[1956]
“Who's that?” Thomas asked.
“That,” said Duck, proudly, “is a celebrity.”
“A what?” Hermes inquired.
“Someone famous, I think.” Thomas said.
“More than just that, that's the City of Truro!” The pannier tank enthused. “She set a speed record near the turn of the century, before any of today's railways were even formed - well, barring the Great Western, of course. She's amazing - someone engines like us can only dream of meeting, and here she is! In the framework!”
“Well, now's your chance to meet your ‘celebrity crush’.” Thomas teased.
“Oh, she's much too famous to even notice us.”
“What's the old saying?” Thomas grinned. “You never know until you try? C'mon, just go talk to her.”
“I- I can't just- HEY-!”
Thomas pulled forward, and began pushing Duck towards the famous engine.
“Thomas-Stop-Don'tJust--!”
“Just…Go…Talk…To…Her…!”
Duck desperately clamped down his brakes, trying in vain to resist as Thomas shoved him across the yard, the two making quite the scene in the process. Hermes wanted to intervene, but at the same time, he was struggling to hold in his laughter.
In the end, Duck lost the reverse-tug-of-war, and found himself right next to a very confused City of Truro.
“Pardon me, ma'am,” Thomas said in a voice the whole yard could hear, “someone would like to speak with you!”
Thomas then quickly backed away, giving the two engines space. Duck looked ready to kill the tank engine.
The celebrity stared, seemingly unsure what to make of the interaction that had just taken place.
“Um- hi,” Duck began, shyly. “May I talk to you?”
“Of course,” the engine smiled.
“I must apologize for my… rambunctious colleague back there.” Duck began.
“Oh, it's quite alright.” Truro said with another bright smile. She grinned, then added, “I see you are one of Us.”
“Ah- I do try and show them our ways.”
“Ship-shape and Swindon Style!” The two cheered in chorus, before sharing a laugh.
“Oh god.” Hermes sighed. “Now there's two of them.”

First Post! (OCs!)
Hello all! I figure that for my first post on this site, I shoud talk a bit about my Main TTTE OCs. I have 3 main main guys that have fully customized trainz models, and then 2 more that don't.
The first 3, from left to right, are: Dean - A german Köf II shunter built in england, Dean is one of the most down to earth and clever engines around. He's very good at thinking logically and planning ahead, but he struggles with communicating. He finds it hard to put his thoughts into words and sometimes entirely misses social cues in conversations.
Hermes - A Caledonian Railway class 66, Hermes is an agreeable engine. He's optimistic, witty, relaxed, and a hard worker, but he also gets distracted quite easily and can sometimes forget important things when his train of thought is derailed.
Jayden - A freelanced 0-6-0, Jayden is an Eternal Middle Child. He's always playing second fiddle to the engines around him, despite his best efforts. He's very creative and talented, but he gets frustrated easily which leads to him just giving up on things sometimes.
Ares - An SR schools class, Ares is a very salty and bitter engine. He acts like he's somebody's ex-boyfriend but he's definitely never been able to have one date, let alone a full-on relationship. He especially likes dabbling in gossip & slanderous rumors!
Lastly, we have the only engine of my 5 mains that doesn't have a trainz model.
Angus - An Erie L-1, Angus is about the most chill someone could be. Strong as he may be, her patience is remarkable. They mainly care for their work (and not accidentally squashing any smaller engines) and almost look down on the other engines' antics like the critics from the muppets. (Also they go by literally any pronouns.)
I hope you guys enjoy these buffons as much as I do!
(Have an extra photo of Hermes in an LMS Crimson Lake paint scheme next to James, as a treat.)

[1994]
“I left for a few minutes to bring Rebecca's coaches to the platform, and when I came back, one well-wagon was across two tracks and had taken down a signal pole!” Almond laughed.
“James has been here how long, and he still doesn't know how to shunt?” Billy grunted.
“Longer than I have.” Hermes chuckled.
Sebina rolled her eyes.
“He always tells me how I'm 'too small to be of any use’,” she huffed. “Where's that energy when he has to shunt his own trucks?”
“Fair play, Sebina,” Hermes reminded, “you and I were built for shunting. He wasn't.”
“What was he built for, anyway?” Sebina retorted. “With how many wrecks he gets into on a yearly basis, I'd think he was meant to be someone's stunt-double.”
Almond and Hermes laughed.
“Honestly, we should probably have extra shunters in most yards like this, so someone can bring the rescue crews when James in particular crashes spectacularly again.” Sebina went on.
“Y'know,” Almond began, “you might be about to get your wish.”
A big, dark green tank engine pulled up nearby. The letters 'NW’ on his cab sides implied he was more than just another visiting engine.
“Hey there!” Almond greeted. “I take it you're new around here?”
“I am.” The engine said, in an almost rigid tone.
“I'm Almond. The girl in the tan and gold is Sebina, the green saddle tank to my left is Hermes, and next to him in the orange is Billy.”
“Heya,” Sebina smiled.
“Hello,” Hermes chimed.
“'Sup,” Billy said.
“Understood.” The new engine said, firmly. “My name is Orpheus. This is Vicarstown Yard, correct? I've been told I'll be working with you all.”
“Sounds good!” Almond smiled. “I'll show you where we put everything.”
Orpheus nodded, then followed as Almond set off to show him around the yards.
“So,” Hermes addressed his fellow saddle tank engines, “what do you two make of him?”
“He seems eager to work,” Sebina began.
“But he seems a little… I dunno, emotionless?” Billy added.
“It’s probably just because he’s new.” Hermes said. “I’m sure he’ll lighten up after he gets to know us.”
