Upset.....
Tumblr media
1. Be happy with what you have, avoid comparing what others have more than you.
2. Express contentment with little and only then will you attain inner psychological peace.
3. Whether you do good to someone or not, keep yourself away from doing bad things or expecting harm from someone.
4. Apologize immediately if you realize that you have done something wrong, it is inappropriate to indulge your arrogance.

Made this painting. Took it to the monuments. Strapped it to the capitol fence (one day after white supremacists stormed it) 20+ cops tried to pin my arms behind my back, confiscated my painting. (Even flipped it over so people couldn't see my message) eventually they did let me go, but they confiscated my sign and said I could come get it from their headquarters in a week. I told them to keep it so they might remember the OATH they ALL took... They didn't laugh.
This country will literally intimidate and fuck with one lone artist, but opens the door to the capitol for white supremacists... And that speaks volumes....
Never submit to intimidation and remember to stay safe in these trying times.
I also had an interview with usa today and had "mostly" positive experiences while putting this up.

Earth’s Temperatures are Rising. It’s Time to Feel the Bern.
I’ve realized that to be an environmentalist, and really a responsible citizen, you have no choice but to get political. But I feel there is a growing stigma around political discussion; that it’s a never-ending conversation that gets us nowhere and people complain more than they plan. Perhaps that’s true in many cases. What’s worse, some may feel their voices don’t count. But if we want things to change, we have to speak up because silence equates to agreeing with the state of things. After all, we live in a democracy that was created for the people was it not? Or is it now a democracy of money? Have we forgotten that our economy was meant to serve the people, not the people serve the economy? Or should we remain silent as corporations are treated with more respect and their rights more recognized? Stand aside as their unsustainable agendas trump the comparably modest goals of the average citizen? (Get it? Trump.)
I want to take a moment here to discuss why Bernie Sanders is the only candidate whose plans and actions reflect what is needed to move forward in the name of social justice and addressing climate change. I will refrain from talking about any other candidates because let’s face it, they don’t deserve my time or energy and excuse me for saying so, but I don’t think they deserve yours.
“Bernie will always put people before polluters”
Taken straight from Bernie’s twitter, this quote sums up a crucial point in the Senator’s campaign: he is willing to fight for the common man against the top 1%. How does this relate to climate change? For far too long corporations have been given personhood, protected under the fourteenth amendment like you and I. But instead of the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, they have been given the right to the pursuit of profits above all else; profits before people, profits before the very environment that sustains us. Corporations write off any problems they may cause down the line as externalities, including both present and future environmental costs. How can they make products using cheaper, unsustainable materials? How low can they make wages? How can they flood the public with advertisements meant to make us buy ever more things we don’t need? The scariest part of the situation is how invested in our government the corporations are, especially the oil and coal industry.
“We need a political revolution.”
Which is why we need a complete overhaul of the political system. Time to upset the setup. How can we trust a system where the very people we choose to represent us instead listen to the fossil fuel industry who spends billions lobbying in congress and throws millions at candidates in federal campaign contributions. It is remarkable that Bernie has financed his campaign only by the people, which means we can trust that he is for the people. As a result he’s not afraid to cut subsidies from the fossil fuel industry and ban sketchy lobbyists from the Whitehouse who are too close for comfort.
“This is a national crisis. And I talk to scientists who tell me that fracking is doing terrible things to water systems all over this country. We have gotta be bold now. We gotta transform our energy system to energy efficiency and sustainable energy. We’ve gotta do it yesterday.”
In regards to climate change, Senator Sanders understands that simply installing solar panels and and switching to so called “cleaner” fuels doesn’t go far enough, treating the symptoms rather than the system. We have to get closer to the root of the problem which means getting special interests out of the government so that climate change can finally be given the priority it deserves and we can invest in completely new forms of energy that have no ties to fossil fuels. Bernie knows the urgency with which this problem needs to be addressed if we are to keep the Earth’s temperature from rising more than 2 degrees in the coming years, which would mean certain calamity. Notably, Sanders also recognizes that it is the vulnerable of society who will be affected most. He, unlike his other candidates, plans to create a “national environmental and climate justice plan that recognizes the heightened public health risks faced by low-income and minority communities.”
“And when millions of people stand up and tell the fossil fuel industry that their profits, their short-term profits are less significant than the long-term health of this planet, we will win. That is the way change always takes place.”
Bernie Sanders is above all humble. He addresses the fact that one man and one man’s presidency cannot bring about complete transformational change within a country. But it’s a start. It’s up to the people to elect a leader who will unite us in addressing climate change so that we may be more resilient and less passive. We must not let anyone divide us. In this crucial election we must all stand together.

No violence. Education and knowledge on how the world is moving. Do yourself a favor and understand human right and Liberty is way more important than materialistic things and greed. In 50 years this world won't be like this and I'll do my part to make sure. We have to understand that it doesn't have to be this way. Keep spreading love and be firm demanding proper treatment. Demonstrate it by leading by example. ✊🏿 #riseabove #upsetthesetup

This post really got my blood boiling...
Here's my response:
Ditto, Katina! Follow this advice to "create a strong and lasting relationship..." Um, thanks but no thanks for the misguided and misogynistic roadmap. Even if we could extract the inherently gendered bias at the core of this article, I doubt the remains would be emblematic of the selflessness of true, albeit imperfect love. Instead this article more aptly panders to our societal expectations that women continuously find ways to keep their men/lovers/partners in lust with them. Now, this is fine and dandy in and of itself since lust falls within the range of human sexuality and serves as a very real, powerful catalyst for many relationships. However, these types of lists give the guise of seeking to empower women by revealing an inside view of the everyman's immutable desires. Sadly, much of this piece perpetuates gendered notions of the hyper-sexualized, emotionally unavailable (or rather emotionally amoebic in his simplicity) man and his henpecking, yet ever-acquiescing and desperately eager to please girlfriend. Masculinity and femininity are NOT monolithic. Although I know it was not your intent to propagate these tired tropes, by suggesting that these blanket statements can serve as advice for anyone (regardless of their gender) debases the beautiful complexities that make romantic relationships worthwhile.
