i will say lucifer and virtue arent the only fallen angels. Its rare, but theres a few throughout time that have been felled for falling in love with humans (or maybe even other beings) while being angels. Especially if this passion led to nephilim (and angels really have to pull a lot of cosmic strings to make offspring with an organic being, so its sort of a marker for how serious it was). So they exist, just really rare, and then nephilim can go on to have families, so divinity can run (albeit in small amounts) in certain bloodlines.

It's not really a spoken rule; its more that angels, by the natural order of things, are turned to god the way ants are turned to their queen. It's more the breaking of that order than the fact its a relationship. Archangels, as ascended humans, are allowed to have relationships, but offspring is strictly forbidden except in exceptional circumstances, to avoid mortals getting ahold of too much divine power (which then would ultimately be used for both good and bad, violating the very nature of divinity). Its happened in the past, though, just also really rare. So if people want nephilim ocs or a nephil-twice-removed its on the table lore wise

Theres also been angels felled for other reasons, but as beings of passion, love going wayward tends to be more common than things like greed or gluttony (And by pulling cosmic strings i mean they literally manipulate the fabric of the universe. Not supposed to do that) Its also more common among lesser angels, but thats not to say a seraph falling in love is impossible. You just really gotta be a keeper. Offspring with high ranking angels can suffer health complications the same way virtue's mortal form is barely holding itself together when she taps into any kind of divine power. It can be difficult for the flesh to contain the spirit The creation process also depends. If the mortal question can carry a child and is willing to, it'll be an almost-immaculate conception (because its an angel and not God, its not entirely "immaculate" the way christ's conception was). If the mortal party cant or is unwilling to carry the child the angel may retreat for some time to weave the child together from light and angel egg silk to become flesh. This process is much longer and puts the couple at a higher risk of discovery (because the angel lessens participation in Angel Activities to make time to weave), but the resulting child tends to be better at handling any divine abilities… although they also tend to be very strange to other people in the same way a changeling might be. Their biology is for the most part human; the initial child woven from divine materials is the basis for a transubstantiation thing While demon/angel relationships are about as rare as human/angel ones, offspring is much much less common, as demon/angel offspring tend to be fundamentally unstable and cannot form due to inability to unify the the polarizing nature of the parental parties. Those that do make it tend to be incredibly strong, but somewhat shortlived, as their abilities and ambitions can send them down in a blaze of glory

Demon/human offspring and relationships are way more common because demons think its fun and an easy way to sow discord, but high ranking demons rarely participate because once again, handing someone in the mortal world access to that kind of power could lead to even their rules being broken. Also when youre Thee Devil you dont really see humans as worth your time Lust, surprisingly, has the least amount of offspring, but thats because they much prefer to create these forbidden relationships than be in them. They cant use their arrows on angels effective as of the last incident, but lesser demons and humans are free game. (The incident was not, in fact, a forbidden relationship. Lust shot a seraph, and when you shoot a computer running on Nuclear Passion with an arrow meant to increase passion, things can go… haywire) Like hooking your computer up to a reactor core. Blood relation to celestial beings has no outcome on where they go in the afterlife, also. Its about what they do with it. And being in a relationship with one doesnt either, although this is a contentious legal debate in the celestial sphere with a lot of failed regulation proposals and discussion of precedent The Great Bench Flipping Incident of 1345, one of few examples of angelic wrath in action and giving us the first known celestial translation of "YOURE OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN MIND" was one such debate. The angel involved was tried for a potential demotion, but the court agreed the other party was, in fact, "out of their goddamn mind" (Theophania was not the angel in question but she was present and on the bench of judges who passed the final verdict)

WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE? Don’t really have one in terms of Skyrim NPCs! I guess I did consider Teldryn after I first created her, but the fit wasn’t quite right.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING? Honestly? Anything. Angst, fluff, smut, unhealthy dynamics, comfort, hateships; whatever! My faves are ships that promote character development (especially when it’s mutual).

