Here comes an essay about today's #rundisney half marathon with @bananajamana. I actually received a special 10th anniversary "coast to coast" medal for running in Orlando and Anaheim, which was a nice bonus! I know this is a photo of me alone, but this weekend has very much been about Jamie for me (we just didn't get a picture at the end today, as she was exhausted). Earlier this year I was showing Jamie the other RunDisney medals available and she fell in love with last year's tinkerbell one. I looked up the run, realised it was the week after we were already in Orlando for playlist live, extended our flights an extra week and booked internal flights to Anaheim with the run in mind. Plus it let me nail down some SitC meetings, which is always a nice bonus (buy tickets - it's going to be good!!). ANYWAY! The run weekend finally crept around and because life sucks sometimes, Jamie caught a really bad cold (hands up - I gave it to her in April and feel AWFUL). Jamie had the rest of VEBDA at that point, folllowed by Playlist Live and then this trip to Anaheim for #rundisney. Safe to say that she had little to no rest and didn't properly recover, but stuck it through and did the 10k yesterday (finishing in the top half!!) and the half marathon today. I'm so insanely proud of Jamie Jo and her run this weekend. I'm proud of how she stuck in there, even if she did scare me to death at times with her determination to run with an illness. I'm really happy that she got the medals and had the biggest grin on my face watching Jamie cross the finish line each day 💕 http://ift.tt/2qkz291
