Wait was the jugdral stuff in the same world as awakening???
Technically yes! There's actually a fair bit of overlap between the first few games in the series, to the point where Archanea, Jugdral, and Valentia are canonically part of the same world. The biggest link between them is actually Naga herself: she's a key figure in the lore of Archanea and Valentia as the source of the Falchion blades, and in Jugdral she joined with eleven other dragons to offer a blood pact and a holy weapon to mankind in order to oppose the Loptyrian Empire. So knowing that they're all in the same world, and Awakening directly ties itself to Shadow Dragon with the provenance of Falchion as Marth's blade and the presence of Tiki as a recruitable character, Awakening effectively takes place ~3,000 years after the events of Genealogy.

I’ve got this theory that Bantu is Salamand; a dragon from FE4.
Their both fire dragons that take the form of old man and is one of only other dragons mentioned in FE4.
Also, This dialogue from Brave Tiki shows her talking about Naga and Salamand and says they sound familiar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What do you think?
I think I read somewhere Salamand was supposed to be the leader of the fire dragons or something?
Even if I love Bantu, I can't see him being the Fire Dragon King - however, a point can be made that Naga wouldn't just ask anybody to look after her kid, but someone strong enough to protect her if needed (and then Bantu's dragon stone broke or something lol).
Or Bantu is weak as fuck because he already poured all of his power in Valflame, and already put his dragon stone in it (like all dragons did for the Jugdralian Holy Weapons!) so the unit we use in Fe Archanea uses what power he has left and condensed in a new dragon stone, the reason why he sucks?
So while I think it's just a nod, it could also work!

Now that Fire Emblem Heroes has opened it's yearly Choose Your Legends voting period.... I am kindly asking you to consider sparing a vote (or two!) to two of my favorites in the series: F!Robin and Sigurd!
Why?
Well let's start with Robin,
Tumblr media
Robin fans won out last year when their Male counterpart won the male division of CYL 7 alongside Soren and I'm sure many F!Robin fans (myself included) helped him reach that victory by voting, just as we did in previous years with Chrom and A!Tiki. F!Robin has waited for her time to shine and has supported her competition for several years now. It's time for her to receive the Awakening vote love!
If that wasn't enough to sway you, let's look at F!Robin's legacy in FEH.
1. Her base version was a year 1 grail unit with a mediocre (affectionate) refine that takes max investment to work around
2. Her summer alt is a year one seasonal with a bad weapon and book 1 era stats (but she sure is cute!)
3. Her legendary alt isn't even her- it's Grima. Grima took away her chance at being a legendary unit
4. Her Halloween alt is another Grima alt. She didn't even get to participate in Halloween because Grima took the spot :(
5. Her Valentine's alt is adorable but still a seasonal locked unit
6. Her rearmed version is yet another Grima.
HALF of all F!Robin's in FEH are Grima alts. There is no F!Robin available to summon in the normal 4/5 star pool. Getting a brave alt would be a big deal for her and her fans.
Please, spare a vote to the best tactician around, F!Robin!
~
Now, let's talk about Sigurd
Tumblr media
Sigurd comes from FE4, Genealogy of the Holy War, a game I know many of you may not have played yet. That's okay though! I get it! It's a bit old and jank to play and you need to emulate it with a translation patch if you don't understand Japanese. So I'm gonna explain who this man is to you....
Sigurd is the heir to house Chalphy and a descent of the crusader Baldr in Judgral, which makes him kind of a big deal. Throughout his game, he makes allies with many people throughout Judgral in an attempt to unify and fight back against the rising corruption.
Along his journey, he meets Deirdre and the two fall in love and end up having a son together, Seliph. Sigurd is devoted to his family and loves Deirdre more than anything in the world. Sigurd is a family man. Look at this Cipher art if you need more explanation:
Tumblr media
(*SPOILERS ahead for FE4, but FEH and Engage already spoiled this so if you somehow don't know what happens to Sigurd, maybe stop reading here*)
Tragedy befalls the couple not long after their son is born... Deirdre is kidnapped and her memories are wiped clean as she is needed for a sinister plot... Her holy blood is needed to help the Loptous cult resurrect their dark God so they use Deirdre as a pawn and marry her off to Arvis.
