First of all thank you love. Uni stuff are very confusing , well i wish to study abroad i just don’t know where.. i need a scholarship preferably fully funded :( . And for personal reasons and due to issues in some papers i cannot leave my country in sep/oct when unis start. So like i’ll miss a semester i wanted to ask like am i allowed to start jan 2024 and take an extra semester in summer 2024 to compensate not being there in sep/oct and like i’m asking per the UK, Europe.

And like i still haven’t applied i’m so exhausted from school i barely have time for myself so i can’t really look at unis,i really should tho :( and i need a good uni for psychology since i chose to study that (BA+MA) and i really really don’t wanna be in debt.. that’s why i said fully funded scholarship. And apparently i think i have to do a foundation year wherever i go.. (i also speak eng and arabic) so if one of your anons can help me out in anyway i’d be so grateful. i'm still making my way through hotel del luna but i do love it so far!! i'm watching girls planet 999 right now too and yeo jingoo is a great mc!

omg my top 5 worst kdramas....okay i do have thoughts hope these aren't too controversial looool (these aren't really in any particular order i disliked all these pretty equally)

1. boys over flowers - i couldn't get through it, i tried but it's just not it. the heirs is better, i said what i said

2. do do sol sol la la sol - i have such hate in my heart for this drama because it had such great potential and was ruined with horrible plot twists and writing that made no sense. BOOOOOO. and this isn't even about go ara, i know people don't like her but i thought she did as well as she could with this horrible source material

3. dream high - i have a love/hate relationship with this show but it's mostly hate because the love triangle was so weird, it felt like they changed their mind about who suzy should end up with halfway through. also putting iu in a fat suit was a choice that really makes it not age well lol

4. start up - again, had so much potential and was just ruined. the secondary characters really carried this one for me and i'm so glad seonho is shining in hometown cha cha cha right now because he deserves it after this mess

5. true beauty - this might be controversial and i like eunwoo, but i just couldn't get into this. i watched like 6 episodes and had to give up, i hate the whole "betraying my friend because the boy i like likes her" troupe so when that came into play i had to give it up. i liked my id is gangnam beauty more

About boys over flowers vsbsnz I have a friend that is always talking shit about it so I didn't watch, the do sol la sol one, I saw it on Netflix and I looked at it and I was like,, No. Gsndjs so that was a pass too ,,, dream high never heard of it but maybe it's better that way dhdjjdnd and about true beauty I've been reading the webtoon since the beginning and when I saw the news it would have a drama adaptation I was like.... 😬😬 Yeah.... Not cute dhndndns so that was a skip too ❤️

About my top3 worst kdramas... I have some controversial opinions too fjmfmdms pls don't snipe me but,, in no particular order:

1) (tbh this real be the drama I hate the most ever): tempted or the great seducer. Bro... Brooo BROOOOO this drama made me feel stuff I didn't knew I could... The amount of RAGE I felt while watching this...... It was just so painfully annoying... And like I finish like 99% of the dramas i start, so I made myself go through this, and it really was a near death experience gsbdnmd love the cast, SUBURB cast, joy, moon gayoung, woo dohwan, Kim minjae... Bro AND FOR WHAT.......... never again

2) 100 days my Prince. Kyungsoo literally carried this shit sbdnndmssb such a boring show god .... The main girl, I've seen more dramas with her but I just don't really vibe with her as an actress so that didn't help either gsbdndns but yeah I mean,,, kyungsoo outshined BY FAR.

3) mystic pop up bar. God this one...... I really can't comprehend how people liked this hdbdndjs I watched this with a friend and that's the only reason why I finished it.... It made angry too bdnfnmdm

as for biases im ot10! i bias all of them bc theyre all just so funny and cute and loveable <3 i do have a softspot for yanan and hui tho

with yanan he just caught my eye when i watched pentagon maker! he was so cute and endearing funny and had so many moments that made me fall in love with him first (i love my girl julie + how he had forgot the food hui asked him to get twice + yan soon + the peppero kiss with changgu + his letter to the members). as time went on i really liked seeing him get out of his shell and grow into the person he is today! how he has gone on so many shows to represent pentagon and how he has become healthier and happier and im so happy that he feels better now after his hiatus and i hope he has good health for the extended future <3

with hui, his performance of "for you" really solidified his status as my second favorite child. the way he cares about all the members so thoroughly and deeply and cries so easily when anything happens to them individually or as a group. i love how he puts his all into trying to make pentagon a name to remember (and i think hes done a fantastic job with it). plus hes just a funky little guy! he loves hugs and cuddles and holding hands! he loves being silly and makes a siren sound when he enters a members vlive! he makes a fool of himself just to make everyone laugh because he likes being silly!!! ugh i love him

