From my project "Chateaux Forts de Grece". In 2006 the fortresses were exhibited at the Byzantine Museum, ''Byzantines Fortress in Greece'' then, in 2007 the French Embassy in Athens undertook major exhibitions on the ''Fortresses of Greece''-''Chateaux forts de Grece'' in Rhodes, Kalamata, Patras, Athens, Nafplio. Palamidi is the epitome of the architectural fortification art of the Peaceful Republic of Venice. Early 18th century, Hesperia was one of the best fortresses in Europe at the time. In the dramatic siege of 1715, in the last Venetian-Ottoman war (the 7th in a row), it did not withstand the siege, except for 9 days… Let it remain a reference for Nafplion and Greece.