Sigurd is distraught with his wife gone and searches and searches for her but ultimately must continue through on his plans. He returns to his home and is met by Arvis, the Duke of Velthomer, and the descendant of the imperial family. He welcomes them in as a deceitful trick and declares Sigurd a traitor and calls for his execution. Before he issues the order, Arvis lets Sigurd meet his new wife- Deirdre as a sick and twisted punishment. With that, Arvis calls down Valflame and kills Sigurd and many of his army members.
Sigurd's legacy is carried by his son, Seliph, who will free Judgral from the horrors that the dark cult inflicted many years later.
~
So that was heavy. But do you understand why he's such a compelling character??? He has such an unfortunate heroes tale, but FEH let's us see him again and be able to reunite him with his love and his son.
Seliph got his own brave alt two years ago in CYL 6 and it feels right for it to be his father's time to step up and shine as a brave hero.
Let's look at Sigurd's legacy in FEH:
1. His base version is a year 1 sword cavalier who's a bit outdated but not unusable by any means with proper skill investment
2. His duo dancer alt is Deirdre is one of the best arts in the game and I won't let anyone convince me otherwise
3. His Legendary alt was a meta threat at one point in time and the art is gorgeous
4. Lastly, this year he got his second seasonal alt, a tea time Butler alt that just cute. He definitely is serving tea for Deirdre and making sure she's happy.
A brave alt just seems perfectly fitting for him at this point!
~
In conclusion, these are two characters who are ready for their moment to shine in FEH with a brave alt. They've waited for their friends or family members to get there first and now it's (potentially) their time for the brave win. Thank you for reading all this and may the CYL odds be in our favor!
TLDR: Vote for F!Robin and Sigurd in CYL 8!

Dear Lord Arthur,
Would you mind lending a lady a little helping hand? My lord and his new fiancee are thinking of celebrating their private engagement. He would like somewhere romantic and secluded, preferably a countryside village, where they can spend a quality time together without being subjected to a barrage of people's stares and worldly affairs... ahem, besides their own pleasure, if you forgive me for this.
You must understand, Sir, that milord is quite a socialite despite not very keen on being referred as such himself, so anything he does will always attract attention no matter what -- especially if he's not alone! He has been quite nervous and excited at the same time, and I have sworn an oath of secrecy that his identity will remain a guarded secret throughout the course of my consulting people such as you. I've been informed that you are not, actually, hailing from Silesse; but considering you seem to know the country like the back of your hand, I'd love to add Silesse into his considerations given the serene yet majestic atmosphere the country exudes.
He's aware of all the challenges and willing to use a pseudonym!
Your humble Agustrian peasant,
Rose Blade.
Dear Rose Blade
If this noble is who I think it is ie Agustria’s black cat then I must preface this letter with two things:
1. Silesse is NOT an ideal place for two foreign nobles to find refuge from prying eyes.
2. His fiancee is a dancer, it will be inevitable that attention will come to them.
But worry not, I have my ways around these frigid lands and I do not mind sharing believe it or not. Firstly, if he wishes for refuge in Silesse then he must wear the attire of a bard. It is by far the most apt disguise in these lands and no one will bat an eye! Secondly, make sure his fiancee finds a new hobby. I am sure dancing is good to keep oneself warm but that warmness is exactly why others seek her like moths to a Valflame. Instead she should be as cold as her stare when her loaner refuses to pay the full sum back to her. That’s right, she should become a debt collector and that will certainly keep prying eyes away from her. I even heard the lord’s aunt was given a sword meant for thievery by well… a thief. Rumors say she even married that thief but rumors are simply rumors unless it is about my aunt.
As for his new moniker, I believe Garfield would be most fitting for him. Foreign yet apt! With this in mind, I sure do hope your lords find some solace there and make sure to tell them that King Ced is hosting a dull party that is begging to be crashed
Your most agitated of nobles,
Lord Arthur

Hey since we're in the mood for the Outrealm Court again consider: the Flame Emperor™ Case where Arvis sues Edelgard for stealing his title
You know, I somehow doubt that Arvis would get as far as Grima with that case because frankly...Edelgard has a solid reason to take that title.
