Louis Tomlinson performs shirtless after fans completely destroy his tank top during wild New York concert

Louis Tomlinson fans got up close and personal with the One Direction star as he performed in New York this weekend – resulting in his actual clothes being torn to shreds.

As the Kill My Mind hitmaker, 31, took to the stage at Forest Hills Stadium with his Faith in the Future tour, understandably, energy was high.

Louis delighted the thousands-strong crowd with hits from his first and second albums, as well as some 1D tunes and even a Catfish And The Bottleman cover.

During hit song Silver Tongues, the award-winning star takes a moment to jump off stage and head right up to the barricade, basking in the screams and cheers from the audience.

Louis has said previously it’s his favourite moment of every gig, as he truly gets to feel the love from his fans – and his fans in the Big Apple did not hold back.

They got so excited by being that close to their idol, their instant reaction was to, erm, rip his shirt…

Yep, Louis’s black tank top was torn apart, forcing him to perform the rest of the show shirtless after chucking the remains of his top into the pit.

We wonder if that’s up on eBay yet…

Videos of the moment have, of course, been shared thousands of times, as concertgoers captured the moment Louis got absolutely mauled.

Reacting to the raucous point in the show, one fan tweeted: ‘I swear I am not jealous’.

‘He is THE rock star’, declared another.

‘Whoever caught the shirt, I hope you held on to it tight cuz there be a lot of feral fans wanting that lol. good luck getting out of there’, another said.

Although, not everyone was so thrilled about the behaviour from fans, as some Twitter users described it as ’embarrassing’ and ‘animalistic’.

Following the show, Louis remained in high spirits, taking to social media to thank his fans as the US leg of his tour draws to a close.

‘Can’t believe it’s the last show of this leg tomorrow. This tour has flown by!’, he began.

‘Tonight was incredible again. Don’t want this tour to end!!!’

Now, this wasn’t the first time fans went wild with questionable behaviour at one of Louis’s shows.

Recently, someone lobbed a bracelet at him while he performed, with Louis joining the club of singers who’ve been hit by flying objects.

Seemingly unimpressed, Louis flipped the middle finger at the culprit, although he carried on with the show in his typical cheeky manner.

The likes of Bebe Rexha, Ava Max, and Kelsea Ballerini have all had scary ordeals on stage so far this year, whether it’s getting hit by a phone to the eye or being slapped by an intruder.

JuAli Comic Idea [6-23-2023]

Intro

I showed this JuAli idea to my friends before, I’m glad they liked it hehe. I originally wrote this back in November!

I revamped a JuAli idea I had. Judar and Alibaba kiss with banter

I used some lines from Vol. 27 - Ch. 266, and the Vol. 28 - Ch. 278 omake with Judar and haniwa (clay doll) Alibaba. The chapters where he was a sausage shaped haniwa (OoO)

I usually write my ideas down in script dialogue format as potential comic ideas for the future. Also cuz I figured that bolding the names would make things easier to read

I'm busy so Idk when I'll sketch this all out and redraw it properly, but this one tweet generated some ideas in my head that I showed to Cinna and Raisu. Back in November, I roughly wrote the gist of it down, but I felt like adding to it cuz it’s one of my personal faves. It's just kissing but it's kinda suggestive/implicit so y'know.

A little comic idea I had in my head. I showed it to my friends and they really enjoyed it, I'm glad! It's one of my faves too tbh. I first wrote this in November, but I decided to make edits to it. I like writing banter!!!

I actually did some old rough doodles before that was kinda based off this idea! And I totally need to redraw these, but I really like how I drew Judar's expressions. I like practicing sketching expressions hehe

Some rambles

*Note: Sometimes I just write the dialogue only because I have a good visual imagination, so the dialogue itself is already a good outline to use for potential comic ideas in the future, but I thought it’d be fun to add to it. I write dialogue scripts a lot (whenever the inspiration hits and I’m not doing art).

I’m a visual person, so I mainly do art (and comic idea dialogue scripts as outlines for potential art ideas). A lot of times, when I get ideas, I visualize scenes in my head, so my ideas are written in script dialogue format. 

I like writing ideas down so that I don't forget and so that I can still imagine and draw them in the future. I have a good visual imagination, so even if I just write the dialogue, I can imagine what the scene conveys pretty easily. 

I was wondering if I should just have short descriptions on a line on its own, just like a play/movie script would, but it’s actually easier for me to read when the name is bolded beside it, so then I know which actions/descriptions are assigned to which character, y’know.

