Binisutoy: This New picture shows where the relationship between Binisutoy ends
Binisutoy: This New picture shows where the relationship between Binisutoy ends.
New Bengali Film "Binisutoy" Movie Review:
Web Desk, Trending News Fox, Kolkata: ‘What’s your name?’ - this question can be the beginning of a film or a story. How many conversations start with the exchange of names, addresses, and identities. And by the way, even if there is talk at the beginning, be it in the case of raga-music, or life. But, last? Can the conversation ever end? If the name of the film is Atanu Ghosh's 'Binisutoy', then the answer is positive. Bini-yarn, meaning without yarn binding.
Tumblr media
The English name of the film is 'Without Strings'. The two people who come from two different positions in society are connected like loose threads to each other, but they are not connected. When two parallel lives meet at any point for a short time, many possibilities open up, what a lot of stories can be created from there! In fact, Atanu Ghosh's picture goes ahead by capitalizing on the idea of this story. The necessity, the importance, the nature of the story - many such commentaries come up in fragmentary scenes and contexts. But the quality of the story, as well as the subject matter, depends a lot on the story-telling. Which is a bit disappointing in the case of this film.
Also, Read Ritwick Chakraborty: "If Politics Is An Alternative To Artists, It's A Danger To People Now"
The film begins with the words of the Russian writer Dostoevsky: "For the secret of man being is not only to live but to have something to live for". The first scene that appears on the screen after that is a big long shot of a huge tree, a bicycle going through its floor. Ritwik Chakraborty's voice can be heard in the commentary in the background, "Every day someone comes to wake us up. When it will come, it is not known in advance. But he will come. ”This uncertainty is not only about the man’s arrival, but also about his identity. We do not know for sure who will come. This amazing uncertainty surrounding human identity is the focus of this film.
Sraboni Barua (Jaya Ahsan) and Kajal Sarkar (Ritwik Chakraborty) were seen auditioning for a reality show titled 'Ke Paabe 50 Lakh'. Sraboni is quite a numb, timid young housewife. When he is asked to say something about himself, he is in a lot of trouble. He walks in front of the camera without noticing while making videos of others. All in all, she is quite incongruous on the audition set. Kajal, on the other hand, is quite agile.
When Sravani suddenly fell in the open field, he took her to the hospital and after first aid, he drank tea. They both deal with their confidence as they choose to embark on their play activities. The camera flashes back to the beginning of that particular day, the prelude to their meeting. Then they spend the rest of the day together. At the end of the day, as expected, they return to their homes.
Also, Read Vande Bharat Express: New Era Is Coming To Indian Railways! High Speed 75 Bande Bharat Express Will Run On The Railway Line
They go back but go back in another form and identity. This is the twist of the story. The director has been confused for a long time about what the new identity is, what their identity is, or the real one. What happens at the end is definitely for the viewers, but this conflict of identity is the main fun of the story. Hundreds of years ago, England's most famous playwright wrote: All men and women on the world stage are just actors. Seeing this picture of Atanu Ghosh, this statement can be given even if it peeks in the corner of the mind.
Atanu himself wrote the story of the film. The story is really admirable. In fact, the concept and definition of the story is the main reliance of this film here. Watching the trailer, even at the beginning of the film, it seemed that maybe an extra-marital love affair would be formed between the two main characters in this film as per the conventional chart. He also had enough materials or possibilities. But it does not happen, there is no way to know if it develops in the next case. Because the picture ended before him.
Also, Read World Photography Day 2021: The World's 1st 'Selfie' Was Taken 182 Years Ago, Find Out Interesting Things
However, the main problem of 'Binisutoy' is storytelling. The story of the movie depends a lot on the scenes and the dialogue, both of which are a bit weak — especially the dialogue. The beginning of the film is quite mature, it also creates enough expectations. But as the picture progresses, it spreads as a result of giddy and weak dialogue. Several scenes seem to be imposed, such as the scene of Sravani's grandfather's house.
Dada (Kaushik Sen) gets very angry when he sees his sister after some past misunderstandings and tries to get her out of the house. In this scene, Sraboni's grandfather suddenly begins to read a poem written by his grandfather, first by his wife, and then by himself, which seems out of place in the flow of the story, as if trying to force a poetic dimension for the sake of art. Perhaps the fact that 'story' has been given so much prominence throughout the film makes the story-telling weaknesses of the film more apparent.
Although Jaya Ahsan's presence with him did not take his eyes off the screen, his acting seems a bit limited. The facial expressions are pretty much static, unchanging throughout the whole picture. On the contrary, the picture has gone a long way in the priest's usual fluent acting. Kaushik Sen is good in the small role, and Chandreyi Ghosh is good in the role of Kajal's wife.

