Turpial Puertorriqueño (Icterus portoricensis) / Venezuelan Troupial / Icterus icterus
"Troupials are the national bird of Venezuela.
•    They are not social birds and defend their territory strongly.
•    Also known as “bugle birds”, troupials have piercing, melodious voices which make it a popular cage bird.
•    Troupials don’t build nests, they use the nests of other birds as their own."

BOTD: Venezuelan Troupial
Tumblr media
Photo: Bjørn Christian Tørrissen
"A brilliant and brash resident of thornscrub, cactus forests and other arid landscapes. Rather large-headed, often sporting a short shaggy crest, with a blue teardrop of bare skin around each eye, thus differing from most other orioles. Vocalizations are mostly loud and flutelike."

Most Dangerous Places in the World to Travel
Traveling to a new place is the best way to learn and grow as an individual. However, there are certain places in the world that are dangerous for travelers to go to. Here is our list of some of the most dangerous places in the world to travel :
North Korea
If you’re planning a trip to North Korea, here are 10 things to keep in mind:
Political instability
Human rights violations
Lack of freedom of movement and expression
Highly secretive country
Highly regulated country
The high number of military personnel per capital
Venezuela
Venezuela is a country in South America. It borders Colombia to the west, Guyana to the east, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago to the south, and is washed by the Caribbean sea in the north. Venezuela is home to more than 300 bird species, including the famous Venezuelan troupial.
Venezuela has a population of 31.5 million people (2014 estimate) who speak Spanish or Portuguese as their primary language (about 54% belong to mestizo shepherds). The official currency used in Venezuela is Bolivar Fuerte which comes with 100 centavos for one Bolivar Fuerte - this makes up for one dollar (USD).
Venezuela has a land area of 916,445 km2 making it slightly larger than Peru but smaller than Argentina.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is a country in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is ruled by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who acceded to the throne on 23 January 2015. The king's official title is "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" and he oversees an absolute monarchy with Saudi Arabia's Islamic system of law based on Sharia.[2] It is considered one of the wealthiest countries in the world, but its government has been criticized for its treatment of women, intolerance towards other religions, and control over media outlets.[3][4][5]
Many countries have banned their citizens from traveling to Saudi Arabia due to terrorism concerns or fear that they may be pressured into religious conversion while visiting Mecca.[6] The U.S State Department warns Americans against traveling to Saudi Arabia due to terrorism threats and advises against all non-essential travel here as well.
Iran
Iran is the most dangerous place to travel in the world.
Iran is a country in the Middle East. It's also a theocratic republic, meaning that it has an Islamic government and constitution. The U.S. State Department warns against all non-essential travel to Iran because of its political situation, which means you should avoid traveling there if possible.
Nigeria and Cameroon
The most dangerous place in the world to travel is Nigeria and Cameroon. It was voted as such by the World Economic Forum, who ranked it as the deadliest country on Earth.
That being said, this region of Africa should be avoided at all costs unless you are completely comfortable with high levels of crime, terrorism, corruption, disease and poverty. There are also high levels of child exploitation, human trafficking and civil unrest. Even if your travels take you here by accident or circumstance (like a failed car engine), make sure that you don't stay long enough for these criminals to do any damage to you or your belongings.
The central African Republic
The Central African Republic is the world's most dangerous place to travel, according to the new Travel Risk Map by International SOS and Control Risks. The country has been plagued by civil war and political instability since 2013 and it's also home to the world's highest level of sexual violence in addition to having one of the world’s highest levels of child mortality.
The CAR is a landlocked country in Central Africa, with some sizeable forest areas along its borders with Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, and South Sudan. It was first colonized by France during its “Scramble for Africa” period in 1887 but gained independence just over a century later in 1960 as part of French Equatorial Africa (AEF). Three years later after gaining independence from France on August 13th, 1962 things started going downhill when Emperor Jean-Bedel Bokassa overthrew President David Dacko who had wanted him out so he could rule without interference from his father-in-law who was also president at that time."
Turkey
Turkey is a beautiful country with friendly people, but it is also a dangerous place to travel. A terrorist attack can occur at any time, and there are many active volcanoes in Turkey. There are also many earthquakes and active fault lines. The country is a major transit point for refugees and migrants who are looking to cross into Europe.
Russia
The most dangerous place for foreigners to travel in Russia is the North Caucasus, which includes Chechnya. In the past few years, it's become almost impossible to visit this region due to terrorism and violence.
The most dangerous places for foreigners to travel in Russia are Dagestan and Ingushetia (two of the Caucasian districts). These areas have traditionally been unstable because they are home to many ethnic groups that do not agree with each other or with the Russian government.
The most dangerous places for foreigners to visit in Russia include Moscow and St Petersburg
Pakistan
In Pakistan, there is a high risk of terrorism and kidnapping. The country was ranked third in the Global Terrorism Index in 2015, making it one of the most dangerous places for tourists to visit.
The country is also home to many factions of terrorist groups including Al Qaeda and the Islamic State (IS). According to World Travel & Tourism Council, there were 446 attacks on hotels and guest houses across Pakistan between 2008 and 2012.
A number of foreign tourists have been kidnapped by terrorists in recent years who demanded ransoms from their embassies or families back home. In 2016 alone there were 13 kidnappings involving foreigners while in 2017 it was 15 incidents involving foreigners being kidnapped from all over Pakistan including the Gilgit-Baltistan region which borders India's Jammu & Kashmir state on its northern side where fighting between Indian forces for independence against Indian rule still continues with regular violence erupting since 1984 when armed groups first started fighting for independence from India's rule over Jammu & Kashmir region but no peace treaty has been signed yet so far despite several rounds of talks being held both sides have not agreed upon anything yet so far at least according to a latest news report published by Pakistani media outlets such as Dawn News Today etc...
The ten most dangerous places in the world (to travel).
The world is a beautiful place to travel, but it also has its dangers. There are certain areas that can be particularly dangerous and it's important to be aware of those places before deciding on your next destination.
The list below consists of the most dangerous places in the world (to travel). It's based on the most recent data available from 2018, which was published by The Travel Security Council (TSC) at the beginning of 2019:
Afghanistan
Somalia
Yemen
Iraq (Islamic State-controlled territory)
Conclusion
There are many places in the world that are dangerous to travel to, but these ten locations were the most dangerous in 2018. These countries are some of the most dangerous places to visit because of political instability and crime. In addition, they’re known for having poor infrastructure and limited access to healthcare facilities due to their remote locations. It makes sense why people want to avoid these places at all costs—especially if they don’t know what they're getting themselves into!
