The Boys rode through the pouring rain across the Bridge over to Koh Sahpa. And the horses stopped by a stilt house. Jack: "Are we going to stay here? Woah! When I showed Ji Ho the beach after he arrived we saw a stilt house and we talked about how awesome they are and we asked Arturo if we can buy a lot here to build one..." Vlad: "Arturo told us. Kiyoshi, Jeb and I built it to make it up to you. It's not finished yet. You were only supposed to see it later. " (So that was their secret project!) So Kiyoshi built this house. For Jack. (Even Lunatic is stunned ^w^)

So Jeb built this house. For Saiwa. Sai had put all his hopes in that circuit board because he has no idea how he is supposed to look Jeb in the eyes again after they 'agreed' that Sai should give in to a fake relationship with Kiyoshi to bring him back from the tree. Because they thought Kiyoshi is Saiwa's fated mate. But he wasn't. Saiwa stared into nowhere... Before Sai could follow these thoughts further he got distracted by the noise of the singing birds. Why are they so loud? Bird... (They really are so loud here ö.Ö') He has no idea how to go on.

Vlad: "Look after them and try to finish the rest." (Yeah I know. Who would trust crazy Jack with looking after anyone? Usually he is the one they need to look after and care for. But Vlad trusts him. Because he knows the Jack behind his disorders and antics (and the ones who know adult Jack from our other stories know it too :3) And he knows that he can rely on him when it comes to it.) Jack: "You're leaving? What about the Bond?" Vlad: "Jeb and Kiyoshi need me. They are broken too. I will feel it when it's due to charge the Bond."

Jack: "When you feel it Ji Ho already suffers. He has the deeper connection to the Bond. Don't let him beg for it. The intervals are always the same when you don't use it's magic. Just come here in time and do it." Vlad: "Uhm. Ok." Vlad and his foolish pride and reluctance. Luci had been bolder... And Ji Ho often said that he doesn't mind physical intimacy with Vlad.

Then it was time for Vlad to leave - to look after Jeb and Kiyoshi... He is hesitating.

And Jack took Saiwa inside to give them time to get their stuff together. Oh my, after all they already did with each other they still behave like this...

Vlad: "The Bond. I will be back before..." Ji Ho: "Ok."

They held on to each other a bit longer than usual. Maybe the Bond hates it to see them apart or maybe they will miss each other. Who knows?

Vlad left and Ji Ho went inside. Ji Ho: "Oh. He's already sleeping. I hope he changes his mind about Tiny Can. I could really need some help from a therapist. Even if it's only an AI." Jack: "An AI is even better! He knows everything and is always up to date with the latest research and discoveries! He must have scanned countless articles, diagnoses, therapy approaches, research papers... I'm so ready to try it and get stuff fixed in my furry brain."

They sighed and turned around to take in the view. And just across the river there was the stilt house they had admired a few weeks ago. Just the one Kiyoshi, Vlad and Jeb built is so much more beautiful. Because they built it with love 💞

Before I can take fancy we-perfectly-ride-in-a-group screenshots of them I get a lot of this ^^' I have no idea why these horses are always so tired... Then they dismount and the horses sleep omg. In the middle of the day. I lived in the countryside for so long but I never saw a horse sleep during the day -.-

When Jack and Saiwa crossed the bridge, Lunatic became aware of where they were and bucked.

Jack: "Lunatic! What's wrong?"

Tyalindo: 'Omg! Was it here where you have been attacked by the giant rat and the werewolf?' Lunatic: 'Yes!'

Jack: "Don't worry Lunatic. We are here. We will protect you. Look, this Lady here was able to pass unscathed!" Lady: ö.Ö'

Jack: "OMG! This is Rory Oaklow! And we are in their territory! She will make mincemeat out of us!" Saiwa hisses.

Lunatic: 'She comes directly towards us!'

Tyalindo: 'Leave Jack alone!'

But Rory walked right past them and - vanished? And then Lou Howell approached and vanished too. Right in front of their very eyes.

Tyalindo: 'What is going on here?' Jack: "I don't know. We had this happen behind the Tavern at Mount Komorebi too. This is so disturbing!"

They ran back to the safe Bunker. Jack: "Lunatic! Wait for us!"

Lunatic: 'Quick! Close the gate!'

Little Goat: 'What happened?' Lunatic: 'Werewolves attacked us! And then they vanished into nowhere!' Little Goat: 'But it is good they vanished, isn't it?' Lunatic: 'No! It is scary! When they can disappear into nowhere - they can appear out of nowhere!' Little Goat: 'OMG! Then it makes no sense to close the gate! They can appear anywhere!' Lunatic: 'OMG!'

Ji Ho: "How could you destroy my relationship with Vlad, huh?" Kiyoshi: "It always takes two, Ji Ho."

Ji Ho: "So this is your excuse? What kind of a stud are you?" Vlad: "Don't talk to him like this! He's right! You had been so cold towards me!" Ji Ho: "And therefore you sought the warmth of Kiyoshi and Jeb? " Kiyoshi: "What???"

