Death Eaters killed her and her husband over her blood status. He has fond memories of the times with his parents though he doesn’t remember them as well as his brother. Brooke was always close to both of them and could count on them for advice on many  things. Relationship with him:

Hale is Brooke’s older brother. The two have a troubled relationship. While they attended Hogwarts Hale was very popular and the captain of the Slytherin quidditch team.

After their grandfather passed Hale felt responsible to take care of his little brother and grandmother and he took a more fatherly role which annoyed Brooke. Hale always had strong opinions on how Brooke should behave and  who he should spend time with disapproving his relationship to Vanya Kavinsky and thinking that he's troubled. Brooke was more sensitive to the Killingbeck abilities while Hale tried to ignore his own connection to the dark. He lied to Brooke about his own experiences making Brooke think he was the only one who had them. Eventually the two came by Demetrius Killingbeck's old writings and found out the truth of their abilities. During Brooke’s sixth year at Hogwarts Hale got a job as the assistant of Sasha Kavinsky to Brooke’s great displeasure. He eventually became involved in the five clubs adventures to the other world. During Brooke’s seventh year he saved The Five Club by staying behind in The Dark Realm. Brooke believed him to be dead for a long time and felt guilty over his fate. When Brooke was 28, The Five Club returned to The Other World and Hale was found not having aged a day while being stuck in there. The Killingbeck brothers were the  sons of Julian and Danica Killingbeck. They experimented with alchemy as young men and caused the death of their sister in the process. Demetrius got connected to the darkness and death while Yardley was connected to the light. Demetrius later sacrificed his own life to save his brother but accidentally offended death enough to cause a sort of curse on his family line. His family members always had at least two sons and the other son was destined to die, may it be as a baby or later in life. Many of his family members were also haunted by death and had special abilities.

Relationship with him: Brooke and Vanya were both sorted into Ravenclaw and there was a great chance on them becoming friends during the first months. However when Brooke started getting close to the other Five Club members Vanya grew jealous and the two became rivals. Later on, when Brooke was having trouble with his friends the two grew closer again and started to hook up occasionally. Brooke didn’t want to admit to his feelings and Vanya was always unpredictable. Later on Vanya betrayed him because of his fathers plots and schemes and hurt Brooke in the process causing him the scar on his right cheek.

Relationship with her: Brooke got to know Judy as Jesper’s girlfriend. During the sixth year the two became friends on their own which led the other members of The Five Club to think that the two were involved with each other in secret. This caused a rift between the friends. Later on during their seventh year after Judy and Jesper had broken up the two started to grow closer again and developed feelings for each other. 5 years from graduation (and Vanya’s betrayal) the two started to officially date.

Relationship with him: Out of his friends, Brooke is the closest to Darby. Brooke always felt the most comfortable around him and he's the one who Brooke speaks most out of everyone in his life. Darby is also the first one to learn about his secret. When Darby gets affected by The Entity during their seventh year, Brooke  feels strongly about finding the fix for it and saving him.

Relationship to them:

Brooke and Harker get along well though they don’t spend that much time just the two of them. They’re both creative and have feelings they’d like to hide from everyone else. Harker's close relationship to Jesper sometimes comes between the two as Brooke feels like Harker would always choose Jesper's side, even when he’s wrong. The two get to spend more time just the two of them during their seventh year when Harker is keeping his distance from Jesper.

