cheeky furry thang !

After several training sessions, Minseo had become desensitized by the gross aspects of pet grooming, but she would still wrinkle her nose at the signs of fleas. She was going to try her hardest to not appear grossed out in front of the camera and rather focus on helping the trio of kittens against the bloodsucking fleas. She would have a preferred a day of playing with kittens or a cute dog like the rest of the other teams, but their task was just as important if not more than entertaining. Taeha and her had been tasked with giving flea baths to adorable kittens, which was straightforward and didn't involve hard labor.

"Doesn't she remind you of me, T?" She lifts the liveliest kitten of the bunch, meowing back to respond to the loop of meows coming from the small kitten. "She has a lot to say like me..." She mumbles through a soft laugh, lifting her free hand to form a cat ear with her index finger and middle finger, quickly dropping it when she realizes that she shouldn't be touching her hair. Luckily, she had come prepared with jean overalls and her hair styled in braids. "Since the three of them have been incubating together, it's a given that all three would have fleas if one of them has them, but we can run a comb through their fur and check. It usually looks like dirt, but it's waste and sometimes you might get a full flea. Would you like to show us?"

It hadn't been apparent to him that he had been purposely avoiding her, but after an embarrassing first encounter, he felt like steering clear of her wouldn't hurt his ego too much. He thought of reaching out and asking for her to return his jacket until the realization hit him. He didn't have her number. He would have to ask one of his friends' for her number, or worse, ask one of the other trainees. He didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea, especially when their circles overlapped and he didn't want to waste energy on explaining what had occurred. His mind tortured him enough replaying the scene in his head.

Perhaps, he was catastrophizing like he always tended to do, but there was an unspoken tension that he couldn't quite figure out if it was him, her, or the feeling was mutual. It seems the universe is dead set on pushing him out of his comfort zone. He spots her heading towards the elevator when he enters the lobby. He quickly glances away, focusing on the time on his watch. How can someone with short stature make him too aware of his own existence?

He throws caution to the wind and crosses the lobby in long strides, stopping the elevator doors from closing with his hand. He steps inside, eyeing the buttons on the panel. None had been pressed. Should he be polite? He first presses the button to the cafe, staring at her reflection on the doors before he speaks up. "Which floor?"

Her amusement was evident with the way her eyes form into crescents, cheeks pushing down her own mask when her smile widens as she follows behind her bestfriend. Minseo briefly glances behind her, attempting to make eye contact with the taller man to request his help with getting them back on track. Her arms wind around Taeha, lowering herself to rest her chin on the shorter girl's shoulder. She lifts her index finger to affectionately poke at Taeha's cheek, reaching for the penguin in her friend's grasp. "We'll come back for you." She promises to Taeha rather than the plush, positioning it back on the display case and giving the plushie's nose a soft bop. "We should get them on the way out. Right, Hyunsoo?"

Minseo links her arm with Taeha, lightly tugging her away from the display and back towards the entrance of the gift shop. She attempts at being mindful of the children running around them, but one sneaks up from behind her. She quickly releases Taeha, grabbing onto the display of key chains that rattle from the impact. She releases a soft exhale, pushing one of the keys back into place before cautiously stepping away. Her attention shifts to the young boy gleefully laughing when he rejoins his friends. "Little terrors..." She whispers under her breath, releasing a soft laugh. "We should do a full loop... and check the films on the screen!"

It's seldom that the trio - or rather, the dynamic duo and their plus one, as Taeha liked to tease - found themselves with matching schedules. Or in this case a lack thereof and an abundance of free time. Taeha had been counting the days since her birthday celebration for the three to have another fun outing, and with the weather getting warming the city was their oyster! It only took a few spams in the group chat to settle on an afternoon at the aquarium ( and potentially a trip to a new cafe or two that evening if Taeha had any say ). With her polaroid camera in tow, Taeha planned to pose as their personal photographer - if she could just manage to make it a single step without getting distracted, that is.

