पोखू देवता मंदिर उत्तरकाशी उत्तरकाशी जिले के सीमांत विकासखंड मोरी में एक ऐसा मंदिर है, जहां देवता के दर्शन करना वर्जित है। मंदिर का पुजारी भी देवता की ओर पीठ करके पूजा करता है। यह मंदिर पोखू देवता का है। इसके प्रति गांव सहित क्षेत्र के लोगों की अटूट श्रद्धा है। इसे लोग न्याय के देवता के रूप में पूजा करते हैं। उत्तरकाशी से 160 किमी की दूरी पर हिमाचल प्रदेश की सीमा से लगे मोरी विकासखंड के नैटवाड़ गांव में पोखू देवता का प्राचीन मंदिर स्थित है। इन्हें इस क्षेत्र का राजा माना जाता है। क्षेत्र के प्रत्येक गांव में दरांतियों और चाकुओं के रूप में देवता की पूजा की जाती है। कहा जाता है कि देवता का मुंह पाताल में और कमर का ऊपर का हिस्सा धरती पर है। ये उल्टे हैं और नग्नावस्था मे हैं। इस हालत में इन्हें देखना अशिष्टता है। इसलिए लोग इनकी ओर पीठ करके पूजा करते हैं। मान्यता है कि क्षेत्र में यदि किसी भी प्रकार की विपत्ति या संकट आये तो पोखू देवता गांव के लोगों की मदद करते हैं। जून व अगस्त के माह में क्षेत्र के लोगों की ओर से भव्य मेले का आयोजन किया जाता है। पोखू देवता को लोग न्याय के रूप में भी पूजा करते हैं। इसी विशेषताओं के साथ पोखू देवता का मंदिर एक तीर्थ के रूप में प्रसिद्ध है जो सैलानियों के लिए आकर्षण का केन्द्र बना हुआ है। मान्यता है कि पोखू देवता को कर्ण का प्रतिनिधि और भगवान शिव का सेवक माना गया। जिनका स्वरूप डरावना और अपने अनुयायिओं के प्रति कठोर स्वभाव का था। इसी कारण क्षेत्र में चोरी व क्रूर अपराध करने से लोग आज भी डरते हैं। . जुड़िये अपने उत्तराखंड से अपने पहाड़ से जय देवभूमि जय उत्तराखंड 💫Vivid⚡️✨Uttarakhand✨ . उत्तराखंड के रुद्रप्रयाग जिले से 38 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर कनक चौरी गाँव में स्थित है कार्तिक स्वामी मंदिर. भगवान शिव के ज्येष्ठ पुत्र कार्तिकेय को समर्पित इस मंदिर तक कनक चौरी गाँव से 3 किलोमीटर पैदल एक सुंदर कच्चे ट्रैक से होते हुए पहुँचा जा सकता है. इस ट्रैक के दोनों ओर खूबसूरत बाँज के जंगल, बुराँश के पेड़ व पक्षियों का कलरव आपकी यात्रा में इतनी सुगमता व मनोरमता भर देता है कि पता ही नहीं चलता कब आप हिमालय की गोद में स्थित क्रौंच पर्वत पर बसे इस मंदिर के आहाते तक पहुँच जाते हैं। कार्तिक स्वामी मंदिर समुद्रतल से 3048 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है जहाँ से मौसम साफ होने पर हिमालय की तमाम चोटियों जैसे चौखंबा, मद्यमहेश्वर, केदार पर्वत, मेरु-सुमेरु पर्वत, त्रिशूल, पंचाचूली, नीलकंठ, नंदा देवी, कामेट, नंदाघुंटी, रुद्रनाथ, दूनागिरी, कौसानी आदि का चौतरफा खूबसूरत नजारा देखते ही बनता है. कहते हैं इस मंदिर से हिमालय की लगभग 80 प्रतिशत चोटियाँ साफ नजर आती हैं। पौराणिक कथानुसार एक बार भगवान शिव ने अपने दोनों पुत्रों की परीक्षा लेने के उद्देश्य से उनसे कहा कि दोनों में से जो भी सबसे पहले ब्रह्माण्ड का चक्कर लगाकर वापस आएगा उसकी पूजा समस्त देवी-देवताओं में सबसे पहले की जाएगी. कार्तिकेय तो ब्रह्माण्ड का चक्कर लगाने चले गए लेकिन गणेश ने माता पार्वती व पिता शंकर के चारों ओर चक्कर लगा माता-पिता से कहा कि मेरे लिए तो आप ही पूरा ब्रह्माण्ड है इसलिए आपके चक्कर लगाना ब्रह्माण्ड के चक्कर लगाने के बराबर ही है. गणेश की इस बुद्धिमत्ता से प्रसन्न भगवान शंकर ने उन्हें अपने वचनानुसार वरदान दिया कि किसी भी शुभ कार्य से पहले समस्त देवी-देवताओं के इतर सबसे पहले गणेश की पूजा की जाएगी. स्वयं को हारा हुआ देखकर कार्तिकेय क्रुद्ध हो गए और अपने शरीर का माँस माता-पिता के चरणों में समर्पित कर स्वयं हड्डियों का ढाँचा लेकर क्रौंच पर्वत चले गए. कहते हैं भगवान कार्तिकेय की ये हड्डियाँ आज भी मंदिर में मौजूद हैं जिनकी पूजा करने लाखों भक्त हर साल कार्तिक स्वामी आते हैं। .
