What is your Tav’s…

Favorite Weapon: Great Weapons, generally.  

Style of Combat: Basically a poor man’s hexblade haha. Just blast'em, wack'em, and horrify'em!

Most Prized Possession: Mirkon’s and Arabella's Letters.

Deepest Desire: To have a family and see his brother again. "A fuckin' moment of peace for once!"

Guilty Pleasure: Warm baths (company is welcomed). It's a bitch to prepare, but he loves it.

Best-Kept Secret: He can't swim. He just sorta...flops to shore.

Greatest Strength: Perseverance.

Fatal Flaw: Impatience and Arrogance. He's got a short temper and a shorter tolerance for whatever he thinks bullshit. Which is a lot.

Favorite Smell: Cinnamon. Perhaps from a lingering memory of the comfort of his mother’s baking. But lately, he's been fond of citrus 🍊.

Favorite Spell or Cantrip: So anyways, I started eldritch BLASTIN' 💥!!!.... or Hunger of Hadar

Pet Peeve: Flowery talk. Speak plainly!

Bad Habit: Impulsive.

Hidden Talent: He can play the lute and is a decent singer. He also refuses to disclose this information.

Leisure Activity: Sailing/Fishing

Favorite Drink: Spiced ale

Comfort Food: A hearty stew

Favorite Person: He'll say Karlach or Gale just to get on Astarion's nerves.

Favored Display of Affection (platonic and/or romantic): If he's close with other Tieflings or friends, he'll do the headbutt of love. He's quite tall, so he'll probably ruffle your hair or squeeze your shoulder.

Fondest Childhood Memory: When he was very young, his mother brought him to the theatre she worked at during after hours. He sat by her and listened while she sang just for him.

Question about your characters!! What did the companions see of their memories through the tadpole when they first connected?

A fair hello to you, anon! Many apologies. This took way longer than needed, but I'm finally able to sit and write bwahaha! Thank you for this fantastic prompt. Writing is hard, and this was great practice.

Velric Greyhelm

A sharp pain pierces through your head. Suddenly your thoughts intertwine as one. His feelings become your own. Behind that disarming smile lies a heavy heart. You sense his weariness.

“Fuckin’ hells, who said you could weasle in there!”

An overwhelming flood of memories crash through your mind like waves in a storm, and you hear a name echoing in the distance… “Cleaver”  

The sea does not smell of salt, but iron. On your path to glory you claimed riches unimaginable. Yet, it was never enough to buy back your soul. 

[Insight Check DC 10] Looking past your uneasy suspicions, you notice the light in his eyes fading into a dull glare. He knows what you saw. But, instead of pride you see something else. Shame. Regret.

“Well met, stranger. Are you—”

A strange sensation presses into your mind. You see visions of a life not your own. A young man sits before an unfinished crib, and greets his lover with a gentle smile. You feel his joy.

Suddenly, you find yourself stationed on a high tower, watching as the sounds of battle shriek across the land. Too many have fallen. So much has been taken.

Your breath is steady, and your aim is firm against your cheek. The whisper of your arrow flies to its mark, and delivers your conviction. You shall not die. They will.

(Why was it harder to find outfits than songs?! Tbf I guess I cheated since I just yoinked 5 songs from the playlist I made for him bwahaha)

Notes

Tried to have the song choices reflect Velric's regret. He's ashamed of the vices of his past. And although he tries to do better, he can't help but mourn the life and love he abandoned.

I think for adventuring, Velric would don his usual seafaring clothes. Comfortable, roguish, and stylish. At camp he'd put on a wool sweater, some suspenders, worn slacks, and a trusty 'ol pair of fishing boots. For battle, he'd wear something that allows for freedom of movement; medium armor reinforced with leather padding.