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE? As long as all characters are 21+, age gaps don’t matter to me at all.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING? I am, but only when it comes to the actual writing (I don’t ship based on faceclaims or lack thereof, and I don’t care whether a character is an OC or canon), and the quality of the character: I like complex, characters that have been fleshed-out with a strong presence, balanced strengths and flaws, and an established, consistent personality that I can bounce Ariveth off.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW? I think clothes-off is the cut-off, or intimate touching that becomes graphic in description. Depends on the thread!

WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH? Basically all the characters she’s currently romantically involved with lol. There are also a few characters I can see future potential with too, for sure.

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU? Not really, unless you want to plot a pre-existing thing! Chemistry is key, and that requires in-character interaction. If an interaction naturally ends up flirty/romantic in nature, I will almost certainly be keen to ship without having to be asked (though I do like talking about ships anyway, and about the characters, where we want them to go, how we want them to develop etc. tl;dr I’m a talker dkdflks).

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP? Anytime, since I love shipping in all forms: flirtationships, flings, ex-lovers, star-crossed lovers; everything. And luckily, Ariveth’s character lends itself well to all of that. I’m just a lot slower to ship serious, longterm stuff because I like to get into a thread or two to test the dynamic first.

ARE YOU MULTISHIP? Sort of! I plan to have a single ship for Ariveth’s canon storyline, but I’ll consider multishipping in AUs.

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU? Ask me for a pre-established non-serious romantic connection, or just interact and lets see if it happens! Ariveth’s flirty nature makes it very easy to ship with her. 

As for endgame ships (and specifically Ari’s ‘canon’ ship): that’s something I’ll only consider doing after extensive writing. If our characters have already established chemistry and a romantic dynamic in more than one thread, and I feel like the other muse would be a good match for Ariveth, I will mention the possibility to you. This isn’t something I care to rush however, given the slight exclusivity it entails, and I want to make sure there's compatibility plus a healthy relationship/mutual investment with the other mun. I wanna be clear: I do not expect more time/effort be devoted to our ship than others at all (in fact I’d encourage equal investment among all your ships) but I’m very wary of committing Ariveth to a character whose mun neglects the ship or gets bored/goes through ships quickly. I prefer to have minimal yet quality ships. I hope you can see it from my perspective and understand my trepidation. I really want to be sure. If you ARE interested in this, interaction is the only route toward it; I will not pre-plot without proper development.

2. Favourite chapter?

So I've been playing dbd since a tiny bit before blight or a tiny bit after I can't remember, so I'm going to split it up into favorite chapter I've been at the release for and favorite chapter in general.

Favorite chapter release was probably Hellraiser, because I love the franchise so much and even with all the "making a mountain out of a mole hill" that went on around the chapter release, I fucking love his voice lines and I think he's a really fun and dynamic killer to play as and play against. (unless you're solo then he's kind of a solo stomper tbh) Though I am very well aware I am unique in that I love playing against killers that don't let me sit on gens and make the match more engaging like Wesker, Knight, Singularity, Pig etc.

Favorite chapter in general: Demise Of The Faithful. I fucking love the Plague, I love her design, I love her lore, I lover her game play, her cosmetics are fucking incredible, she genuinely is one of the killers that I am delighted to see every time I see one. I love Aldiris. Especially since they added one corrupted fountain, it was such a minor buff, but changed how you'd play her and play against her in such a positive way. Like how it went from basically being an m1 killer, because no one would cleanse to "Oh shit I actually have to think about when I want to cleanse now."

I think she has some really fun add ons that aren't just your usual buffing her power and genuinely she is such a fun strategic killer to play. She is both a set up and projectile killer and its so much fun, plus she came out with Corrupt Intervention that is a key perk for a lot of set up killers in the game currently. Genuinely if you've never played the plague would highly recommend, she has such a high skill ceiling and expression.

