(delirious) the thing about s-class heroine is that, despite or maybe even precisely because it's set in a world with gods, neither of the leads would ever worship the other with god-like reverence and awe. Tesilid is too sick of being god's plaything to compare ailette to one, and Ailette is this crazy about Tesilid precisely because she knows he's only human, and his humanity is so worthy of protection to her. They both acknowledge each other as human, albeit crazily overpowered ones.

They're both as close to god as anyone in-universe could ever conceive of, but because they're the two strongest humans on the continent anyway, this doesn't make a difference - they're equals.

You know who's weak enough for the power differential to make a difference and who had a life-changing godly intervention by one of these two during their childhood, though? That's right, hestio ligen--
