place with him is in the zen/space/peaceful room. Both of you are together happy to watch the pretty aura lights and listen to the calming music. Obviously avoiding the stairs OF DOOM.
The Narrator's cheesy/flirty pick up lines with his fine wine voice never fails to make you even more blush. Sometimes you have the courage to shoot him with your compliments.
"Ugh, I hate how cute you are."
"And you tell a story like your hands play tunes."
The Narrator likes to sing about you or any romantic songs which he had memorized.
The Narrator absolutely give you a bouquet of your favorite flowers and candy or chocolate. If you do not want any of those gifts, then he will create present of things that you have always wanted for a long time.
The Narrator secretly writing poems about you and kept those majestic words in paper to himself since he still thinks 'it is not good enough' to impress you yet.
When The Narrator finally dares to show up to you in his physical human body form with a smug face, you cannot take your eyes off him. Dilf mode, dilf icon, dilf augh, the dilf, daddy.
The most enjoyable activity for the two of you is slow dancing and swaying to the slow-beat music.
The Narrator's obsession to holding your hand, comfortably hugging you, and kissing your face nor lips is never going to stop.
The important thing is: You are his, and he is yours. The two lovers cannot be separated until the end.

Comfort Game
Some Narrator comfort, I tried my best to write him in character but you never know
Warning: English is not my first language, please excuse any mistakes
Tumblr media
Everything was not out of the ordinary at the beginning. You were playing the game with no interruptions and the Narrator had to just sit back and watch you do all the stuff that he didn't ask you to. You were ignoring his narration, you were doing your own thing, you were the player of the game after all. And that irritated him, his art was not being appreciated enough in the way he wanted it to be appreciated. Maybe you were just doing it against him, he didn't know, but now he was too frustrated by your disobedience that he just let you do the stuff you wanted to, who he was to tell you otherwise? Just a voice in a game. He kept silent against his own will. The Narrator watched you walking through the halls of the office, walking through the door he said was incorrect, stopping to look at the objects that were completely irrelevant in the story. Why were you behaving so stupidly? So irresponsibly? He was angered. The Narrator noticed you were walking in circles, with no purpose, no intention, no meaning. Like a blind rat. So stupid. When he saw you walk into the employee lounge AGAIN he had to say something, he had to express his frustration with you.
"Excuse me, but what. Are. You. Doing?" he started with a very monotone and harsh tone with a quiet growl behind his deep voice "'I've been here for..." his voice trembled at his last words as he tried to gather all the hours he has spent here with you "A very long time and you're not listening to me AT. ALL. What are you even doing? I suppose you not listening to me is nothing new but at least you tend to have a REASON to not listen to me. Now you're just wandering around, doing nothing, not interacting with my story, not giving anything from yourself to add something to this story. That is very impolite of you. I'm trying my best to make something here, to make a piece of art to be seen and played through PROPERLY. You're not giving me anything here. Who do you think you are to disobey my narration? You're just a player, you're just playing a game. A game that I HAVE made. You should be grateful, you know. I'm being very generous for you and you're treating me and my art like THAT. I'm very offended by your behavior, in fact, I think I won't be talking to you anymore, since you know my game better than I DO." He's very insulted, his voice sounds a little bit childish from the frustration, and he speaks through his teeth. He then does as he said, stays silent. Not speaking to you, just watching you play with frustration in his heart. How dare you be so ignorant of his efforts to make your experience of the game nice and interesting? Don't you want to know what he prepared for you? What kind of wonderful and powerful stories he has put you in? Based on your behavior you don't care. So he won't care too, he decided.
Your mindless wandering through the game stopped while the Narrator was speaking and the screen stood still with the image of the employee lounge, just existing, noting moving or making any sounds. If someone else was playing the game they would think that it has crushed, but both of you, You and the Narrator, knew that it wasn't. Both of you refused to do anything, you both stayed silent. How boring. You should do something. Why are you standing still? Only you know.
The Narrator wasn't going to break his promise of not talking, he was determined to let you know that he was offended and didn't care about your playthrough anymore. But he was curious about your disobedience. He wanted to ask you about it but he was offended after all, he won't be talking to you.