5. Favourite killer to play as?

Normally I'd say the Knight, but as I keep talking about, because it's come up a lot online this week from my own circles: he's is such a buggy fucking mess that you cannot play him. You play him and set down a patrol path just to get stunned by a pallet you're 50 feet away from because you ended your path near it, you can't use your power 90% of the time because you're "too close to an object", map of the realm is needed to get any use out of your guards 99% of the time, even then your guards move so slow they're never going to get a hit and their ai is so easy to trick, you have to sit in place to even use your patrol paths to break pallets or gens, so you're ultimately losing more distance than you gain 99% of the time you use it, etc. etc.

He has so many issues and it's past the point of frustration in playing him for me to just me being sad that I can't play my favorite killer, because he's virtually unplayable most games and this is after he was kill switched for 1 or 2 months. All of his bugs and issues remain the exact same, because of how poorly coded he is. Genuinely he is incredibly fun and interesting when I can play him, but to just be able to play him is a challenge in itself where you're fighting the game every 3 seconds.

7. What's a license you'd like to see added to the game?

Look I'ma be entirely honest with you all: I do not care about what license is added to the game. There's ones like f.naf where I'm like eh... I'd rather see a more deserving license added that actually fits the games style, but I genuinely do not care if they're added. (I mean this 100%: I hate S.pringtraps design, I'd rather it be V.anny or N.ightmarrionette if anyone is added)

I guess if I had to pick one though it'd be like The Thing or Outlast.

12. Favourite perk to use?

Old Blast Mine, no contest. I literally have no idea why they nerfed it, it was such a meme perk that had no real use to it.

15. Favourite chase music?

Legion, Oni, or Knight- I'm a slut for drums to be honest.

twitter stop fucking up for one second challenge (impossible)

well,

here’s the thing. it feels like social media is changing lately. every social media site seems to be fucking up or getting worse in its own special little way. i recently read and thought a lot about this article which coins the term “enshittification” and describes the process by which every social media platform eventually becomes so greedy as to become unusable. it makes me wonder if the social internet is due for a big shift in the near future. 

for a long time, twitter was the best place for me. for all its issues, it had the audience that i could reach the easiest, that was the most invested in my art. i got (still get) a lot of awesome replies and really great analysis of my work on twitter, which i didn’t receive on any other platform. i was able to encourage those readers by retweeting their comments and theories to show that i liked hearing their thoughts. i could use the Moments feature to organize my art and make my comic easily readable in order. and anyone could look at my twitter, account or no.

ever since the site was bought out, twitter is getting worse. i can’t use the app on mobile anymore because every reply section is drowned out by blue checks and choked with ads. the Moments feature was disabled and people couldn’t easily read my comics in order anymore. and this is without even touching on the bigger/more serious issues the buyout has brought to the app. these are just the ways it has made my personal experience of being an artist on there worse. and now, apparently, you can’t even look at my work unless you have an account.

it’s been pretty common in the past year for the new management to implement a bad feature and then undo it after backlash, and maybe this too will be reversed. but even if it is unimplemented, the platform will continue to get worse. all platforms are getting worse right now. all of them are becoming untenable to use without 7 bespoke browser extensions to block ads, hide specific unwanted content, force chronological order, and so on. on mobile i don’t even bother. apps are unusable. 

on top of that, i have the personal issue of not being the type of creator who is particularly good at staying on top of more than one or two platforms daily. twitter has been my main for years now, so i’m pretty good about updating it very regularly. instagram is trailing behind, i usually remember to post there daily (especially as i’m remaking mine right now and posting my entire backlog) but sometimes i forget. and that’s kind of my limit. every other site falls by the wayside because i just don’t want to spend my whole day or life updating platforms. i know there are tools that can do it automatically for you but i don’t want to do it that way and then i’d have to figure out a new tool and get yet another account on yet another app and install yet another extension to use it.

