We don't talk enough about how good Namivivi's dynamic truly is. Vivi is a princess with the need of liberation and freedom only being a pirate provides, and Nami is exactly everything she's been wishing for. And when they actually manage to be together and find themselves, Vivi is not allowed to talk about it publicly because it would mean the end of her reputation as a princess. The only thing they have to prove they're connected is an X in their arms that ended up fading away. And it's not even the cliché trope of "princess waiting for pirate girlfriend to come back and save her" because Vivi is a pirate too. It's a "right now we can't be together, but we will, and it's kind of killing me that it can't be right now". They miss each other so bad it makes my heart shatter completely.
