Do you have a favorite anime studio or creator
Not particularly. I tend to like individual shows and MAYBE franchises. The most I do is check if a studio who is tackling something I like has a good track record or not.
For instance, the studio behind the new Sailor Moon movies is studio DEEN which would explain why the animation in the Sailor moon movies, despite being MOVIES, looks so clunky and mid-level TV quality. Studio DEEN does not have a great repertoire. Most of their shows on MAL are somewhere in the 6/10 range with some dipping to 5 which is VERY low for MAL.
On the other side, the upcoming anime for Kaiju No. 8 (which is a manga I love) is Production I.G. which has a much better pedigree in terms of quality even if you ignore them doing every Ghost in the Shell ever. Most notably they're behind quite a few animated versions of Ultraman which makes them a good fit for Kaiju.
KyoAni probably has one of the best track record for animation quality in TV animation, even with the extreme loss they recently suffered due to an unhinged fan murdering 30 of their staff. But I am not actually the biggest fan of KyoAni as they tend to focus on Light Novel adaptations. And I don't enjoy the writing style of the kind of Light Novels KyoAni likes to take on as projects.
But the king of animation at the moment is probably studio Trigger, the spiritual successor of Gainax who are set to tackle Dungeon Meshi which means the Dungeon meshi anime is probably gonna be fucking amazing. Trigger's biggest problem is they lack restraint, and need projects that can pull on their reins a big to stop them from going overboard. This is why Edgerunners worked so well for them as it forced them to work within certain parameters.
Bones is a lot like Trigger in terms of the level of quality they put out, but Bones is currently stuck in My hero Academia hell which eats up most of their time and focus. That being said, their work on Mob psycho 100 shows they are still a top contender when it comes to animation quality when given the opportunity.
As for Creators, I'm not a big hanger on of anyone. Usually I just end up noticing patterns between the shows I like where I suddenly realise the same director or writer or storyboarder worked on several shows I like but that's about it. I like Ikuhara for Sailor Moon and Utena, and I enjoyed what I've seen so far of Mawaru Penguindrum, but I don't go out of my way to seek out work specifically by him.
I focus more on individual creators when it comes to manga. And that extends to anime. So if I see a manga author I like has a new anime adaptation coming up, I'll check to see what studio is working on it because I am interested in that manga author's work.
I tend to be this way with music for the most part too, especially growing up. These days yes there are individual bands I like, but for most of my teenage years and even early adult years, I was more interested in individual songs I liked rather than a band or singer.

Movie Reviews: The Greatest Hits / Civil War
This week I got to review two very different films:
The Greatest Hits
This week sees the Hulu release of the recent SXSW hit The Greatest Hits, a romantic drama fantasy. What got my attention was star Lucy Boynton, who has very quietly become a standout in multiple films notably the dream girl in Sing Street, which I named my #1 Movie of 2016. She is widely known for playing Freddie Mercury's fiance in Bohemian Rhapsody, an uneven music biopic, but no denying the lead performances. Here, she is the lead carrying the movie. No second billing 'cause she's a star now!
Tumblr media
movie poster
Boynton plays Harriet, a woman who is still mourning the passing of her boyfriend Max. She is finding that certain songs can transport her back to a particular place and time - literally. Upon hearing a song on the radio or in a coffee shop, she goes back to a point and time in the relationship. This causes her to go through her entire record collection and note which albums do and don't have that effect. Then while at her support group, she meets David, who is dealing with loss of his own. They hit it off, but she's having trouble letting go of the past and pondering if she should change the past too.
Music geekdom in pop culture is usually male-driven, which is why the TV version of High Fidelity, where Zoe Kravitz took over the John Cusack role in the film, was so exciting. The idea of a female-driven music geek movie about a protagonist who browses record stores and organizes her record collection is something pop culture should catch up with. Why does it have to be male-driven movies about music geeks? I say this as a male music geek who frequents record stores and organizes my music collection! But in terms of this movie, I think I liked the idea of it better than the actuality. The movie itself had an interesting concept about the way that a song can take you back to another place and time, but then it just fell into romantic tear-jerker tropes. But the thing is I really wanted to like this, especially since Boynton deserves a star-vehicle of her own.

