Okay so i don't have energy for this but. X File's Nazi Scientist and, quote most evil Nazi, Victor Klemper, very VERY clearly got his name from Victor Klemperer, an ethnically Jewish, German scholar and diarist who documented his experience of the third reich under the title "i will bear witness to the very end". Needless to say he was NOT a Nazi but in fact a victim of them.

This is FUCKED UP. It's already incredibly messed up that they made a parallel between the Holocaust and the Secret Government Conspiracy who gasses actual extraterrestrial ALIENS. And then Mulder and Scully visited the Nazi Scientist in his cute winter garden where he got to defend himself, speaking about how much his science advanced humanity as a whole. That's bad enough. But naming him after a Jewish person who was actively involved in an opposition? That's just. Inexcusable??? Someone on that team made that choice.

If anyone has any articles speaking about this or anti semitism generally in the x files, please please do let me know. I'm just a German goy, I would love to read an actual Jewish persons perspective. There must be something out there i just CANNOT find anything.

As observers of totalitarianism such as Victor Klemperer noticed, truth dies in four modes, all of which we have just witnessed. The first mode is the open hostility to verifiable reality, which takes the form of presenting inventions as if they were facts. . . .  The second mode is shamanistic incantation. As Klemperer noted, the fascist style depends upon 'endless repetition,' designed to make the fictional plausible and the criminal desirable. . . . At rallies, the repeated chants of 'Build that wall' and 'Lock her up' did not describe anything that the president had specific plans to do, but their very grandiosity established a connection between him and his audience. The next mode is magical thinking, or the open embrace of contradiction. . . . It involves the self-deifying claims the president made when he said that 'I alone can solve it' or 'I am your voice.' The pieces are rather like MIRRORS MADE OF SOUND -- some would say shards of glass & barbed-wire -- mirrors that reflect in an open, honest, naked way the violent insanity of the present cultural, political moment.The basic theme is simple:Humanity seems caught in a contradiction between the Demonic and the Divine, caught between, on the one hand, the self-destructive violence of war and conflict, and, on the other hand, the great promise of the natural intelligence of Nature, the Sacred, and the living Earth. Becoming aware of this contradiction and how it manifests as a formative force in our culture, our politics, our thought and consciousness -- and, indeed, our art and music -- is, I think, a central challenge of our time.The texts used are generally selected at random. Computer synthetic speech is preferred here as a way of mirroring how mechanical our actual human speech -- to my ear so loud, fast, aggressive, utterly without rhythm and breath -- has become. Individual words, phrases, fragments of public discourse, documents, outright lies, propaganda, etc. are distributed using chance operations which then go on to form complex, polyglot temporal vortices. At the same time, two historical source texts -- embodying this contradiction between the Divine & Demonic -- are juxtaposed with each other throughout the whole. These are translations from the German, and are from J.S. BACH & Hannah ARENDT, Victor KLEMPERER, & from the English texts of David BOHM. The avian soloists featured here are native to the borderlands, the Black-capped Vireo...back natural and modulated for our orchestra.In addition, there is a VOCAL OCTET background stream--a kind of isometric motet, if you will, based on one of my MINIATURES, a 32-step sutra that goes:"The simplest & most powerful of all possible freedoms, is the freedom to stop doing what is contradictory or wrong."(As always with sutras, this is a question which asks, "Is this true?" 32-steps means in THE CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE 32-syllables. De l’arrivée d’Hitler au pouvoir en 1933 à la capitulation allemande en 1945, le professeur Victor Klemperer tient un journal secret dans lequel il raconte la vie quotidienne d’un juif allemand sous le Troisième Reich. Le même journal lui sert aussi de carnet de notes pour une grande étude qu’il rêve d’écrire s’il parvient à survivre. Le sujet en est la langue nazie, cette nouvelle langue que tout le monde parle, Goebbels comme l’homme de la rue, les fonctionnaires de la Gestapo comme les juifs eux-mêmes, qui reprennent sans s’en rendre compte la langue de leurs bourreaux. Résister à la tyrannie de cette langue empoisonnée devient pour Klemperer plus important que la survie elle-même.

Eine dokumentarische Reise in die Zeit der Räterepublik als „sichtbares Hörspiel“

mit Live-Musik, Bild- und Videoprojektionen. Am 7. April 1919 wird die „Räterepublik Baiern“ in München ausgerufen! Wie erleben die Münchner Bürgerinnen und Bürger den Alltag in der neuen Räterepublik:

Herrschen fortan Chaos und Gewalt?

Ist die Münchner Frau nun „Gemeinschaftseigentum“ – wie in Zeitungsartikeln außerhalb Münchens behauptet wird?

Was bedeutet die Existenz eines Revolutionstribunals?

Wie agieren die Exponenten der verschiedenen politischen Strömungen?

Auf welche Weise versuchen sie die Stimmung in der Bevölkerung zu beeinflussen?

Und zu guter Letzt: welches Lied sangen und pfiffen die Menschen in den Cafés und auf den Straßen Münchens?

In „Dreieinhalb Wochen im Münchner Frühling“ zeichnet das „Kollektiv Herzfeld“ die spannenden historischen Ereignisse im April 1919 ausschließlich auf Basis von Originaldokumenten, Bildern und Videos dieser Zeit nach.

Wir lassen dabei die Zeitzeugen Thomas Mann, Victor Klemperer, Josef Hofmiller, Erzbischof Faulhaber, Gustav Landauer u. v. m. „zu Wort kommen“ und versuchen durch mannigfache Perspektivwechsel die Distanz von über hundert Jahren auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren.
