with edna still in her box, violet uses the opportunity to try on this cape

so i knew when the incredibles started showing up at tru that i wanted to wait and see if violet and edna would show up there, because lol brand-new dolls at a 30% discount.  and though it took a little while, my patience was rewarded!  nine bucks apiece. 8D

because it’s me, and because the site server computer was taking SO LONG to update itself, i of course wound up seeing if any of the clothes i got from @poppyobsessed would fit her.  tl;dr: your best bet is reboot mh, some eah works, most original mh is too narrow in the chest and shoulders

off to a great start!  you can really see her one wacky leg, though, if another violet appears when the sale is a little further along and i start doing the Proper Farewell Tour like in the olden days of mh i’ll probably get a second violet.  i’m sure it’s because of the way they’re packaged, but at least if i have two that’s one i can perform Mad Science on.  i do love her head though!  and her hands are so big and cartoony, she’s really accurate 8D

it turns out that she’s a perfect match for the mh little sister shoes!  i really want to get her a copy of 13 wishes howleen’s boots now

i kept her in this for a short while (until i realized that i had a lot of wait time on my hands lmao).  she looks like she’s going out to do minor errands, or just hanging out around the house.  doin’ her best violet.

for some reason this style of eah dress (no darts, no sleeves, that stretchy fabric mattel likes so much) works really well on her.  probably a prom situation here

this works if you ignore what it’s doing in the back lmao.  the hot pinks and golds were the breakout surprises of this exercise, i didn’t expect her to take to them as much as the more obvious purples/blues/reds

i realized at this point that we didn’t get a frozone doll, and then i was kinda bummed.  i didn’t take a lot of photos of the dresses where i felt like she wasn’t ~feeling her oats~, but they were mostly because of sleeve issues or chest issues. (and a couple like this one, where something about them didn’t work like i thought they would.) there was this one really pretty red mh shirt with long sleeves that i wanted to work so badly, but it didn’t want to slide up all the way on her left forearm ;;