Civil War
British author / writer / director Alex Garland has had a mixed bag as a writer/director. His 1996 book The Beach was adapted by Danny Boyle in 2000, which had its moments but more or less became a star vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio. That lead to Garland's screenwriting with Boyle directing 28 Days Later and Sunshine. For the former, I dug the first two-thirds and then it fell apart in the last third. However I will say that there's an alternate ending on the DVD that they didn't film, but show the storyboards with voiceover and that would've been a much stronger ending and movie as a whole. The later I don't remember too well, but remember liking it when I saw it. Over the last decade, Garland has brought his dystopian bleak view of the world to the director's seat with mixed results. His best work IMHO was 2014's Ex Machina, which came out just as Siri and Alexa were becoming commonplace and had something to say about AI. If Stanley Kubrick was alive in the 2010s, that's exactly the kind of movie he would've made (NOTE: I said "kind of" not "exactly like"). Now Garland's back with another bleak future, this one about the Divided States of America in Civil War, which opens this week from A24.

In a war-torn U.S., there's a civil war raging with some states resisting the current president (a wasted Nick Offerman, who is barely in it). In NYC, veteran war photographer Lee (Kirsten Dunst) is covering a protest and saves Jesse (Cailee Spaeny), a young photographer just starting out who is actually a fan of Lee's. The next day Lee and her journalist partner Joel (Wagner Moura) are getting ready to drive from NYC to D.C. in the midst of this chaos in hopes of scoring an interview with the president before the rebels get to the White House first. Along for the ride is Sammy (Stephen McKinley Henderson), an older New York Times reporter, and to Lee's dismay, Jesse. Along the way, they see a lot in this dystopian horror-show. Lee and her team get up close for their coverage. As Lee says in the movie (not a spoiler) their job is not to ask questions, just to photograph and let others ask questions.
I had a lot of issues with this movie. First of all, it only scratched the surface. This movie brings up some hot button issues and it's being released in an election year and yet it doesn't really dive too deep only scratches the surface. The film gives no context as to how any of this happened. I don't need everything answered for me in a movie and I'm all for ambiguity when it works, but this just seemed like a missed opportunity. There could've been something to say about the left and the right and where that leaves the middle ground or something to say about Trump waging war on the press, but instead it said, well, not too much. Kirsten Dunst, who is always reliable, was easily the highlight of the film. She is among the greatest child actors who continued to deliver great performances as an adult. Between all of her collaborations with Sofia Coppola (The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, and The Beguiled), the excellent Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Melancholia (an uneven movie but truly elevated by Dunst), TV's Fargo, and her Oscar-nominated performance in The Power of the Dog, she has quite an impressive filmography. And did I mention she was excellent as MJ in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy! Here, she pulls off an internalized role of a hardened veteran. It's all in her eyes with this performance. But the biggest issue I have with Civil War is that is trying to be deep, profound and meaningful...and by the end it felt like - that's it?!?! Axl Rose singing "what's so civil about war anyways?" was more deep than this!

SATOSHI KON
“If you look at a dream overall, it's very difficult to discern the meaning. However, as time goes on, there might be certain meanings in the background. Movies that you can watch once and understand- That is the type of movie I don't really like. There might be a certain part you don't quite understand, but there is a portion that rests in your heart.”