i just want to draw. i don’t know how we arrived at this place where we need to be 700 other things when we are just artists. i draw and write, isn’t that enough? if i wanted a presence on tiktok i’d also have to be a video editor who pays close attention to trends and makes sure to transform my artwork into something people on that app are interested in. even if i just wanted to have a strong presence on say, twitter/instagram/tumblr/tapas/webtoon i’d have to take on another (unpaid) job as my own social media manager, meticulously managing my uploads across 5+ apps and making sure everything is up to date and tailored to what “works” on each particular platform. i already have a day job—i’m a storyboard artist. the art i post online is supposed to be made and given freely for my own enrichment first and foremost, and for the joy of sharing with others as a close second.

i wonder if we’re due for a mass rejection of this increasingly draining cable-wars-style model of spreading ourselves thin across multiple platforms just to reach the exclusive audience each one provides. i’m starting to feel done with that concept, but i still want to share my art. i want to hear my readers’ thoughts. i want to create things that connect with others. i want to do it without these ever-mounting obstacles.

what i’m doing about it is creating my own website at my own domain that belongs to me. i doubt i’ll be quitting social media when it’s done. social media is still where the audience i cherish lives. but you can bet that when that website is ready to be shared, i’ll be talking about it on every social media account i own. i’ll be telling everyone there’s a place to look at my art where you don’t need an account, you don’t have to struggle through a morass of ads, and you don’t have to line the pockets of a billionaire who bought a social media app on a whim. it’ll just be you and my art. alone together.

by the way, to @whatthehelljake​ i apologize for writing a fucking SAT essay on a screenshot of your reply. any exasperated tone here is not directed at you at all. it’s directed at this sea of obstacles that disrupt the simple concept of “i made art and i want to share it with you.” your reply is how i found out today that twitter made this change. i cherish the fact that you want to connect with my art so much that you alerted me to this. i wish that wasn’t necessary. i want to make my work on my own terms—and want you to be able to experience it on YOUR own terms.

all that to say, i think the website is going to be the main answer to this issue. i don’t see myself having the energy to update tumblr that much more often than i already do, though maybe i’ll try to pick up the pace a little now. we’ll see. holy shit if you read all this go drink a glass of water or something get up and stretch. ok thank you bye <3

how would you change NHL overtime rules? 

i think i would do … ten minute overtime.

three on three still. and then maybe … try that for a bit, and if it didn’t work, maybe do no, uh — ‘cause, like, it’s such a big … everyone wants to keep possession, maybe do a no over-and-back rule. 

finally – i know i’m asking a goalie this question – on a scale from one to ten, how superstitious are you? 

i’m gonna go, like … four, five.

pretty low, yeah. you can ask my fiancée, my teammates, my friends.  it’s nothing too crazy, just go out there and have fun. 

i’m doing a story on PWHL minnesota team. i just think that minnesota fans are amazing, because they watch those women from all the way out here. for someone who’s from minnesota, can you tell me what that environment is like? 

yeah, it’s so special, i think, like, boys and girls high school hockey there is just, like, so important, uh … it’s kinda like football in texas, that’s what i compare it to, and, uh — i played in the state tournament, um, my freshman year in high school and that was, like, one of my favorite hockey memories of my whole career, um, so — it’s just so special, and i think, i mean … when i saw that they had 13,000 or whatever at the x it didn’t surprise me one bit, i mean, it’s the state of hockey for a reason, and, uh, just happy to see that league getting the support they deserve and the ladies getting the recognition they deserve. 

are there any minnesota female hockey players who really stand out for you? 

um, well, one i was gonna say is, i played with — when i was at BU i played with, uh, abby cook and jesse compher and they’re both in the PWHL now, and, i mean, we got to go watch them win the beanpot, and, i mean, the hockey’s great, you know — these women are so talented and, uh, deserve to have a place where they can play and, you know, get paid just like we do and, um, you know, i think minnesota’s such a good spot for it.

