are you gonna post a part two to maybe this time?
I don't want to say I absolutely won't, because I have a tendency to come back and want to add more to a story, but as of right now Maybe This Time is just a smutty one shot. I wanted to try my hand at Frank smut because I've written so much of it for Matt Murdock and now I'm branching into Frank as well, but I'm the type who needs to make a whole backstory so I know why they're having sex 😆 Which is how this fic came about.
I will say if it seems like a lot of you are interested and enjoyed that story, there's a possibility I might make a second part. Right now I just have a lot of ongoing fics for the three characters I write for. I still need to write the second part to my Frank fic Don't Walk Away which will also contain smut, and I'm working on chapter six of my long Frank fic You're Safe With Me. And I'm back and forth on adding a happier little part two to Your Body is Not a Graveyard. So I do have some other Frank fics I'm focused on (along with a Frank Castle x Reader/Matt Murdock x Reader fic or mini-series I haven't teased quite yet titled Jealousy). So there will be more Frank content coming out from me at least!
Thank you for asking though! Sorry for the long-winded reply, I always over-explain 😅 I'm glad you enjoyed that fic though!

903 The One With The Pediatrician
Their second on-screen goodbye.
Ross getting snubbed by his sister is just wonderful. Not that I think he's expecting her to say anything to him, but he's smiling at her only to realise she can't even see him. She's only got eyes for Chandler and Ross lets them have their moment alone.
It's also one of the only times (excluding their wedding, where their "I love you" is probably the only other time I can think of it happening on camera) that everyone in the group gets to see how intimate these two are, they all are technically in the scene but move out of the way to let Mondler have their moment, let Matthew and Courteney and their chemistry shine, where the group is humbled and in awe, silent and unteasing as Monica and Chandler flaunt their relationship and in doing so shine.
Not that it's a competition, but Roschel "couple" moments like this in front of the group are so often wide shots with the rest of the group in the background (and mondler stealing the scene even though the camera is not focused on them). Mondler, however, are too compelling. They're where the eye goes anyway but mid-shots and close ups cut the other's out because nothing but aweing at their closeness and wincing as their kiss gets hotter, jealousy of the audience hooting, can be seen in the background.
They're the type of couple to call when they get home from a function, just to make sure the other knows they're safe.
This is going to be such a weird transition for them. They've spent, what, twelve years living either together or in each other's pocket, there was never a day when they didn't speak or know the other was within easily crossed proximity.

okay not that anyone really asked here’s my full review of the passenger series from itv. obviously spoilers under the cut.
i went into this series with pretty low expectations seeing the general reviews of it on google, but the further i got into the first few episodes of the series the more excited i got. i was really enjoying it! i thought it was shot really well and the colors were very appealing. lots of bold, warm oranges, reds and blues. overall i think the visual aspects are done incredibly well. everyone’s acting in it is great, too, something i didn’t expect. the banter is fun and gets you interested / attached to the characters as well as makes them feel real, like someone you’d meet in your day to day life. i like that a lot.
i’m a big fan of the ‘small town, big secrets’ trope, and no matter how many times its been done before i still eat it up every single time. every single person in that town has their own baggage and something that makes them the monster of chaddervale. i would have loved to see everyone realizing / being told that eddie really didn’t attack jim. we (both us as the audience and them as the characters) didn’t get enough time to settle down and think about that. all we got was a scene with eddies wife, joanne, saying something about revenge. that’s pretty much it.
there are so many plot points in this series, most of which i’m interested in, that are established in only 6 episodes, most of which go unanswered. does it leave for a good cliffhanger? no. it doesn’t. it leaves for a frustrating, unsatisfying watch with so much potential its almost painful. and you know, maybe, just maybe i could forgive this if the big reveal of the series wasn’t so stupid. my opinion on this is definitely skewed due to personal taste but i think only a bit. instead of following along the plot of the ‘curse’ or even a cryptid they instead went the route of some black web company doing experiments on anxiety riddled screen addicted youth? that feels like such a unearned, unteased ending. that’s not what i came to that series for. it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t make sense. the previous episodes and the twist don’t fit together. just because something is unexpected doesn’t mean its a good twist. i understand that so many stories have been told before and people want to create something that’s new and unique. but i just don’t think this was the way to go about it. and like i understand the commentary about young people being lonely and spending too much time on their phones but haven’t we had enough media about that? like at this point you’re saying something that’s been said time and time again without adding anything of value. sorry.
