Some android models definitely have infrared cameras, which makes them see for example when infrared sensors are at work as well as also see through some materials that infrared light can penetrate, like plastic. I don't think it's something all androids have despite it being a fairly cheap feature, like I don't think household androids like Kara do, but it can be handy for some specialised workers models, such as the ones Markus converts during the Capitol Park chapter in order to get access to what they're fixing to disable security.
Let me speculate and headcanon here that Luther, as a specialised worker of unknown original purpose, belongs to those models too and has infrared vision. Which means, he can instantly see the difference in how androids look as opposed to humans. Which would explain how He was able to instantly see that Alice is an android whereas as Kara couldn't do the same and saw her exactly as she'd have seen a human.
I think this headcanon works really nicely.

I IZ BACK HOME
I got WOOL and WOOL *LOCKS* and a PRETTY HORN NEEDLE and also A PRETTY HORN. JUST AN ENTIRE (smol) SHOOP HORN
(yes Perco decided that the singular of "sheep" should be "shoop" because it's way funnier to say. can't disagree with that :p )
All things considered, I was super reasonable on the Wooly side of things. Didn't even insist to go see *the museum* that's probably the Main Point of the shop. … I did however reattach the Thing between the pedal and wheel axis of a (very old and very pretty) spinning wheel that was sitting in a corner, and a staff member saw my Satisfaction Smile ad smiled in return. Such a nice smol moment ^^
I'm still recovering from all the Walking and Stuff, so I haven't even touched my case since I set it in a corner yesterday, but as soon as i empty it this afternoon I will Make and Post Pictures +_+

Hmmm I wonder if one could do an abstract representation of the Bug Ferret darkvision by using purple as a stand-in for heat. Like say freezing is black/dark gray, blindingly hot is white, and then cool to warm is varying shades of violet and magenta respectively.

so i DID rest.
but i also baked cookies and slightly rearranged my kitchen, cleaned my living room and did laundry, played mtg and started watching a documentary on octopuses (and also rewatched an episode of tos for comfort)
i took it easy though so in all, despite biology trying to bring me to my knees, it was a pretty good day.

A Complete Guide to Water Filter Systems for Homes and the Role of Purification Membranes
Tumblr media
Water is an essential need, but access to clean and safe drinking water is becoming more and more difficult. Whether it is industrial pollution, aging infrastructure, polluted sources, or anything of the sort, ensuring that the water that flows into your home is free from contaminants is more important now than ever. This is the place for home water filter systems and advanced membranes to purify water. These technologies not only enhance the taste and quality of your water but also protect the health of your family from dangerous contamination.
Why Every Household Needs a Water Filter System
Tap water is not as clean as it seems, but in fact, carries a concoction of impurities such as chlorine, lead, bacteria, pesticides, and other dissolved solids. The home Water Filter System for House is a protection against such potential threats. The right system can filter aside most contaminants and provide clean water for drinking, cooking, and even bathing. There are advantages to having a Water Filter System for House installed. It cuts reliance on bottled water which is expensive and destructive to the environment.
Understanding the Types of Home Water Filter Systems
When it comes to residential use, there are a number of water filtration systems to choose from that are all intended for targeting various impurities while each system comes with its own unique benefits.
Activated Carbon Filters: These are usually used in removing chlorine, bad taste, and odor. They are perfect for enhancing the taste and odor of tap water.
Reverse Osmosis Systems: These systems are very efficient, whereby they use a semi-permeable membrane to eliminate dissolved solids, heavy metals, and even viruses and bacteria. They are commonly placed under a sink or as a whole-house option.
UV Purifiers: Ultraviolet light is applied in these systems to kill harmful microbes in water. They are normally complemented by other filtration systems for the multi-layered approach.
Whole-House Filtration Systems: Installed on the principal water line leading into the home, they supply filtered water at each tap. They are particularly valuable in locations where there is hard water or a high amount of sediment.
The Core Technology: Water Purification Membranes
The center of most high-tech water purification systems is water purification membranes. These membranes are the key barrier that divides pure water from impurities. They function on the principle of selective permeability, which lets water molecules through but not unwanted material.
Some common types of membranes utilized in water purification are:
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membranes: The most commonly employed in residential use and commercial buildings. RO membranes have the potential to eliminate between 99% of dissolved salt, bacteria, and other impurities, effectively making them among the best choices for cleaning up tap or well water.
Nanofiltration Membranes: These work in much the same way as RO membranes but permit certain minerals to pass through. They are well suited to situations where the total removal of all dissolved solids is not required or is not desirable.
Ultrafiltration (UF) Membranes: These membranes can remove bacteria and larger impurities but leave minerals behind. They are commonly used in conjunction with other purification systems.
Microfiltration Membranes: These are usually employed as a pre-treatment measure, eliminating bigger particles such as sediment and suspended solids prior to the water being subjected to additional purification.
Choosing the Right Water Filter System with the Right Membrane
Picking the perfect Water Filter System for House depends on your water quality and your particular purification requirements. Begin by having a water test conducted to determine impurities such as chlorine, lead, arsenic, nitrates, and microbial contaminants. According to the results, you can select a system with the correct filtration technology and membrane material.
Conclusion
A reliable water filter system for house, powered by advanced water purification membranes, is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity for healthy living. Whether you choose a simple under-sink filter or a comprehensive whole-house system, investing in clean water is one of the best decisions you can make for your family's health and safety.
At Primem, we emphasize the importance of high-quality filtration systems tailored to your unique water challenges. With the right system in place, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that every drop of water in your home is pure, clean, and safe.

