I've thought for a while that the Gondorians would love mosaics given the Roman inspiration, so it's great to have that confirmed by Tolkien!

One thing I like about Rust, that I aggressively wish would spread to all other languages, is the clear distinction between very specific reference documentation and prosaic tutorials/guides.

🚨New design alert! 🚨 🇺🇸 usa v20.2.5 🇺🇸
This is the "usa v20.2.5" (pronounced "usa 2025") variation of the parallel lines algorithmic art project. The color palette of this design was inspired by the flag of the United States of America. The name of this design is partially inspired by the semantic versioning scheme commonly used in software development.
This post features art created by running @azurepolarbear's original “parallel lines” code art algorithm. Each run of the code produces a random visual output. A random number of vertical lines are created; lines start from the top of the screen and have a random color, length, and thickness. Made with TypeScript and p5.js. Copyright (C) 2024-2025 brittni and the polar bear LLC.
This product is manufactured with print-on-demand through Printify.

I finally had some free time due to ✨carnival✨ and deployed the Miss Fisher visualization site that I had only posted screenshots of so you guys can play around with them. I really enjoy seeing them in motion and I hope that you do too! 😊
Some tips of how to use the site:
On the left, select the category of visualizations that you would like to see (the home page is pretty useless as of now hehe)
The legend of each visualization also serves as a filter, so if you click on the box that shows the color of each item you can deselect it from the visualization so that it's easier to see other information inside the graph.
Please open on desktop for a better experience!
There are some new visualizations there that I never posted before, so please check it out! I would love your feedback!

Honestly if @typescript-official had enums with values inside like rust does I might just fall in love

Does anyone with JS experience know how to resolve a bare identifier error? I have some JS that's being built from TS but I have no idea how to get it running since every time I try to run the code it throws the aforementioned error

im asking here bc i feel like people here maybe have more experience with this. does anyone know where i could set up a personal blog? i considered tumblr but id like this to be more of a personal experiment rather than tied to a social media site. i dont want to have to pay for a custom domain and dont have enough frontend experience to build something from scratch though,, ;__;
no worries if not, just wanted to ask if anyone has done this! <3
