At What Katie Did we’re obsessed by Christian Dior’s New Look which featured heavily cinched waists. It’s no surprise that our collections include waist cinchers of all descriptions from short little waspies to full traditional corsets.
This little waspie usually just pips our Waist Cincher to the post when it comes to our monthly sales figure (landing just below our most popular piece which is our Glamour Merry Widow). It has an internal elastic waist tape to give visible definition to your waist, lightweight spiral steel boning, and a hook and eyes at the front which enables you to get in and out of it (relatively) easily.
Our Glamour Waist Cincher is our Waspie’s big sister. Longer in length than the waspie it’s designed to meet your bra band for a smooth line under clothing. There is a concealed elastic waist tape and powermesh waist band to accentuate your waist. A heavier spiral steel boning is used than with our Waspie but just like its little sister it has a hook and eye front opening. The  other difference is that it has 6 detachable suspender/garter straps so you can wear with or without stockings.
Although personally I’m not a fan of overbust corsets (I find them too constricting on your torso when compared with underbusts for daily wear) our sales figures show just how much you love them.  If you’re looking to wear lingerie as outerwear our Overbust Corset does the trick. Our overbust corset is designed to fit a variety of different body shapes and up to a DD cup comfortably.
Finally we have our Luna Waspie corset. This little waspie is heavily inspired by the corset style waspies worn by Dior’s New Look Models. The standard version of our Luna Corset is designed to fit everyone other than the super curvy. This corset finishes quite high on your hip so depending on your body fat percentage you might get a little bulge under the corset. This kind of makes sense as Dior’s New Look was all about tightly cinched waists and full skirts, the full skirts will, of course, disguise any bulges.

Been tightlacing for a long while now. I can damn near close it completely. This waspie cincher is a 22 inch steel boned from a Jacksonville local goth store called "Subculture Corsets" i can't wait to be able to close it completely and I can move down an inch or 2. I have been wearing it to this warehouse gig i had for over 2 years, I'd wake up at 4am to get my son and I ready in a timely fashion without feeling rushed, and the cincher would go on when I got dressed. I worked an 8 hour shift (under normal circumstances) and I wouldn't get home until 5 or 6 pm depending on if I had errands to run directly after work or not. Then come straight out of it the second I get to my room.
One morning I had it so tight I couldn't breathe normal....but even when I got to work I still didn't loosen it. By the time 2pm rolled around it felt loose on me. So in the middle of a meeting I stood there and untied it, tightened it more to where it felt like a comfortable hug then tied it back. It felt like progress to me and it made me feel so good inside.
Can't wait for the next size down though. Also also after my car accident back in November I got xrayed and found out I have 12 herniated discs in different areas of my spine. And I have to admit that wearing a corset DOES FRICKEN WONDERS FOR THE SPINE!!!! Keeping a great posture helps prevent those annoying as hell back aches. So I havent looked back on not going a day without the corset ever since I realized I can work a physical job with it on and not be in pain. 😄💯🥰💓🤙🏾

Corset Waspies
Steel-boned made to measure waspie corsets are a great way to add a unique and stylish look to your wardrobe. The waspie corset is a type of corset that is designed to fit closely around the waist, providing a slimming and flattering silhouette. It is often used to create an hourglass shape, or to give a more dramatic look.
Made to measure waspie corsets are designed to be custom fit to your body, so they can be tailored to your exact measurements and needs. This makes them ideal for those who want a bespoke look, or for those who may have an unusual body shape.
Steel-boned waspie corsets are made from strong and durable materials, such as steel or plastic boning. This helps to create a snug and secure fit, while allowing for flexibility and movement. Steel boning is also much more durable than plastic boning, meaning your corset will last longer.
When purchasing a steel-boned made to measure waspie corset, it is important to make sure that you select the right size for your body. The corset should fit snugly, but not too tightly, and should not pinch or dig into your skin. It should also be comfortable to wear, and should not restrict your breathing or movement.
A waspie corset can be worn with a variety of different outfits, from casual to formal. They can be worn under a dress or skirt, or over a blouse or shirt. They can also be worn with trousers or jeans for a more casual look.
Steel-boned made to measure waspie corsets are a great way to add a unique and stylish look to your wardrobe. They are designed to fit your body perfectly, and provide a slimming and flattering silhouette. They are also strong and durable, meaning they will last for many years.

How to style waspie corset?
Here are a few tips for styling a waspie corset:
Choose the right size: A well-fitting waspie corset will give you the desired shape and support, while a poorly fitting corset can be uncomfortable and unflattering. Be sure to measure yourself accurately and consult with a professional corset fitter if possible to ensure the best fit.
Consider the occasion: Think about the event or occasion for which you will be wearing the corset and choose a style and material that is appropriate. A more formal corset, such as one made from satin or silk, would be suitable for a formal event, while a more casual corset made from cotton or leather might be better for a casual outing.
Mix and match: Waspie corsets can be paired with a variety of tops and bottoms to create a unique look. Try pairing a leather waspie corset with a flowing maxi skirt for a bohemian-inspired look, or pair a satin waspie corset with a pair of skinny jeans and heels for a more glamourous outfit.
Accessorize: Don't be afraid to accessorize your waspie corset with jewelry, scarves, or other accessories. This can help to add visual interest and make your outfit more unique.
Experiment with layering: Layering is a great way to add depth and dimension to your outfit. Try layering a waspie corset over a blouse or under a blazer for a more polished look.
Overall, the key to styling a waspie corset is to choose a style and material that suits your personal style and the occasion, and to have fun experimenting with different looks.

In a hypothetical version of the game where the commonwealth began to recover on a reasonable timeline instead of the whacky one Bethesda thunk up, I love the idea of the sole survivor stumbling out of vault 111, seeing the destruction the bombs wrought, and going “oh my god it’s a complete wasteland!” the same way suburbanites do over photos of broken windows and homeless people in any major American city,
and then three weeks later when they stumble into Diamond city like “finally! Something barely resembling the civilization I lost! I’ve been eating nothing but dog food for three weeks!” everyone’s like uh. You did not have to do that