The silence continued to reign, the game went nowhere, you did nothing.
Suddenly the Narrator heard a sniff. A very weak sniff but it held a lot of sorrow. Oh. Wait, are you...
Another one rang out and the Narrator started to feel less offended and more concerned and slightly scared. Are you crying? What? Why? Since when? What has made you cry? Was it the Narrator's frustration? It isn't real, it shouldn't hurt you! He wasn't trying to make you cry, just make you realize your strange behavior. Now he felt bad and he broke his promise.
"Hey... Are you... Crying?" he sounded much gentler, caring, and concerned, his voice lowered and the growl in it was no longer there. A small silence fell again until the screen moved up and down, as in a nod.
"Oh." he stammered out, clearly ashamed now. He didn't know what to do, how could he do anything to help you while being just a voice? He thought for a while, not knowing what to do but he couldn't just leave you like this.
"Well... Why are you crying? Is it because of me?" He asked with hesitation, a little bit scared by that idea. Another silence filled the moment and the screen moved to the sides, swinging in protest at the Narrator's words. He sighed with relief, that's good to know "Ah, right. I was just asking to make sure to not speak of the truth any longer." he snapped a little bit, trying to get away from his concern about you but he was just pretending, keeping the image of the great and powerful Narrator. Another silence, now he feels sheepishly from his words, he shouldn't have said that. What if he hurt you?
"I-I'm sorry, I regret saying that." he started with a weaker voice, sounding gentle once more. He sighs and gives in to his concern about you "Why are you crying- Wait. Why are you playing the game while crying? What's up with that?" he asked with some confusion, genuinely curious as to why you were here while feeling unwell. Of course, you didn't answer, why should you talk to a voice from a video game? The Narrator took a moment to think of possible reasons why you were still playing. "Are you... Playing the game because it gives you some kind of comfort..?" he said sheepishly, not feeling confident in his question. What if that's not the answer?
To his relief and small shock, the screen moved up and down, confirming his question.
"Really?" he was clearly not expecting that, speaking a little bit slower from his surprise. You enjoyed his game so much that you would open it while feeling sad? It gave you comfort? Even when the Narrator was screaming and insulting you and your playing skills? How's that possible? What kind of a person you are to enjoy that? He felt both confused and kind of touched, you liked his game this much? He grunted, slightly awkward from this situation, he wasn't used to having such interactions with players.
"I see, right... Well, I'm flattered to know that but... I don't know what could possibly give you comfort here. I mean this is a plain office building, there are no pretty things to rave over. Maybe in some endings, there's some nice scenography I suppose. But what else can comfort you here? You die in this game, you are trapped in your own office, you have to suffer multiple times, you don't really get a happy ending. And you never get an ending, that's the purpose of this game. Does that comfort you? The idea of endless possibilities? Something that life cannot offer?"
The screen shook to the sides once more, denying the Narrator's words to which he let out a quiet hum in thought.
"That's strange. Is it the music? Does it comfort you? I do have to say that it is impressive but I never thought it would comfort someone while feeling upset."
The screen moved to the sides again.
"WHAT? Then what could possibly calm you here- the humor! You like the humor of it, don't you? Well, that flatters me, I do have a great sense of humor after all." the Narrator chuckled, getting a little bit ahead before your answer, clearly feeling confident and proud of himself. But that's not a correct answer either, you shake the screen to the sides once more and the Narrator's laughter fades away "Then I have no idea. Does the bucket give you comfort? I wouldn't be so surprised if it did, you looove it so much anyway." his voice turned slightly harsher as if he was frustrated with the idea of the bucket being a source of your comfort. But maybe it was, he never knew.
The screen shakes to the sides once more.
"I'm running out of ideas here, I don't know what else could-" his voice broke off for a moment, a sudden realization coming into his mind. He couldn't believe it, he didn't want to believe it but maybe it was true? He felt a little bit of hope in his heart "Could it be... That I give you comfort?" he asked with even more hesitation, maybe it was true.