Jupiter Storm aka Mind he/it Quick to label paranormal events as something else, it took Jupiter a while to acknowledge Soul's existence. The ghost made it's presence very well known to him when it was getting tired of Jupiter ignoring him. Despite it constantly pushing off the paranormal as something more "logical", Jupiter has the ability to sense and even touch spirits. A very useful ability for getting out of trouble. Though it does have the backfired effect of Soul's more physical attacks having more effect against Jupiter. He has the brunt of Soul's attacks and has the scars to show it. He has a habit of not sleeping for long periods of time, or getting very little sleep when he does. He did it before moving into the new house, but frequent nightmares have definitely made it worse. Its body also has the tendency to extremely overheat for reasons he doesn't know. It has nothing to do with the paranormal, it just happens. He is the only one that can cook. Unfortunately sleeps in Soul's old room, which leads to issues. He has chronic headaches. Hates mirrors, leading to a lack of mirrors in the house. For the most part, there are only the bathroom mirrors.

Juno Moon aka Heart they/he/she A fan of the supernatural and things alike, Juno immediately knew something was in the house with them and Jupiter. He tried to get in contact with this new spectral roommate, with success. Juno is visually impaired. Despite this, they do have the ability to see ghosts, whether the ghost wants to be seen or not. Only, she and others tend to ignore whatever he sees due to their vision issues and history of hallucinations (visual and auditory). Soul took a liking to Juno, so for the most part they are spared from harm. They enjoy making friendship bracelets, making sure to make a pair for themself and his new friend Soul. She has a habit of oversleeping which Jupiter tries to help them avoid doing, to little avail. Despite seeming like the more passive of the pair, Juno starts way more fights than Jupiter does. They can also be decently aggressive if agitated. They are a little too trusting of Soul, quick to push off most negative things Jupiter says about the ghost.

Grey Spring aka Soul, Ghost, Spirit, and any other word for ghost any pronouns (typically it/he) A tragedy who has been dead too long to remember much of his past and who he was before. The only clear memory being his death, something it wishes it could forget. A poltergeist whose favourite hobby is shattering glass. A lot of money is spent on buying new plates and cups to replace the ones Soul smashes. It isn't too fond of people living in his house, chasing out most of the people who move in. It was murdered by someone he was roommates and friends with. And when it sees Jupiter and Juno move in as roommates, it immediately assumes one of the two is going to kill the other and wants to prevent that from happening. Soul projects his trauma onto the two, seeing Juno as more like itself and Jupiter more like its murderer. This leads to clear favouritism as well as a strong desire to want to get rid of Jupiter to save Juno. (Despite the fact Juno is more likely to kill Jupiter, opposite to what Soul believes.) He also hates Jupiter for a number of smaller reasons, little annoyances that keep adding up. Jupiter is in its room, Jupiter keeps things dark, he's taller than Soul, he ignored him for a good amount of time, he still tries to ignore it while it is trying to threaten him. It hates the dark. Usually ghosts may turn lights off for a scare, but Soul turns lights on for his own comfort. Something that annoys Jupiter, and sometimes Juno.

Help I know I asked for saiki k requests TWO months ago and I had a really fun idea for an illustration, but my brain is a smooth cube. so that idea stays up in the air.

For now take a really quick silly crack doodle about one of the many possibilities I think Kusuke/Makoto telling Saiki/Teruhashi would go. Spoiler alert: it’s hilariously horrible.

(Saiki thinks they’re messing with them and Teruhashi is seething. Are they pranking them? Who knows.)

And ya know what? Beneath the cut take my redesigns of these guys and my notes for them because I made several months ago ‘cause I haven’t touched them since :(

A quick note! These designs aren’t meant to say ‘fix’ the original-they’re just for fun! Even if I think elements of mine look better, clearly the original works and are well loved. Also I’m not especially fond of these anyways JAJSJANW

Saiki doesn’t change much other than his palette is a more balanced. Also I really like designing hair, and wanted the idea that Saiki really tries to sleek it down to something very generic and unassuming, but the hairpins get stuck in the way and his hair sorta moves outwards from there. Continuing the idea that his powers make him subtly less normal. It also accidentally made him look A LOT more like his parents, oops.