i’m being a bit harsh. maybe i would have enjoyed this twist more if it didn’t feel so rushed. six episodes isn’t a lot for a mystery series. you need more time to establish things, to build up tension and intrigue. they’re only given a certain amount of episodes and they just have to make do. i empathize with them, its the plight of modern shows. gone are filler episodes and month long runs. but i still feel as if there could have been a much better job done with the story— twist aside. like i’m still confused on if the 6th episode was the end of season 1. because it really didn’t. it wasn’t like a fun cheeky little cliffhanger, it was just a gaping hole left.
here comes the part where i throw what i would have done with the series at you. they’re a bit silly, yes, but i think they’re more… in line with the series than what actually happened.
i would have maybe done that there’s an underground worldwide cryptid / monster smuggling ring that takes them to be expirmented on or even used as weapons and maybe the bread factory was involved in it and due to negligence one not native to the area! thats why its being violent because its in an environment its not used to and its scared because everything seems hostile to it. maybe the monster could be friendly as a fun twist! that could also be a parallel to eddie who’s in a new environment where everyone hates him and he’s also not really a monster.
another thing that they could have done is maybe people are being turned into werewolves by that company! they’re trying to make super soldiers and they’re kidnapping young people to experiment on them and see what happens and if they can fit into normal society. this could also go into the whole “everyone is the monster of chaddervale” thing i was discussing before.
or!! it could be an alien show!! maybe people are being abducted by aliens and that’s what’s wrong with them!! i don’t know!!
in conclusion i did enjoy this show despite all of the harsh things i said above i just wished it was better. i honestly do recommend watching it if you enjoy mystery shows and aren’t upset by bad writing or whatever. i hope it gets a season 2 and i hope all of the plot points are resolved. so. whatever. needed to get this out of my system.

December 1993, Hollywood
It was 3AM and Lani wasn’t home yet, and this left Ryan feeling sick and fidgety. 3AM back in the 80s was nothing; they were out til the sun came up more often than not. But these days, Lani still out past 3AM was fucking dangerous. Ryan was wrapped in a ratty blanket, huddled as far away from the windows as he could get. It was an unusually cold night in Hollywood, and since it usually didn’t get cold, and since they were so broke it wasn’t even funny anymore, they didn’t have heating in the shithole of an apartment they called home. Ryan was fucking freezing. He wasn’t sure how much of it was from the actual temperature and how much was from withdrawals, but either way, he was fucking miserable. And Lani was still out.
Lani thought Ryan didn’t know what he did to make the rent, but Ryan knew. Ryan had known for a long time. People who worked at McDonald’s didn’t come home looking broken and fucked out at 4AM, and Lani would never survive in a real job, anyways. Not that Lani was surviving so well as it was. He liked to pretend, but Ryan saw how his face screwed up with nightmares sometimes, or how his shoulders slumped when he walked, or how the sparkle in his eyes had dulled. Ryan knew.
And it was 3AM, and Lani wasn’t home yet, and Ryan couldn’t call the cops even if he never came back.
**** Somehow, when Lani had imagined Hollywood, the picture he’d gotten in his mind was a little more glamorous than this. It was a lot more girls and fancy cars and designer drugs and a lot less being shoved against the wall behind a liquor store, selling his ass to pay the rent.
Life imitates art, or art imitates life, or whatever they say; rags to parties to evenings in the gutter to sex in a phone booth to heroin thin boyfriends to eviction notices to suicide scars to drunken Sunday mornings on the kitchen floor to streetwalking to rags again. All the poets got it right.
Lani slumped against the wall and zipped up his jeans with cold fingers. It was not a good night. He had $45 in his pocket, which didn’t go very far towards the rent or Ryan’s drug habit. Hollywood looked lifeless at night, these days. He kept his head down as he walked home—his bleached blonde hair was messy and unteased, but he knew everything about him still screamed glam. It wasn’t like it was something you could just get rid of; he would probably wear its scars and marks for the rest of his life. And he had on eyeliner. It was a habit, at this point, and it made him feel pretty. His looks were about all he had and he wasn’t gonna give those up, too.
He knew Ryan was probably worrying. He walked a little faster.
****
Ryan was still curled miserably on the floor when Lani unlocked the door and threw his jacket over the couch.