I tend to have certain quirks when writing dialogue scripts

I put descriptions in brackets () beside the name. I decided to make them italics though to differentiate them more, cuz I also use brackets () for character thoughts. 

It’s not in this one, but I’ll put a (...) on a line on its own to mark line breaks for scene transitions (or to mark that the scene is still a WIP and I need to add to it)

I’ll put any notes with (*) asterisks. 

I bold names so it’s easier to read

Whenever I get hit with sudden blorbo thoughts or inspiration to write ideas, I write them in Notepad or Google Docs, but I also do a lot of reactions and discussions with mutuals/friends. Someone posts something they want to talk about in the chat (ie. animanga/game reactions, AU and art ideas, etc.) and others join in and talk about it if they have time.

A lot of times, I tend to think back on my discussions with friends a lot, because I think they're inspiring and their thoughts help give a lot of insight.

Everyone has so much insightful things to say, so I wanna quote my discussions with my friends here! So some rambles will be in discussion/chat format because I don’t feel like reformatting the post

Me: I actually originally wrote Judar's last line as "Show me the kind of spark that charmed Hakuryuu so much". Because Judar makes an observation in Ch. 266 that Hakuryuu is charmed by Alibaba in the fan-TL :) 

But I don't tend to reference other ships in my ship stuff since I usually focus on ships solo. Like in my AU stuff, I tend to focus on just the ship/characters itself.

Like I would rather deal with my multiships in their own separate AUs, since it’s easier for me to work with. Most of the time I just prefer to have my AUs focus on just the ship itself (and occasionally other charas.) 

I do love AliHaku though. But I liked that line and it was good, so I still tried to include it though. NGNGNNG. Without mentioning any names, cuz let’s keep this JuAli focused

Friend: OOOH I SEE.... Valid as heck It's a good one

Me: I posted this on main, but I might as well post it again here ^^ For JuAli, I feel like at first, Judar hates Alibaba with so much love. And Judar would just constantly be like "I really don't get this guy at all" and "I don't understand what he's thinking at all!"

I feel like in the early stages of them catching feelies, they’d both be really awkward around each other and constantly headbutt each other…  

Judar is verbally harsh (violently tsun) and demands around verbally a LOT, like a needy cat that wants attention and affection. The tsundere catboy bad boy... And I feel like at first, they’d both be really awkward around each other and fluster each other. I think they'd always be pretty competitive with each other (in a playful, fun way) but they'd warm up to each other over time.

I'm busy so Idk when I'll sketch this all out but it was based off this idea I had in my head.

Like with JuAli, I think their games are mostly light-hearted and fun, and enticing and passionate.

Like it emphasizes playful competitiveness, a heavy focus on drawing things out, wanting to enjoy themselves for as long as they can and do their best to make every intimate occasion they have together worth the wait. Everything about their intimacy is energetic and passionate, (just like them!)

Though it's also fun to imagine a bit more rough aggressiveness, rough kisses and biting. 

When I imagine the early stages of their relationship/pining I think they'll butt heads more often and it'll be more aggressive, then it'll progress to something very loving and more on the same wave length.

Daily/Hourly accounts

Before the Twitter changes, folks would have daily/hourly accounts dedicated their fave medias, books, poems, etc. They’d put their fave quotes in (or animanga/game screencaps of their faves), have them be posted on intervals. People did it just cuz they wanna assign quotes to their fave charas/ships or have accounts dedicated to them

But then Muskrat’s stankass changes happened... I was thinking it would’ve been cute to have a JuAli daily account post screencaps of either of them from the manga tbh

I do think Asia will get your announcements in 2023 based on a few different things I’ve seen. Not sure about Africa. I’m not in Asia, but have friends in several different countries throughout Asia and honestly in some of them, up unlit literally a month or two ago, COVID restrictions were still super tight. I don’t know the ins and outs of it, but there we’re probably legalities (based on COVID) that have kept them from scheduling in Asia so far. And there is a cost effectiveness issue…like if they could tour a few stops in some countries, but couldn’t tour a majority of the stops they would tour on a tour in Asia, the cost of it all outweighs things. (Yes, Harry makes a lot of money on tour, but he also has a massive crew that he has to make sure gets paid, and that factors in here and with scheduling). Anyways…all that tod at, I do feel like we’ll get an announcement for Asia at some point soon. There were tweets circulating from someone who works for either Columbia or some other major entity associated with Harry hinting at more in the new year

I mentioned this before but it’s so interesting that Judar picks up on the fact and recognizes that Hakuryuu is charmed by Alibaba but just can't understand why...