Relationship to them: Jude is the joker of the group and manages to get Brooke laugh if he wants to. Jude has a tendency to jump into conclusions and not thinking before saying things while Brooke is the opposite. They manage to get into a lot of misunderstanding but over all are close. Relationship to them:

Jesper and his family are the whole reason why The Five Club gets involved with The Other World. Brooke and Jesper are both interested about the place and finding out more about it. In the friend group they have the most difficult relationship. They have their issues with the Judy situation and also come from very different backgrounds. Their personalities don’t really match either which causes them to often argue and disagree on things.

so  actually  i’ll  be  pretty  much  following  the  canon  for  bella .  born  to  the  young  couple  renée  and  charlie  in  forks ,  she  was  only  three  months  old  when  they  got  divorced .  after  moving  around  a  bit ,  renée  got  her  degree  and  landed  a  job  in  phoenix ,  thus  settling  down  there .  up  until  a  certain  age ,  bella  would  visit  her  father  in  forks  every  summer  but  as  she  grew  to  dislike  the  weather  here ,  charlie  then  decided  to  vacation  with  bella  during  the  summertime  in  california  instead .

when  renée  remarried ,  things  began  to  change  a  bit .  as  phil’s  job  now  required  him  to  travel  a  lot  and  renée  would  stay  home  with  bella  instead ,  the  girl  was  quick  to  realize  that  it  upset  her  mother  and  the  decision  to  move  in  with  her  father  was  made .

transferring  to  the  local  uni  was  both  easy  and  difficult  for  bella .  always  the  awkward  and  clumsy  one ,  she  often  had  hard  time  fitting  in  with  her  peers  and  didn’t  have  many  friends  back  there  so  she  knew  she  wouldn’t  miss  anyone  but  new  school  meant  being  the  new  girl  and  she  was  not  one  to  enjoy  the  spotlight  being  on  her .  she  met  jessica ,  angela ,  mike  and  eric  and  befriended  them  (  details  can  be  discussed  with  the  muns !  )  and  that  was  about  it  until  she  met  the  cullens .

Bad Bounty Chapter One: Reunion

Sergeant Hunter x Fem! Bounty Hunter

Warnings: Maybe mutual pining? Nothing too gross.

A/N: hunter was already attractive in season 7, but i managed to suppress my feelings for an ANIMATED character. alas, the bad batch has cursed me and i have finally accepted that he is my latest comfort character.

“You hold onto friends by keeping your heart a little softer than your head.”

“Clone Force 99. Welcome back, ” Commander Cody extends a hand to Hunter who firmly shakes it.

“Apologies for showing up late, we-”

“Got stuck handling some unexpected complications during a mission. I understand Sergeant Hunter,” Cody winks.

“What have you got for us this time Commander?” Crosshair mumbles, twisting his toothpick around between his teeth.

“This one is going to be a bit different boys. It’s not exactly…sanctioned by the GAR. Let’s call it a favor for an old friend of mine.”

Crosshair straightens up, suspicious of Cody’s statement, “We may bend the rules from time to time, but we don’t do favors.”

“This is an efficient mission that ultimately will aid us in the war, provide you some easy target practice…and helps me relieve an old debt I have to pay.”

“Is there a reason you can’t do this yourself?” Hunter questions.

“We’ve been called into battle. Besides, this separatist encampment is one we have failed to infiltrate time and time again,” Cody responds.

Hunter shifts, struggling to comprehend where this is going, “What does attacking a separatist encampment have to do with repaying a debt?”

“There is a Senator stationed on Drahgor III…a corrupt senator at that. One who has a significant bounty on his head. My dear old friend is a bounty hunter I met on Ord Mantell. Your job will be to take out the clankers and retrieve any data you can from the main database. Meanwhile, my bounty hunter friend will secure the bounty and you’ll go your separate ways.”

“Who is this Bounty Hunter?” Crosshair inquires.

“Glad you asked,” Cody exclaims, “Y/N!”

The clone troopers twirl around to see you approaching them. Your manner is conservative yet confident. One thing you have become an expert at is never striving for attention. Instead, your presence demands it.

You nod at the troopers, “Clone Force 99, it is a pleasure to be working with you.”

Surveying the team, your eyes first fall on Crosshair. His distrusting look reaffirms the defense you raised long before wandering onto the landing platform.

Gotta keep an eye on that one.

Next, you glance over to Wrecker. A massive lug of a man, but he has the noticeable demeanor of a gentle giant. Something about him reminds you of a plush toy you once owned as a child.