“I thought you were dead!” Ryan said, jolting up and poking Lani’s chest with an accusatory finger. “Jesus, Lani, it’s past four!”
“I know, I know,” Lani sighed. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine, I was just…worried. I shouldn’t yell.” Ryan leaned in and kissed the corner of Lani’s mouth gently. “I just worry.”
“I know,” Lani said. “Don’t touch me ’til I shower.”
“I don’t care-”
“I said, don’t touch me ’til i shower! I’m…sweaty.”
“Do you wanna take a bath instead? The water’s still on. I’ll wash your hair.”
Lani looked broken as he contemplated under the soft lamplight. Ryan knew he didn’t want to want to, but he also desperately wanted. Lani always wanted; he wanted everything and no one, nothing at all and the entire world at his feet.
“Yeah. That would be nice. Will you get the water going? I need a fucking drink.”

Holy: Chapter Seven
This is a new fic that is completed but I think I’ll be rolling it out chapter by chapter because it is a long one. It’s brat tamer, jaded widower Sheriff Hassan in full effect. This fic does contain some very rough sex and consensual sexual violence in some chapters so please do not read if that is a trigger for you. Otherwise, please enjoy and leave feedback!
Holy
Chapter Seven
Word Count: 1k+
Rating: Explicit (18+ only)
Things start adding up, but it brings more questions than answers.
Hassan woke up to Leslie rolling over dramatically to get away from the sun streaming into his window. Her hair was wild on his pillow and her leg was thrown over his waist.
“Good morning, honey.” That was the third time he’d called her that. He made a mental note not to make a habit of it. He reached across her to his bedside table to look at his watch. It was after 7. He hadn’t intended to go into the office early like he usually did. The people from the state police wouldn’t be coming until 9:30 on the Breeze anyway. 7 was late for him, though.
“Good morning, honey.” She mocked back. He knew no kind deed would go unteased.
“I think it’s a good idea if I go into your house without you today to recover your mother.” He cut right to the chase. No sense in skirting around it. “If you don’t feel comfortable going into work, you’re more than welcome to stay here.”
“No, I want to work today.” She stretched her arms over her head, arching her back dramatically. “I think it will be good to take my mind off of things.”
Hassan snaked an arm under her torso and pulled her flush to him. His other hand gravitated to her face, cupping her cheek. He wanted to kiss her. He was so sure that if he let it, his body would do it without permission. He brushed his thumb over her lips instead.
“You were so sweet to me last night.” Her green eyes were dark and intense the way she was backlit, but her gaze still cut right into him. He tried to brush it off, scoffing like it’s what anyone would do. “No, Hassan, I’m serious. For once.” He gave her a pained smile. He didn’t for one moment regret the tenderness he’d shown her, but he was afraid of opening up more. It was already scary enough. “Why are you so good to me? I haven’t done anything to earn it.”
“Hey,” His hand had slipped down to the side of her neck. He could feel her pulse just below the surface. “That’s not-you don’t have to earn that. You deserve to be treated with care, Leslie.”
“Do you think this is all we’ll ever be?” She looked sad. Not the sadness she’d shown the night before. This was different, less raw, more gutting. It was something he suspected had been sitting with her for some time.
“This isn’t the right time to have this discussion.” He didn’t mean to be curt. It truly wasn’t the right time. He didn’t have an answer.
He thought about it all day. While he helped the medical examiner heft Cindy’s frail form into a body bag. While he rolled the carpet from the floor and stuffed the sheets into plastic bags. They didn’t exactly have a crime lab on Crockett. It would all be shipped away to almost certainly never be heard about again. An old woman collapsing wasn’t top tier crime anywhere else. They weren’t even positive it was a crime there on the island yet.
But still, he thought about what Leslie said. Would they ever be more? He couldn’t see a reason in any direction. What even was she to him then? A coworker, a subordinate, a young girl with a big mouth, a woman he occasionally took out his frustrations on. Was she going to be his wife some day? Would she want children? He was old and used up, tired of carrying on and on and on. Is that what she wanted? Leslie was so full of life and light and energy. Her mouth moved a mile a minute and Hassan rarely attempted to keep up. How would that work?
On the other hand, Leslie made him feel comfortable, wanted, accepted. She was in his corner in a place where very few people even wanted to be near him. She’d wiggled her way into his life, his bed, his thoughts, and she wasn’t going anywhere. It wasn’t the type of relationship he was used to, but it could be a relationship nonetheless. If he wanted it to be.