"With feelings of gratitude for all that is good in this world, I put down my pen. Well, I'll be leaving now." -Satoshi Kon
Satoshi Kon was born on October 12, 1963, his birth name was Yoshihiro Wanibuchi. He was an animator, character designer, storyboard artist, director, screen writer and manga artist from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Most of Kon's school years were spent in Sapporo, and would attend the Hokkaido Kushiro Koryo highschool. It was around this time Kon became interested in the world of animation. Some of his favourite works are Space Battleship Yamato, Heidi, Girl of the Alps, Future boy Conan and Mobile Suit Gundam. One of Kon's greatest influences for his drawings was science fiction author Yasutaka Tsuitsui, author of Paprika, which was adapted by Satoshi Kon into a movie in 2006. Kon was an enthusiastic fan of foreign films as well. John Ford, Stanley Kubrisk and Alfred Hitchcock are notable western influencial figures in Satoshi Kon's storytelling. Kon entered the Graphic Design course of the Musahiro Art University in 1982. While in college, Kon made his made his debut as a manga artist with the short story Toriko, which earned runner-up spot in the 10th annual Tatsuya Chiba awards held by Young Magazine, afterwards, he worked as an assistant for manga artist Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of the legendary Akira. After graduating college, Kon worked in anime for the first time as an animator and background designer for the film Roujin Z, written by Otomo. He would also animate in works such as Jojo's Bizarre adventures and Hashire Melos. During his time working on the short-film Magnetic Rose, Kon would develop his love for the theme of fantasy and reality, which is the key theme of his movies and tv shows. In the year 1994, Kon would end his career as a manga artist completely and devote himself to the craft of anime. In 1997, Kon released his Directorial debute, Perfect Blue, produced by studio Madhouse, followed by his many legendary creations, Millenium Actress, Tokyo Goadfathers and Paranoia Agent and Paprika. These films go on to influence countless Japanese as well as Western Pop culture media, and would staple Satoshi Kon as one of the greatest film directors of all time. In 2007, Kon helped established and served as a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association. In the year 2010, while working on what would be his potential final film, Dreaming Machine, Kon was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, and was given just half an year to live. On August 24th 2010, Kon passed away. The news was met with widespread shock, as Kon had decided to keep his illness a secret from the public. After his death, Kon was mentioned among the Fond Farewells in Time's people of the year,2010. His final film, Dreaming Machine, is still on hold under production, as producers search for someone who would be able to emulate and live up to Satoshi Kon's directory style.

I genuinely do not care what the cast and crew of a show have to say in terms of figuring out what's """canon""".
First of all, I really strongly prefer a more death of the author-aligned interpretation of all forms of media as "interactive" in the sense that each experience is created as an ephemeral interaction between the individual person serving as audience, the time and place and state of mind in which they experience that media, and the work itself. Consumption itself is inherently transformative. From that angle, how can I view "well X said Y so Y is the only possible answer" as anything but frustrating and limiting?
Second, I prefer focusing on the actual text of a completed story that is presented to the audience. I refuse to maintain a never-absolutely-finished, sometimes-contradictory, nebulous concept of "canon" that includes the text of the actual material and a bunch of other commentary and tie-in materials and whatnot that I may or may not care about, that might be released years later or in a completely different format or by a very different creative team.
Third of all, a lot of media is collaborative, but especially stuff like TV shows or plays. Writers, storyboarders, voice actors... there's so many people putting their own interpretations of the characters and worldbuilding and themes into the story. Yeah, it's true that Infinity Train is more Owen Dennis's creation than, say, Ernie Hudson's. But to me personally, it feels... mmmm... not disrespectful, exactly, but maybe dishonest? to take just one person's word as gospel.
Anyway, none of that rules out accepting things the cast and crew have said as "headcanon" or "my personal canon", by which I mean, talking and thinking about the show through the lens of assuming they are true. And I'm not on board with completely disregarding "the author"'s intentions and perspectives - I think creator perspectives are interesting and meaningful and worth talking about. (And sometimes "no, I'm going to bring my own perspective to this work" is outright bad, e.g. "I don't care that this isn't a Western story, I'm going to interpret and judge it by treating American values as a neutral default perspective.") Even so, I sometimes find myself getting frustrated at myself for looking for, appreciating, or accepting creator commentary and interpretations. I know that doesn't make sense - doing that doesn't invalidate everything I wrote above. Can't help the way I feel, though.
And that makes it sooo frustrating to read Owen Dennis's AMA's because I really like his suggestions for answers to lore or character backstory details that aren't fully explained in the show. No!!! I'm vibing so hard with this man!!! He suggests something - even sometimes in a context where it could arguably be interpreted as a joke! - and I'm immediately like, "yeah dude that sounds great! what a cool and meaningful interpretation, that's definitely my headcanon now." ugh!!!

HOW TO GET INTO STORYBOARDING (FOR CHEAP!) - ALEX DAVY
Alex is a storyboard artist for animation and illustrator born in London and living in Newcastle, UK.
Alex trained with Bluezoo in London, completing story tests for Locksmith film studio, and boards on children’s animated TV across 2D, 3D and Stop-motion shows. The hubris of Aaron
The more I think about the Dragon Prince backstage problems, the more I am convinced it is a test case of hubris: the over-confidence and extreme pride and unchecked power trip that has never yet lead to good things. Which we know from all the human culture – starting from myths and ending with the Game of Thrones, and well, Avatar the Last Airbender.
