▫️Last time we talked about Plitvice, today it’s KRKA! 💦 National Park KRKA is not only about the waterfalls you see in the picture 😏 Although it is the main attraction of the National Park, the area which is protected reaches 109 kilometers square! 😱 Whole Krka River is under protection! Interestingly the area of National Park is said to have second highest density of Lavender in Europe! ☺️ Ohh, how great it smells there! ❤️ If you are going to visit this National Park, don’t forget about other interesting places it has to offer! Among all of them we recommend Roški Slap, Visovac and Orthodox Monastery Krka! 🤩 They are very worth visiting and somehow majority of tourists miss out on them! 🤷🏻‍♂️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📸 repost @mblockk Caption @mediterantravel 📍Krka National Park, Croatia⠀⠀ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #holidayincroatia #croatia #krka #krkanationalpark #krkawaterfalls #krkanationalparkcroatia #dalmacija #dalmacijaumomoku #dalmatia #croatiafulloflife #croatiatravel #croatia🇭🇷 #croatia_photography #croatiafullofmagic #croatiatrip #croatiafullofnature #croatiapostcards #croatialove #croatia_instagram #croatiancoast #beautifulcroatia #croatia_ig #lovecroatia #visitcroatia #croatiaonmymind #croatiafullofcolours #croatie #croatie🇭🇷 #kroatien #kroatia

ŠIBENIK
Surrounded by fortresses St. Nikola, St. Ivan and Šubićevac, Šibenik is a harmonious combination of the old city centre with narrow and steep streets and the modern architecture. Šibenik is mentioned for the first time in the charter of king Petar Krešimir IV, the reason why it is called Krešimir’s city.
Closely connected to the territorial expansion and development of the early Croatian country, the historical city of Šibenik is rich in cultural and historical monuments. The most famous among them is without any doubt the cathedral, one of the most original buildings of the European late Middle Ages. In the proximity of the cathedral there is also the bishop’s court, the city hall, the prince’s palace...
Šibenik today is a tourist centre situated in the area where the best-indented group of islands in Europe (the Kornati archipelago) and karst hydrographical phenomena (Skradinski buk, Visovac, Roški slap) come together into the most attractive ecological, aesthetic, tourist and recreational area on the Croatian part of the Adriatic.

Visovac island in the middle of Visovac lake 😍 About 6km upstream from Skradin Visovac island is the site of a Franciscan monastery that dates from 1576. I would venture to say that it may be the world's most stunningly located monastery. The austere walls and towering bell tower are protected by a circle of cypresses that point to the sky like swords. Beyond the tiny island lies the trout-filled waters of the lake which, in turn, is protected by high karstic cliffs. The effect is magical. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMrpsLGs6gn/?igshid=o2mu1on8jzwy
