"Where was the center for medieval ginger trade and what was ginger famous for, especially during the Christmas season?" (From "Christmas & Holiday Trivia: Volume 1 & Volume 2") Answer: Nuremberg, famous for gingerbread cakes, cookies, and shaped ornaments, and ginger was used to treat gas, hangovers, stomach disorders and as a preservative, and to flavor food. Even today, ginger is often recommended to help with motion sickness, nausea and vomiting as well as stomach upset, bloating and intestinal gas. Thus, it has been said to help the stomach, intestines, brain and even nervous system. Containing antioxidants, ginger helps to manage free radicals and aids the liver in detoxing. @hminutritionschool we learn that Ginger, as an essential oil, is even helpful for third chakra imbalances, due to the connection between the solar plexus and the digestive system. Imbalances in this third chakra manifest in the physical body as a wide range of digestive issues, like constipation, diarrhea, ulcers, diabetes, stomach, intestinal, and liver problems. Ginger can be consumed as a flavoring, and in teas, syrups, capsules, liquid extracts, and applied as topical gels, ointments and essential oils. Be sure to speak with your doctor or a healthcare provider to confirm what type of ginger and dose might be best for your specific condition and health situation. Commanders Get Sick Too
Chapter 3: Bed Time
After about another minute or two, Erwin had stopped convulsing and was panting. He heard the toilet flush and then felt two arms wrap around his stomach and a soft pair of lips press into the crook of his neck. "You want me to rub your stomach? It'll probably make you feel better." Levi suggested and placed another kiss into the crook of the blonde's neck. Erwin smiled, then groaned slightly from a small wave of nausea. "That would be nice," "Okay, show me where it hurts," Levi said. Erwin took one of Levi's hands in his and gently guided it to the middle of his stomach. Levi gently started massaging the area that his hand had been guided to, causing Erwin to let out a sigh. "That feel better?" Levi asked. "Yeah...thank you," he whispered. Levi continued to gently massage Erwin's upset stomach. He did this for roughly half an hour. He then looked up and saw that Erwin was lightly snoozing. "Erwin, hey...wake up, Erwin," Levi said quietly while he gently nudged the larger man, "Hmm...?" he mumbled groggily. "It's getting late, we both need to go to bed," Levi said. It took a few seconds, then Erwin got up off the bathroom floor, with Levi's help. "Woah there, easy now," Levi muttered. Erwin had his right arm slung over Levi's shoulder, leaning slightly on the smaller brunette as they both slowly walked into the commander's private quarters. When they both got to the bed, Erwin collapsed onto the soft mattress. Levi tugged both the blonde's boots off and removed his bolo tie, then pulled the covers up to Erwin's neck and brushed the hair out of his face. Levi walked up to the door of Erwin's private quarters and began to step out. "Levi..." A voice stopped him. He turned to see Erwin now sitting up in bed. "What's wrong?" he asked and walked back over to the bed. "Can you..." he faltered, blushing slightly, "Can you please stay?" Levi smiled slightly and nodded, "Of course I will," He then slipped off his boots and untied his cravat, laying it right next to Erwin's bolo tie, before climbing into bed with the blonde. They both snuggled close to each other, with Levi cradling Erwin close to him as he peppered his blonde hair with kisses. Erwin yawned and wrapped his arms around Levi. "I guess you're feeling better now, huh?" Levi asked with a hint of amusement. "Mm...not quite..." Erwin mumbled as he partially buried his face in Levi's chest. Both men eventually dropped off to sleep, basking in each other's warmth and safety.

