Walk MS OKC 2025

Seems like this year has been hectic more than in the past years. In short there has been a lot going on.

For the last 3 years Michelle Roberts and I are Co-Captains of 2 Against MS. That is named for the 2 support groups in the Oklahoma City area. They are the Association To Overcome Multiple Sclerosis (ATOMS) and Blooms and Grooms a FaceBook group.

We Made It To The Top

As it is at this time 2 Against MS is the number 1 fundraiser for Walk MS OKC. We raised more than $3,100. Thanks to everyone who donated on my team page I currently am ranked 12th in individual fundraising with $515.

The morning started with a temperature in the 60"s and humid turned into a temperature in the 80's and muggy. I didn't walk the entire mile as I got overheated a little over a 1/4 of a mile into the walk. In trying to get off the path to rest in the shade I fell. I didn't get hurt but it was clear I wouldn't be able to make the mile. My total for the walk was about a 1/2 mile.

To my team mates you did a fantastic job fundraising.

now that the show has made it explicitly Relevant that Milchick is a black man (and lumon racist) you really can't help but notice the parallels of dehumanization - the innies "aren't real people," he "shouldn't make them feel like real people," they serve only one purpose (work).... there's so much talk about the innies' exploitation as 'kids' but they're really driving home the image of them as slaves, too, this season (on both an intra- and extratextual level), and with the milchick storyline unfolding as it is i think those parallels are not lost on him. idk just really intriguing where they're taking this, probably him potentially switching 'sides' down the road - or trying, anyways, the grip lumon has on all of them is strong, in different ways
