you know how the fic of icarus returning to lodestar grove have vaeh and cari as little kids? i raise you- icarus returning when cari’s 14-16 and vaeh’s an adult and just finding icarus somewhere. cue the angst of one of them finding them and not knowing what the hell happened and being so fucking cautious

Vaeh somehow gets to the sculk reset and finds the past versions of her parents + pregod Centross in Morningstar castle

Vaeh wandered through the village of snow, she had gotten very lost and accidentally gone through some sort of portal. She spotted a castle on a hill and decided that's where she was going to go.

She got to the door and peeked in. She spotted someone who looked like her papa! Except his wings were wrong.

“Wolf there's a kid-” a man who looked kind of like Violet said. Not-Papa or Wolf looked over and spotted her.

“Oh hello what's your name?” Wolf asked, crouching down closer to Vaehs height.

“Im Vaeh! Vaeh Orchid Nightingstar!” Vaeh said, bouncing on the balls of her paws.

“That's a really pretty name kiddo, are you alone out here?” Wolf asked. Vaeh looked out the door and nodded.

“Got lost an sent through a portal,” Vaeh mumbled, fidgeting with her hands.

“Aww it's okay kiddo, we'll find you parents,” Wolf comforted.

Vaeh looked up at him, “you look like my papa but wrong,” she said.

Centross laughed, “What's the difference between Wolf and your papa kid?”

“My papa doesn't wear a mask and and he has has yellow wings!”

“Centross what's going on up here?” another voice asked. When the person appeared Vaeh had to stop herself from flinging herself on the man. He looked so much like her dad. Except this man had an antler and looked slightly younger. And less purple.

“You look like my dad,” she said before she could think.

“Kiddo, who are your parents?” Wolf asked, glancing at Rae.

“Uhhh my papas name is Fenris and my dads name is Rae!”

“What's your dads last name?”

“Uhhh morn-morningstar!”

Rae froze looking between the child and Wolf.

“I don't want to move her but she can't stay down here it's not safe,” Rae muttered looking at the sleeping child on his lap. He had learned she was most definitely his future child. She had explained that Athena and Soul had helped create her in a similar way Athena had been.

“I can take her up with me, we can always explain to her in the morning,” Wolf said, picking the child up with a gentleness you wouldn't expect from him.

“Thank you Wolf,” Rae said with a smile as he stood up moving toward the cell.

“I'll see you in the morning Rae,” Wolf said, adjusting Vaeh so he could hold her easier.

“See you in the morning Wolf,” Rae said, stepping into the cell.

Shower Thoughts

Soooo, I just got out of the shower, but before I got in it I had finished up Shebert's vod of the fable finale and Heyhay's just before that, and I have thoughts.

So Vaeh found a daisy that turned into a orchid right? And Icarus recently took over as Quixis, and thats the type of stuff Quixis does. So does that mean Icarus is trying to communicate that they will be retiring from their position as Quixis soon?

(This all popped into my mind while the song dandelions was playing when I was showering)

Why do I feel like Aax would pull a Bernadette while babysitting Vaeh?

Like, if she wouldn’t settle down at bedtime, Aax would just climb into the crib with her and staying there until either Vaeh falls asleep or until Caspian, Rae or Fenris found them there and just carried them to their bed.

What color blood would Vaeh have?

Probably it looks mostly red! Maybe a tinge magenta like Rae, but not much!

i have hcs abt vaeh and cari! (all when they’re teens. i have so many thoughts abt icarus and cari)

they both get given old clothes from their family (they would’ve asked for them anyways)

vaeh gets a lot from ocie, ari, and momboo

sometimes she gets things from her dads

cari gets so much from caspian (SO MANY RED SHIRTS)

cari would steal the hell out of icarus’s jackets and clothes

vaeh is a strong blend of her dads and their siblings (looks and personality)

cari is so similar to caspian and icarus (personality is more like caspian but looks very close to icarus when they were a teen)

vaeh is very extroverted

cari is an ambivert. they are a listener more than anything

both are very caring but vaeh has more empathy than her younger sibling

cari likes working on mechanical stuff with caspian but loves doing research with rae even more

isla and rae walk in on cari working on potions and think that icarus came home and was being alchemist

vaeh has fenris’ hair type and it gets shoved in a ponytail or bun everyday

cari has cas and ic’s hair type, just longer than both and more layers(v fluffy)

all i have atm but CARI AND ICARUS OMFG I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS OF THEM AND ITS ALL FLUFF TOO
