Sage has always been filled with wanderlust. At age eighteen, she left the small town she grew up in ready to take on the world. Over nine years, her travels spanned continents. She never had much money to her name, but she always found a way to make ends meet in order to keep going on her travels. Eventually, life led her to Vegas. While there, she met a man who had her ready to give up her nomad lifestyle. Unfortunately for her, he wasn’t the sort of guy to give it all up for. He scammed her out of the little money left to her name & left her high & dry. Eventually, out of necessity she decided to lay down roots in New Vegas. Sage talked her way into a job at a swanky Las Vegas restaurant. She started off as a waitress, built her contacts, and now she’s landed herself a coveted position as a hostess at Hades, Vegas’ hottest new restaurant.

Although Sage has been in Vegas for two years, she still doesn’t feel at home there. I really want to explore her finding a place for herself among the chaos of this city. If there’s anywhere that she’s meant to be, it’s probably here. I’m excited to write her during the process of realizing that.

FUN FACTS !! 

* if you asked her to pick a favorite place she’s visited, she couldn’t. each one was an entirely unique experience for her that she wouldn’t trade for anything.  * she hasn’t had a pet since she was a child, since she never wanted to settle in one place, but recently she just adopted a cat from a shelter & she’s honestly shocked by how much she cares for it.  * i wouldn’t say sage is a big partier per se, but she lives for experiences -- so yeah she can get pretty wild when the occasion presents itself, but it’s never for the sake of just getting drunk for no reason. she’s got to get something else out of it.  * sage has two younger siblings that she hasn’t seen in years. she’d send them postcards from her travels around the world, but that’s as much contact as she’s had with them.  * uhhhh ... i’ll be adding more as i go along!

hi friends, it’s anna back for round two with a second muse !! i’m kinda drowning in schoolwork atm but feel free to message me to plot with my latest gal. i’m super excited about her. and btw, she’s on a sideblog so i won’t be following back from here but yeah !!! 

With a famous basketball player for a father, Lexi grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth, never having to want for anything. She was raised in the upper crust, amongst the highest echelons of society. Although the Walters were new money, Lexi played the part well and found acceptance amongst her peers (most of whom were far more wealthy than she was). During her prep school & college years, Lexi developed a bit of a wild streak, which lead to her dropping out of USC and finding herself in Las Vegas.

At first, she was just there for the partying, but soon found herself at home in the city. Now, ten years later, Lexi is looking to prove herself. She’s no longer that same reckless girl she was when she came to Vegas in the first place. She wants to be taken seriously, to be something more than her father’s daughter. Space is the perfect way to do that. She’s had no trouble finding investors. Now, she’s simply worried about Space maintaining it’s status as the hottest spot on the Vegas Strip.

adrian was a bit of a child prodigy. classically trained in piano from the age of four, he attended the finest east coast prep schools from boyhood through adolescence. like all bored rich kids with too much time on their hands and a disgusting amount of money to burn, he went through his rebellious phase. at nineteen, a night in handcuffs in a freezing cell soon became a trial for destruction of public property. the judge, carrying his own preconceived notions of the wealthy, assigned him 18 months of community service to make an example out of him. it was during this time that adrian finally learned the value of hard work, but by the time he finished his sentence, it was too late — his mother and father had disowned him for the embarrassing incident that tarnished their family name. with his parental abandonment came an even greater loss — that of his trust fund, leaving adrian strapped for cash for the first time in his life.

feeling somewhat responsible, his probation officer hooked him up with a job scrubbing dishes at a local seafood place and gave him a place to crash. over the next few years, he worked his way up from minimum wage to manager, but he wasn’t content giving up the life he was accustomed to just yet. setting his sights on opening a place of his own, adrian fought tooth and nail to charm potential investors, often accepting money from some not-so-great sources to fund his culinary endeavors. in may of 2010, his first restaurant threw open its doors in chicago — and after a shitty first year where the critics tore the novice to threads and he learned a lot about the ins and outs of the business, it was only up from there.

