Some snippets of dialogue while I work on the game. Currently coding the first in-game card game, so that’s certainly...fun. But it’s getting done, and I figured I’d share something while the VN itself isnt available past the demo.

Tell me, what inspired the fashion designs in Seven Players?

absolutely NOTHING i just bullshitted the outfits like i do in all my characters GKGJXDKNGJ i do know i try to match personality an outfit but other than that my hand get a vague idea and draws it lol

The only characters I think I really thought abt were Obi, Uchi and Joker. they all have outfits based on the suit they chose. Obi has a clubs hairpin, Uchi has spades on her dress, and Joker has. all the suits all over!

✨ Haniko's old design was a cop. In the reboot, I decided to make her a forensic pathologist. it doesnt change her role much, but makes her more interesting to me and less "oh shes a GOOD cop" bc fuck that KJFNGKFN

✨ she actually has the same name as Uchi, her daughter! her full name is "Uchino Haniko" and so is Uchi's. for obvious reasons they just call Uchi a shorter variation and Haniko is. Haniko. Also, for years i switched between "Hakino" and "Haniko", but it's officialy Haniko now. you still might see typos in places though where I messed up in the past -

SEVEN PLAYERS: 2017 VS 2018 

how time flies! Did you know it’s only been this long since I started this dumb project? We started in April 2017. See how far we’ve come!

I recently finished the latest batch of message sprites, and decided to compare them to the ffirst time I made a reference for each of these chars...So basically the first time I ever drew them at all. Merc is a special case, as I drew him prior to adding him to SP, but he still counts.

Gosh, I didn’t think I’d imrpoved all that much, but comparing these new images to the ones  Six months ago? oh man. Anyway! here’s the cast’s “A” set of poses, aka their default poses. As the game goes on, there’ll be different poses/experessions for the characters, but for now, there’s this.