I am new to ATLA fandom and a year ago I knew nothing about its creators. Over the time I was aware about Aaron Ehasz and his role as a head writer. Bryke were often criticized for various narrative problems, sometimes fairly, sometimes not, and Aaron Ehasz who was a head writer on AtLA was widely considered as a man who came and made it all better. And to be fair, in many instances, he did. Making Toph a little blind girl, Azula, Ty Lee and Mai, etc…  But creating tv series, especially animated is a collaborative process. There are writers, directors, animators, storyboard artists, voice actors and many more who create the story. Attributing all good things – or all bad things -  on one person is disingenuous. Yet it is often argued in fandom that all good things in ATLA were due to Ehasz involvement and all bad things due to Bryke not understanding what they are doing.
So, anyway, over the years, Ehasz got a reputation of an ultimate source of goodness, quality, feminism and diversity in Avatar the Last Airbender. And if I discovered that in a month, I am pretty sure he was aware of that as well.
And as he got used to this reputation, he happily capitalized on it, also in promoting The Dragon Prince.  And he didn’t even have to do anything that actually proved his reputation, just to remind of himself, and his reputation did the rest all by itself.
And that’s what he did over the course of last year – it puzzled me, why drop those little meaningless tidbits about atla that never brought anything new and interesting, but stirred the pot and fed into the bitterness and divisiveness of the atla fandom?  His possible ideas about season 4, Azula’s redemption, Aang’s evilness, Koh’s large part, etc…  It all felt out of place - but it was all to remind us that he was the perfect writer with perfect ideas, and now he was bringing us his perfect new show untainted with wrong associations.
The Dragon Prince is all built on that promise. It’s not bad, but at some point the promised must be delivered.
A lot of people were seduced by this promise – to make a perfect story all together. Except it’s Aaron Ehasz’s story, and we were there to do as we told. We, as audience, to watch and spread the world. People who work with him are to follow his command, because he is a perfect author who knows the right way to go. But many people who came to work with him, who were excited to bring his perfect vision to life, came with the ideas that he wants to make the story as good as it can be. But AE, I think believes, that as he is the perfect author, so is his story is perfect. And anyone who is not willing to shut up, worship him and do as they are told, well… they are not needed.
I read what Danika, Lulu and others said, and I want to cry. They came to this dream job to help this perfect creator to make perfect story, and were treated like shit.
Aaron E. worked at Riot Games, which management supported and encouraged toxic atmosphere, that hurt many women and men that worked there, which is detailed here. There are law suits and all that by now. Apparently AE brought that attitude with him.
His reply was he didn’t do anything wrong, and maybe legally he didn’t. But he did treat people horribly, and his reputation starts turning against him. Which won’t bring anything good to anyone.
https://www.kotaku.com.au/2019/02/inside-the-culture-of-sexism-at-riot-games/
I’ve seen the replies “well, he is just a bad boss, nothing wrong about it.” There is a world of wrong with being a bad boss – it destroys the team, it destroys people, it destroys whatever they are supposed to do. There are no winners there, except for the bad bosses themselves.
I used to work with the boss who was “my way or highway”. I wasn’t personally mistreated, and the money was too good to just leave, but I hated every morning that I had to go to work. And eventually I was asked to do something that I found disgusting professionally, and I left. And I couldn’t even ask them for references after that. Which cost me, but I don’t regret it a single bit. Toxic atmosphere at work is a real problem that is detrimental to everyone. No, that company didn’t survive long either.
Hubris rarely ends well when left unchecked because it tends to grow bolder and at some point the bubble has to burst.
If people start leaving, even quietly, if no one wants to work with AE, he can write as many twits about his great ideas and some passive-aggressive snipes at how some other people didn’t want to listen to them or ask him to come for other shows, at some point the reputation stops working all by itself. At some point it starts working against. And even now, the glowing reviews for the season 3 are coming out with the message “the show is pretty good, but please clean your mess.”

how does anime work?
