catradora's canon status turns 5 today. i also turn 20 today. 🪅
i've spent an entire quarter of my life, a whopping 25% of it now, loving the center focus of she-ra and what this show teaches us...
it's actually pretty wild for me to think too deeply about. truly, it can't not mean something absolutely special (if i love myself, of course) when that much of a coincidence is actually reality.
this story isn't just a hyperfixation, it's a permanent part of who i am. it's shaped my later teenage years and helped me through hard times consisting of confusion and loneliness. i resonated better with catra & glimmer than any other fictional characters i had known before or would ever know since then. i found the art style soothing to stare at all the time. i appreciated the words of comfort we're supposed to internalize. it's been a consistent source of familiarity when i needed nothing more than to rewatch the same scenes repeatedly.
the online community surrounding western queer animation, and particularly this piece of media, kickstarted my hobby of collecting video edits, up to the thousands, that many talented creators have made, on an external drive. unfortunately i lost that project over the summer last year and it devastated me deeply, however i never stopped keeping track of my favorites and supporting the works i loved as i continued coming across them, such as this one to “the great war” by @somanypetals, which i will never stop recommending to others here ─ you can also go through my tag for this topic if you'd like! in fact, i also got back into video editing myself for the first time since 2021 last month!
additionally, it wouldn't be an authentic CBS post of mine if i didn't highlight how beautiful five by five takes' analysis videos on youtube are to me. their writing is a top-tier heart-wrenching gold mine and i've lost count of how many times i've rewatched through that playlist again and again. if you love this masterpiece as much as i do, you'll do so tenfold here. i still remember watching the first part of the series, "how she-ra gives us hope", when it was brand new, and i love bragging to fellow friends about being one of 5X5T's earliest subscribers from this fandom!
i (sort of but not really, which is a long complicated story on its own), came from the traumatized wave of angry voltron/KL fans. thankfully i didn't struggle with trusting the writers to follow through on the groundwork they laid down because it had only been my first fandom and therefore i hadn't been hurt by queerbaiting multiple times, but i say this because it was a big deal when she-ra's finale showed something on screen that could not be taken away or undone. catra & adora's romance helped me find peace & pride in my lesbian attraction. although i ended up not being homosexual despite failing to realize it for another year, i am still very much sapphic and wouldn't trade that gift for the world!
speaking of which, one of the best things you can find in a partner is the relatability of a common interest that brings out the emotional connection between you. i've seen @bluedandylyon around before, but i got to know xim more closely on the SPOP creative flex discord server after i jumped in activity there about a month and a half ago (and i only started being active on this blog again after creating it in 2022 back in august last year, it's amazing what that did for me). the two of us genuinely could not have clicked better with anyone else and i believe we were always destined to stumble into each other eventually. i don't know why the universe decided that time was to be so recent, but after spending half a decade single it's been very exciting to finally leave that break behind. because of SPOP, i asked them if they wanted to date on lesbian visibility day (april 26) and something within me renewed to make me the happiest i've ever been! 💟
my thoughts are too scattered and unorganized for this to feel like a proper essay of some sort, but i know i needed to get this done in time and i enjoyed it. i can't appreciate enough how much my identity, the core essence of who i am inside, has been shaped by this 50-episode cartoon. a simple love letter could never cover how important this reboot means to so many people, even if mattel still refuses to acknowledge it. ⚔️🌈💖

It seems NCIS fans aren’t going to have to wait quite as long for the new Tony and Ziva spinoff as we had initially been led to believe!
While all of the branding for the upcoming spinoff, NCIS: Tony and Ziva, has been promoting the show as coming this fall, it seems Paramount+ has adjusted the show’s release strategy and will be dropping the show at the end of summer instead. During the Q1 2025 Paramount Earnings Conference Call hosted on May 8, 2025, Paramount executives offered up a look at the upcoming programming slate for the second half of the year. During the highlights, it was announced that NCIS: Tony and Ziva will be coming in August 2025.
That’s right, it seems we’re going to see the brand new series kicking off sometime in August, which honestly makes so much sense!
Although we don’t know their official return dates, CBS just announced that it will be launching its first-ever NCIS primetime block beginning on Tuesdays this fall. The new three-hour block will see NCIS, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS: Sydney airing across the night, making franchise history as CBS’s first three-hour NCIS primetime block. This means fans will be getting plenty of NCIS in the fall when the shows return for their new seasons at the end of September or early in October.
Holding NCIS: Tony and Ziva for the fall makes little sense, as fans are already going to be getting so much content from the franchise. However, premiering the show in August will surely help drive viewership as the show will help to bridge the gap between the new seasons of CBS’s NCIS shows. This will surely help prevent NCIS fatigue and give the Tony and Ziva show its own time to shine.
It’s been previously confirmed that the new series will consist of 10 episodes, which are expected to be released weekly. An August release date for the show will allow the season to premiere and unfold in the weeks leading up to the CBS NCIS shows’ returns, when fans are especially eager for new episodes.
By releasing the show in August, this could also allow CBS to pull the show into the mix sometime in 2026 as a filler series during the midseason or summer months when it might be looking for new content to bring to fans. This is an approach that has worked incredibly well for Paramount in the past with streaming originals such as Tulsa King getting linear premieres that then translated to more viewers watching new episodes on streaming.
Regardless of when the new series premieres, we have no doubt NCIS: Tony and Ziva will be a breakout hit for Paramount+. Fans have been hoping to see Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly reunite on NCIS for years now, and while we’d have loved to see that reunion unfold on the flagship series, it’s even more exciting to see the pair getting to take center stage via their own spinoff series. The show promises to fill in some gaps in the storylines that had previously occurred off-screen, and get to see Tony and Ziva going on the run together in Europe as they try to work to protect their family and find out who is behind the attack against them.