The screen finally bopped up and down and the Narrator let out a small gasp, feeling even more shocked than before.
"Wait, really? Me? I'm the one who gives you comfort? After all, I shout at you, I insult you and you feel I'm comforting?! I'm starting to worry about your sense of self-worth."
A silence fell again, a longer one as the Narrator was thinking of your answer, not knowing what to do with it. He started to feel bad for his earlier insults toward you, even through that you thought he was... Comforting. He couldn't wrap his head around this, how's that possible? Maybe you're lying or need help since you enjoy listening to him throw insults at you. But somehow that made him feel a little bit nice, you enjoyed his presence, at least he thought you did so.
"Eghem... May I ask you something?"
The screen moved up and down at the Narrator's question.
"Do you... Like listening to me? Do you... Tolerate my presence?" he asked with a bit of sudden insecurity, not believing that you truly liked being with him in the game. But your answer stunned him again, you've confirmed it "Oh. That's... Hard to believe." he sighed and kept silent for a moment more "Thank you." he added with a lot of unexpected warmth in his voice, he sounded very touched. It was a very important answer for him, he felt that it meant a lot to him.
"Hey, uh... I know this might not help you feel better but I'd like to try either way. Maybe you'd like to see some of my unreleased work? I feel that I'd like to share it with you. If that's okay with you." He wanted to comfort you more, be kinder to you, you're the player of the game after all. You could make mistakes, go against him or do your own thing and he had to accept that, and he felt that he might be willing to.
The screen jumped up and down, a lot more enthusiastically, with more energy and vigor than before which made the Narrator feel a little bit happier.
"Great! Alright, let's see what I can show you..." he mumbled, and a sound of paper ruffling together rang out "Ah, yes. This seems interesting enough. Allow me to show you an idea of mine that I've saved for you, I'm sure you're going to enjoy it." the Narrator said with a joyful undertone in his voice, almost giggling from the excitement. Then the screen went black.

Hi!! Could you write about how the narrator would help a cold reader? :3
Did you send this ask to Soup, as well? There's one on his blog that's pretty similar to this one. In any case, I'll try to make it a lot different than his. also u seem very cold, plspls get under your blanket with some warm drink and consume narrator content
__________________________________________
This 100% depends on how much he knows you tbh
If he doesn't know you a lot he lowkey makes fun of you
"How are you cold? This is the perfect ambient temperature for many humans."
Meanwhile it's like 10 degrees Fahrenheit there
But let's assume he knows and likes you a lot
The Narrator gently places his hand on yours. Your fingers are absolutely frigid.
"Well, this simply won't do," he says. "Come here, Listener."
With a wave of his other hand, he spawns in a heated blanket calibrated to your needs precisely. With another wave, the two of you are in the Zen Room. The floor is soft and squishy. It's almost like a giant bed
He gently encourages you to lay down. He puts the blanket on top of you, smiling a private little smile when he sees the goosebumps start to fade.
"Fall asleep if you wish," he says. "I'll be here when you wake up."

Look out! Here comes my first writing piece!
To be completely honest, I'm not sure what to title this. I heard a slightly depressing tiktok audio and this is what came into fruition from it. Enjoy. Oh and also. I know this is tagged angst but it really isn't heart wrenching enough to classify. So uhhhh yeah.
——————————————————————————
Admittedly, you were getting attached.
Falling for someone who didn’t exist.
A set of pre recorded lines
that made your heart flutter like no other.
In the grand scheme of things,
his existence seemed inconsequential.
But he was special.
Special to you.
His laughter,
sarcastic remarks and smart quips;
Something no one could replace,
you think.
Playing that silly little game that brings you such joy,
his voice appears,
washing away every doubt in your mind.
Even so,
your heart aches.
Such an intricate thing this game was.
You couldn’t deny
He was everything you wanted,
right there.
Yet so far out of reach.
But you’re okay with that.
Stanley in your place,
While you yearn for someone
You can never have.

Narrator x reader making him jealous by using the bucket.
