Getting into a new fandom and half of it is arguing about "shipping" ...
Good thing I am immune to "ship" discourse about whether a relationship in fiction is bad or unhealthy or whatever because I grew up on X-Men comics.

UK Visitor Visa
Visitors are often awarded six-month visas to the UK, which may be used for one or more entries. Single entry UK visitor visas only permit one entry into the country, whereas multiple entry UK visitor visas permit several entries and exits from the country throughout the validity period. Whether you want a single-entry or multiple-entry visa must be specified while applying.
Single-entry visas might be granted more rapidly, especially to people who have never been to the UK.
The UK Visiting Visa is valid for travel to the UK up until the specified date.
On a visiting visa, it is not possible to get married in the UK.
The applicant's intended length of stay in the UK will be inquired about by the Embassy. Even if the response is "one month," they will typically still grant a six-month visa. All subsequent visa requests will be significantly jeopardized if the applicant remains more than one month, and they will typically be denied.
There is no right of appeal for a visitor visa denial, but there is one if the visa is for visiting a member of one's immediate family.
The applicant must meet the following conditions in order to be admitted to the UK as a guest or visitor:
is sincerely seeking entry as a guest for a period of no longer than six months;
intends to depart once his visit is over
does not plan to produce something or supply services, or to take a paid or unpaid job
does not offer direct sales of products or services to visitors;
does not intend to attend a school that receives public funding;
without using public funding, can be maintained and accommodated;
demonstrate your ability to cover the expense of your next destination's travel.
Supporting documents you need to provide
Provide any and all documentation you have that wil
l support your eligibility for visitor entrance to the UK. The following is among the documents:
bank statements, pay stubs, or other documentation demonstrating your financial capability to cover the cost of the trip and your ability to sustain yourself and any dependents without working or receiving any public assistance, and
evidence that you'll be leaving the UK after your visit is over (for example, a letter from your employer).
You'll need the following if you're visiting family or friends:
a letter outlining your relationship with and reason for visiting your sponsor (the person you are visiting);
a replica of the bio-data page—the page with their photo—of their UK passport, or, if they are not citizens of the UK, documentation of their immigration status in the country.
If your sponsor is covering your travel expenses or providing support during your visit, you will need:
Paystubs, bank statements, or other documentation demonstrating their financial capacity to support you.
Bringing Back Documents In every instance, the Embassy will only provide photocopies of the original documents at the time of application submission and will only return all supporting material, the applicant's passport, and the decision to the applicant.
Permanence of Visitor VisaA visiting visa typically allows for unlimited entry and exit from the UK while it is still in effect. You are only permitted to stay for a total of six months each visit. The duration of a visit visa can be six months, a year, two years, five years, or ten years. You can submit an application for a visa good for any of these times. If you are not a frequent traveler or have never been to the UK before, the Entry Clearance Officer may opt to grant your visa for a shorter period of time than you requested.