I think it is important and interesting to find out the fundamental aspects of the environment that we most have a passion for, and one of the most critical questions is: how is cartoons built? For me, specifically recently, this became a using up question and I ended right up doing some detailed analysis. For the sake involving other anime followers together with the same question, My partner and i thought about sharing my own benefits. So if you want the bullets in order to fire again the subsequent time you receive ensnared upward in a debate with regards to the merits of anime, or you want some sort of new way to watch cartoons, I hope this article is useful to you. In often the last year roughly, my personal growing interest in this kind of side of points seriously opened my eyes to the skill, art, passion, and splendor found within Japanese animation. This great article will focus on anime-TV manufacturing, but the same general process can be applied to videos in addition to OVUM. That claimed, there can be numerous variations between studios and even individual musicals or plays. The approach of doing an anime is difficult, with quite a few steps and development. This specific graphic from the AIC English website is the good image image involving what I will certainly focus on: The cartoons generation course of action. Preproduction: This process will depend on which promotes an concept in addition to who supports this, they can be animation companies, coupled with sponsors, although quite a few animes are manga arrangement or mild novels, throughout which case in advance writing costs (including costs). proven on television stations). This production corporation (eg Aniplex) gathers personnel, sponsors, and even looks at adverts together with merchandise. While numerous persons describe the galleries because cheap, only about half the budget is often this anime studio, the sleep is handed down by exhibits and other giving companies. Streaming costs are surprisingly high, according to this ghost blogger of roughly 50 million yen for an evening schedule in 5-7 discussions for a good 52-episode line. You can certainly see why anime is usually an expensive company. For instance, Whole Metal Alchemist, which will acquired a space in Saturday on 6: 00 p. n., had a good total budget of five hundred million yen (before more costs). When the core staff is arranged, these people meet and plan his or her anime, work on collection make up (how the cartoons will play in each tv show as well as throughout the series), and select bigger employees, such as character or maybe mecha designers.. One connected with the most crucial employees is the director. In order to fully grasp the role involving film fans, you can consider of them for the reason that film fans of a movie, yet instead of dealing together with the celebrities, they deal with the computer animators that make the characters inside the movie. Their participation is frequently attending conferences and producing decisions to manage the particular anime's schedule, budget, and even level of quality. After the 1st panoramic sessions, models will be created (character, mechón, fancy dress costumes, etc. ). Types will be obviously an important factor within developing a good cartoons. Character designers are requested with simplifying manga / example of this designs to turn out to be suitable for animation or maybe, in the case of the original anime, for you to create a fresh character placed based with director / manufacturer information. https://www1.kissanime.li/Ani/Bleach/ The approach of building an anime is difficult, with many steps and periods. That graphic from the AIC English web site is the good image image involving what My spouse and i will explore: The cartoons manufacturing course of action. Preproduction: This process is determined by that promotes an concept together with who supports that, they are often animation studios, together with vendors, although numerous animes can be manga modifications or gentle novels, around which case upfront building costs (including costs). displayed on television stations). This production company (eg Aniplex) gathers employees, sponsors, and looks at advertisements in addition to merchandise. While a lot of persons describe the studios since cheap, only about half of the budget is often the cartoons studio, the relaxation is given to by presents and other contributing firms. Streaming costs will be surprisingly high, according to the cat blogger of approximately 60 million yen regarding an night time schedule throughout 5-7 posts for a good 52-episode set. You may see why anime is definitely an expensive business. For case in point, Total Metal Alchemist, which had the space upon Saturday from 6: 00 p. meters., had the total budget regarding 5 hundred million yen (before extra costs). When the central staff is arranged, they will meet and plan their particular anime, work on sequence structure (how the cartoons will play in each instance and throughout the series), and select much larger personnel, such as character or perhaps mecha designers.. One of the most critical workers is the director. To help understand the role involving film fans, you can consider of them since the administrators of a movie, yet instead of dealing having the stars, they package with the animators who make the characters within the movie. For me, mainly recently, it was a using up question and I ended right up doing some detailed research. For the sake connected with other anime lovers together with the same question, We thought about sharing our benefits. Sep 2019 book
This month’s read was ‘Flesh and Blood’ by Patricia Cornwell.