Warning:Grammatical errors
It all started for a joke after narrator had the wonderful idea to use a bucket for "comfort", you didn't know why he used a bucket out of all objects in his program. You didn't ask many questions since Stanley seem to enjoy it.
Stanley brought that bucket everywhere and did make some requests if you wanted to hold it for comfort. You didn't need it since the narrator already doing the job to make you feel at home.
Until,one day,you accepted the request and hold the bucket causing the narrator and stanley acting shocked for finally accepting to hold the bucket. Stanley ask how you feel and you say that's strangely comforting. Stanley was pleased after that.
After a little while,you had the wonderful idea to tease your narrator by flirting with the bucket. You wanted to see what happen and maybe making him a little bit jealous. Ha,just a silly thought,it wouldn't happen.
"Wha... are you seriously flirting with a bucket,darling?" Narrator ask full of confusion on why you're doing this only for you to answer by smirking and continue to flirt.
"I don't get it. What so wonderful about that bucket?" Narrator keep asking while Stanley was trying to keep his laugh,seem like he got the hint before Narrator does. Kind of oblivious.
You keep flirting with the bucket and sometimes fake smooch it. Narrator is getting annoyed by it and falling into your trap but..
"..im better then that bucket." Narrator growls in jealousy,leaving you speechless because you thought he was actually getting the joke hint and start to tease you. But no,you got a much funnier reaction.
You start laughing and tease the narrator for it. The narrator was scolding you but it didn't stop you from teasing him. Stanley take the bucket back to hide the smile and giggles behind the bucket.
You had to reassure the narrator with love and kisses. It was worth it.

have you ever written general dating/nsfw hcs for the narrator from the stanley parable…??? if you haven’t…cough em’ up bc i need him SO badly. /j
okay more tsp 🤭 for being a literal voice, he’s so adorable
i didnt add any nsfw to this (sorry!!!!!) but you can request nsfw headcanons separately if you’d like :)
Tumblr media
— one of the best things about dating the narrator would be his ability to create romantic and memorable experiences! he might surprise you with a romantic picnic in the park, or take you on a spontaneous road trip to see the stars! and he can be such a hopeless romantic, writing love letters for you and using big fancy words to tell you how much he loves you.
however, i feel like he could also be unpredictable and moody. he might suddenly switch from being charming and romantic to distant and aloof, leaving you wondering what you did wrong 😭,, he’s just a bit of a drama queen and he’ll be over it in fifteen minutes anyways
you would have to be comfortable with being in the spotlight, as the narrator can be quite theatrical and he just loves to perform. he might recite poetry to you in public, or make grand gestures that draw attention from those around you.
he can also be quite controlling at times,,, as he likes to be in charge of the situation. this can usually be both exhilarating and frustrating, as you might feel like you are being led on a journey without knowing where it will end up.
and i feel like he can also be quite intense at times, and might struggle with expressing his emotions in a healthy way. he might become jealous or possessive quite easily, and could have a tendency to overanalyze and overthink situations.
despite these potential issues, the narrator would always try to be honest and upfront with you about his feelings. He would see communication as a key component of any healthy relationship, and would encourage you to be open and honest with him as well!!
he would be an excellent listener, and would always be there to offer support and advice when you need it. he would be able to see things from your perspective and would try to understand your feelings and motivations.
i feel like he would be super attentive to your needs and desires, and would go out of his way to make you feel special and appreciated! this could include things like giving you your favorite snacks, surprising you with thoughtful gifts, or taking you on extravagant dates!
overall though, dating the narrator would be a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences. you would have to be prepared for the unexpected, and be willing to take a chance on someone who isn’t like anyone else you have ever met. it would be a complex and challenging experience, but one that would be filled with love, passion, and commitment! he would always keep you on your toes, and would never let things become dull or routine.

fandom. :: the stanley parable.
pairing. :: narrator + child!reader. (familial)
cw/tws. :: nothing just fluff lmao.
notes. :: fatherly narrator my beloved. reader is neurodivergent except its based off of my own personal experiences with being neurodivergent. reader also paints (not with brushes.)
