Are there any OCs in this chapter/fic? Who’s your favorite? (as I've read your previous fics, I always enjoy the worlds you paint and the characters in the painting)

Hello again my dear!! And thank you so much, you are so lovely!! ;w; <33 I get so embarrassed about my use of OCs I have to admit, so it means a lot to hear that you enjoy them!

You know my writing! There are indeed OCs in... I think all of my WIPs actually... Though one of the WIPs is just a silly crack fic that guest stars one shotgun-wielding old French lady.

There are only two original characters in Axis, because I wanted to keep the cast small and focused on the Andy-Nicky-Joe dynamic. They are a father and son, called Freyr and Lárus. Nicky feels particularly sentimental and protective about the boy, Lárus, who is about 8 or 9. Sweet thing who wants to be a big grown man like his viking ancestors but is also young enough to be sad about lambs having to be slaughtered so they can eat.

The other WIP (new queer quartet adventure) is still in early development but I can tell you there will be a family of nobles, whose blind 11-13 year old daughter Quynh is hired to chaperone. I have a few other ideas floating around for background characters, just to bulk up the story and add more dynamics. I find it so hard to write these fics with only four characters omg... I gotta invent someone for them to fight with or become friends with dsfghf. And someone must always die or get hurt! I promise I did not intend to be an OC writer but here I am I guess.

As for favourites, I'm really enjoying working on the kids. So I'd say both Lárus and the noble girl (will get back to you on a name!). I just think the old guard has always had a soft spot for children, and that kids really trust them. <3

like the last ask had spoilers but this one especially 

Why I like them: She’s pretty darn delightful when she’s just trying to do what she thinks is right and what she thinks is right just leads her to becoming one of the seasons’ antagonists! I also like her bc it’s a radical departure from what Vinnie was like and I respect Lauren for sticking to her guns on consistently playing a character like thatWhy I don’t: There was a lot of times where I couldn’t super gel with her characterization, and I couldn’t really get into the character’s head which I like to do w/a lot of characters. That’s been cleared up in the recent arc where we finally see the full extent of just how dedicated she is to serving ghanny, but before that it was hard to gauge how genuine she was about anything Favorite episode (scene if movie): like I said I’ve been enjoying her character a lot more ever since she fully took on a more antagonistic roll against everybody, so from her encounter with zoey in hawthorne house where she tried to knock her out up until nowFavorite season/movie: she’s been a delight in this season! it’ll be really cool for people who started with ilium to go back to lorelei and find her cameos thereFavorite line: if there was a previous one it’s overpowered by the sheer force of “YOU FOOLS!!!”Favorite outfit: I like the little outfits lauren drew for Dora before the campaign even started, and I can imagine dora has good style no matter what OTP: I was rooting for dora’s polyamorous relationship with the rocs, tho now that she’s fucked off fully to go serve in ghanny’s steed I have doubts the relationship can be mended :( Brotp: I like her weird little friendship with winniefred, there’s this implied history between them since they’ve been ilium the longest and dora probably gave off some pretty good vibes back then bc of who she is as a person 

Head Canon: When she became ghanny’s avatar, she not only got blackened eyes but also a wicked cool new outfit that has a similar pattern to the cover of her ghanny diary Unpopular opinion: even tho I just said that I wanted her to make things work with the rocs, it felt like there was never quite enough time dedicated to their relationship once it was actually happening - just brief mentions that they were in fact having freaky sex and hanging out together - and i missed the more emotional connectivity of earlier scenes like when claudia wonders what the fuck dora is even going on about A wish: It’s honestly tragic how isolated and lonely Dora is considering her only close friend atm is Ghanny, who’s been described several times as being abusive. I hope that she might be able to find a better friend who’s willing and able to stick by her, one who isn’t a literal abomination.   An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: I hope she doesn’t have to end up killing any characters I really like @v@5 words to best describe them: ruthless, mischievous, lonely, rude, dramaticMy nickname for them: just Dora works fine