The Breeze left at 7:30 with the contents of Leslie’s living room on it, including her mother. Hassan drove home expecting to see her, but when he walked in he was greeted by his son and only him.
“No Leslie?” He questioned absently, toeing off his boots by the door.
“Don’t you guys like text each other?” Ali was already digging in the fridge, trying to will dinner to appear. “Why are you asking me?”
“Watch it.” He draped his coat over a chair and sat down, scratching his beard and breathing out the stress of the day.
“Is it true that someone murdered Ms. Cindy?” Ali sat down across from him, elbows on the table, hands planted between them firmly. Hassan didn’t answer. He simply shot Ali a pained, annoyed look. “What’s the point in my dad being a cop if I don’t get to know anything?”
“Have you considered that it may not be your business?” Hassan wanted coffee, but he also wanted to sleep. He settled for a cup of tea, crossing the kitchen to fill the kettle.
“Dad, Warren says that if Ms. Cindy just fell or had a heart attack or something you wouldn’t have called the cops on the mainland. And if Leslie did something you wouldn’t have taken her here to do whatever with her.”
The last sentence made Hassan wince a little. Teen boys suspecting that two adults are sleeping together is hardly notable, but in a small town things spread fast.
“So you’re a detective now?” He resisted the urge to shovel sugar into his tea. He intended to end this conversation quickly.
“So somebody did kill her?” Ali clapped his hands together, deciding that he was definitely correct. “What do you think happened?”
“I don’t know. That’s why we called the state police.” He sat down again, this time with his tea in hand and his most straight dad face. “If you hear anything, Ali, anything weird at all, you tell me. Okay?”
“I hear weird stuff all the time.” Ali looked smug, able to give Hassan information for once. “Ms. Keane has been pushing harder than usual lately for everyone to attend Mass. I don’t think that’s super weird because of who she is though. She left early yesterday, so we spent the afternoon with Ms. Greene’s class.”
Hassan sat forward quickly, startling Ali slightly. “What time did she go?” Leslie’s mom was cold when he checked her for a pulse. She had to have died sometime in the early afternoon to have cooled off that much. He wouldn’t know what the window was until the report from the state police came back, but it was something. Another puzzle piece on the table.

“I still don’t understand why you wanted to draw me of all people.”
The elezen passed the time sitting about by quietly sharpening her scythe. A normally threatening looking gesture, but with how relaxed & unteased she appeared during the back-&-forth dragging of the whetstone she held, it seemed far from threatening. It was a small enough action to not disturb Kcalb’s efforts.
“I don’t seen all that interesting enough to worth putting on a canvas.”

>Oh you and whatever higher beings there were who weren't total assholes (a very low number, rest assure) know that nothing is going pull her out of denial like this, [Kan]. Ah well, her loss is the alien vampire's gain. Not to mention, the eternal pseudo night/day is young!
>Still, the porcelain one would satisfy an urge of hers of sorts. Don't mind her, just casually standing up and sliding behind where the [virgo] was sitting. Just casually ever so slightly moving her hands toward the churning beast of a belly the grey one had. Just a little, itty bitty, tiny- firmly grasping.
>surprisingly, she actually *didn't* notice the pawn sneaking around initially- fully in devour mode, kanaya was almost literally up to her eyeballs in hot, delicious breakfast meat.
>so PM would be able to pounce unmolested and unteased- which was probably for the best, because diving in from behind to grab at kanayas wobbling gut was an experience. Yes, her hands sinking into her soft grey felt like groping a cloud, but more than That- to even *reach* she would have to mash herself into kanayas fat, fat back, rolls and all- and good lord were there a lot of them.
>the early warning system of the shelf of ass bulging over the chairs let kanaya know when PM was coming in for a landing, and she perked up immediately, stopping her mad gobbling for one moment to turn her head back and try to side eye the carapacian as her face inevitably plowed into the heaving barricade of kanayas plush, doughy upper back- which, quite frankly, outsized her *actual* breasts on the other side of her body.
"Mmmm I Dunno If Youre Gonna Be Able To Get A Bite Out Of That Babe, But I Guess I Can't Stop You From Trying~" she teased, her voice low and lurid as she shook her body, sending a rolling wobble from one side to the next before turning back to her meal, letting the Prospitian have whatever way she pleases with her flab encapsulated body - she couldn't be distracted from adding more to it, after all!