Tech catches your attention next. He is clearly the intuitive one. He will either be a pain to deal with, or a beneficial asset.

At last, your eyes meet Hunter’s. Such a tiny gesture of nothingness feels like you’ve just been thrust into a timeless world of something far more significant. You quickly dismiss your gaze, but soon find your eyes wandering back to him. His eyes are already on you.

Tech quickly picks up on your silent interaction and nudges Hunter to break him of his trance. Hunter quickly snaps out of it and clears his throat. He is dumbstruck by his response. His heart beats recklessly.

Taking note of his counterpart’s vitals, Tech is left unsettled by the quickening of Hunter’s heart rate. “Hunter, I need you to focus on your breathing. Your heart rate is abnormally high.”

Setting your sight once more on the rugged clone trooper, you catch the ever-changing hue of his cheek…the one that isn’t covered in dark ink. A hint of red paints his untouched skin.

He clears his throat, “Erm-thank you for alerting me Tech. I’ll be aboard the ship.”

Cody shrugs his shoulders at you, “I guess you’ll brief them on the ship. Have a safe trip.”

“Thank you Cody, ” you clap him on the shoulder and follow the rogue crews lead onto their ship.

“Where are we going to go? We need somewhere we can set up camp that isn’t easily tracked, ” Echo declares.

“There is one place I can think of, but I’m not sure that Hunter will be a fan of the location, ” Tech announces apprehensively.

Hunter lets out a groan and tightens his fist.

Wrecker laughs, “Hunter doesn’t like this idea! Which means I like it even more!”

Glaring at Wrecker, Hunter abruptly stands and stomps off into the cockpit.

“Where is it?” Echo inquires. He leans in, intrigued by the atmosphere that has suddenly befallen the Marauder.

“Let’s just say…we’d have to get help from an old friend.”

“Ha! An old friend!?” Wrecker blurts out, “Try an old fla-”

“That’s enough, ” Hunter commands, having regained his composure, “We will attempt to make contact this evening and if we have no response by the morning, we will seek out other options.”

All night Hunter stayed up, much to the dismay of his crewmates, awaiting an incoming communication. His mind told him that it would never come through; his heart made him believe…or at least hope otherwise.

He stretches his arms into the air, releasing a hardy yawn. Tech enters the cockpit, “Anything?”

“Nothing, ” Hunter responds with a hint of despair clouding his words.

Just then, a muffled echo transmits through the comms unit. Hunter nearly falls out of the captain’s chair as he scrambles to the commlink.

“This is Phoenix 178095 trying to contact Clone Force 99. I repeat, this is Phoenix 1780-“

“Copy Phoenix 178095, this is Clone Force 99,” Hunter announces almost frantically.

The only response is silence…until, “Hunter? Hunter, is that you?”

The rugged clones grasp on the comlink tightens, and he touches it to his forehead. His eyes are locked shut, his breath unsteady.

“Yes. It’s me.”

You hear his guttural voice and suddenly, your memories which you’ve strived to suppress come flooding back, knocking the wind out of you.

Attempting to swallow the lump that insists on crowding your throat, you press down the transmitter button, but fail to express your thoughts.

“What?” A menacing voice echoes out, “Lothcat got your tongue?”

You chuckle, pressing the comlink to your forehead, “well if it isn’t my favorite piston head.” Piston head, a nickname you have used to refer to Crosshair for as long as you can remember. You find it fitting because term is in reference to a droid, similar to the droid-like manner in which Crosshair carries himself.

“So!” Shouts a third, brooding and somewhat childish voice, “Are we bunking with you or what?”

“Yes Wrecker, you are more than welcome to stay here.”

“Thank you, ” Hunter softly says into the comm’s mic. His voice still brings warmth to your soul, although the communicator slightly alters it.

“Get here safely.”

“Always do.”

“I know, ” you affirm and disconnect the commlink.