And if the start of their day would be any indication, she'd surely be failing miserably. The trainee can barely contain her excitement as she bursts through the entrance, letting out a gasp that already has the pink mask she'd been sporting drooping slightly below her chin. "Oh my gosh! Look, look, look!" she's gushes, shuffling towards the gift shop. Her eyes are laser focused on a display case of plushies designed to mimic some of the more popular animal attractions. She reaches for one of the larger Penguins to give it a squeeze. "It's so cute! Should I get it? Or - Oh! They have otters too! ...Should I get both?!"

she was pretty sure one of the biggest perks about getting to do a radio show every week was getting to know the other girls. she knew taeha pretty well, but the others had mainly been a mystery. emi didn't quite consider herself shy, but of course, it was a bit nervewracking to get to know new people, and especially host with them. now though, it seemed to go by far too quickly. the second season was better than the first, even with the holidays.

"ah, honestly, i think this is the best time of the year! spending time with family, getting nice and cozy, and of course, maybe getting a few presents." she offers to sarang with a soft giggle into the mic. she hums then, tilting her head. "oh i do have a question though, what was the best present you've ever gotten, both when you were a kid, and now, as an adult. i feel like it's important to have both because of course, as we get older, what we want and need changes."

verano probably didnt hardly think much about his being bi. i think like, it kinda just was never as much of a thing amongst the dalish in his experience? also he's not super good at talking about himself anyways. he just goes for who he goes forn and it happens or it doesn't. he's not worried about it and honestly. even if someone else was hes got the fun combination of resting bitch face and a huge sword to dissuade them from sayin shit. i do think it kinda catches some of the origins crew off guard though.

taeha and locke both do the flirtatious rogue thing with everyone to some extent despite only being interested in the same gender... taeha has the same amount of confidence in flirting n stuff either way cuz its all a bit fun to him. comparatively locke gets a bit thrown off sometimes when women flirt back perhaps but i think that's just bc it actually means smth compared to with men.

taeha and locke also both have arranged marriages in direct conflict with their sexuality so um. Thats fun! no complexes here

taeha's is basically honestly more of a lavender marriage kinda situation. ye olde fantasy version of married for tax benefits like genuinely. nothing's really expected to come of it beyond a bit of extra stability for both parties

locke on the other hand is expected to marry and carry the line as the teyrna of highever so it's a whoooole thing, the attitude towards her is generally kind of like "we dont mind you having your fun with other women, but you have certain responsibilities." she fully expects it to be a loveless marriage only consumated for the sake of conception . she resents the whole thing ofc and would probably have jumped at the chance for adventure wrt the warden stuff w duncan even if the howes hadnt done a red wedding moment

i was taking videos of the family concert and. i caught what HAD to be the CUTEST interaction between these two legacy trainees 😭 park taeha was running around with a polaroid camera during the big end-of-the-concert number where everyone came out, and she came running over to noh areum – i was like ... a little worried at first that she was gonna plow the other off the stage, but then she jumped up on areum's back and they look what was probably the sweetest picture together oh my GOD i wish we could get that picture, it was probably adorable 😭 i love seeing interactions like this, it really reminds you that they really are a big family at legacy 🥺

a lover of all things eccentric, her feelings for such an exciting holiday shouldn't be all that surprising, not when it encompasses many of the very traits, albeit in minute traces, that make up gyuris own personality— really, what other day of the year could one witness others dressed to the nines as any obscure character they could think of and not find it odd in the slightest? personally, it isn't as if gyuri would actually care if she was judged, but the point still remained for others who felt more insecure.

this year, considering the only festive thing she'll be doing revolves around the company ( as everything always did ), she's decided not to go as anything too outlandish— odette was a lovely character in terms of visuals, gyuris own take on her rife with stark white feathers adorning her tutu, bodice, and hair piece. she takes up a bit of space, but that's not a problem seeing as it's only her, taeha, and a table full of decorations in the room.

"should we spruce up some of the houses? a lot of them have already been cluttered with things from other trainees, but there are still a few that have free space for us to work with—" her brows are slightly furrowed as she takes stock of the table. with so many different visions having lent their minds to the structure, nothing really looks cohesive. "oh! what if we decorate some of the little trees!"

