🚨New design alert! 🚨 🇺🇸 usa v20.2.5 🇺🇸
This is the "usa v20.2.5" (pronounced "usa 2025") variation of the parallel lines algorithmic art project. The color palette of this design was inspired by the flag of the United States of America. The name of this design is partially inspired by the semantic versioning scheme commonly used in software development.
This post features art created by running @azurepolarbear's original “parallel lines” code art algorithm. Each run of the code produces a random visual output. A random number of vertical lines are created; lines start from the top of the screen and have a random color, length, and thickness. Made with TypeScript and p5.js. Copyright (C) 2024-2025 brittni and the polar bear LLC.
This product is manufactured with print-on-demand through Printify.

Introduction to Screensavers!
An hour long workshop about why screensavers are awesome! You make one yourself by the end of it, with no prior experience necessary!
I think screensavers are a really cool and unique format to design for and use for your projects. And the best part is there isn't really any catch to them! If you can make a game or generative art or write a shader or make any kind of computer media - you can make it a screensaver! I hope you make a screensaver after watching it :)
Me gushing about my special interests basically :3

(trying to get my momentum back by drawing prompts and backlogged asks, the prompts for this one were: computer, health and well-being, and an olive/cream/brown color scheme)
this one gave me an idea about an advanced super computer built at a university by students, and he falls in love with the one put in charge of testing his "human interaction and caretaking" protocol. they're a bit apprehensive, obviously.
if the computer can learn to see humans as "good," and meant to be cared for," hopefully he won't go against his programming and try to exterminate them (like many of the university's prototypes). however, he seems to only care for one human in particular...

Creative Computing Benchmark from 1984 showing computational speed of hundreds of classic computers! #history #vintagecomputers #benchmarks #creativecomputing #basic
Page 6 of the March 1984 issue of legendary publication, Creative Computing, revealed the then latest version of the Creative Computing Benchmark. This benchmark was a short test of computational speed and accuracy and the random number generator in the BASIC programming language for hundreds of platforms.