There are some notable frames in the picture that will be remembered even after the end of the picture. For example, an orange placed next to a strange combination of sun and shadow on the railing of an old house, or a shot of Sravani waiting on the floor of a tea shop tent in the sudden rain. In the last frame, the name 'Sraboni' merges with the torrent of rain, and Sraboni literally becomes the symbol of Sravan. Although much of the middle part fell for slow motion and poor screenplay, the last bit of the film is memorable again.
Especially towards the end, a strange soft range is created by making ‘I saw you in the midst of happiness’ in Jaira’s throat. This Rabindragan has also been successful in arranging music as informally as possible. Mixing good and evil, Atanu Ghosh's new film tells a story of different tastes. The cinema hall opened after so many days on him. You can visit 'Binisutoy' once.

Under increasing pressure from the Sangh Parivar and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, the government on Friday took several steps, including the withdrawal of the most favoured nation (MFN) status to Pakistan, to defuse public anger over Thursday’s terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. At least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were killed in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in the Valley when a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden SUV into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district. Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Cabinet Committee on Security, headed by the Prime Minister, met on Friday morning and decided to withdraw MFN status granted to Pakistan in 1996. The move would enable India to increase the customs duty on goods coming from the neighbouring country.
However, trade experts said direct trade between the two nations was not substantial, and Indian products reached Pakistan via Dubai.
Arun Jaitley, who resumed charge as finance minister after a gap of over a month, said after the CCS meeting that India would take all steps to isolate Pakistan globally and ensure perpetrators of the terror attack were brought to book.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express, India’s first semi-high speed train in the morning, and addressed a public meeting in Jhansi in the afternoon, said the neighbouring country could not weaken India by orchestrating attacks and those responsible would pay a “very heavy price”.
“Security forces have been given complete freedom, the blood of the people is boiling...Our neighbouring country, which has been isolated internationally, thinks such terror attacks can destabilise us, but their plans will not materialise,” Modi said, without mentioning Pakistan by name.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh travelled to Srinagar to review the situation and lay wreaths on the mortal remains, which were later flown to Delhi where the PM paid his respects.

Pulwama terror attack Protesters raise slogans and burn tyres during a demonstration against the Pulwama terror attack, in Jammu | Photo: PTI Prohibitory orders were imposed in Jammu after violent protests against the attack. Singh said he had instructed the state government to ensure communal harmony. Sources said the Centre was mulling replacing Governor Satya Pal Malik, a career politician, with a retired army man or bureaucrat.
The government has also called an all-party meeting on Saturday morning, with chances of emotions reaching a crescendo as bodies reach the hometowns and villages of the killed CRPF jawans. Several state governments announced monetary compensation for the families of the deceased jawans.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) asked Ajay Bisaria, India’s high commissioner in Pakistan, to reach New Delhi for consultations. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale summoned Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the MEA and issued “a very strong demarche” demanding that Islamabad take “immediate and verifiable action” against Jaish-e-Mohammad.
ALSO READ: Opposition supports govt after Pulwama attack; all-party meeting Saturday
The MEA also held meetings with the envoys of the P-5, the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. China condemned the terror attack but did not give an assurance to India that it would back New Delhi’s appeal to list the UN-proscribed JeM chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist.
chart Congress President Rahul Gandhi said his party and the rest of the Opposition would support the government in all its actions and stand by the jawans. Former prime minister Manmohan Singh said the country shall never compromise with terrorist forces.
Speaking in Jhansi, Modi said the terror attack was an outcome of the neighbouring country’s desperation as it was in a bad shape and had been forced to go to different countries with a "begging bowl" to meet even its daily expenses.