Also I drew a comparison from his canon hair to his redesign, because I didn’t think it was particularly clear until side by side.

Also I actually gave this one a proper illustration lol.

Teruhashi’s design was actually partly inspired by @lu-kario’s human mlp designs because they’re really good :^ She’s also pretty standard except her hair and color (which I’m not too satisfied with.)

I like the idea of the Teruhashi Siblings being a bit supernatural, so along with weird shine effects, they also get constant wind effects! Like in all the anime where they have flowing hair at just the right times even though it wasn’t windy at all before? Yeah! Except that’s more Makoto’s thing while the shine stays Kokomi’s.

Also what ethnicity are these characters now? To me they’re still Japanese, but I think people don’t ever use a range of skin tones for the same ethnicity. But really these are just fun designs I didn’t really think too hard.

Kusuke! He was the first one I did and an absolute PAIN. He was also the reason I did this, because as much as I love Saiki K and respect the author, I just got to know what is going on with his debut clothes.

Well not like I did that much better… Kusuke is stuck with four alt palettes because I can’t decide which shade of weird yellow and purple to make his head and gown (I’ve resolved to draw his hair a different shade of yellow in every drawing.) His eyes also match Saiki with purple eyes, because I think they look better lmao.

Also, that’s his Cambridge gown he’s wearing. And fun fact-they have a great amount of rules on what color does gowns get an accent of based off what subject people are taking! I decided to not think too hard on that and just gave him a better looking gown.

And I really like the hair I gave him, the original to me just lacks a bit of anime shape style. Also his headgear is shaped like a graduation hat now lol.

He also has a silly little doodle for what he’d look like with his lab coat. It’s not here, but I like to think he always puts a ponytail up!

Last and also least xp, Makoto! He’s uhh about the same with the points I said with Teruhashi. Just very angular now. I swear I tried to design a better fashion for Makoto but I just ended up with the same.

I tried to style his hair how Japanese celebrities would, but I don’t know if I succeeded. His hair as I said is constantly blowing to the left lol. Also he has a hair clip now! In my head Kusuke gives him a telepathy canceller disguised as a hairclip.

Also anyone can draw or get inspired by these designs if you wanted lol Though I don’t really like these, I still use these hairstyle for drawing them cause I think they look cool lol.

disco elysium! day 4!

we finally made some headway in the actual mystery (got the hardie boys and klaasje to talk), only to discover that we'd been lied to the entire time and in fact had made no headway in the actual actual mystery. (also we explored the new area probably earlier than intended.) visual calculus isn't as poetic as some of the other skills but it is always so fascinating when it pops off. also we spent quite a while debating the physics of the murder as it was described to us right before visual calculus laid out exactly what we'd been discussing.

other developments: we've started a couple intriguing new thoughts (including homosexual underground and remote sensing division); met our coworkers in shitty disguises; did very badly at telling a woman her husband was dead; got a steam achievement for getting kim to like us; learned that kim has an embarrassing past as a pinball champion??????; acquired a die that only ever tells us god has abandoned us and had a very meta discussion about failure.

also, we got two incredible leather jackets off some randos looking at kim's car. i'm trying to avoid spoilers so i don't want to search but: is there art out there of us and kim wearing the jackets; if so, please link me to your favorite one

still have no idea where we are in the game (don't tell me!). i think we could be as early as the beginning of act 2 or as late as the beginning of act 3, but this could correspond to truly any amount of in-game or out-of-game time remaining. there's so much game in this game that absorbing spoilers ambiently from my dash kind of tells me nothing

lastly: i am so, so sad we didn't win the mountain climbing pinball game. i immediately changed all our clothes to the appropriate bonus and tried again, only to learn the machine was busted. if we don't get another chance, i would fully replay this game to be able to win at pinball.
