A been a long time coming, but I finally made something I've been wanting to make for a long time. This is the 2nd UTAU I've finished and publicly released, but this time I'm going to stick by it with more banks and more updates eventually.

i recently released two utau vbs

脳 - a 4-pitch power vcv + a softer falsetto-like pitch

死 - a 4-pitch dark vcv

the download includes zips for installing in OpenUtau and a combined version specifically for VoiceColor use in OpenUtau.

i worked on these for about a year and a half and was planning on releasing a third natural toned vb (body/躯) as well but never found recording time for it….

i did the photoshoot in my garage in july of 2021… covered my face in lipstick and vaseline, doused my hair with water and tried to make the best of it….

my original idea was called “Aquarius” and it was a combination thematically of constellations and astrology but also ghostly, abyssal zone creatures, and the oppressiveness of the deep ocean…. it was going to be very green and murky and velvety and magpie would have been this cosmic eve-like alien fish-mother….unfortunately this was too hard and i changed my mind.

brain/(body)/death instead is about my own fear of disembodiment and not being in total control of myself at all times…. its about a kind of phasing in and out of whether i felt like i was real or not at the time and being unable to put a name to depersonalization….

Important Announcement!! (Website & VB distribution)

Hello! This post is about important updates about our website and the future of our voicebanks.

As you know, we work along Nihilium Wave (formerly known as Altericide), and we are under Nexys4t's management, wich leads our creator and owner to having to manage several different website for each UTAU that belongs to any project of ours.

This was extremely anxiety inducing due to the absurd ammount of voices that both projects had, and many users had to ask for a full list of the UTAUs since they were not in the same place...

So we decided to merge all of our websites into one!

Sacrificing our characteristic green aero-styled website was becoming a burden as more and more UTAUs used specific colors for their pages: The website took way too long to load. The same thing happened with Nihilium Wave's website.

We decided to mantain the Aero theme and work as official maked distributors of the voicebanks. The old websites will still be up for archive purposes.

Of course changing websites means that we have to be very careful with our voicebanks being mantained correctly...

But there's a problem then. The UTAUs we have all the groups together is absurdly big... And not all of them will recieve updates.

So here is a list of what Voicebanks will you be able to find and wich ones are they.

Active: Voicebanks that recieve updates and are in continuous development. (Glucagon, AZOA, Captain Papers, Megumi Haretsu, Liam Haretsu, AC)

Legacy: Voicebanks that might still recieve support but are unlikely to be updated with as much frequence as Active. (Heccan, Caché Völatta, Slice, MEAST, Elzro)

Archive: Won't be updated. (Bakira)

Private: Voicebanks that will stay for Private usage or recieve one update then become Archive or Legacy. Some of them might be released under a password. (Undefined yet) (PresetSYNTH, Lasche/Nezvatch, SourSplats - 4vbs, CyberSynth - 2 vb, ZOLA-like 3vbs, Salmon Project - 3vbs, Vact, Nayela Aakiri, Mikchael, Acht Haretsu)

Unreleased / WIP: Voicebanks that are not yet released but are in development. (LÍDEM, Nerzvax, Luz, NW, Morpho Morphae, SC-122-Sonia, Chromoid)

The website will have a list separated in those categories in the Voice section.

As well, you will have noticed that only one voice is avalaible at the moment: Glucagon.

This is because we have to manually change ALL the readme & character files as well as the .yaml and other features from the voicebanks such as broken links, updating the upload links in whatever social media they have... etc.

So we will be gradually adding them and including a disclaimer pop-up in their sites that links to the new site.

The character pages gives a screen of full data from the character, including their basic Profile, Miscellaneous data such as extras or relationships, a full Gallery of official artwork and a Credits page.

If you scroll down, you can see the avalaible voicebanks that are up for download for each UTAU and the basic UTAU / OpenUTAU demos, as well as a list of other Demo songs made with the avalaible softwares for each voicebank.

There is also the Terms of Use page, wich lists the "generic terms of use" that apply to all of our UTAUs. However, the Specific Terms of Use that can be applied to some UTAUs have a preference over the generic terms of use.

Please make sure to follow them all as it is advised

We will be adding a Resource Page as well as some other stuff and UTAUs when the time comes. As well, we might need to make new demo reels for our UTAUs.

An Utau cover of Iriya Iriya (2024 remake) Featuring: Denki Sai!

“Originally for Denki Sai / Galvan Ize 11th Anniversary back on May 14th. The song was part of Denki Sai's very first voicebank release demo reel. You can still view the 2013 version of Iriya Iriya on YouTube, though I rarely look back at my old work. This cover mostly showcases Denki's flux (F3), core (B3), and surge (A4) pitches within the PROOF voicebank. Surge had been previously glitchy, unstable, and unusable, so I very recently re-recorded it. Many thanks to Maiden for the electrifying video. ” -Stelyos

Fuwa Maria AI & Fuwa Mario AI for DiffSinger Progress Report (March 2024)

As of last month, I have dedicated my spare time to developing DiffSinger voicebanks, and it's safe to say that I've made a lot of progress in doing so. Also Maria and Mario's 9th anniversary is fast approaching, so I think it's about time I get around to making the art for it.

I think at this point, I may get around to releasing my DiffSinger voicebanks at around the 2nd to 3rd quarters of this year, depending on if everything goes smoothly as planned - and I have a demo reel and release video planned. But as usual, the bulk of this report will be under the cut!

Voicebank Progress

Fuwa Maria AI

So far, Maria's DiffSinger voicebank has been trained up to 108k steps variance and 134k steps acoustic! However, I intend to train it further to 125k steps variance and 150k acoustic to ensure more quality output, provided that it doesn't start to overtrain before that.

She sounds pretty good for the most part! I figured that at this point, her Spectre vocal mode is more of a calm singing voice, and that her Lapse vocal mode is more of a lively singing voice - but their expressiveness can be increased with the tension parameter, which I tend to abuse a lot.

I do have a sample of Maria's earlier DiffSinger build which the acoustic model was trained at 82k, but it is a complete improvement over her previous build from last month. Once I further train her voicebank, I will post another sample with a teaser of her new design!

Fuwa Mario AI

I managed to train Mario's variance model to 108k, but like with Maria, I will train it even further. As of writing this post, his acoustic model has been trained up to 30k steps, and I'll probably end up using all of my Google accounts to keep training given Colab is stingy with free resources and what not.

I don't have much to say for him yet as I don't have a workable voicebank to use, but expect a sample in the next couple of weeks or so! I just hope he sounds different from Maria...

I went through many design concepts but I think I managed to come up with something for once 😭 I can't say anything just yet BUT I am happy with how it's turning out.

There are still a bit of artworks I want to finish up (including a speedpaint I've yet to upload and the 9th anniversary art) before I start working on the fullbodies.

Profiles

Still have a vague idea for Maria and Mario's character profiles, but the gist is that they're older versions of their UTAU counterparts, and I'd imagine that their mental/physical age would be at least 22 years old or something. I guess that's that...for now.