What is Vitamin B12
Tumblr media
B12 Vitamin - The Essential Nutrient for Optimal Health B12 Vitamin, also known as cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in the proper functioning of the nervous system, the production of red blood cells, and the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. It is one of the eight essential B vitamins and is required in small amounts to maintain good health. In this article, we will explore the benefits, food sources, and potential risks associated with B12 Vitamin. What are the Benefits of B12 Vitamin? - Supports Brain and Nervous System Functioning: B12 Vitamin is essential for the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system. It helps to maintain the myelin sheath, a protective covering on nerve fibres that ensures the smooth transmission of nerve impulses. A deficiency in B12 Vitamin can lead to neurological symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and memory loss. - Reduces Risk of Anemia: B12 Vitamin is necessary for the production of red blood cells. It works together with folate to ensure that the body has enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen to the organs and tissues. A deficiency in B12 Vitamin can lead to a condition called megaloblastic anemia, which is characterized by the production of abnormally large and immature red blood cells. - Promotes Energy Production: B12 Vitamin is essential for the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, which are the primary sources of energy for the body. It helps to convert food into glucose, which is then used by the cells to produce energy. A deficiency in B12 Vitamin can lead to fatigue, weakness, and poor endurance. What are the Food Sources of B12 Vitamin? B12 Vitamin is naturally found in animal products such as meat, fish, poultry, eggs, and dairy products. Vegetarians and vegans are at a higher risk of B12 Vitamin deficiency as they do not consume these animal products. However, they can obtain B12 Vitamin from foods that are fortified with it, such as cereals, plant-based milk, and nutritional yeast. Supplements are also available in the form of tablets, capsules, or injections. What are the Potential Risks of B12 Vitamin? B12 Vitamin is generally considered to be safe for most people when taken in recommended doses. However, excessive consumption of supplements can lead to potential risks such as: - Skin Rash: Some people may develop a skin rash after taking B12 Vitamin supplements. This is usually a mild and temporary side effect that may resolve on its own. - Upset Stomach: B12 Vitamin supplements can cause an upset stomach, diarrhoea, or constipation in some people. This can be avoided by taking the supplement with food. - Allergic Reactions: In rare cases, some people may develop an allergic reaction to B12 Vitamin supplements. Symptoms may include itching, swelling, and difficulty breathing. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately. Conclusion B12 Vitamin is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in the proper functioning of the nervous system, the production of red blood cells, and the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. It is important to ensure that you get enough B12 Vitamin by consuming a balanced diet that includes animal products, or by taking supplements if necessary. Consult with your healthcare provider before starting any supplement regimen to avoid potential risks. Stay healthy and happy by including B12 Vitamin in your diet! If you're a gassy person, listen to me at least this once i beg. It took me 18 years and outside forces to realize this, but there are literally yoga positions you can do to alleviate gas pressure and pain as well as get it out.
(Consider also, you might not realize you have food allergies)
The two most helpful poses for me personally are
#1 get on your elbows and knees and arching your back (butt towards the sky, squeezing my abs tends to help me)
#2 lay on your back and lift your legs, bent at the knee. Hold the bottoms of your feet towards the middle and gently pull your legs in towards you keeping your knees bent forward.
#3 this one also works somewhat for constipation, starting about two inches from your right hip bone, use the heel of your hand to press firmly down and move it upwards to just under your ribs, move across the abdomen in a straight line to about the nip line and go down once again, this time at the hips moving diagonally to the middle and down

1. Be happy with what you have, avoid comparing what others have more than you.
2. Express contentment with little and only then will you attain inner psychological peace.
3. Whether you do good to someone or not, keep yourself away from doing bad things or expecting harm from someone.
4. Apologize immediately if you realize that you have done something wrong, it is inappropriate to indulge your arrogance.

When I'm sick and have a really sore throat, I like to eat soft things that are either really warm or really cold because they feel good on my throat. Also, when I'm sick, my stomach usually doesn't feel that great, even if it's not a stomach virus, so I also tend to eat things that are easy on my stomach.
So, I've compiled a list of things I like that meet those criteria for those of you who may need it, and feel free to add your own ideas.
Warm Things:
-Chicken soup (I like Progresso and Lipton noodle soup) -Chicken broth -Apple cider -Raspberry tea -Hot chocolate -Mashed potatoes (instant ones are great if you don't feel like making homemade and they come in several flavors; I love the sour cream and chive) -Scrambled eggs -Buttered noodles with a little parmesan or sour cream -Grits with a little cheddar cheese
Cold Things:
-Vanilla pudding -Ice cream -Apple juice -Cold grapes

Natural Powerful Remedy for Nausea
youtube
Feeling Queasy? 🤢 This $1 Kitchen Staple is Nature's Cure for Nausea!
Ugh, that nauseous feeling has got you down, doesn't it? 😖 Don't reach for medication just yet - there's a powerful natural remedy in your very own kitchen that can settle your upset stomach fast.
The secret ingredient? Good old ginger! 🍵 This vibrant root contains a compound called gingerol that has amazing anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory effects. It's like a soothing hug for your tummy.
Simply grate some fresh ginger and steep it in hot water for a few minutes. Or just grab a ginger tea bag - you can even add a touch of honey and lemon for extra flavour and calming benefits. 🍋
The warmth of the tea can help relax your stomach muscles, while ginger's distinct aroma may help overcome feelings of nausea from morning sickness, motion sickness, or even chemotherapy treatments.
Ginger tea is safe for most people, though you'll want to start slow with just 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger per cup until you know how your body reacts.
The next time nausea strikes, skip the drugstore and head to your kitchen instead. A soothing cup of ginger tea could be the natural solution to have you feeling better in no time! 🙌
