Wampus, my dinner companion - Jan 23, 2025

Sleepy baby settled down while I was eating. She's fighting so hard to keep her eyes open.

Y'know, she and Moscow will be 11 years old in March. Wampus has def settled down over the years. She can still be a terror sometimes, but she will also seem very spaced out, like she is in the middle of a brain fart.

I love my cats, my pretty calendar girls.

If that isn't possible however (since tumblr is broken as ever and makes uploading videos harder than necessary), you can always upload it to youtube as an unlisted video and send a link to that as an ask.

sometimes you’ll see a post on the dash with a hundred something notes, and you won’t think twice about it until you scroll and realize with a sense of horror that all of those notes were from a single person, that person being your mutual, and suddenly your dash is just a single photo of a lobster for the next couple hours

2024 cat calendar with Moscow and Wampus!

Quite late but I promised to order this before the new year. While not as deep as the Black Friday discount, it was still pretty good. (65% versus 70% off; not much difference.)

I leaned into multi-photo pages this year. The subtle differences in certain shots help reveal a timeline of events. I particularly love April's sequence (Wampus at the mirror) and October's cluster of webcam snapshots.

Sending files via text message nerfed some of the resolution/dimensions, so I left out some pictures that I'd really wanted to include. Dad let me download directly from his phone, but I forgot to grab all the files. Moscow in the "door frame", Oven Fresh Wampus, and Wampus chewing the stuffing bag were omitted.

If I were smart, I'd get started on the 2025 calendar, using the leftovers. But we all know that's not the case. Procrastination reigns rather strongly.