They do involve spoilers, though, and since I know you're still on your first route, I'm sticking them under a cut.
So the reason why Edelgard claims the title of Flame Emperor is because she is heir to the Adrestian Empire -- and before the timeskip even hits, she ascends the throne, making her the actual Emperor of Adrestia. So already she has the Emperor part down. But on top of that, because of the Crest Experiments the Agarthans subjected her to, Edelgard bears the same Crest Byleth does: the Crest of Flames.
She's the Emperor who bears the Crest of Flames -- ergo, Flame Emperor.
Arvis has similar right to claim the title since he similarly ascended the throne and established Grannvale as an empire, and through his Holy Blood is able to wield Valflame. There's no single right here, because each has legitimate claim based on the circumstances of their worlds and their lineages. Unlike titles for dragons, who live for tens of thousands of years and have a very Interesting relationship with death, I think this is a case where the court would have to rule that the titles of men can be one to a world (and possibly even one to a generation).

If we ever get Genealogy remakes (fingers crossed), are there any things you would like the remake to do differently from the original?
Based on your profile pic, I figured you might appreciate a Judgral ask
You can always send me jugdral asks anon ! Party!Julia's from 2014 iirc, when I fell in Jugdral hell and she remained there since then.
As for different things from Fe4...
Well, add more convos between characters, like support convos especially with characters who "are/became" married !
And maybe... Make fire tomes not so damn heavy to the point they're not garbage anymore, ditto with giving one or two more point of weight to wind tomes, jugdral really needs some balancing (but it shouldn't balance the general unfairness that is HB and the associated HW).
Oh, and of course, correct Hilda's major Dain blood lol, and give the ish sibs minor Fala blood (but still nothing for scipio he'll forever remain a joke !).
As for the plot...
It's opening another can, rather, super container of worms anon !
In a nutshell, give more plot importance to Julia so she's not in her own tier anymore, maybe have Tine not join if Arthur is the one who killed Ishtore (give him more relevance damn, Tine is supposed to like/love her cousins but dgaf, after crying for his death for 3 seconds, when the LA wants to recruit her ?), kinslaying being so vile in Jugdral verse, Johan/lva doesn't die when the other is picked up, let's have them maybe be a green unit sometimes met in a castle, or have him lead off screen armies (like they're sent to meet with Leif before Seliph officially rescues him in Fe4) etc...
Oh and unless it's a pure Fe4 remake, incluses elements from Fe5 (with Fe5 remake proper being another game), like the feud between Galzus and Shanan (resolve it ffs, let us have the reason why Shanan's dad slaughtered one of his sisters and threw his nephew in exile, but didn't want the same fate for his other sister), Faerghus shenanigans and, of course, Saias stuff (him joining Julius' side and picking Valflame in the last map, only being recruitable by Julia).
Edit bcs I forgot :
Give Julia the Lord status, aka when she dies it's game over because she's the only one who can use Naga to defeat Loptyr !
For all of the narrative integration in its gameplay, Fe4 really dropped the Ball with having Seliph and pals be able to defeat Julius once he's fully Loptyr'd

Jugdral's dragon gods
I forgot to post my Jugdral dragons headcanons theory here!
I know that I usually make posts related to Three Houses, but I'm also a huge nerd when it comes to Jugdral's dragons. So here's a little theory post as we wait for the inevitable FE4 Remake!
Let's unpack!
What the dragon doing?
It's common knowledge that the gods who descended upon Darna were actually dragons. You hear it from Lewyn(?) near the end of the game. Tiki also tells us the same in FEH:
""Naga, god of light, appears as a young girl, and Salamander, god of fire, takes the form of an old man...," Hehe, they certainly sound familiar."
This got me thinking. What are the names of the other dragons? What type of dragons are they? What did they appear as in front of the crusaders?
Tribes
Let's first look at the information we have. What dragon tribes are there in the Archanea/Jugdral world?
Divine (nearly extinct)
Fire
Ice
Flying (wyvern)
Mage
Earth (only Medeus left)
Sea
Theory time
Okay, with all of that information and my crazy imagination, I have come up with a theory! You'll be able to tell that I'm slowly getting more and more clueless as time goes on.
Here we go!