Despite her strong dance background ( which she would still argue until the end that it proves her athleticism! ), Taeha wouldn't be considered the most coordinated of the LGC Girls. She can barely maneuver her own body through the maze that is her side of the bedroom without stubbing a toe, let alone maneuver another person. Not to mention, her only experience with wrestling was with her older brother as kids, and she's quite certain crying and calling out for mom would be less than effective this time around.

Taeha blinks over at Sori with a wide-eyed expression, observing the professional wrestlers as they demonstrate their technique. One of them circles the ring, executing a signature move with what seems like about as much effort it would take to pick up a spoon. How?! "W-with them?" Taeha stammers, still not too sure if she's impressed or absolutely terrified. "I think I would faint before I even got to the match..." Still, she nods in agreement, rolling one of her shoulders like she'd seen the wrestlers do in preparation for a throw. "You're right! If anything, I think we can learn a lot from their entrances, right? It's a lot like a performance in a way! ...Just a bit more -" She's cut off by the sound of an agonized wail. "...Aggressive."

legacy had once forced sori out in a search for a hobby, and she had considered wrestling, but considering was as far as that went. she tried out lots of things in her search for a hobby: painting, calligraphy, boxing, pottery, but wrestling never got the chance to be a hobby she would never return to (because to be honest, sori finds herself too busy for any hobby). but there’d she’d been, a wrestling match, she sure was lucky that dancing so much made her body strong.

the matches were over, but there was still more to come. female wrestlers (actual wrestlers) coming to teach them wrestling moves. she leans over to taeha, whispering to the other “if we were in a match with any of those real wrestlers, how quick do you think we’d lose?”. sori’s body was toned, but their bodies were far more toned than hers. she shrugs “maybe all this wrestling stuff will become useful some day”.

After a whirlwind of a year for the two of them, the first snowfall of the Winter season had allowed for the girls to come together and spend uninterrupted time. It wasn't like her to not prepare different activities, but Minseo had decided to go with the flow and enjoy being spontaneous. Her only idea was to set up a hot chocolate bar in her mother's bar area with @lgctaeha. She had outdone herself with the different marshmallow, sprinkle toppings, and a variety of cookies. A giant marshmallow bear was currently flowing in her hot chocolate as she molded the snow into different shapes.

She had created a heart in the shape of mini hearts, squeezing one of them with awe as the snow had hardened overnight. There would be no snow fight happening that day. She turns to glance at Taeha, playfully holding up the tiny hearts over her cheeks. "Do you know how they have sand sculpture competitions? It would be fun to see one with snow, or ice! I think there are ice hotels too with everything ma–" She pauses her ramblings, noticing her friend's attention was elsewhere. From her observation, Taeha had not let her phone out of her sight, which wasn't at all like her. She had a sneaky suspicion from the expression on her face that there was someone to keeping her occupied. She didn't consider herself the jealous type, but she had looked forward to spending time with Taeha. Her friend's phone was getting in the way of their date.

"T, did you hear what I said?" She sneaks up on her friend, expertly snatching the phone from her grasp. She purposely locks the screen, not wanting to encroach on her privacy, but that didn't mean she wasn't willing to make Taeha chase for the phone in her hand. "Pay attention to me, or else~"

Her question echoed in his head. Was it obvious? Maybe. Had his mind not been elsewhere, he would have answered with a slight nod. Instead, she receives a deadpan expression and then his eyes widened with concern when she shifts his focus back to the problem at hand. His bracelet had embraced the strands of her dress as another link, inevitably sealing its fate with an obvious hole. He couldn't offer any options that would prevent tearing the fabric and he couldn't exactly donate his bracelet.

"Untangle it, how?" He questions, not waiting for an answer and forcibly tugging away from the fabric. He clearly underestimates the strength of the fabric, hole blatantly staring back at him and much larger than he had estimated. Thankfully, the lining had been left intact. He feels the heat rush to his face, translating to how much he had fucked up. He doesn't see a stuttering apology being any help, or the need to offer up a joke to ease the tension. He takes off his jacket in panic, cautiously placing it on her shoulders. It was a temporary peace offering and the two were seemingly from the Pokemon faction so he didn't think that it looked too out of place, but her costume had been better off without him coming anywhere near it.