In Srinagar, the Union home minister said civilian traffic would be restricted during movement of army and security forces convoys. In a reference to Hurriyat leaders, he said security provided to people receiving funds from Pakistan and ISI needs to be reviewed.
The Sangh Parivar continued to up the ante on the issue for a second successive day. VHP international working president Alok Kumar said terrorist bases in Pakistan must be destroyed and expressed hope that the Indian government would respond to it "resolutely, firmly and effectively".

The railways’ target is to operate high speed trains in two categories — at 160 kmph on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata routes, and up to 320 kmph under the ongoing bullet train project between Mumbai-Ahmedabad.
Currently, the average maximum speed of trains on various routes is 99 kmph and the recently introduced Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express touches an average speed of 104 kmph on the Delhi-Kanpur section.
The upgrade of infrastructure to operate trains at 160 kmph includes fencing, upgrade of track and signalling, and elimination of unmanned level-crossings, according to the Railway Ministry.
The railways is in a “transformation mode” and “is in the process of modernisation”, Mr Yadav said, adding that as part of this, the 68000-km broad-gauge track network will be electrified in the next three years.
He said at present, 28000 km is electrified and for next year a target of 7000 km has been set.
The railways will also implement a ‘multi-tracking’ project in the 34000 km ‘highly busy and utilised’ rail network in a phased manner. Additional tracks will be laid in these routes as nearly 96 per cent of the country”s trains ply there, the railway board chairman said.
On bio-toilets, Mr Yadav said 95 per cent of rail coaches have environment-friendly washrooms and the rest will have it in the next two to three months.
Board Member (Rolling Stock) Rajesh Agarwal said 100 units of Vande Bharat Express (semi high speed inter-city electric multiple unit) will be manufactured in the next five years.
Similarly, the railways will produce more aluminium coaches. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to review the railway projects, he said.
The board’s Additional Member (Mechanical) AK Agarwal said the railways is planning to upgrade on a massive scale passenger services and amenities, production of rolling stocks and capacity building.
An MoU was signed in the event between Ghana’s Railway Development Ministry and RITES for implementing the rail projects in that country. Ghana railway development minister Joe Ghartey was present.
The Rail India Technical and Economic Service) or RITES is an engineering consultancy company of the Railways.
CII Director-General Chandrajit Banerjee highlighted the importance of the exhibition when India is in the fast track of development.

India’s Railway Minister Piyush Goyal was brutally trolled after he shared a video purportedly showing India’s first semi high-speed train zipping past at lightning speed, in order to trumpet Modi’s pet “Make in India” initiative.
The minister was ridiculed as it turned out to be a digitally altered video with the speed of the train enhanced by two times, prompting a backlash from Twitter users.
“Massive respect for Piyush Goyal. He just made the video 2X times faster and called it semi-high speed train when he could have made it 6X times faster and called it super high speed train,” wrote one user.
Goyal has yet not commented on the video, which can still be seen on his timeline.

India’s junior minister for finance and shipping, Pon Radhakrishnan also found himself at the receiving end after inadvertently criticising his own government in multiple tweets.
The minister retweeted posts with the hashtag #ModiforNewIndia without reviewing the content.
“#Modi4NewIndia Working for the middle class is low on the agenda of Modi govt,” read one of his tweets.
“Modi govt started the process of online tracking of applications for environmental approvals, bringing down approval time from 600 days to 1,800 days,” read another.
Hundreds of other accounts loyal to Modi and the BJP retweeted Radhakrishnan’s posts verbatim. Some of the tweets have since been deleted.
Pratik Sinha, co-founder of fact-checking website Alt-News, on Wednesday said he had edited a shared Google document that exposed how the BJP’s social media army churned out propaganda on a daily basis and was picked by government loyalists.
How do you get a Union Minister to tweet what you want? Well, you go and edit the trending document made by BJP IT cell, and then you control what they tweet. Thread.

Indian cyber experts have warned of a bitter social media war between the ruling BJP and the main opposition Congress party headed by Rahul Gandhi ahead of a general election due by May.
India’s right-wing groups recently accused Twitter of a “left-wing bias”, saying the network was suspending accounts supportive of the BJP.
On Monday, a 31-member panel headed by a BJP lawmaker, summoned Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to appear before it on February 25.