Holy weapon - Crusader - Dragon - Tribe - Disguise
Book of Naga - Heim - Naga - Divine Dragon - Young girl (Tiki)
Valflame - Fjalar - Salamander - Fire Dragon - Elderly man (Bantu)
Book of Forseti - Ced - Forseti - Divine Dragon - Young man (Xane)
Mjölnir - Thrud - Thor - Mage- or Divine Dragon - Wise sage (Gotoh)
Tyrfing - Baldr - Tyr - Divine Dragon - Knight (who the fuck)
Mystletainn - Hoðr - Basilisk - Mage Dragon - Knight (Camus)
Balmung - Od - Odin - Divine Dragon - Swordsman (Navarre)
Gáe Bolg - Njörun - Ethnia - Earth- or Divine Dragon - Knight (Minerva)
Gungnir - Dáinn - Odin.. 2? - Divine Dragon - Knight (Michalis)
Yewfelle - Ullr - Sif or Eyvel - Divine Dragon - Archer (Jeorge)
Helswath - Nál? - Divine Dragon - ???
Valkyrie Staff - Bragi - Valkyrie - Divine Dragon - Old man (Wrys)
Book of Naga
Self-explanatory. She appears as a young girl and is supposed to represent Tiki.
Valflame
I believe Salamander to be a Fire Dragon simply because he's supposed to the Bantu to Naga's Tiki. And his weapon is a powerful fire spell.
There is a deleted line in one of Marth's older games where a fire dragon says something about sacrificing the cast to Salamander. It makes me think that Salamander is the ruler of the Fire Dragons, like how Naga is the ruler of the Divine Dragons.
Book of Forseti
This is where it gets a little rough. I want to call Forseti a Wind Dragon, but we don't know of any Wind Tribe in Archanea. Flying Dragon also doesn't work because those are wyverns and wyverns aren't exactly sentient anymore.
The thing that makes sense to me would be a Divine Dragon. I've also seen a theory of him being an Ice Dragon. Have you heard of the theory saying that Forseti is Tiki's father? Something about him possibly being an Ice Dragon and young Tiki having ice breath instead of flame breath.
I believe that Forseti appeared as a young man, more specifically, Xane. Think about it. Naga is supposed to be Tiki and Salamander is supposed to be Bantu. Forseti appearing as another one of the four divine dragons seems fitting. It's another reason why I think Divine Dragon would fit him best in that scenario.
Now, I'm not trying to say that Forseti IS Xane. He's clearly not. Archanea also happens about a thousand years after Jugdral's events. I just think it would be a fun easter egg to try and tie each disguise to at least one Archanean character.
Mjölnir
Thor being the name of the dragon who made mjölnir seems quite obvious. You might say that FEH already stole that name, but their god of war is actually called Thorr. TOTALLY different!
I'm a little torn on what tribe they might belong to. Mage dragon? Possible. That tome is all about magic, and there is nothing saying that Divine Dragons are fantastic at thunder magic. Besides, Divine Dragons are supposed to be nearly extinct. A bunch of them popping up at Darna would be kinda going against that, no?
What about the disguise? Thor probably appeared as a wise sage, like Gotoh, to complete the rest of the tome dragon disguises. Gotoh is a Divine Dragon, so maybe Thor is also a Divine Dragon?
I don't know!
Tyrfing
Tyrfing. Finger of Tyr, the god of war, in Norse mythology. It's kind of clear when you look at it that way.
Baldr and Tyrfing are associated with light, much like Naga is, so I believe that Tyr was a Divine Dragon.
Why do I say they appeared as a knight? Look at this art made by Suzuki Rika:
Tumblr media
You got Naga as a young girl and Salamander as the old guy in robes- Wait, hol' up a second
Tumblr media
WHO IS YOU?
That's like.. a roman helmet or something. Yeah, I think that's supposed to be Tyr in disguise.
What do you mean it's not official art?
Mystletainn
Did you know that the Mage Dragon tribe is most likely called Basilisk? It wouldn't be a huge stretch so say that their ruler shares a name with the tribe.
"Kee hee hee… So, Marth! You've come crawling back to your homeland… just to die! I am Lord Medeus's most formidable servant… Morzas of Basilisk!"