honestly i could write an essay about what i love about each member and ive barely included everything that endears me to yanhui shdksg like i love how wooseok loves being the baby (penjelbe my beloved) and how changgu purposefully leans into being 'unfunny' just to be a nusance and how shinwon would do anything for the members (driving 3 hours to get hongseok a cake for his bday) and how jinho cares for everyone as the oldest members, esp hui bc hes the only hyung he has in the group and—

ugh i need to stop before i clog up ur inbox no joke i love them all so much dgdkgsak

omg this brought me such joy to read!! i can tell how much you love them and it's so lovely 🥺i totally agree with everything you said here - especially about hui! hui is really one of, if not the, best leaders in kpop in my opinion. he cares so much about every member and works so hard to keep the group going through hard times. he's sacrificed so much for pentagon and i have so much respect and admiration for him!

hmmmmm so wooseok stood out to me right away, one of the first ptg mvs i saw was basquiat and he really shines in that one. i loved him rapping and his adorableness right away. yuto i sort of came to over time, the more content i watched and the more i listened to i just really fell in love with who he is and also his talent! it was a slower progression for me. same for changgu, he became my bias wrecker after do or not era because he really stood out during that to me!

Ooh hmmm I haven’t dyed my hair but I’ve thought pastel pink would be fun for a while now. My friend bleached just the underside of her hair and that also looks cool lol. My hobbies these days are crochet and reading. I have this really nice big soft pink yarn and when I’m working with it I have to stop every once in a while to feel the yarn.

I don’t know how people keep figuring out that I love Yuto 🤨 haha, but he’s my ult bias! You didn’t ask, but just to put it out there Wooseok and Yanan are also biases, and I consider Jinho and Hui bias wreckers. And Shinwon? That man stays jumping through my bias list. And of course I love everyone else, too! The longer I stan the more I find out about everyone and it gets hard sometimes to not just say they’re all my bias ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Before Pentagon I listened to strictly girls groups only, but then my friend showed me Triple H (performances of both title tracks) and as soon as I heard Hui’s voice I fell in love with it. So when she told me that he’s part of another group I went to go look for Pentagon. However I believe this was all happening during Dr. Bebe era??? I’m not too sure but that seems about right.

What made me a fan? Hard to say, if I’m being honest. Al I remember is the first song I ever heard from them I hated, haha.

I listened to Humph (I’m fine with the song now and it’s one of my favorite photo shoots) and to me the song was awful (in terms of music production and vocal performance??? I don’t know what past me was thinking).

But because I knew Hui I decided to listen to another song and that’s how I found the BOP THAT NAUGHTY BOY, WOOT WOOT!!! As soon as I heard that song I knew I wanted more and more like that Twice song. From that point I heard Shine, Sha La La, and Critical Beauty as well. So I guess I got into them for the music. Out of the songs I heard their music was all different and I liked the 4/5 songs that I would come to repeatedly watch afterwards. There was also that added factor of me being in love with Hui’s voice. From the songs I heard I also fell in love with Yanan, Yuto, and Wooseok’s voices. When I heard Can You Feel It during the 2020 summer, that’s when I decided it was time to stan 🤠 (one of my favorite title tracks, it was just that good).

I just have one more question though, what kind of majors would be most helpful for someone who wants to be a concept artist or an animator? I've found a few places I like offering courses for design, but I can't find any relating to animation and film. Do you know of any places that would offer courses like that? You've been an amazing help to me, so thank you!

Hey unianon :) You’re very welcome - I’m glad to help!

There are different possibilities regarding majors compatible with concept art and animation, the choice ultimately depends on your preferences. I personally recommend going after a classical design (illustration/film/animation) master because it yields the broadest knowledge spectrum and you’re able to react rather flexible to the ups and downs of the industry - this is especially important when you don’t have much job experience. Many FHs adapted to the newer fields of concept art, game design and animation and offer study courses that cover them. I know that the FHs in Münster, Hamburg and Munich offer game-related courses in the main studies and I can also recommend those institutions.

There are dedicated, privately owned colleges called “Games Academy” which offer strictly game-related studies and majors. My opinion on them isn’t that good because they’re horribly expensive, 8000 Euros and upwards for ONE semester, and they teach nothing that a “classical” designer wouldn’t learn within one to two years at a developer studio. On top of that, their degree covers such a small aspect of the field of design that it won’t be of any help when trying to apply elsewhere, for example advertisement agencies or publishers. A classic design degree gets you much further in that case.

If you wish to really develop yourself towards film and animation, the Film Academies of Ludwigsburg, Berlin and Munich are very renowned. The academy in Ludwigsburg also offers studies for concept art, special effects and games animation, but with much more interconnections to film and media in general than at Games Academy.
