During the Typhoon Paeng, me and my family experienced heavy rain and strong wind and after 1 to 2 days the flood water is still inside our house
It still has water and our things are floating and after the Flood goes away, we put our thing Outside the house to let it dry under the sun heat
The three things i learn is always be ready pack some be emergency kit for the disaster that may happen anytime. and second always be ready, don't panic, lastly don't hesitate to go to evacuation area as needed.
After the Typhoon Paeng I can say that they are the same to Typhoon Yolanda It has heavy rain and also strong wind and also their is some people who died during the Typhoon Paeng and Typhoon Yolanda.

Homes, Tacloban city, Philippines, 2014. I shot these images 9 months after the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan which destroyed the city and killed an estimated 15,000 people. I was struck by how quickly people had to rebuild and try return to normal. Part of this process was them rebuilding their homes where loved ones and friends had perished, as life had to carry on. The images show the small gaps between the homes out to the sea. “Tindog Tacloban !” . . #tacloban #philippines #typhoonhaiyan #typhoonyolanda #home #5years #instituteartist #ifnotusthenwho (at Tacloban City)

A TYPHOON TO REMEMBER: YOLANDA
“After every storm. there comes clear open skies.”. Our community doesn’t hit by a typhoon often. If we were hit by a typhoon, the damages were not as bad as other places. River in our barangay takes years to overflow. I can say that our barangay is resilient and far from every risk other barangay usually have.
I was only a child the last time our barangay got flooded. It was typhoon Ondoy and I don’t really remember what happened because I was very young back then. I didn’t experience it first hand and to be honest, maybe I was one of the children who swims through the flood because that’s how children enjoy the rain back then. Fast forward, I was 10 years old that time and I can say that I am not as naive as the typhoon Ondoy happened. We have 3 floors in our house and the 3rd floor was actually not that established that time. Well, it can endure typhoon but not that Yolanda one. No one expect that the Yolanda would be that strong. The 3rd floor of our house which is composed of many iron roof as our wall was actually shaking. I was with my grandmother, we went to the 3rd floor of our house and hold the iron because it was swinging hard and if we didn’t hold it, it will fly away and might hurt anyone. It was raining cats and dogs, the water went in our house on the 2nd floor. I am personally is in panic that time. I didn’t experience that strong typhoon. So I don’t know what I’m gonna do that time. Good thing is both my parents and also my grandparents were there. We are all inside our house so we survived that typhoon together.
In life, there are things that we will experienced. Life has full of surprises, there will be storms that will come in our way. Maybe, it will be as strong as Yolanda, maybe it can be a mild typhoon. But as long as we have our family or anyone who we can call whenever we need help, we can survive any typhoon no matter the intensity is. After that typhoon, there are damages in our house but my grandfather and my father fixed it and they also make every fragile area of our house strong so that we are prepared when another typhoon comes.
That’s all for my journey on surving typhoon Yolanda! Hope you had a good time reading this! : )

A man outside his house. November 2013, a terrible typhoon called Haiyan struck Philippines with such brutal force that left so many dead and homeless. It is one of the strongest tropical typhoons ever recorded. The damage was absolutely horrific. Images of death and suffering were blasted through media channels. Families gone, children orphaned, villages, towns, and cities destroyed. The aftermath was a sad picture of a country crippled by nature's wrath. . Despite it’s Pokeshipping Day today, I can’t forget the fact that this is also the day when the Tyhpoon YOLANDA came in the PH. It wasn’t a good memory to be honest, it’ll be 4 years now. Such experience is something I hope will not happened not just in the Philippines but also to the countries around the world.

This place had been one of the places devastated by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda in 2013. It’s nearly four years since. Many buildings were left derelict and decaying. This resort is still rehabilitating. #Tacloban #Leyte #TyphoonHaiyan #TyphoonYolanda (at Leyte Park Resort Hotel)

BLOG FOR CALAMITIES
Social media played a significant part in mounting international responses. The internet available to most areas of the Philippines and smartphone access enabled citizens to send out myday calls and updates from various regions.
However, twitter and other tech companies like Google and Facebook, aren't just allowing themselves to be channels for communication in time of need, they're taking the initiative eager to display understanding that great social power, also comes great social responsibility.
-During typhoon Yolanda i was scared because of the current of the wind but im very thankful to god because he gave us the safetiness of both of my family.

Surge of Hope. A memorial and burial site for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda. The typhoon completely destroyed Tanauan along with many other towns around Leyte. Just to hear those stories of those who went through it really tore me up and doesn't forget what I've experienced also. But even though we experienced so much loss and tragedy, our town rebuilt itself with the help of many people from far and near. Since then, every town has adopted a new slogan for itself, and I think Tanauan’s slogan perfectly captured the spirit of its people, “Each New Day is a Better Day” 🇵🇭☀️ — . .#tanauan #tanauanleyte #leyte #philippines #surgeofhope #typhoonyolanda

November 8, 2013: Typhoon Haiyan, as a category 5 storm, known as Super Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded. On making landfall, Haiyan devastated portions of Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines. It laid waste to the Visayas group of islands, the country's central region and home to 17 million people. Haiyan was the most powerful storm in 2013 and one of the most powerful typhoons of all time. 💔 A heartbreaking memory to all filipinos and to everyone.. Let us offer prayers and light candles for our brothers and sisters who were affected in this disaster 5 years ago. #rememberyolanda #typhoonyolanda #typhoon #hurricane #hurricanehaiyan #haiyan #disaster #people #ph #philippines https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp4ionIg6sL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1lb9bgg5wb0fz