Disguise is.. uhh.. I don't know. I don't know of any Dark Knight from Archanea. Maybe Camus? He's technically a villain.
Actually, Camus would work quite well. Eldigan's whole thing is that he pulls a Camus.
Balmung
I'll be honest. I just thought that it would be funny if Odin gave Od a weapon.
Divine Dragon, because the family's special skill is Astra. Astra is associated with the stars and heavens, something that fits best for a Divine Dragon.
Disguise is Navarre because he's also an edgy swordsman!
Gáe Bolg
Leif says that the Earth Goddess of Thracia is called Ethnia. Gáe Bolg is the Earth Lance.
Why am I not so sure if Ethnia is an Earth Dragon or Divine Dragon? Simple. The Earth Dragons are supposed to be all but wiped out, with Medeus being the only one who is still alive. It would work so well if Ethnia was an Earth Dragon, what with all the titles and such, but the lore just doesn't want to agree. I'm not sure which one she is, so.. pick one.
Minerva is the disguise. Why? I don't know. I can't think of anyone else.
Gungnir
...Gungnir is Odin's spear in Norse Mythology. Ah, fuck.
"Gungnir and Gáe Bolg were probably made by Duma and Mila-" NO! They were banished long before the events of Jugdral. Naga isn't gonna hop back over there and be like "I know I banished you guys and gave you my fang to kill yourself, but mind coming back to help out?"
...Ignoring the possible name. Gungnir is the heavenly lance, which would put it right in place with the Divine Dragon tribe. This is also part of the reason why I think it would make sense if Ethnia was an Earth Dragon. Heaven and Earth. Divine and Earth.
What about the disguise? If Ethnia disguised herself as Minerva, then it only makes sense that Gungnir would disguise himself as Michalis! Sibling lances and all that, you know?
Yewfelle
Sif is a norse goddess who is the mother of Ullr. She is also known for her glorious golden locks. Interesting that Yewfelle is made out of 24-karat gold, and that the Ullr line have luscious golden hair. Foolproof evidence right there.
There is also the theory of her name being Eyvel. We know that Brigid was saved by her patron dragon. Maybe Brigid lost all of her memories except the name of the dragon who saved her? Questions... questions...
Tribe? Most likely Divine.
With how I'm trying to assign each disguise to a random Archanean character, let's put Sif/Eyvel with... Jeorge.
Helswath
...I don't have a name for this dragon.
BUT! Helswath is actually called "Swanchika" in Japanese, which sounds a lot like "Swastika". The swastika in Hinduism and Buddhism is actually seen as a symbol for fortune and divinity. I guess a holy symbol would work with the Divine Dragons?
I am aware of what the swastika was also used for, but I don't think that's what Kaga had in mind. At least, I hope he didn't.
I believe that their disguise was the lady of the lake who gave Lex the brave axe. Lex does call her a goddess in FEH. Then again, you'd think Lex would recognize the god of his house. Maybe they appeared as someone else at Darna... like... Barst!
I know, it's not very convincing, but it will have to do.
Valkyrie Staff
I remember reading a novel where the dragon who created the Valkyrie Staff was called... Valkyrie. And they also appeared as an old man. Who does that remind you of? That's right! WRRYYYYSSS!
Now, this novel isn't official or anything, but I think it's funny, so I'm rolling with it. Oh, and Divine Dragon would fit them best with the whole reviving people and light stuff.
And now we wait...
...for the FE4 Remake to confirm/debunk this theory or just not answer anything about the dragons! Let's fucking goooooo!!

"I'm done with you kids. Not just my own kids, but all of you. Goodbye!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lewyn being possessed simultaneously contextualizes a lot about why he acts the way he does, and is a wild conclusion for Seliph to come to. It's an incredibly weird way to reveal this fact that does, I think, fit the story - if I didn't know coming in that this was Lewyn's deal, I would have been so confused by this conversation. We've never heard that Forseti as a dragon's name - Loptyr and Naga are both tomes that have the names of their dragons, but the dragon of fire is called Salamander, but the tome is simply Valflame! It makes sense but it is still revealed so weirdly.
Imagine if Seliph said this and then Lewyn was just like "What the fuck are you talking about, I'm just Lewyn, it's just me."
