Relationships occasionally require compromise.
He got me to wear a dress for the wedding. I got my favorite motorcycles to be part of the ceremony. 😍
(This is one of the few photos where my broken toe is not visible. Good thing is that the colors of it fit our theme of black & purple! 😄)

Practical Advice for FPV VTX
Here are some practical tips to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of your FPV VTX:
Avoid Ground Contact with Frame and VTX Antenna Some drone frames come with a carbon fiber hole that allows you to mount the SMA antenna connector directly. While this may seem convenient, it can lead to unintended contact between the conductive carbon fiber frame and the antenna ground. Such contact can potentially result in your VTX catching fire if any live wire touches the carbon fiber frame. Additionally, it can introduce unwanted noise into the system, causing various issues, including VTX overheating due to increased resistance.
Never Power On a VTX Without an Antenna It's crucial never to power on your VTX without having an antenna connected. Without a properly connected antenna, when you activate your VTX, there's nowhere for the energy to dissipate, leading to a buildup of heat inside the transmitter. Over time, this excessive heat can damage your video transmitter. To ensure the safety and longevity of your VTX, always have a suitable antenna securely connected before powering it on.

One more week until the wedding.
We started the morning with brunch then cleaned up the bikes that will be coming with us. I thought T was going to bring his Ninja since that is his favorite but he thought he should bring his VTX to match mine.
Now we are working on assembling the gift bags. We went with a theme that fits us and will, hopefully, be meaningful to our guests as well.
The bird seed hearts was my favorite bit
but then the trees arrived 😍
I hope everyone else loves these as much as I do!!! I am so grateful for those who will be spending our day with us.

Factors to Consider When Choosing the Best FPV VTX
Frequency, Brand, and Channels: Selecting the right frequency, brand, and channels for your FPV VTX is akin to adjusting a radio or TV antenna. To ensure a high-quality transmission, it's essential to match both the band and the channel of your video transmitter (VTX) with your video receiver (VRX) on your goggles.
If you typically fly alone, this might be less critical. You can simply verify that your goggles' technical specifications are compatible with the frequency, channel, and band used by your VTX. However, understanding these nuances becomes crucial if you plan to engage in racing or enjoy group flying with friends.
Frequency: The majority of video transmitters operate within the 5.8GHz frequency range. Analog VTXs typically have a bandwidth of 30MHz. For example, units like DJI, Caddx Vista, and Runcam Link, with a 25mbps bitrate, function on a 20MHz bandwidth. Meanwhile, devices with 50 Mbps bitrates, such as DJI, Caddx Vista, and Runcam Link, require a 40MHz bandwidth for operation.
Brand: Each video transmitter is designed to operate on at least one specific band, typically indicated by a capital letter (A, B, D, E, F, R, etc.). To determine which bands your VTX is compatible with and to ensure it matches your goggles' video receiver, consult the documentation provided with your VTX.
Channel: In general, each band supports a maximum of 8 channels, distinguished by a number (1-8). It is crucial to ensure that both your VTX and your goggles are set to the same band and channel to establish a successful video transmission.
These considerations are vital in choosing the right FPV VTX setup for your specific flying needs.