nowadays, adrian is the not-so-invisible hand behind three different five star establishments in the continental us, and one in london. for the last three years, he’s been putting in the groundwork to set up shop in none other than the heart of new vegas. it’s taken a bit longer than expected, thanks to the recent change in leadership, but his brainchild is finally off the ground and bringing in business with the help of close friend and queenpin, josie vitale.

personality, fun facts, good snacks:

an douchebag but like….. in a Nice way. world’s nicest asshole. very easy to hate but never outwardly rude or aggressive. he’ll drag u to filth with a serene smile, then slip you a hundie for your troubles. i h8 him.

i forgot to mention this above but he grew up on the connecticut gold coast, his fam had vacation homes all over the world tho ( top secret intel: he still has keys to a few of ‘em and visits just to fuck with his parents stuff )

he’s rich again !!!! not as rich as he once was, but he’s definitely not shy about flaunting his money. my mans has expensive taste in everything from suits to liquor. loves the finer things in life.

loves to cook and loves to eat. his restaurant menus are pretty experimental and constantly changing, but he’s been known to indulge in a greasy burger or a bowl of mac n cheese every now and again — respect the classics !!!!

i’m thinkin he lives at the ace of spades full time in one of their fancier hotel suites. he hasn’t quite put down routes, unsure of where life plans to take him next, but he loves the debauchery of vegas and all the shit it has to offer.

its me, hales, again, ur local homework ignorer, w/ a new character! alle owns sapphire, is 27, and has only lived in vegas for a handful of years. way more info about alle is under the cut. 

◘ Allegra moved to Vegas when she twelve, after her parents divorce. Immediately, she was captivated by the glitz and glamour that lay out ahead of her.

◘ She was sixteen when she got her first job, waiting tables at a restaurant on the strip, that she realized the city was nothing like she thought it would be.

◘ She was a sheltered child, always did what her parents told her to do, and never stepped so much as a toe out of line.

◘ When they moved, accommodating for her mother’s job, she expected to hate it. She’d pitched a fit, begged to continue living with her father in Chicago, and was adamant that she would never forgive her mother.

◘ Halfway through the plane ride, she was over that. She’d never been able to hold a grudge, after all.

◘ She graduated from high school, went on to get her degree in business, minoring in dance, and after graduating from college, decided that even though she didn’t like the seedy underbelly of Vegas, she wanted to open her very own club.

◘ That’s where Sapphire was born. She’d always loved to dance, but never thought it was a suitable career move. Her parents were a lawyer and a doctor, and she knew all about making lucrative choices to further herself.

◘ She took the risk, though, and it paid off tenfold. Her father — and her first investor — was proud, and that was what she’d always wanted, anyway. To make him proud.

◘ Though she rarely sees her father, and doesn’t see her mother much more often anymore, she loves them both dearly. However, she has a business to run, and that’s where her priorities lay at the moment. She makes an effort, but she’s seen many plans change to accommodate her business.

ok so julian is trying really hard to go legit after running with a gang in his hometown for longer than he's willing to admit. he ran away with his sister and fled to vegas shortly after it became its own territory and he's doing anything and everything he can to keep him and sutton safe.

he's also got a bit of a problem with alcohol i think but its like not Officially Alcoholism??? idk he drinks he doesn't do drugs but he def drinks more than he should. he also doesn't really care about all this dumb rivalry stuff, he's just here for the paycheck.

he also is constantly looking over his shoulder bc he thinks the past is going to catch up to him. no one leaves the way he did, and he's sure that he and sutton are going to get found out and screwed over. he's not ready for that. he's finally starting to feel safe.

i think that's all for now??? i'll update y'all as i come up with more. but he's an all around Good Kid who got caught up in some bad shit to protect himself and his sister, and he's trying to dig himself out of the hole he put himself in but he keeps getting shoved right back in.

elora was born and raised here in las vegas. she was very close to her grandmother who was a ballroom dancer and actually owned a studio here in las vegas after she retired from professional dancing. elora always wanted to follow in her footsteps - and she did. she won the world ballroom competition in her early twenties before making a switch and in her late twenties, winning the world latin dance competition when she was in her mid-twenties and has won numerous other, smaller competitions. 