Charis Hoard at MMFA:
Former president and current GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump recently called for CBS’ and ABC’s broadcast licenses to be revoked, a continuation of the kind of adversarial rhetoric he has used against the press since his presidency. Project 2025, the right-wing policy blueprint for the next Republican administration, has also argued for the defunding of public radio and broadcast networks.
Throughout his reelection campaign, Trump has called for broadcast TV licenses to be revoked, promised investigation into media outlets, and painted the media as “so bad for our country”
Trump called for CBS’ broadcast license to be revoked while accusing the network of editing interview footage to the benefit of Vice President Kamala Harris. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Trump called for the network’s broadcast license to be revoked and claimed that it is trying to “hide [the] fact” that Harris “is a Moron.” In a later post, Trump claimed that CBS’ 60 Minutes “unscrupulously replaced an answer” that Harris had given during an interview with the program with “another answer that had nothing to do with the question asked,” baselessly calling the action “illegal.” [The Hill, 10/10/24; Twitter/X, 10/10/24, 10/14/24; Snopes, 10/11/24]
In September, Trump called for ABC’s broadcast license to be revoked. The morning after his presidential debate with Harris, Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt asked Trump why the ABC moderators didn’t “correct” Harris during the debate. Trump responded, “They’re dishonest, and because I think ABC took a big hit last night. I mean, to be honest, they're a news organization. They have to be licensed to do it. They ought to take away their license for the way they did that.” [Twitter/X, 9/11/24]
Trump also attacked debate moderators, ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis, for fact-checking his lies and described them as “low lives.” During a speech in Arizona, Trump claimed, “The public was not fooled. They saw right through it, Kamala’s lies and unprecedented partisan interference of two low-life anchors. They’re low lives.” [The Hill, 9/12/24]
Trump threatened The New York Times, saying, “Wait until you see what I'm going to do with them.” In an interview, The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro asked Trump, “How do you fight a legacy media that is once again rigging the informational environment of the election?” Trump replied, “The New York Times is one of the most dishonest of all. I watched this, New York Times, and it's a classic. Wait until you see what I'm going to do with them, you're going to have so much fun.” [The Daily Wire, The Ben Shapiro Show, 10/8/24]
While discussing his live streamed X interview in August, Trump attacked the media, writing, “I absolutely HATE the Fake News Media. So bad for our Country!” Trump: “All the Fake News wants to report is that the servers crashed (because of the tremendous volume!), and the show opened a little late. What they should be reporting was the incredible number of people that were listening. I absolutely HATE the Fake News Media. So bad for our Country!” [Truth Social, 8/13/24; The New York Times, 8/13/24]
During an appearance at the 2024 National Association of Black Journalists Convention, Trump attacked moderator and ABC correspondent Rachel Scott for citing his track record on race. Trump: “I don’t think I’ve ever been asked a question in such a horrible manner. A first question. You don’t even say, ‘Hello, how are you?’ Are you with ABC? Because I think they’re a fake news network, a terrible network. And I think it’s disgraceful that I came here in good spirit — I love the Black population of this country, I’ve done so much for the Black population of this country.” [The Hill, 7/31/24]
In October 2023, Trump questioned whether CBS News should be able to access public airwaves after its interview with President Joe Biden. In a post on Truth Social after CBS’ interview with Biden, Trump stated: “The show ‘60 Minutes’ should be ashamed of themselves. They just interviewed Crooked Joe Biden, and led him along like a lost child. … Why should CBS get free public airwaves for this highly partisan ‘show’[?]” [MSNBC, 10/17/23]
In late 2023, Trump accused media outlets such as NBC and MSNBC of “Country Threatening Treason” and asserted that he would investigate them if reelected in November. Trump: “They are almost all dishonest and corrupt, but Comcast, with its one-side and vicious coverage by NBC NEWS, and in particular MSNBC, often and correctly referred to as MSDNC (Democrat National Committee!), should be investigated for its ‘Country Threatening Treason.’” [Forbes, 9/24/23]
The right-wing authoritarian war on supposed “fake news” are part of both Donald Trump and Project 2025’s plans to attack and delegitimatize all non-MAGA-friendly sources.
The MAGA-friendly sources are the biggest fake news purveyors in America, not the “MSM.”