Tumblr media
youve been at this for nearly an hour now. what truly was so mesmerizing about painting with acrylics and getting yourself dirty¿ your shirt and pants had paint that would be sure to stain for quite a few wash cycles, and your skin ! by goodness, your hands were covered in different colours, some dried and some that could still be wiped off against different surfaces.
you had been exploring, much against narrator's best wishes, and stumbled upon whichever room this was. it looked like an art classroom. out of all the things you couldve created art with, and you chose the messiest, not even using a brush to paint with. no ! you simply used your fingers to create the art work, occasionally picking up the sponge beside you and using it to help apply colours in certain places.
whats worse¿ the majority of paint that hadnt been used in your pictures had simply been reused to be painted onto your legs and arms. by god your arms and legs were certainly the most colourful parts of your body now. you even managed to get paint on your forehead, how on earth had you managed that¿ narrator had already knew the troubles that would come with keeping an eye on a younger person, but he hadnt realized that this is what a thirteen year old would be so fascinated with.
at first, he didnt really mind your focus on the paintings you were working at. it gave him the ability to ramble on about whatever story was on his mind at the time. but when he started feeling as though you were no longer even listening to him, he got just the slightest bit antsy. but by now, he was tired of your current inattentiveness, a heavy sigh escaping from the otherworldly deity before he manifested his physical form beside you.
that seemed to be enough to pull you from the artwork you worked on, looking at the deity beside you as you wiped the excess paint on your hands onto the sides of your pant legs. in his hand, there was a damp washcloth, which, in your mind, instantly connected to you needing to stop painting, your smile fading into a disappointed frown.
the male beside you seemed to pick up instantly as he started cleaning the paint off your face. he was careful as to not run the fabric too hard against your skin, being mindful of the texture of the dampened cloth against the skin of your face. it took you a moment before you spoke up. “ is it time to stop painting already¿ ” you wore a pout on your lips, earning a nod from the narrator who wasted no more time responding vocally.
“ youve been painting here quite a while, and while i admit i could have continued on my rant about whatever else you could be doing, i have the strong feeling you would keep painting to your hearts desire. ” it was a simple but drawn out explanation, which you understood. it was disappointing. you wanted to keep painting. “ we have to continue on with the story, (name). ” he pointed out, before adding on to his previous statement. “ but you can paint to your hearts desire next time. for now, why dont we go on our way now¿ ”
as the paint on your face was fully gone now, the damp cloth pulled away, seemingly disappearing in thin air as your smile returned to your face. “ alrighty !! ” you spoke, turning in your seat and standing. “ and we'll save these for the memory zone. ” with that, the paintings you had been working on since you found this room disappeared, the door to the room opening. when you looked back to where the narrator sat previously to find him no longer here, his voice speaking up.
“ now up from their seat, (name) turned to the door and left the room so that they could continue the story. ” at the prompt, you were quick to leave the room, following his instructions. it wasnt too long before something else seemed to distract you. without so much of a heads up, you walked off to do your own thing, earning a lighthearted sigh from the narrator.
this would take a while. but he was willing to wait if he had to.

could we get some HCs about how the Narrator from TSP would do/act like if the was falling in love with the reader?
like maybe he adds new areas to the game just for us or expresses his love in the most cheesy but poetic ways possible.
maybe stanley is just watching this all happen like "s i g h when will they realise they have a crush on eachother smh"
Ooo yay!! I was wondering how Reader would exist in the TSP world but I decided that (unless otherwise specified) they would be a Player!Reader who can separate themselves from Stanley anytime they wish (like in the Not Stanley ending)
And for Narrator I hc he remembers resets, but only the deeply traumatic ones (Skip Button, Not Stanley, and Zending) and has fuzzy memories of the rest
..............
When you show up in Narrator's dimension/room during his sad monologue in the NS ending, you take him by surprise.
He didn't think you could appear to him physically within the game.
Let’s face it, he hasn’t seen another human person who could actually talk to him in forever..so he nearly falls off his chair from the shock.
But he’s immediately enamored by your looks and voice.
Oh, how wonderful was your voice!
