For Broden Voss: 2, 29, and 57
For Samira: 10, 46, and 51
For North: 11, 32, and 41
Oooo thank you for all the questions!!
For Broden:
2. What’s their biggest regret?
Broden is a very self assured, arrogant person- and part of that is believing he’s always in the right. He’s never wrong, he never makes mistakes, and he’s above everyone else, that’s his mindset… If he had to choose, he would say his greatest regret is not hiring an assassin to kill Cyrus Borg in the chaos after the digital overlords defeat.
29. If they could change one thing about themselves, physical or otherwise, what would it be?
He loves himself. King of self love fr. He hits the gym religiously, eats well with the highest quality foods, and maintains his hair and skincare routine meticulously and he feels good in his skin. It’s possible he’d want to change himself to be a bit more likeable. His media interviews often have people in the comments talking about how intimidating and unnerving he is, and he wants to put forward a more friendly public image (even if he’s as far from friendly as you can get…)
57. How do they feel about drugs?
The farthest he’d ever go is fancy, expensive cigars. And cocaine on vacation
For Samira:
10. What do they fantasize about?
She’d never tell anyone, but sometimes she thinks about how her life could have gone if she hadn’t been plagued by so many tragedies- if she hadn’t taken the path of revenge, if she hadn’t needed to. The woman in those fantasies is so different from herself that she can’t recognize her. She always decides she did the right thing.
46. Are they the life of the party or a wallflower?
She used to be a very passive person, lingering more on the outskirts. Now she is THE party!
51. What is their favorite thing about themselves?
She likes her strength and magnetic personality. She loves her hair. She loves he skills as a seamstress even if she doesn’t use it often, but her favorite thing about herself is her determination.
And for North:
11. Who’s the most important person in their life?
Zane ❤️ (If we’re talking about the version of north in my original story, then I’d say Valerie- the girl who fixed him, who he works for)
32. What were they like in high school?
North hasn’t been to school of any kind, but they’d probably have been someone who sits in the back of the class and ignores everything. Lone wolf. Jerk. Probably a bully. Oh this makes me want to come up with a movie!AU north… movie au! Of all of my ocs…. Omg…
41. What do other people love most about them?
Zane kinda loves how devoted North is to him. Feels good to be so wanted. He also loves North’s ambition and ability to chase what he wants with no fear or hesitation.

The Thanksgiving holiday typically brings families and friends together in a celebration of common gratitude for all the good things that have happened during the previous year. People celebrate the holiday in various ways, with parades, football marathons, and attending religious services, but food remains the over-arching theme. For astronauts embarked on long-duration space missions, separation from family and friends is inevitable and they rely on fellow crew members to share in the tradition and enjoy the culinary traditions as much as possible. In this most unusual of years when the pandemic may alter typical Thanksgiving gatherings, it seems appropriate to review how astronauts over the years have celebrated the holiday during their time in space. Enjoy the stories and photographs from orbital Thanksgiving celebrations over the years. Thanksgiving 1973. Left: Skylab 4 astronauts Gerald P. Carr, Edward G. Gibson, and William R. Pogue, the first crew to celebrate Thanksgiving in space. Right: Gibson, left, Pogue, and Carr demonstrate eating aboard Skylab. Skylab 4 astronauts Gerald P. Carr, Edward G. Gibson, and William R. Pogue were the first crew to celebrate Thanksgiving in space on Nov. 22, 1973. On that day, their seventh of an 84-day mission, Gibson and Pogue completed a 6-hour and 33-minute spacewalk, while Carr remained in the Multiple Docking Adaptor with no access to food. All three made up for missing lunch by consuming two meals at dinner time, although neither included special items for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving 1985. Left: STS-61B payload specialists Charles D. Walker, left, and Rodolfo Neri Vela of Mexico enjoy the first Thanksgiving aboard a space shuttle in Atlantis’ middeck. Middle: The STS-61B crew enjoying their Thanksgiving dinner while floating in Atlantis’ middeck. Right: Mexican payload specialist Neri Vela, who introduced tortillas to space menus. Twelve years passed before the next orbital Thanksgiving celebration. On Nov. 28, 1985, the seven-member crew of STS-61B, NASA astronauts Brewster H. Shaw, Bryan D. O’Connor, Jerry L. Ross, Mary L. Cleave, and Sherwood C. “Woody” Spring, and payload specialists Charles D. Walker from the United States and Rodolfo Neri Vela from Mexico, feasted on shrimp cocktail, irradiated turkey, and cranberry sauce aboard the space shuttle Atlantis. Neri Vela introduced tortillas to space menus, and they have remained favorites among astronauts ever since. Unlike regular bread, tortillas do not create crumbs, a potential hazard in weightlessness, and have multiple uses for any meal of the day. The crew of STS-33, NASA astronauts Frederick D. Gregory, John E. Blaha, Manley L. “Sonny” Carter, F. Story Musgrave, and Kathryn C. Thornton, celebrated Thanksgiving aboard space shuttle Discovery