WARNING: potential spoilers
I picked this book up from the library, keen to get into my first forensic thriller novel.  Years ago when I wasted much more time in front of the TV, I was a huge sucker for shows like CSI, NCIS, Bones, Criminal Minds, and The Mentalist all throughout school, so I felt this was a safe and enjoyable genre.  The reviews on the back assured me that this writer was the absolute best at what she does and is well informed with current forensic pathology equipment and techniques, so I plunged in with no doubt that I would be entertained.
The first chapter set the scene of a brilliant and overqualified medical examiner with a finger in every military pie, married to a stoic, handsome, and overall perfect sounding FBI agent. I was quickly becoming disappointed by how idyllic  their life sounded, even though this was likely the intention of the author to create a stark contrast to the disasters revealed soon after. The main character even had time to reflect on their bedroom activities over breakfast and consider whether to head back to bed for some not-sleeping.
Nobody does this. Mornings are for harried people dragging themselves out of bed, rushing through or skipping breakfasts, plus or minus the ritual of making their face presentable to co-workers. I felt that alluding to sex so early on in the game/book was meant to lure a certain demographic in. I suddenly felt like I was supposed to be a 40 year old woman with kids who is trying to find spice in her life by way of books and might dabble in 50 Shades due to its popularity, and I don’t want to be that person.
Added to this nonsense was the main character’s niece, who was described as a beautiful, skinny, genius level hacker who does whatever the hell she wants, flies helicopters (a fact flaunted within the first chapter alone), drives expensive cars, and is impossibly rich. There was some attempt to balance this out with her personality flaws and social issues but you can’t just throw these extremes together and hope that the end result is somewhere within the vicinity of neutral.
I also found the chapter divisions went something like this:
Chapter 4
Chump A muttered scathingly about this week’s memo mandating Crocs in the workplace. Chump B offered, ‘At least I don’t have to think about what to wear now. I save so much time in the mornings!’
Chapter 5
‘And aren’t they just so comfortable? I’ll admit I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing them outside of work, although their new catalogue has some designs that can pass as ‘normal’ shoes.’
...and the entire book was disjointed in this fashion. It didn’t go so far as to split a sentence in two, but it definitely divided a thought process or a related sentence to the point that it felt like someone just said, ‘Ugh it’s been 50 pages, it’s probably time for a new chapter’.
This book was written like a movie. I could picture someone writing the storyboard and putting in a panel as they thought, ‘Cliffhanger goes ... here.’ I also realised a crucial error in my book selection when the antagonist’s name was finally revealed, and that was I had entered the world of Dr Whatever at book #20/23 (not the actual numbers) of the series. At first I thought it was an intentional move by the author not to spend 2 pages describing the background of every new character encountered to help with maintaining the flow of the story. In all likelihood, these pages detailing her policeman sidekick’s life history and all of her co-workers quirks had been scribbled in the very first book of the series. I had a quick scan of the synopses of the other books online, and found that our protagonist had an affair with her now-husband. Juicy and not-so-perfect. It even made Dr Scandalous a little more likeable, up until the point that she compared herself to a co-worker currently engaged not-so-subtly in an affair, giving herself a pat on the back for being discrete about her own affair.
Another thing that crime shows will do to me is increase my jumpiness and illogical thoughts x 100. I was up to a relatively action packed and suspenseful part of the book the protagonist and her partner approached a house as the next step in their investigation, but things were ‘off’. Front door was slightly ajar, a vehicle belonging to another officer was present but the officer himself was nowhere in sight and unable to be contacted. I was getting the tinglies, when...
BAM!!! My hoosband (henceforth referred to as DH) bursts through our front door and I hit the roof with a heartrate of 200bpm. When I was much younger, this (illogical) fear extended to unwillingness to go to the bathroom or into the kitchen where it was dark. Were there lights? Sure. But I would have go into the semi-dark area first to switch it on. Even then the silence would be eerie and I’d hightail it outta there ASAP.
In summary, I was glad I had the experience of reading a novel of this genre so that I could learn not to do it again anytime soon. Sometimes you just need to eat enough deliciously oily chips to make yourself feel sick so that you won’t do it again for a LONG time. I guess TV shows and novels like this feel they have to fill a drama quota to avoid becoming a forensic pathology documentary and remain appealing to the masses, but over many years I’ve increasingly found that I can do without this. This probably explains why all the aforementioned TV shows started to wear on me, and why this book didn’t really hit the spot either. Onto the next book! Huzzah.