Looking around at the empty room, which mere seconds ago was filled with the sound of your closest friends’ voices, you feel once again plagued by loneliness.

It has been nearly three years since you last spoke to them. Choosing to once again shove your feelings down deep inside you, rather than let the pain consume you, you prepare for their arrival.

“Maybe one day we will meet again, when all of this is over. Perhaps then we will have the freedom to say all that we have long held in, ” you exhaust yourself in the effort to fight back the words that are bottled up inside of you.

A void and emotionless, expression spans across his face as he finally acknowledges the weight of the moment. A single tear threatens to spill over, and he clenches his fist to fight back the giant hole that is forming in his heart.

“Y/N, ” he utters, “I-”

“Hunter! It’s time for us to go, ” Tech calls out.

Your entire body jerks to a standstill when you hear the hum of their ship landing.

Hunter feels a sudden sickening sensation throughout his body.

“Deep breaths, brother. You don’t want your little reunion to be overruled by sweaty palms and rosy cheeks, ” Crosshair teases.

Hunter groans, “We are here for a short period of time until we can safely get back to Kamino. Until then, this is strictly business as usual.”

“Whatever you say Hunter,” he flicks his toothpick into the garbage receptacle with perfect aim.

The leader of the clone force, known for being courageous, daring, and valiant has abruptly shifted to a timid and uncertain man. But that’s just it. He felt like a man. A feeling only familiar when around you. Every other day of the rotation, he is merely a defective clone—a misfit who despite his enhanced abilities, is thrown into combat, aware of the fact that he is completely dispensable. Because he is merely one of hundreds of thousands of others just like him, he feels like he is just another carbon copy dispersed off of a factory line. Yet, around you, he never felt that way.

He watches out the cockpit window and sees you emerge from your homestead. His heart somersaults.

“Shall we disembark Hunter?” Tech asks.

He nods.

You are so lost in your thoughts that you hardly notice the troopers exiting their ship. It isn’t until Wrecker has scooped you up into his arms that you are jostled back to reality.

“Wreck!” You cry out in excitement as you wrap your arms around him.

Crosshair lends you a wink that you flirtatiously mirror. It’s always fun seeing him fight back a cheeky grin.

Tech is clearly holding back, so you eagerly close the distance between you two and envelope him in your arms. Initially, he hesitates but rapidly works up the bravery to reciprocate.

Chuckling at his hold on you, you tease, “I don’t know who gives the stronger hugs! You, or Wrecker.” He quickly releases you and straightens his glasses.

“Who’s this?” You motion towards the pale, almost sickly-looking clone. In fact, he looks more like a machine than a clone.

“I’m Echo, ” he extends his hand to you. Accepting it, you introduce yourself in return.

Hunter appears from behind the group. Suddenly, you lose the ability to think straight, let alone speak. His eyes meet yours and you share a somber smile. Each taking a step toward each other, you close the distance between you. Unable to resist any longer, you throw your arms around him, drawing him tightly to you.

For a moment, he stands frozen. Hunter has imagined the feeling of taking you into his arms again more than he would like to admit. At last, he pushes his thoughts aside and encircles your waist with his strong embrace.

You can feel his heartbeat slowly accelerate; at least your heart isn’t the only one threatening to beat out of your chest. You seemingly melt into each other. His hands softly tracing circles on your lower back.

Knowing that this moment cannot last as long as you’d both like, you hesitantly pull away from him. His hands grip at your hips as if he is begging you to not stray from his grasp. Your heart yearns to pull him back into your embrace and to stay there with him forever.

Becoming aware of the world around you once again, you feel your face flush into a crimson red.

“Why are they just standing there like that?” Wrecker leans down to whisper to Tech.

“Sometimes, the most important messages do not need to be said with words,” he responds softly.

monsters and animals

there are an unfathomable amount of monsters in the world of aesura. some are more prominent in certain lands, others roam everywhere. this is the masterlist of monsters, by continent.