Ji Ho turns away sadly. It seems he eventually lost Vlad. And it seems it's even his own fault...

Kiyoshi needs clarification from Ji Ho: "Vlad ... and Jeb? How could they do this to me? I'd been only away for an hour! Oh my heart is broken! Won't you come a little closer and comfort me, hm?..." Ji Ho steps back: "What - what are you doing? This is too close!"

Kiyoshi steps closer: "Shhh... No one understands me better than you do... do you? Hm?" Ji Ho: "Oh! But...! Oohhh..." Vlad: ! Jack: -.-

The Boys' last night in Chestnut Ridge. They ride over to the Country Bunker to meet Martha. Jack and Ji Ho are falling behind. Both lost in thought. Jack didn't even complain about riding his crazy horse. Saiwa: "Hurry up you two!"

Martha: "So you finally can return home!" Saiwa: "Ah uhm - we are staying with friends. We don't have a home yet." Martha: "Oh Boys..."

Kiyoshi is so sad he has to leave Jack. Their time together was too short. And it's breaking Kiyoshi's heart that Jack doesn't feel their special connection. It would make it so much easier for them to endure their absence from each other if Jack had a little faith in their love.

Kiyoshi: "Jeb, I left a present for you and Saiwa. Make sure you use it well." Jeb: "Thank you my friend! We will. What is it?" Kiyoshi: "Ask Saiwa."

The neighbors asked them to play a last song before they leave. They even removed the fence ^^' Jack joined Ji Ho and Jeb with his violin. Despite his many mental problems, Jack is very talented in arts and music.

Do the locals wear bear costumes to show their solidarity for the creatures? How sweet 💞 The Boys slowly change the view people have on creatures.

Ji Ho sang: 'Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong West Virginia, mounty mamma - Take me home, country roads'.

Will the Boys ever call a place their home? Or will they be on the road forever? Running from the Council.

And when Ji Ho sang the verse 'All my memories gathered 'round her Miner's lady stranger to blue water Dark and dusty, painted on the sky Misty taste of moonshine, teardrops in my eye'

Kiyoshi was close to tears and left. He can't say a proper goodbye to Jack anyway and his heart is too heavy to face the others.

And so Kiyoshi left Chestnut Ridge to return to his obligations within the Council - and the Resistance. Who knows when they can meet again.

But not alone. Little Goat, Kiri and Kiri's sheep Kumo accompany him.

Soon after Kiyoshi, Ji Ho left.

He's heading for Sulani - to eventually find Guidry and send his dead brother to the other side.

And then Vlad stumbled and fell.

Jack: "OMG Vlad!" Vlad is blind again. The punishment for trying to murder the bond. (TMI Vlad was blind when he returned from hell after his death.)

Jack is back from his trip to San Myshuno. And still deep in thougts. Sure he feels attracted to Jeb. He really is a fine stud. Strong, big. His firm, shiny coat covering his strong muscles ... and Jack too enjoyed feeling Jeb's muzzle. It was his very first kiss!

Saiwa tore him from his thoughts. 'You reek of him! What did he do to you? Did he... ?'

'Omg! You are still a foal! How dare he! I'm going to kill him!' Jack: 'No! Nothing happened! And I'm not a foal anymore! I'm a grown stallion!' Saiwa sighs: 'Your outer appearance - but not on the inside. Let's go back to the stable.'

Jack: 'Do you still want him?' Saiwa: 'No. And you should keep your distance to him too. You saw what he did to me. To them, we are a mere prey. Kiyoshi, Vlad and Jeb are predators. Always on the hunt. You will stick right by my side. I won't let them go near you and Ji Ho.'

But Jack got distracted. He was thinking of Jeb - again... It's so confusing. Why would he kiss him and then run away? But maybe he didn't run away? Maybe he was just chasing after his next bait? Oh... Saiwa: 'Omg Jack! Come here!'

Saiwa sighs: 'What shall we do with him?...' Little Goat: 'I don't know...'

Jack eventually followed Saiwa to the safe stable.

But why does it feel like a prison to him?

Eventually he went inside - he is hungry... Saiwa: 'You will see. It is for the best. I won't let him hurt you like he did hurt me.' But - is it?

A little later. Jeb to Saiwa: 'Look! Ji Ho and Vlad settled their dispute! We can do this too! Don't be so cold.' Saiwa: 'What are you talking about? Vlad runs just past him! Leave me alone - I'm done with you!'

The Boys took the first ferry to Sulani.

They mounted their horses and started their search for Ji Ho. Jack: "I don't know if I can forgive Vlad if something happened to Ji Ho." Saiwa: "Same."

Jeb: "Can you sense through the bond where Ji Ho is? Like you did at Mount Komorebi?" Vlad: "I can feel the Bond no more..."

And then Saiwa and Jack found Yang Mal. Alone.

And a little later Jeb found Ji Ho. Finally. He'd been lying there the whole night.

Jeb: "Ji Ho! Gods, Ji Ho." Jack: "Is he ok?" Jeb: "He's so cold!"

