I had no idea you were a writer or that you were irish as well. I followed you for yer info on swords and was pleasantly surprised to learn that. That's cool.

Besides my own stuff, for a couple of years after 1987 I was the only Irish writer to have written for Star Trek - “The Romulan Way” with Diane (on our honeymoon, long story) then “Rules of Engagement” by myself.

I was told, some years ago, that several incidents from RoE were cited in a paper on “effective management in a disparate working environment”. Since a couple of those incidents involved the Klingon characters, I’m not sure whether to be complimented or concerned about what that writer was taking away from my work... :->

ahhh! I’m so sorry! I watched it on the Adult Swim site like everybody else I think, but if you search around you might be able to find it? probably in lower quality but the internet works fast. I’m so sorry I couldn’t help more! It looks like it’s not on watchcartoononline yet (which is usually my go-to when im being a bad kid and streaming haha) but keep an eye out! 

And make sure to watch when it airs to give them views if you can! ;D

Gramps looks like some cyberpunk hippie from the 70's that knows too much about what the CIA is hiding from the public and a world wide conspiracy that has the world's leaders at the mercy of a woman with a stockpile of the rarest material known to man. He probably has half a dozen eco friendly underground bunkers scattered across the US and a decked out RV. Also aliens are real man!

Hi lying. where can I watch this Johnathan Strange series?

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell was a 7-episode BBC adaptation of the story by Susanna Clarke in 2015. It was for a time on BBC IPlayer as a result, but only temporarily. Nowadays you can only really find it on DVD (available on Amazon and totally worth it) or by certain streaming services of questionable legality which I naturally wouldn’t know anything about, no sir-ee.

decided to redraw some of the hand and arm sketches i had in my notebooks on Photoshop with my new brush and have my sister review them when I was done.

I failed my first assessment at uni, bc they kept saying “the exact way to structure it is written in the (uni) Handbook, you should know this” which they refused to give a physical copy of, and the only link to it always 404′d anyone who tried to use it. Very frustrating.

When it came to the first Residential, I actually shared accommodation with a 2nd year student, lovely older lady who offered to look over the assessment (it was wk3 first semester, first year btw) and see if she could tell what went wrong (no feedback from lecturers made it hard to know why).

She flat-out explained what they were after, gave me a copy of an assessment she had on her and showed all the basic formatting we were supposed to know from the handbook. even not having something specific in the headers and footers was a heck of a mark down, they were finnicky (lot of people failed that one though, I’d like to say)

The writing structure and info were sound, it just had been formatted wrong.

Never failed another assessment, lmao.

So when I was asked to be a student mentor, in Second year (and no one told me we could have those??? it would have made life so much fucking easier???) the first thing I did was tell my like, 8 student mentees about formatting your fucking assessments, and where to find things, and made sure their hard-to-find-online-forms were completed and processed, before term 1 began

not exciting info, but like, if you’re going to uni and you can’t get your hands on a fucking handbook with the Rules of Formatting Assessments in it? Demand a mentor, or find a second year. They Know.

Yeah, it’s a shame about Lutel. They made nice-looking stuff and I’ve got a never-fulfilled wishlistfile of pics from “The Old Days” (lutel.cz).

It’s a bigger shame about what happened when the company split apart.

According to my bookmarks, while Lutel-Handicraft.com is gone Lutel.eu remains on-line, with plenty of (familiar) pictures; however I’ve also bookmarked three conversations on MyArmoury.com.

This final link (2019) isn’t from my bookmarks and the last entry shows you’re already familiar with it :-) so I’m guessing you’ve read the other three as well, but I’m posting all of them as a heads-up.

Thanks! I’m a writer as well as an artist, which means I have a lot of time to myself to ponder useless subjects. I’m just too lazy/distracted to actually take the plunge and type out full stories. I’d rather draw.

If fiction-inclined people who like this stuff want to use them as subjects of stories, though, you can feel free! Just let me know so I can read it!!!!