HALISPAR

many like to laugh at the valiant city for the minimal amount of monsters, but anywhere outside of the city is likely to be infested with much more than simple rats and roaches. goblins are known to scout the forests, and even have small civilizations/encampments. there are also frost trolls that can be seen wandering around the more mountainous areas of the north, as well as the legend of giants that the northmen breed with. down south, there are plenty of scorpions, snakes, lizards, and a strange legend known as the bastetbkau that has the body of a leopard, and the neck and tail of a serpent. as for regular animals, halispar is prominent with deer, squirrels, goat, birds, cattle, horses, sheep, wolves, coyotes, bears, and other wildlife and domestic animals, as well as insects.

EASTWOOD

much like the people, the monsters of eastwood are just as bull-headed and stubborn. the naga and basilisk monsters are known to be deep in the underground tunnels, though they usually don’t mettle with others unless provoked. they are said to be descendants of dragons, and some even claim that dragons are still alive. however, they haven’t been seen since the last dragon was slain in 1460 ALS. goblins are also pretty common, though not as common as in halispar. also, there are the common rattle snakes, tarantulas, lizards, and other smaller (but possibly poisonous) creatures. because of their rocky climate, they have many goats, horses, lynx, hawks, centipedes, mountain lions, and other wildlife.

EANNA

there aren’t many common wildlife creatures in eanna. most magic has spread to the animals living there, thus creating this strange, off-brand versions of halispar creatures (such as one-eyed lizards, two-headed goats, and other obscure deformities). this can end up impacting their farming, which is why they trade with hogaku. they have something known as gros oiseau, literally translating to “big bird.” they are rather large (about the size of a bald eagle) frost-phoenix(ish) creatures. there are only a few of them, but they can be a threat to travelers when they sound their shriek. there is also the legend of anguille froide, a large frost dragon that is said to be the true “last dragon”, however nobody has seen him.

PAS D’HIVER

the continent is filled with a lot of different creatures and wildlife, especially with the lack of industrialization. squirrels, rabbits, fox, deer, and other common wildlife can be found there. the continent doesn’t really have many strange creatures, save from these spiritual wisps known as aerañ touseg, or just “aertou” for short. they are magical whisps, similar to the wisps from james camerons avatar, that float around at night. the suiner connect them to liena and their ancestors that are coming down to visit them, or the spirits of animals. recently, there has been sightings of a large monster that has no name. apparently, it’s supposed to be deadly.

BEDROCK OF HISTORY

Poor Wilma! She was so PROUD of her child prodigy Pebbles when she reinvented the wheel. Thus improved upon her grandfather's invention. But when Fred out of jealousy, because a greatly respected shaman-healer had laughed as he had assured Fred he was infertile, because he strongly suspected Pebbles was Barney's daughter, and because he had found out about the frolicsome Barney-Betty-Wilma-Dino foursome; started to invent an exceedingly vile, whole new language called ‘Cuss’; and to use Bedrock as the test bed thereof, and his neighbors and, in particular, his wife Wilma and daughter Pebbles as guinea pigs for . . . well . . .

Bedrock Authorities have finally found out about the frolicsome foursome and summary justice has been dispensed . . . Dino is undergoing rehabilitation as he very much considered the victim in this; though a small but vocal minority wants him at least monitored, as they feel he might well become a danger to Pebbles as she matures . . .

Barney has been made an example and consequentially feed to a giant carnivorous plant. He put up so valiant a struggle that he was spat out part digested and is now fighting for his life in Bedrock Hospital. Bedrock Authorities are still undecided as to whether or not to consider justice to have been served Barney in the event he survives. Certainly his witchdoctors agree, he is unlikely to be capable of engaging in further perversion of like sort upon his release.