"Eddie Redmayne's Kids Are Singing Cabaret's Songs Despite Their 'Horrendously Inappropriate' Lyrics (Exclusive)"
"My wife, Hannah, is like, 'Really?' " the Broadway star jokes to PEOPLE.
By Dave Quinn, May 13, 2024.
Eddie Redmayne is raising Broadway babies, but they might not be quite sure what they're singing just yet.
The Oscar-winning actor opened up about the interests of son Luke, 6, and daughter Iris, 8, while speaking at the 2024 Tony Awards Meet the Nominees junket earlier this month.
"My children love the theater," says Redmayne, 42, who is up for his second Tony Award for his leading actor portrayal of the Emcee in the acclaimed revival of the John Kander and Fred Ebb's Cabaret, "And they love the music to Cabaret, because the songs are so memorable and playful, they sort of sit in your head so quickly."
Luckily, the two don't appear to understand Cabaret's lyrics.
"Sometimes the lyrics are kind of more questionable," Redmayne says. "I was saying the other day that my daughter is sort of going around singing that song, 'Don't Tell Mama.' And all the lyrics are kind of horrendously inappropriate"

Redmayne shares Luke and Iris with wife Hannah Bagshawe, 41, whom he married in 2014. And as he jokes, she's not happy with their song choice.
"My wife, Hannah, is like, really? 'Don't Tell Mama' is one of the key songs? Come on. How about 'Don't Tell Papa?' " he says.
Despite the gaff, Redmaye is still hoping to sneak his son and daughter into the August Wilson Theatre in New York City to see his opening number.
"They haven't been to see the show, but I'm thinking of trying to sneak them into watch 'Willkommen,' " he says. "Because they've been such a part of this journey for me, my kids, so yeah."
The actor first played the role in the 2021 West End revival, which transferred this season to Broadway in a production that opened April 21. Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, it's officially called Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club.
Gayle Rankin, Steven Skybell and Bebe Neuwirth star alongside Redmayne in the production. All four received Tony Award nominations for their performances, while the show itself is up for five other awards including best revival of a musical.
This is Redmayne's second time on Broadway, and second Tony Award acting nomination. He received the 2010 Tony Award for his role in Red.
"The Tonys, in many ways, changed my life when I was here with Red 14 years ago," Redmayne shares to PEOPLE. "So it feels completely wonderful to be back here. Cabaret has been a passion project for many years. The fact that we made it to Broadway was a huge thing, and to be recognized across the board by the Tonys means the world."

"And they're just magnificent, the actual Tony Awards," he adds. "It's kind of of unrivaled as far as being an entertaining evening. So it's thrilling to be a part of it".
The 2024 Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 16 at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater in New York City. Viewers can watch the show on CBS and Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Select awards will also be handed out on a preshow that will stream on Pluto TV.
Tickets for Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club are now on sale.