Though the first words you speak call him out on his childish insults to Stanley (and his “coward” remark when you couldn’t speak into the office’s receiver).
And Narrator sulks, forgetting the game didn’t allow you to connect a mic.
“I’m truly sorry, dear player. I see this is..my retribution for forcing you into all these choices. For demanding impossible things out of you. I suppose I needed to learn a few lessons myself. Would you return to Stanley so we can continue this story? Please?”
But you insist on staying for a while, wanting to prove a point.
And you two end up talking for a while, which Stanley faintly hears.
Tbh Narrator forgets how to have normal conversations, though he finds out your real name and your hobbies outside of this game.
After the game resets, you pop into his room again before making Stanley leave his office, wanting to get to know Narrator better.
And for the first time he starts to feel...love?
It’s confusing and surely would hinder him from his job.
Though that doesn’t stop him from setting up new paths and opening new doors, going on tangents about Stanley’s coworkers who dated in secret or describing how he and his “wife” celebrate Valentine’s Day or the “blossoming” romance between him and the bucket.
It’s painfully obvious that Narrator’s projecting onto both you (who didn’t really get the hints and is like “oh yay new paths”) and Stanley (who is just like “ugh are they that oblivious?”).
You also realize Narrator stopped insulting the bucket altogether if Stanley takes it, knowing how much you like it.
Though at one point, you notice Narrator’s monologue in the lounge room is more sullen, as he suddenly laments on how pointless love seems (while not-so-subtly admitting his crush on you and worries that you’ll grow bored of this game one day and leave him forever).
So you keep Stanley in place and go comfort him, the protagonist encouraging you with a nod.
This touch-starved higher being is shocked by your hug, but when you tell him you loved him for him (and not just his narrations and powers), he’s flustered yet relieved he didn’t make a fool out of himself.
Meanwhile, Stanley smiles as he hears him stumbling over his words when he realizes he heard the entire confession.
But...Narrator’s still unsure about some things, so as a “test” he leads you to the Zending and fills the space dome with heart-shaped lights and your favorite colors, wondering what you’ll do this time.
He’s afraid you’re gonna take Stanley up the stairs again, as he can’t change anything about this ending.
And yet...you don’t. You let him stay put and visit Narrator so you can watch the spectacle together for a while.
“You may not see yourself as real..but I do.” You reassure him. “I promise I won’t make any choices that hurt you ever again.”
He makes sure to mute himself so Stanley didn’t hear him cry.
You truly wanted him to be happy, too.

✦ The Narrator's Reaction To You Calling Him A Pet Name From Your Native Language
✦Pairing/s: The Narrator x Gn! Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: Here ye! Here ye! I hereby officially announce that i now write for TSP! ╰(▔∀▔)╯
Word Count: 232
Content Warning/s: None
Content/s: Fluff — Platonic/Romantic — Headcanons — The use of [Name] in place of Y/n — Narrator being a tsundere
Fandom: The Stanley Parable
What i will write + Introduction
Tumblr media
✦THE NARRATOR is initially caught off guard when the you suddenly call him that. He's not sure how to react, but his immediate instinct is to assume that it's something derogatory or insulting.
And so, He asks you what you referred to him as. He's genuinely curious about the potential meaning behind the word.
When you explain that it's actually a term of endearment in your language, Narrator tries to maintain his composure and act unaffected. He puts on a stern facade, insisting that he doesn't like being called such names.
However, despite his best efforts to hide it, you can easily tell that the Narrator is flustered. You notice a nervous fidget in his voice. It's clear that he's actually quite taken aback by the pet name, but he's trying to play it cool.
When you ask him about it, The Narrator goes into overdrive, trying to deflect from his feelings. He starts rambling on about the next set of instructions or describing the scenery in the game, desperately trying to change the subject and ignore your "attempted distraction" towards him.
If you're lucky enough. He'd admit to you that he actually likes the pet name, but he's still a bit embarrassed about it, trying to pass it off as no big deal.
"I..I guess I don't really mind such names. But it's not something I'm used to, [Name.]"
