Hmm, I guess I look for Time Travel Fix-It's, Watch it/React fics, Canon Divergence, Identity/Relationship Reveal, and even Fake/Pretend relationships on occasion.

As for the last fic to make me cry? I'm not sure? But I can tell you about a fic that has stayed with me, it's a fic about Wei Wuxian being blind and then being able to see when he gets revived in Mo Xuanyu's body. I'll edit this later with the fic name, I can't remember it right now but I know it was by thatdesigirl.

Angst with a happy ending / canon divergence / modern with magic, but I rarely search for specific tags nowadays, because I get a lot of recs through my friends.

I'd say my favorite aus might be time travel, angst with happy ending, and modern with magic (includes cultivation!). Though I pretty rarely sort by tags, I usually sort by pairing. Sometimes I exclude tags I don't want.

an antique collector with a secret. ideal date is secluded mountain retreats and deliberate acts of service. T. 53K. What an interesting, unique concept. It's basically Spirited Away meets Eros and Psyche but with consent.

your resident hot and horny gay just renewed his annual subscription to the local YMCA. thinks seduction via clandestine sports apparel beats literal communication. Not Rated (it's actually a solid E). 24.5K. Cheeky inner monologue. Reading this fic is like riding a motorcycle in the interstate at a solid 60 mi/hr for 45 minutes and then hitting maximum.

closeted romantic who reluctantly agreed to the blind date as a favor. do not be fooled. this one is 110% into chemistry and spontaneous decisions. E. 6.8K. Exceeds all expectations of its trope. This fic introduced me to ethical slut Lan Xichen. Cute and utterly endearing.

renegade scientist on the verge of a breakthrough discovers he is now the b-side plot of X-Men and The Terminator. E. 15.9K. Two different summer blockbusters fused into one cohesive, and emotional piece. Absolutely in love.

a well-travelled survival expert who thinks mistakes are 'happy accidents.' his esteemed associates range from gremlin corvids to the harbinger of death. T. 7.1K. This fic rolls a Nat20 in charisma. Has an interesting take to a common fandom character specific trope.

a backpacking artist meets the elusive local cryptid thanks to 5 star rating his innkeeper left on tripadvisor. gains an all-access pass at first sight. T. 28k. This fic was warm, beautiful, and soft. If this fic had a color, it would be sepia.

environmentally-conscious gardener who likes to plant organic vegetables, and help little things. favorite author is Hans Cristian Andersen. G. 14k. If you're looking for something light, this one is for you. This fic like finding the perfect jam for your toast served with hot cocoa.

the university heartthrob who will kill for you, 10/10. trained in hand-to-hand combat and first aid. T. 7.7k. Expect poignant parallels and tender loving care. The inner monologue is funny, and endearing.

Lan Wangji stared, thinking for a moment that he was looking at some kind of water nymph.

He shook off the thought and glanced around, realizing that his walk may have taken him to the private residences of the Jiang Clan. He considered just leaving, looking to avoid disturbing the man.

But then, the man suddenly stopped humming. He tilted his head as if listening for something.

“Wow,” the man said, turning around. He opened his eyes and Lan Wangji was struck at the sight of the light gray, almost silvery eyes.

“You’re beautiful.” ----------- Or, Lan Wangji goes to Lotus Pier for a discussion conference and meets someone who quickly becomes special to him. Over the course of 5 meetings, he falls in love.
