It was raining the other night and I found such a pretty guy. This is a Giant American Millipede!
I wanna talk about these guys for a minute because they get a badrap.
Unlike centipedes, millipedes aren't venomous, in fact, they can't even bite or sting you! Millipedes have extremely weak jaws because of that they can only feed on soft decaying plant matter, fungi, and flower buds.
Of course, they aren't wandering around without any protection, they do have defense mechanisms. They can produce minor toxins or skin irritants, which this guy actually did after I held him to get a shot of his legs!
The thing is, unless you have sensitive skin or are allergic to what the irritants are made up of (which I'm not) then it's perfectly harmless. Even if you do have sensitive skin, the reaction is very mild and unless you're grabbing them, they aren't likely to secrete the toxin.
These guys get a bad wrap for being creepy and scary when, realistically, they're one of the most docile and harmless bugs out there! They're very cool to hold and feel crawling across your skin thanks to all those little legs (two per each body segment!).
As always, don't pick up any critters if you don't know what they are, or how to properly handle them!
Rewatched the 2004 Phantom of the Opera bc I remembered it existed but I spent like the whole movie getting increasingly dismayed over how normal Erik looked so I decided to draw a more, eh, lore accurate version? at least according to his description in the novel
And Wakui could have forgotten about him, but it feels kinda weird Goshiki isn't present with his siblings – on two different occasions. Wakui decided on 13 siblings. No more, no less. He must have a clear idea of who they are, how they act, etc. He created them, most likely not on the spot, and has a (vague or precise) idea of where he wants to take them. At the very least, if he wants to draw all the 11 we know he can have a list in case he forgets one of them on the moment. Plus. For the characters information, it feels weird one of them gets forgotten. And it's the same that's been omitted before.
So then, there's the possibility it's on purpose. But for what purpose exactly? We surely don't know enough yet about any of them to tell, but. The two siblings we don't know are the 4th and the 7th, and beside the sister there's only Goshiki who stands between them. So. Perhaps that's why he doesn't get too much focus – he's linked to one or both of the missing children so he gets to stay in the shadow for a bit longer. That could also be the case for the sister (her name and adoption order not being disclosed in the manga), but it's a shonen so we unfortunately can't overlook the fact she could have a lesser role solely for being a female character. I hope it's because of the missing siblings tho.
I'm just talking out my ass, don't come at me to challenge my speculations pls 🫠
Also, feel how you want about his appearance, there's no debate it's not a regular design: he has the same kind of eyes as South and he doesn't have a typical manga face – not only for his nose. Wakui put thoughts into it, that's not a background character.
He's the only one among the siblings we know – with Kuran – we didn't see the astro of in chapter one. If he has one to start with.
It's too suspicious. Why is he sidelined.
This one doesn't really count since Satsuki and Kuran are also missing, but Goshiki being once again put aside (even if he's not the only one for once) should be talked about honestly
To be clear whenever I say I miss a fictional character I am joking. That fictional character is actually in my heart. At all times. They’re giving my right atrium a little hug as we speak.
[Start ID. A drawing of @mieczmaszyna 's character Izzy. In the words of its creator, Izzy is a humanoid robot with a white chassis, oval head, black headset, square green glasses, claws, and a tail resembling a cable plug. Ai wears a cowboy hat, vest decorated by a star and bottle cap, pants with tassels, spurred boots, and a red bandanna. He's viewed from the side, kicking up one leg and holding both arms out in front of itself to shoot finger guns, looking excited and rather jaunty. The background is a dull yellow-green, muddied by the warm reddish tone of the drawing, and in paler green are the words "BANG BANG!!" by ais arms. End ID]
coming back with a bang, notes of the piece under the cut
so firstly they meet up in their free time to read because theyre fucking nerds

abt the bg and setting- they are literally sitting on bean bags throw pillows and what not, was just waay too lazy to draw them and theyve got impeccable taste in room designing (banners of their empire yes) and theres libraries too i just too much effor t to draw yk
also the banners were such a pain minecraft sucks (/j) but took inspo from sabira langevin and grinded to make these which look quite nice actually
i tried to keep a colour scheme but joel's mezalean ass was like:
Danny’s most important traits in Formaldehyde are his undying loyalty towards the people around him, a fundamental misunderstanding of how the world works and how he’s perceived within it, and an unstoppable desire to be loved.
Like, the reason he starts his entire revenge quest is because of how what the JL did affected Jazz and his friends. He was perfectly fine with just chilling with the Penguin and Derringer beforehand, but when he saw Jazz in Arkham? All bets were off. Villain arc GO
The reason he continues his quest so feverishly is because of the family he’s found along the way. Every single person working with him is someone he would trust with his life, someone he considers family, and he doesn’t understand that they feel the same way about him.
He genuinely, honestly believes the only reason anyone (minus Jazz) sticks around him is because they want something from him. Power, weaponry, a means for vengeance. He thinks that if he abandons his quest, not only will all his efforts be for nothing, but his family will leave him.
And so, he can never stop what he’s started. He’s in too deep, he loves too strongly, he can’t stop until the people he loves finally have what they want. Maybe if he provides them with the vengeance they so deeply desire, they’ll humor his love after everything’s over. They’ll still pretend to be his family.
Since I've been watching and re-watching Samgladiator's Yandere High School and I drew Sam. I thought it would be very fitting to Draw Coolment. I loved drawing him and I def plan to draw him some more
"what would your character be like without their trauma?" is such a hard question for me because it makes me feel like a massive asshole LMAO
(im attaching a picture of a tundra literally to add context to my ramble in the tags because my posts are structured by a sane person) (you should read the ramble in the tags i talk so much about rivers fsr)