And they're forced to learn to understand each other. And JuAli spend 2 years together :) Hehehehe

It reminds me that my friend Jaqui mentioned before that because Alibaba is so different and the complete opposite of him, it makes sense he doesn’t understand it, but it only shows that he’s curious and that deep inside he wants to know

I love the composition of the 2nd page so much like how AliHaku has the inked action lines on the ground (Shadows? Beams?) pointing towards each other and connecting each other, and Judar-Aladdin too (the ones who mainly fight and oppose each other in the narrative)

Even the composition is interesting because the action lines surrounding Alibaba emphasize how he’s radiant just like the sun (Ooogh my son... My sun...) and he’s clearly the focal point of this page like when your eyes follow the page’s composition flow, it leads to Alibaba. Because of the size of the action lines and how they emphasize his radiance and bright personality.

But there are also action lines pointing towards and connecting JuAli and Hakuryuu-Aladdin, the true opposites, as Lumen described. Additions:  One thing I noticed is that the black action lines underneath Hakuryuu and Judar are darker.

And it does remind me of their narrative roles in the story as black rukh users who've fallen into depravity

Like it could be because of how those duos are the main ones who are put against each other in the narrative (have the most plot significance)

Could also be because Alibaba radiates such a bright light that he casts a giant shadows over the moons (Hakuryuu and Judar). 

Because the lines that connects Alibaba and Hakuryuu, and Aladdin and Judar, are darker on the end where Hakuryuu and Judar are standing

The two King Vessels and the two Magis. Light vs. Dark.

Or I’m looking too deep into it. Regardless of whether it’s true or not, it’s interesting to think about though

My friends and I have talked about JuAli and AliHaku being the Sun/Moon/Eclipse, and I should make that a separate post but for now:  

“A Lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun casts Earth's shadow onto the Moon”

And considering Judar is themed with both the black sun and the moon, he definitely also seems eclipse themed too because of this.

Fan-TLs and Official TLs: 

Though I should show Viz’s official TL as well. They tone down the "What about Alibaba charmed Hakuryuu?" line on the 1st page, but they keep it on the 2nd page thankfully.

Also, it’s interesting to read both the EN fan-TL by Sense Scans and the official EN TL by Viz, they both have their merits and downsides, though I’m overall pleasantly surprised with the both of them. They’re both interesting. I definitely have some observations to say about the two, as someone currently studying JP. Perhaps sometime soon!

Lumen mentioned it to me before but they said this, "Official TLs are definitely better in terms of phrasing but most of the ones I read are actually outright wrong about the meanings of some lines sometimes, while the fan-TLs tend to always be more accurate and I."

And yeah I agree with this, like official TLs are done by professional translators and typesetters, so they phrase things better in more natural sounding English and the typesetting is much better. Also the pages are much cleaner (obviously) cuz localization companies will have access to the original pages in digital form.

However, I'm used to reading fan-TLs for most of the series I'm into (though I've also been checking out official TLs for series that are more recent, including Magi) because I'm very curious to see the art in HD and an alt TL. 

Also, since fan-TLs are done by, well, hobbyist fans, I'll go easy with fans having to figure out how to translate the names/terms and typesetting. And like with many fan-TLs back from the 2000s - 2010s, Magi's fan-TL was scanned directly from the magazines when they released, which explains why the screentones, etc., are off and why it’s harder to see certain art details 

Fan-TLs are typically more literal, which is also interesting. Personally I prefer fan-TLs most of the time because they have better lines/wording and prose. And because they’re more accurate in terms of line meanings. Having more accurate lines and knowing what the text originally intended matters to me. I wanna know how the nuances of the text was carried over and originally intended to be read.

Also, when I read JP, my head goes through a process of reading the line -> getting a literal TL in my head -> then changing it to more natural English

But I definitely wanted to check out Viz’s official TL cuz it’s also interesting to read.

Anyways, Ohtaka your brain is massive. Magi was a weekly shounen and I literally can’t fathom having to churn out something of this level of art and writing quality almost every week.

It’s insane to me because mangaka deadlines, especially for weekly series, are SO tight. She had to draft story ideas and come up with brilliant dialogue, written with very specific intentions to show characterization (which fits the charas so well), and draft the storyboards and make such gorgeous art compositions with the detailed inking and genuinely superb, consistent storytelling writing which also connects back to the series’ main themes, like... I’m so impressed
