Greetings! This is VenturianTale Wiki administrator K9OK speaking.

Improving the VT wiki has been a dream I've had for a long time. There's a whole list of problems with it (that I made. Link at end of post). And with that list comes my attempt to crossing all of those off. This has technically been a project. I initially started this project by myself but I am making this post to get some reach and maybe to get a team of people together (as well as casual editors) together to help improve this wiki

Please! If you are at all interested I would love to have you come aboard. Even if you don't think you could help that much, just being here and keeping up will help. I will be posting updates on this blog so follow if you want to keep up. Also asks are open so feel free to suggest anything!

VT Wiki Redux

VT Wiki Redux is a project to improve the VenturianTale Wiki! There is a list of improvements that are underway.

Anyone is encouraged to join so if you feel like either helping out or just keeping up with what we're doing here, view the pinned post.

Plan going foward

Greetings!

Afte talking with some friends last night I decided that my best course of action right now is to do in depth character pages on smaller characters with fewer appearences (along with doing video pages of the videos they appear in)

This will allow me to get characters done and out of the way, will allow me to get a good amount of videos done that I know will be important, will add a structure to create the larger character pages, and will generally let me practice making character pages on characters that don't have hundreds of videos full of information.

The first character I'm planning on doing is Light Zeron, seeing as I happen to already have a playlist containing every video that he appears in.

If you have any other characters you want to see pages be redone with, please tell me in either the notes or an ask. I will add it to the list.

I already think I'm going to do KC as I believe she only appears in 2 videos and she doesn't actually have a wiki page yet unfortunately.

Uploading video files is now complete!

Over the past month I've been working on uploading all 1624 VenturianTale Garry's Mod videos to the VT wiki. Included on each file page is a link to the video's page. This will allow me to make a list of all the videos I have yet to do.

My main goal now is to go through videos and complete the easier parts of the pages, and occasionally fully complete a video page. My goal is 10 small video pages a day, and 1 large video page every 2 days.

The large video pages are being chosen based on submissions of videos that people would like to see. So please, don't be shy on recommending videos. I'll also probably be making a few more posts asking for video suggestions.

The only video wiki page request still in queue is the Werewolf mod, so that will be what I focus on over these next couple days.

Other fully completed video wiki pages include: Cardboard Friend Mod, Funny Velociraptor Playermodel, Movie Theater Popcorn Mod, Haunted by Cardboard Friend, and Dragon Flying NPC Mod. So check those pages if you want to know what to expect.

As always, if you have any suggestions on how I may improve these pages, please tell me, or just make those changes yourself if you're up for it.

On the file for Gmod SCARY BATMAN 4 Player Horror Map! (Garry's Mod) there is a message an unknown fandom user made in December of 2014.

It's messages like this that really show how much people loved this channel. Even if the siblings were frequenting the wiki, they would likely never see this as File changes aren't catalogued with most changes.

As the wiki updates, there will be less and less personal notes like this, and while unfortunate, it is not going to go away completely. So many people poured their love for this channel in this wiki, sometimes even when unpractical, and there'd be no way to remove all the heart (nor would I want to).

A big reason why Fan Pages are still up on the wiki are because it shows how people cared, and instead of ridding the wiki of this content that, frankly, doesn't belong on an informational wiki like this, it's amazing to see how this community was shaped. From young kids, to teenagers, to adults, we've come a long way.

My post today is a call to action

This is in the Trivia section on Maddie Friend's page. Me and a couple others have tried to find the source unsuccessfully. If anyone would know the source on this claim it would be greatly appreciated.

Holy cow! Thank you for all the support so far on this project. It really means a lot to me that people are interested what I have to say.

I know I haven't talked about what I'm working on, as far as wiki stuff goes, in a little while, so allow me to shed some light on what has been going on.

I'm currently working on uploading gmod videos to the wiki that haven't been uploaded yet. It's important to me for people to be able to put the video files they need into an article, mostly for the appearances list section.

I am currently on video 800 out of 1625, so around halfway through uploading them all. It is a slow but steady progress. with an average of 100 per day, but there are outliers where I get a lot less done (busy).

After I upload all the files, my next goal is to go through them and put down the basics for each video. A video page has a lot it could say, but i want to be able to say some important things about videos without spending hours working on synopses, quotes, trivia, screenshots, etc.

I'll be going through around 10 videos each day and writing the intro paragraph, the video synopsis, the video infobox, listing the appearences, and the video categories, as well as additional information if convinient to add.

On top of that, the plan is to get at least one full video page done at least every 2 days. (It takes quite a bit of work so I don't want to put it on me to do one every day).

There are already a few videos with a complete video page. These videos are the original Cardboard Friend video, Popcorn Mod, Dragon mod, and Velociraptor Playermodel mod. Visit those pages on the wiki to see what to expect with a full page.

If anyone has suggestions on what videos they want turned into full pages. feel free to tell me in the notes or in my askbox. I already have one in my queue which I have yet to do (werewolf mod) so that's next on my agenda.

Thank you again for all the support. If you feel like helping me out on making full video pages, that would be greatly appreciated. It is one of the most time consuming parts of this whole project considering just how many videos there are, but I believe it is worth it considering how much information we'd be able to tell by having these pages laid out this way. The main thing it allows is for people to check a source without having to tread through an entire video, which I think is important.

According to multiple pages on the VT wiki, Johnny Roast and Ronnie / Johnny Boast are both original members of Paranormal Investigators Extraordinaire.

However, I have yet to see a source on this claim and I have yet to find the video in which this is stated.

It seems that the majority of people say that they are main characters, though 3 out of the 17 people said that neither were main characters.

Thank you all for your input. I am admittedly a little surprised no one said that Spooker was a main character without Colon, but I'm glad no one separated them