"I'll pay for the fabric if you can patch it–" He states earnestly, meeting her gaze to convey his remorse. "You can patch it, right?"

This party had been nothing short of exhausting. And Taeha was no stranger to chaotic events - after all, she once coordinated a birthmasversary party for one of the coaches whose birthday conveniently coincided with Christmas and the anniversary of her first Legacy dance class ( an important milestone, Taeha might add! ).

Compared to that, the company party should’ve felt like a breath of fresh air and a chance to unwind amid her hectic schedule. But instead she could barely catch her breath, let alone enjoy the festivities. Between double trouble still somewhere in the crowd, Yujin’s investigative skills putting Taeha’s weak poker face to shame, and her own cat ears mysteriously vanishing - no, seriously, where were they?! - The night was quickly unraveling.

Yet a sliver hope kept her wandering through the venue. But the clues were scarce, and things were feeling a bit... cloudy. The thought briefly amused her, drawing a small smile until a message on her phone caught her eye - I was thinking of leaving soon. "Already?!" she muttered, frowning at the screen as she weaved through the partygoers. There was no time to waste! Maybe if she hurried, she could -

"Oh!" she gasps, colliding with someone, her startled step back only making the snag on the knitting of her costume worse. "No, no, no! My dress is - ! Huh? What do you mean, what am I supposed to be? Isn’t it obvious?!" she huffs, gesturing to her tail. Even the short bit of movement as she spoke left the hole at her side stretching wider. "Ack! Can you untangle it?!" she pleads, tugging at the stubborn fabric.

If there was one aspect of shopping that she didn't like were the salespeople lingering around and jumping in with their suggestions to upsell them on other items. Minseo had been to the boutique before with her mother and actually met the sweet owner during her last visit. She had been pleasantly surprised by the new additions this season when her mother had sent her options over text messages. It seemed like the boutique was embracing more modern color palettes, and she just might need to buy more than one hanbok. After all, her mother had left her credit card on file for her and there was no mention of a budget.

She perks up on the couch when Taeha emerges from the fitting room, corner of her lips lifting into a bright smile when she observes the older girl cutely waddling to the mirror. Her bestfriend was so endearing and at times she was affected by cute aggression, but she remained seated, instead of crossing the room to shake her by the shoulders. "It is..." She hums, resting her cheek on the palm of her hand. "I think we could have it tailored? Their turn around is quick too. If it's the one you like, of course! But Taeha, I don't think we've found the perfect shade of pink."

Finally, Minseo stands to search through the hanboks displayed on hangers, feeling the fabrics of each dress with her fingertips. "Or should we get custom ones?" She asks, turning to glance at her bestfriend and flashing her a broad smile. "We could match! Or use complimentary colors..." She suggests, pulling out a top adorned with purple flowers on the sleeves.

Taeha is no stranger to bouts of homesickness, but something about this time of year always leaves her feeling a bit low. Family traditions, if not completely tossed to the wayside in favor of more training, were always a bit lacking ( if not completely ruined by technical difficulties ). Still, she puts on a smile, appreciative her parent's efforts to rearrange their schedules and place her at the family table while they all ate and chatted. Though, even the act of sitting alone in her dorm room watching them through her phone only made them seem farther and farther away.

And while she felt nothing could compare to being present with them, surrounded by her family's warmth and laughter ( and hearing brother's occasional taunts live and in stereo ) - spending a bit of the holiday with her best friend got pretty darn close.

"Uh, Minseo..." She steps out of the fitting room, trying her best not to stumble over the skirt of her hanbok, extending her arms out to her sides as she waddles over to a standing mirror. "I don't know about this one," she frowns, spinning to face her best friend, whipping her ponytail so forcefully in the process that it fans into her face. "Does this seem a little too big?" She gives her arms a flap and her hands immediately disappear beneath the loose fabric.
