So I got back and ran into the apartment exactly 1 minute before the curfew, and right on cue the first explosions of the night started. Home, sweet home! Otherwise, my trip to Vienna was superb. I had a great time at the conference, with some good consequences for my future work, and treated myself to a weekend of indulgent walking in a pre-Christmas inner city, and art galleries - some revisits of old favorites, some new. So now I have IDEAS - Virgil tagging along to Scott's business or political trips to Vienna for concerts and galleries (and early Christmas shopping). Virgil bribing Scott with food for company to art exhibits (it takes a full Sacher torte and looooots of street food). Them ending up having fun at the magic Christmas fair by the Rathaus and trying out the skating ring.
