Last night my David @thy-fearful-symmetry was hard at work on our taxes and I was sitting in for moral support and doodle encouragement. I wanted to show how expressive I think Lestat is. He doesn’t even mean to be but can come across as wild and scary.

Inspiration I had Benedict and Rhosh on my mind for Valentines. I adore them as a pairing and I wanted a piece to exist that both shows who they are culturally (a sailor from crete and a monk from france) and how powerfully they're drawn to each other, as soulmates. The later series really has a chaos touch, but the De Landen vampires and their story is quite important to me!!! I've spent a year or more in conversations and once weekly reading, musing on possibilities and dynamics. Especially how that relates to Magnus! Every bit of that appreciation, I hope to some day be in my creative works. Marius De Romanus

I think this is one character that everyone sees a little differently. BUT this is the Marius that I see when I read the books. Roman nose, kind eyes, silky long hair, more of a judgy and severe expression but still beautiful. Funny enough, I have a real person friend that is named Marius, when I met him like 20+ years ago I was like, nahhhhh that’s not your real name. It was 😶