6 Reasons Why You Need a Fresh Air UV Air Filter
Indoor air quality can significantly impact your health, comfort, and overall well-being, yet many people overlook it. Dust, allergens, bacteria, and even harmful pathogens often thrive in the air you breathe. Without proper filtration, these invisible contaminants can accumulate, exacerbating allergies or respiratory issues. This is where advanced solutions come into play. Installing a fresh air UV air filter in Fredericksburg, TX, not only improves air quality but also promotes healthier living by reducing harmful particles effectively.
1. Eliminates Harmful Pathogens
UV air filters use ultraviolet light to neutralize harmful bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms. This advanced technology prevents the spread of illnesses and creates a cleaner environment. Unlike traditional methods, UV filtration actively disrupts the DNA of airborne pathogens, rendering them harmless and significantly lowering the risk of infections.
2. Reduces Allergens and Irritants
Pollen, dust mites, and pet dander are common indoor allergens that can cause severe discomfort, especially for those with allergies or asthma. UV air filters trap and neutralize these particles, creating an allergen-free space. Investing in quality filtration helps you avoid symptoms like itchy eyes, sneezing, or difficulty breathing.
3. Enhances HVAC Efficiency
A clean air system has the added benefit of boosting your HVAC unit's performance. By trapping dust and debris that could clog your system, UV air filters allow for smoother airflow and lower energy consumption. This can extend the life of your heating and cooling system while reducing expensive utility bills. Proper maintenance, combined with upgraded insulation in Fredericksburg, TX, further enhances overall efficiency.
4. Improves Sleep Quality
Quality sleep often depends on your environment, including the air you breathe overnight. Polluted air filled with allergens or unpleasant odors can disrupt your rest. A UV air filter purifies the air, fostering a cleaner and more comfortable sleep atmosphere. This change contributes to better health and increased energy levels throughout the day.
5. Neutralizes Odors
Cooking smells, chemicals, or pet odors can linger in your home, often making the air unpleasant. UV air filtration systems tackle these unwanted smells by breaking down the particles causing them. Enjoy a fresher, more inviting indoor space with filters that keep unpleasant odors at bay.
6. Protects Vulnerable Individuals
The elderly, children, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions are especially susceptible to poor air quality. A UV air filter provides an added layer of protection by reducing harmful particulates and pollutants in the air, giving reassurance that your household is breathing cleaner and safer air at all times.
A high-quality UV air filter offers numerous health and comfort benefits for homes and businesses alike. It neutralizes harmful particles, improves HVAC function, and fosters a healthier living environment. Paired with improved insulation, it supports both efficiency and cleaner air for your space. With these benefits, it’s clear that upgrading your filtration system is a smart, long-term investment.

Yellow, yellow, different yellow. The ultraviolet component of neon colors doesn't reproduce well because it's a color that you can sorta-kinda perceive, but unless the screen it's on is capable of emitting that frequency (it probably isn't) or, if it's physical reproducing, they actually used pigment that reflects UV properly, it's not gonna look right.
Digitally neon yellow usually comes across as super bright, super saturated yellow-green. The ultraviolet tips the yellow further from the red end of the spectrum and just a bit into green, since what you're seeing is a combination of light that's yellow + a shade beyond purple that itself looks a little greenish if you can see it at all (rather like magenta, neon colors technically aren't 'real' since they're only produced by multiple wavelengths at once hitting your retina and there is no 'pure' frequency that will make, for example, being yellow). It's just that display and color space standards don't include colors that we mostly don't perceive.

Vintage lenses
I just received some old lenses and two older Nikon 35mm film cameras. The lenses are all Nikkors, and the oldest produced from 1965 as the first F model. A classic, also referred to as “dream lens”, is the Nikkor 55mm f/1.2. It´s known for its ultra-fast aperture and unique optical characteristics. It was designed for the Nikon F-mount and later updated to AI (Automatic Indexing from 1977). It´s…