Betty and Wilma were likewise sentenced to each be feed to a giant carnivorous plant! (A giant carnivorous clam WAS mooted for a while, but it was deemed TOO far to Clam Cove.) But their sentence was commuted to banishment from Bedrock, when it was discovered they were both pregnant. And by Barney according to the same greatly respected shaman-healer who had aforelaughed at Fred.

The self-same authorities studiously ignoring Fred till - frustrated at being unable to find a Reciter for his lexicon 'Cuss' - he - after imbibing a bladder of heavily fermented berry juice late one night and drunkenly wandering out into the mother of all thunderstorms - had the sudden brainstorm - he later said it felt like being hit by a bolt of lightning, perhaps he literally had been and had just in his drunkenness forgotten about it - of inventing a runic form of Cuss! Naturally comprised of obscene runes.

Just as Barney - then fresh out of hospital - had had his sentence commuted to banishment from Bedrock and been consequently banished! That sticky question settled, Bedrock Authorities tentatively begun building a legal case against Fred. An initially siltstone, then sandstone, and then finally bedrock solid such case; as his growing popularity began to first concern, then worry, then outright alarm, them!

Whilst Fred – now armed with the obscene runes he had invented and on getting demonically possessed for a year (poor Pebbles!) consequent both of getting too drunk and thinking too many vile thoughts - thence commenced to carve his lexicon Cuss therein. Utilizing the inside and outside walls of his home - not to mention fence - to thus create the world’s first - if inordinately doubly obscene - set of Rosetta Stones.

At which point Fred finally – like Barney, Betty and Wilma before him - came up in court on four charges. Or two of indecent invention and two of exposing a child charge to profanity. One of the profanity charges was - as expected – dismissed, but consequent of the other three charges Pebbles went into foster care. An attempt to further sentence Fred failing when Bedrock's citizenry stormed both Bedrock Courthouse and Bedrock Child Protection to jailbreak both Fred and Pebbles.

Fred has been hailed as a great hero by his fellow Bedrockians for inventing the lexicon Cuss, reunited with his daughter Pebbles, elected mayor and triumphantly paraded to Bedrock's - vacant now that Bedrock's former mayor had been literally booted out of town with his own symbol of office, or which is to say: his Fred Flintstone invented jackboots - Mayoral Mansion.

The adjacent protocitystates eventually restoring order and dashing Fred's hopes of uniting them - under the common language Cuss - into the world's first protokingdom with himself - needless to say - as protoking and Pebbles as protoprincess. (Or which is to say: into Flintstone Protokingdom. Not that Fred had not very seriously considered simply calling it Cuss Kingdom early on.)

But of course by then the damage had been done and Fred's lexicon Cuss elevated almost to the state of a religion. A near religion cum near art form that Pebbles took over as head of on Fred dying. Done in as a Martyr to his Cause by the last dregs of Bedrock Resistance to his New Lexical Order. Fittingly in Bedrock Citysquare, as he sought to obscenely rally his likewise obscene adherents to the worthy cause, of turning Cuss into a both fully-fledged religion and fully-fledged art form. And thus a likewise fitting vehicle for a further bid at creating the world's first protokingdom. Only this time with him as its high-priest-photoking and Pebbles as his high-priestess-protoprincess.

Pebbles eventually having her famed Valedictory (she thus became Cuss' first Antimartyr) Vision and denouncing Cuss. Only to have Wilma, Betty, Barney and Bam-Bam (like father like son – that is, he was likewise born well before his time) return from exile to take over Cuss Corpus. Thus build on Fred's and Pebbles’ INDEED great and enduring legacy.

Did Dino - as rumored - eventually succumb to his inner demons, to the point where - late in the winter of his life - he tried to seduce Pebbles just prior her Valedictory Vision? That my friends, is a secret Pebbles took to her Holy Pyre. Whereat a great many of which multitude, had a vision of her spirit rising up from her Flaringly Radiant unburnt body, as a great flaming phoenix! A great phoenix that legend has it grew to firestorm proportions as it was lost to view within the ball of the newly risen sun . . .