in 1989. Gregory and Musgrave celebrated their second Thanksgiving in space two years later, joined by fellow STS-44 NASA astronauts Terrence T. “Tom” Henricks, James S. Voss, Mario Runco, and Thomas J. Hennen aboard space shuttle Atlantis. Thanksgiving 1996. Left: STS-80 astronauts Tamara E. Jernigan, left, Kent V. Rominger, and Thomas D. Jones enjoy Thanksgiving dinner in Columbia’s middeck. Right: The STS-80 crew during aboard Columbia exchanging Thanksgiving greetings with John E. Blaha aboard the Mir space station. In 1996, Blaha celebrated his second Thanksgiving in space with Russian cosmonauts Valeri G. Korzun and Aleksandr Y. Kaleri aboard the space station Mir. Blaha watched the beautiful Earth through the Mir windows rather than his usual viewing fare of football. The STS-80 crew of NASA astronauts Kenneth D. Cockrell, Kent V. Rominger, Tamara E. Jernigan, Thomas D. Jones, and Musgrave, now on his third turkey day holiday in orbit, celebrated Thanksgiving aboard space shuttle Columbia. Although the eight crew members were in different spacecraft in different orbits, they exchanged holiday greetings via space-to-space radio. This marked the largest number of people in space on Thanksgiving Day up to that time. One year later, NASA astronaut David A. Wolf celebrated Thanksgiving with his Russian crewmates Anatoli Y. Solovev, who translated the holiday into Russian as den blagodarenia, and Pavel V. Vinogradov aboard Mir. They enjoyed smoked turkey, freeze-dried mashed potatoes, peas, and milk. Also in orbit at the time was the crew of STS-87, NASA astronauts Kevin R. Kregel, Steven W. Lindsey, Kalpana Chawla, and Winston E. Scott, Takao Doi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and Leonid K. Kadenyuk of Ukraine, aboard Columbia. The nine crew members aboard the two spacecraft broke the one-year-old record for the largest number of people in space at one time for Thanksgiving, also setting the record for the most nations represented, four. Middle: Dezhurov, left, and Mikhail V. Tyurin of Roscosmos. Right: Tyurin, left, and Culbertson. The Expedition 1 crew of NASA astronaut William M. Shepherd, and Yuri P. Gidzenko and Sergei K. Krikalev of Roscosmos celebrated the first Thanksgiving aboard the International Space Station on Nov. 23, 2000, three weeks after their arrival aboard the facility. The crew took time out of their busy schedule to enjoy ham and smoked turkey and send words of thanks to people on the ground who provided excellent support to their flight. Crews have celebrated Thanksgiving in space every November since then. In 2001, Expedition 3 crew members NASA astronaut Frank L. Culbertson, and Vladimir N. Dezhurov and Mikhail V. Tyurin of Roscosmos enjoyed the first real Thanksgiving aboard the space station, complete with a cardboard turkey as decoration. The following year’s orbital Thanksgiving celebration included the largest number of people to that time, the combined 10 crewmembers of Expedition 5, STS-113, and Expedition 6.  After a busy day that included the first Thanksgiving Day spacewalk aboard the space station, the crews settled down to a dinner of smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, and green beans with mushrooms. Blueberry-cherry cobbler rounded out the meal. Thanksgiving 2008. Left: The Thanksgiving dinner reheating in space shuttle Endeavour’s food warmer. Right: The crews of Expedition 18 and STS-126 share a meal in the space shuttle middeck. Expedition 18 crew members NASA astronauts E. Michael Fincke and Gregory E. Chamitoff and Yuri V. Lonchakov representing Roscosmos, welcomed the STS-126 crew of NASA astronauts Christopher J. Ferguson, Eric A. Boe, Heidemarie M. Stefanyshyn-Piper, Donald R. Pettit, Stephen G. Bowen, R. Shane Kimbrough, and Sandra H. Magnus during Thanksgiving in 2008. They dined in the space shuttle Endeavour’s middeck on smoked turkey, candied yams, green beans and mushrooms, cornbread dressing and a cranapple dessert.  Thanksgiving 2009. Left: Crew members from Expedition 21 and STS-129 share an early Thanksgiving meal. Right: The Thanksgiving dinner for the Expedition 21 and STS-129 crews. Stott, Roman Y. Romanenko and Maksim V. Suraev of Roscosmos, Frank L. DeWinne of the European Space Agency, and Robert B. Thirsk of the Canadian Space Agency hosted the six members of the STS-129 crew, NASA astronauts Charles O. Hobaugh, Barry E. Wilmore, Michael J. Foreman, Robert L. Satcher, Randolph J. Bresnik, and Leland D. Melvin. The twelve assembled crew members represented the United States, Russia, Belgium, and Canada. The celebration took place two days early, since the shuttle undocked from the space station on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving 2010. Left: Expedition 25 commander and NASA astronaut Scott J. Space Station 20th: Long-duration Missions
ISS - 20th Anniversary 1998-2018 patch / NASA - International Space Station (ISS) 20th patch. March 2, 2020
Space stations provide the capability to support long-duration human space flights and the research needed to study the effects of extended periods of weightlessness on humans. The results of the investigations will inform future human exploration missions. Prior to space stations, the longest flight lasted only 18 days, although at the time (1970) it set an endurance record. The small size of the spacecraft not only precluded a longer stay due to lack of storage for consumables but also limited any significant medical monitoring or countermeasures equipment.
