I’ve been seeing a lot of people joke / say that V1 canonically has a uterus and while I think that is objectively funny / interesting. Are we sure this isn’t blood from the metaphorical womb of Hell?

The text reads: “#INCLUDE ( blood, formal_blood ) FROM "d29tYg==“

Include blood *from* womb. Meaning that you’re gaining blood from the womb, periods are usually a flushing out of blood / reproductive stuff not gaining. I think it would be more interesting / make more sense if they gained blood from the womb of hell.

We also know that hell is alive (see: the canonical reason why doors open/close depending on enemy spawns, the “Forces from far beyond” from guttermans terminal entry, & hell’s eye everytime V1 dies).

Along with this: the symbolism of a womb is also used in the 7-2 poem, describing the guttermen feeling remorse for its source of blood: the person inside them. We know in hell that this still rings true, and the symbolism can be applied to hell in that hell is where the machines get their blood by killing demons made of hell, birthed form hell if you will. Therefore, gaining blood from the womb of hell as you are INSIDE hell.

This would also add to ultrakill’s themes of cannibalism and cycles, see: the 7-4 eulogy and general need to consume blood. You’re eating each other, your fellow machines, what remains of your creators. And depending on how canon you think the cybergrind is / each P rank attempt is (ESPECIALLY since we see hell’s eye flash for a moment before you die) then endlessly retrying until you get it right. The fire is gone, you’re chasing phantoms, you’re chasing your own tail, eating yourself until even the sparks burn away.

And yeah, I know that in the death screen, V1’s systems refer to itself in fleshy terms like organs and limbic systems

Which is why I’m not ruling out this could be V1’s uterus entirely since we do see its systems in that fleshy context, but still I think it would make more sense for the uterus to be METAPHORICALLY hell itself

In the newest update for ULTRAKILL, there is now a 1/51% chance for a masculine Mindflayer variant to spawn, which matches up with the lore from its data entry.

i dont think the encore levels are actually happening. the idea that theyre maybe a simulation v1 is running as they die has been on my mind for a while but the new album art just gave way more fuel to that

since i need structure and positivity in my life ive decided to review 3 cool things that happen to me every month

top 3 shit: february 2025 (not in any particular order)

1: ultra_revamp came out

ive been waiting on this one for a while and it did NOT disappoint. insanely peak update. i p-ranked both encores on standard because they're awesome. everything looks beautiful now. new death screen has me fucked up (the way machine lore always does) 10/10 update

also the skulls look like skulls now?? AND they're colorblind accessible? hell yea

2: i played the mindwave demo

this released in january but this month is when i played it so

went into this game not knowing what to expect bc ive never played warioware but it's so good. im obsessed with abbie brain worms worms in my brain because of this

super compelling demo and im going to stay alive until this game releases

3: saw so surreal: behind the masks (2024)

so today my mom took me to a local canadian film fest and we saw this documentary about the influence of yup'ik and kwakwaka'wakw art on the surrealist movement and how the kwakwaka'wakw are currently trying to track down their stuff after the canadian govt stole a bunch of it in the 1920s.

it was really good and im still rattling it around in my brain

My favourite thing about the ULTRA_REVAMP update is that the update that was a year in development that overhauled a ton of levels and made them look incredible and added two new levels that are peak as fuck and added coffins full of lava and screaming sinners and made the inside of the corpse of king minos look appropriately wet and squishy and rotting and full of parasites and confirmed that V1 is just a creature in its death throes desperately trying to stay alive was announced on the publishers Twitter with a fantastically edited video set to "Robot Stop" by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

And the lead developer announced it on his YouTube channel by gathering a couple of the other devs into presumably a discord call and shaking little plush versions of themselves around in Gmod while he goes "it's a- it's a- its- Salad what's in the update" "um... new levels?"

Everyone is discussing the new death screen in the new ULTRAKILL update, but why is no one talking about the disturbing screams we hear from the flaming tombs the heretics are sealed in from the revamped 6-1: Cry from the Weeper level?