she retired from dancing though, two years ago because her grandmother passed away and someone needed to keep the studio alive. it’s not big, but it has trained some of the most promising dancers. she wants to continue that. while professionally, her life has been how she always dreamed it to be, the same cannot be said for her personal life. 

it took her until she was twenty-four to figure out that she wasn’t interested in men, leaving a trail of failed relationships in her wake. her career took off after she realized that and so, it’s only in the last two years that she’s been able to focus on her love life - something that just isn’t going smoothly. she’s liked people but they always turn out to be disappointments in some way. debt, already married, still going through a divorce, actually straight and just experimenting… she’s had it all and she’s tired. 

most of all, she just wants to settle down. she is tired of being on her own. she wants a family of her own, she wants to have dance studio thriving and she wants to be able to relax, but whether that will ever happen is the question. 

obviously, she loves dancing but she also took evening classes in spanish, purely because she finds it such a beautiful language. she also likes cooking and trying new foods. the dance studio is called ‘the dancefloor’ and teaches children as young as five all the way up to adults. they have day classes for people who want to go professional and they have evening classes for recreational dancers and children.

BENJAMIN MURPHY was born in new jersey. his mother passed away shortly after giving birth, and he was left with his piece of shit father to raise him. as far as he knows, he’s an only child, but his pops probably had some other kids floatin around the east coast. that wouldn’t surprise benny. 

his pops was a BIG gambler and a crook. he almost lost benny to a relative a few times, due to his neglect for his son, but he worked his way around keeping ben from going into foster care, simply so he could write him off as a dependent on his taxes. what a shit. additionally, he once lost the shitty apartment the both of them were living in to someone in a poker game. that one incidence, in fact, is what brought the both of them to vegas. with nowhere else to go, benny’s dad thought this was the perfect opportunity for the both of them to head west to vegas, where he could REALLY win big. at just nine years old and to much of his dismay, benny just went along with him. 

benny was always a smart kid! top of his class. in addition to going to school, he was able to start working early as a bus boy and a bellhop in order to bring in extra (and most) money to support himself and his son of a bitch dad. 

my boy benny had an okay time in vegas, though he grew to resent the place that occupied most of his father’s time, attention, and money. he had no extra money to pack up and leave, so he just stayed in vegas through high school, all the while his father was trying (and failing) to win a cool mil or two via various games of chance all around the strip. 

it wasn’t until the very DAY ben graduated high school that his father’s endless gambling finally paid off. instead of attending his own son’s graduation, ol’ mr. murphy was chillin at the slot machines when he hit a lucky streak and ACTUALLY won $500,000, all at once. the excitement and irony was just too much for benny’s dad though, and he dropped dead of a heart attack just minutes after he won. 

that day was a mix of emotions for benny. he was upset his father wasn’t at his fucking graduation, but that redeemed itself when he found out that the money his dad won, the money that KILLED ol’ mr. murphy, would all be rewarded to benny. 

benny knew this sum wouldn’t be enough to support him forever, but he knew it could definitely get him a head start. because he was an exceptional student, he earned himself a scholarship at stanford that would cover a few of the biggest expenses that come with attending an ivy league school out of state. with the blessing of the rest of the money though, he figured he should put it to good use and go to law school. he wanted to make a life for himself that was completely above board, unlike his dad. 

he returned to vegas shortly after he graduated law school, simply because it was the only place that really felt like home. he may have resented it before, but it was his own choices that brought him back. and he could live with that. 

now! my son opened up his own firm not far from the strip. he worked for a prestigious firm previously, but really couldn’t shake the desire to be his own boss and make something of himself BY himself. or at least, mostly by himself. 

as far as his personality goes... my guy is on the straight and narrow. he has a real passion for justice and people. he’s not tempted by crooked dealings, (at least for now) as he saw those kinds of things greatly contribute to his father’s downfall. he’s kinda charming and a little bit of a smart ass! the whole lawyer thing... it works for him. he’s got a soft spot for people! rather than corporations. he’s totally friendly unless you give him a reason to hate you. kinda not afraid of anything.