Space stations that preceded ISS (Top to bellow) Salyut, Skylab 1, Salyut 6, Salyut 7 and Mir. The images do not show the stations to the same scale.
Beginning with the first experimental space station Salyut in 1971, a series of Soviet and American platforms through the 1970s and 1980s played host to numerous long-duration missions, many setting ever-increasing endurance records up to 237 days. Beginning in 1986, the Soviet then Russian space station Mir hosted numerous long-duration missions during its 15 years of operation, extending the human spaceflight endurance record to 438 days, completed by cosmonaut Valeri V. Polyakov in March 1995. His 14-month spaceflight, long enough for a round-trip journey to Mars, remains the longest single space mission to date. Between October 1994 and March 1995, Mir hosted the first long-duration flight by a woman, cosmonaut Yelena V. Kondakova. As she and Polyakov prepared to return to Earth, astronaut Norman E. Thagard joined them in March 1995 as the first American to live aboard Mir, the first long-duration mission of the International Space Station (ISS) Phase 1 Program, also known as the Shuttle-Mir Program. In March 1996, Shannon W. Lucid arrived aboard Mir to begin the first long-duration flight by an American woman.
Top: Polyakov (right) assisting Kondakova with an experiment aboard Mir in 1994. Bellow: Polyakov minutes after this return to Earth after 438 days in space in 1995.
Top: Thagard, the first American aboard Mir. Bellow: Lucid, the first American woman to complete a long-duration flight aboard Mir.
The ISS provides a platform where scientists can conduct multi-disciplinary international studies on the effects of long-duration spaceflight on human physiology and psychology using instruments and techniques that can be regularly updated to keep up with advancing technology. With ISS nearing 20 years of continuous occupancy by rotating teams of crewmembers, the various investigations have adequate numbers of subject experiences available to reach significant conclusions. The first long-duration crew of William M. Shepherd, Yuri P. Gidzenko and Sergei K. Krikalev arrived at ISS on Nov. 2, 2000. Their replacements, the Expedition 2 crew of Yuri V. Usachev, James S. Voss and Susan J. Helms, arrived on March 10, 2001, and included the first woman to complete a long-duration mission aboard ISS. During their mission, the Space Shuttle delivered the first research racks including the Human Research Facility Rack 1 dedicated to conducting studies on human adaptation to long-duration spaceflight. Additional facilities to support an expanded range of investigations arrived on subsequent Space Shuttle flights.
Top: Expedition 1, the first long-duration crew to live and work aboard ISS (left to right) Krikalev, Shepard and Gidzenko. Bellow: ISS Expedition 2 crew, the first to include a woman (left to right) Helms, Usachev and Voss.
As of March 2020, ISS has hosted 170 long-duration crewmember flights of durations ranging from 48 to 340 days, with the majority in the five- to seven-month range. Of these, 152 were flown by males and 18 by females.  In exchange for their contributions to the ISS Program, the European Space Agency (ESA) has conducted 13 long-duration missions, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) eight, and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) three. The longest mission by an ESA astronaut was Luca S. Parmitano’s 201-day flight completed in 2020. Koichi Wakata holds the record for JAXA with his 188-day mission concluded in 2012, while Robert B. Thirsk’s 188-day flight in 2009 was the longest by a CSA astronaut.
Summary chart of long-duration experiences (longer than 90 days) completed aboard ISS.