But a bear hug from Jeb brought back the live in Ji Ho. Saiwa, close to tears: "Gods, Ji Ho..."

Ji Ho told them what happened. Saiwa: "But why would your grandfather hand you over to the Council? And why did he held Guidry captured? And how even? Guidry is a ghost, he could have just left?" Jeb: "Let's find this 'MRI' the alien talked about. She might have some answers."

Ji Ho: "Ok. I feel better now. Let's go. Uhm ... What happened to him? Why is he blind again?" Jeb: "Communication Issues. We'll talk about this later."

Since Ji Ho had been able to fix Vlad's blindness before, they were looking for him. But he was nowhere to be found and didn't answer his phone. Saiwa has a hunch: "What happened yesterday? I should have known making the farm visible couldn't have been solved this easily. Why are you blind, Vlad?"

They went back to the farm to see if Ji Ho is there.

Jack is already running inside. Saiwa: "Vlad wait, Jeb is going to help you to dismount."

Vlad and his foolish pride...

Jeb: "I'm here, Vlad."

Vlad: "We need to leave immediately! Ji Ho went to Sulani! Alone!" Saiwa: "Did Vlad fall on his head?"

Jeb: "I'm sorry, he was too fast. But Vlad, Ji Ho would never set a foot at Sulani again. His life there was a nightmare. Let's get you patched up and then we try to find Ji Ho." Vlad: "NO! I've seen his dead brother, with the ghost and the shell! The shell resembles Sulani and the ghost Guidry, who also vanished at Sulani!"

Saiwa: "Vlad, that's nonsense. If he wanted to save his brother and Guidry, he would have told us and we would have helped him." Vlad: "He thought he is a nuisance and a danger to us." Saiwa: "Why would he think that? What happened that night?"

Vlad: "I wanted Ji Ho to be free to choose whom he loves and spare him from this 'save the world with making love' madness! So I wanted to cut our bond. I did this for you too. We can't be on the run forever. Each one of you deserves a life without this madness. Ji Ho must have had the same thoughts. You are all only in danger because of us and that damn bond."

Saiwa: "Do you really think that? What life would that be under the Council? Yes, we all want a better life - but this won't be possible without fighting for it! And that's why we are doing this!"

Saiwa: "So what happened?" Vlad sighs: "I remembered the prophecy and Morgan's offer and I called her to bond with her and finally end this. She must have told Ji Ho about my intentions." Saiwa started to cry: "I can't believe you did this. Why is no one ever talking to us before he does something stupid? But you didn't, right? Otherwise you couldn't have made the farm visible again, right? Tell me you didn't bond with Morgan!"

Vlad: "I couldn't. And she left." Saiwa: "Let me guess. Ji Ho does still think you did, right? Because you don't talk, right? Gods - I can't believe I shipped you!"

Saiwa squared his shoulders: "Get in the car. We're heading for Sulani." Vlad is Jack's best friend. But Jack is not sure if he can forgive him this. But Saiwa will kill Vlad anyway after they found Ji Ho, so...

And this is how the Boys, Adriano, the goats and the horses left Chestnut Ridge.

We moved all the horses to Rider's Glen Jeb's horse Valerian immediately ran to the prairie grass to feast ^^' The others started to run around happily.

Until Diablo and Kiri began to display affections (= Vlad and Kiyoshi's horses) and Yang Mal (Ji Ho's horse) didn't like it - at all!

Saiwa and Little Goat stepped into otherworld's Sixam! It looks just like in Saiwa's computer games which he loves so much. But Little Goat is on guard.

They wandered around a bit. It's so amazing. Saiwa could breathe deeply and freely for the first time after all those crazy months.

'I was feeling part of the scenery, I walked right out of the machinery My heart going "Boom-boom-boom" "Hey, " he said "Grab your things, I've come to take you home" Hey, back home'

And there is Noxee! (She left Jack with Greg to be with Saiwa ^^') Saiwa: "Oh Noxee! Thank you for bringing me here. It's wonderful." Noxee: "Only the best for my little pumpkin!"

Saiwa didn't have to ponder long about what to leave behind: "I will let my body go. All the worries and insecurities. And all the shame. I will accept and show me as I am." Noxee: "Like our queen Gloria sang: And it's one life, and there's not return or no deposit. One life, so make sure you like what's in your closet."

Saiwa: "All thanks to Jeb. He loves me either way. Therefore I will also let my expectations go on how our relationship should be. If he doesn't want to take it any further, I won't push him anymore and do it his way." Noxee: "That's my pumpkin! You're so lucky you have found him. And you two will find your way, I'm sure. Now come - I'll show you the horse!"

Saiwa: "What is he doing?" Noxee: "Playing! He's a player, just like you haha. That's also his name. Tyalindo (= elvish for 'player'). He's a Barb."

Saiwa: "He's fantastic!"

Time to make the deal before the portal overgrows on the other side.

And so Saiwa and Little Goat (and Tyalindo) left the otherworld again.