In November 2012, NASA and the Russian space agency Roscosmos agreed to jointly conduct a one-year mission aboard ISS to better understand the effects on humans of such a lengthy exposure to space flight. The two agencies selected veteran space travelers Scott J. Kelly and Mikhail B. Korniyenko as the two participants in the mission. The pair launched to ISS with fellow crewmember Gennadi I. Padalka on March 27, 2015, and landed 340 days later with cosmonaut Sergey A. Volkov on March 2, 2016. The two participated in 23 investigations across seven research disciplines before, during and after their stay aboard ISS as members of Expeditions 43, 44, 45 and 46. Scientists presented the preliminary findings of their studies in January 2017. More information about the experiments and their results is available here. Additional one-year missions aboard ISS are in the planning stages.
Top: One-Year crewmembers Kelly (left) and Korniyenko before the mission. Middle: Kelly and Korniyenko aboard ISS. Bellow: Korniyenko (left) and Kelly (right) with fellow crewmember Volkov (middle) after their landing in Kazakhstan.
Of particular interest to scientists, Kelly’s selection as the American astronaut to participate in the one-year mission proved fortuitous: he has an identical twin brother, Mark E. Kelly, also an experienced astronaut. This provided a unique opportunity for scientists to study the effects of a one-year mission on one astronaut, using his twin with a virtually identical genetic profile as a ground-based control subject. Both astronauts agreed to participate in the NASA Twins Study, a panel of investigations looking into the health effects of the long-duration mission, with Scott conducting the experiments aboard ISS and Mark on the ground. After the mission, the investigators jointly published the results of the Twins Study in the prestigious journal Science. A short video describes three of the major findings.
Top: Twin astronauts Mark (left) and Scott Kelly. Bellow: Schematic of the NASA Twins Study research themes and publication plan.
Astronaut Christina H. Koch holds the title for the longest single spaceflight by a woman after completing her 329-day mission in February 2020. Launched in March 2019, Koch participated in studies focused on standard measures, a consistent set of core measurements taken from all ISS crewmembers to characterize the effects of living in space for long durations. Investigations recorded measurements in the categories of behavioral health and performance, immunology, microbiology, biochemistry, sensorimotor adaptation and cardiovascular adaptation.
Top: Koch minutes after her return from her record-breaking mission. Middle: Padalka shortly after his return from his fifth long-duration mission. Bellow: Whitson after returning from her third long-duration flight to ISS.
Russian cosmonaut Gennadi I. Padalka currently holds the title as the world’s most space traveled individual. Over the course of five long-duration mission, one aboard Mir and four aboard ISS, Padalka has accumulated 878 days in space, or nearly 2.5 years. In addition, Padalka also holds the record for the most birthdays celebrated in space, one during each of his four stays aboard ISS. Peggy A. Whitson holds the record for most cumulative spaceflight time for a woman as well as for any American astronaut. Over the course of three long-duration missions aboard ISS, she spent a total of 639 days or about 1.75 years in space. Information gathered during these and future long-duration missions aboard ISS will provide the information needed for future programs to send the first woman and the next man to land on the Moon, for astronauts to live and work aboard the Gateway and one day undertake the first expedition to Mars.

*minor, essentially inconsequential spoilers for cyberpunk 2077*
Is anyone else salty as shit that in one of the quests you get your “real name” said? Like, my name is V for Ivy Voss for rp reasons, not fucking Valerie ☹️

"Pushed Too Far" Book Review
“Pushed Too Far” Book Review
Pushed Too Far (the first in the Val Ryker Series) was such a great read! Ann Voss Peterson’s thriller is terrific—tightly plotted, economically written, gritty and scary without going overboard.
A TOWN’S TERRIBLE SECRET
Two years ago a woman was brutally murdered, her body burned until only ash and shattered bone remained. Police Sergeant Valerie Ryker solved that case, putting psychopath Dixon…

Upcoming series,
Fights of Medallion.
Tumblr media
With the help of my good friend @iscornflake and my dream from a bit ago, I have decided to start making a new series which is in the heavy stages of development. This series is about a small lad named Fen (who is heavily inspired by Red from Everhood, although we changed a bunch up to not make him a clear copy of Red.) who wants to enter and win this fighting tournament in the island known as Medallion, with the help of his buddies which include Voss, an old veteran pirate and Valeri, a young troublemaking female.
This series takes place in medieval times mixed with some fantasy and scientific fiction elements to spice it up. The world being full of pirates, humans, goblins, otherworldly creatures and even a set of deities.
This series is again, in it's very early stages and I look forward to actually having stories, animations, and much more of it done soon in the future.
I will be opening up a tumblr account for this series soon so people can ask more about it. For now, all I can show you is Fen's character reference sheet.