About This Project
The Fifth Network is a project where I watch The WB and UPN on a 30 year delay. The WB and UPN were both attempts to launch a fifth broadcast television network in the United States in 1995 following the success of Fox (the fourth broadcast network) in the prior decade.
While a single fifth broadcast network might have been successful given the TV landscape of the late 90s, the two simultaneously-launched fledgling networks largely ended up competing with each other rather than challenging the Big 3 or Fox. While both networks had some successful shows, they constantly lost money, and both threw in the towel in 2006 after 11.5 years, replaced with The CW, a new single fifth network co-owned by Time Warner and CBS (the final owners of The WB and UPN, respectively).
The Project
Who are you?
My name is Jen Lastnameredacted (she/her). You can follow me on Tumblr @nullpointerintime or on Bluesky @nullptrintime.bsky.social.
Is this a nostalgia thing?
Nope! I was only 10 when The WB and UPN ended, and I didn't watch anything on either network while they were actually on the air. Prior to starting this project, the only UPN shows I had watched were Voyager and Enterprise [1] and the only WB show I had watched was the first season of Supernatural [2].
Why then?
I find this period of TV history fascinating. It's a transitional period where there was clearly more demand for TV shows than the Big 3 could fulfill (as demonstrated by the success of Fox and various first-run syndicated shows), but TV itself was also changing as you started seeing more serialization in stories and eventually fully serialized shows.
Maybe a single fifth network could have found a sustainable place in the TV ecosystem, but the hubris of media executives launching two new networks ultimately doomed them both. By the time they got their act together and merged in 2006, the broadcast landscape was firmly established as a Big 4 (now including Fox) and cable networks were now also producing their own series.
Like its parents, The CW found modest success with niche audiences [3] but continued to constantly lose money. Sports seem to be the only thing people are willing to watch live these days, so maybe pivot to live sports that The CW's new ownership is making will pay off? [4].
Meanwhile, the whole cycle has repeated with streaming, as Netflix became the Fox that demonstrated the new market and then every other media company assumed they could replicate that success with their own streaming service even if they all launched at the same time.

Anyway... another goal of this project is to force myself to watch shows without bingeing them. In August 2023, I started watching Survivor, and by the end of the year I had watched all of Survivor. Shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer have been on my list for forever, but I don't want to just watch all seven seasons in a blur. This project forces me to slow down while also giving me a sampler of a wide variety of other shows I might not otherwise watch.
Will you watch everything that aired on these two networks then?
Definitely not. For one, it's literally impossible, as there are some shows where I'm unable to find a source to watch them today. Aside from that, I do expect to end up watching most of what aired for the first year or so while both networks were limited to just a day or two of programming each week. As the schedules expand to more days, I'll probably continue watching roughly the same amount each week and be more willing to drop shows that I'm not feeling.
These are the rules I'll generally try to keep myself to:
I should watch a least a couple hours of programming each week, unless everything scheduled is either unavailable or a rerun of something I've already seen.
I should watch at least one episode of each show that aired on The WB or UPN and is available in some form. This will typically be the pilot, unless the pilot is unavailable and some other episode(s) are.
For shows that last more than one season, I should generally check in with them at least once per season, even if I'm not watching otherwise. This rule is relaxed for reality shows.
This whole project is supposed to be fun though, so I reserve the right to change these rules if they become too restrictive. No guarantees that I actually finish all 11.5 years either. If I finish this project I'll literally be 40 when it's done. Even if I'm still fully enjoying it, it's possible that it becomes too much work to continue depending on what else is going on in my life. If this project becomes a chore rather than something I enjoy...

When are new recaps posted?
A recap post of what I watched in the preceding week will be posted when it's Saturday thirty years ago, since neither network ever scheduled anything in primetime on Saturdays (even The CW only started scheduling Saturdays in the past few years).
This means that recaps will initially go out on Tuesdays in the present day. Due to leap years and 30 not being a multiple of 4, this will switch between Mondays and Tuesdays in March of every even year.
The new networks didn't expand to Thursdays and Fridays until Fall 1998, so posts may occasionally go up earlier if I finish a week's writeup early.
How strict are you about watching week-by-week?
I won't watch any episodes from beyond the week I'm currently on. A large part of the motivation for this project was to avoid binge watching, so I plan to be fairly strict on this.
That being said, I may occasionally watch ahead of the actual 30-year gap in order to build up a buffer before some weeks where I know I'll be traveling or otherwise too busy. Posts will still go up 30 years later, and I'll make sure to finish one week's watching completely before moving on to the next one. I expect this to be particularly common with summer reruns where there is less to watch and it's easier to just batch weeks together in my actual watching.
Within each week, I'm giving myself flexibility to watch in whatever order works best to allow for things like coordinating watching a particular show with friends, or leaving shows I'm marginal on/have already seen until the end of the week if I have time.
What's your spoiler policy?
Since I'm watching week-by-week anyway, I won't even know any spoilers for future episodes of most shows, but for the few shows I have watched before, I'll try to avoid any explicit spoilers. I may discuss vague spoilers around the direction of shows to the extent I'm aware of them. How long each show actually runs is obvious from the embedded schedules, so that's completely fair game.
I'm watching 30-year-old shows here, so I don't expect to completely avoid spoilers, but I'd appreciate it if you don't send explicit spoilers for something I'm watching directly to me. Things like "you'll really like where this show ends up going" or "you should definitely make sure to watch this episode" are great though! I'd prefer if you don't tell me bad things about the future direction of shows I'm enjoying though. Let me be disappointed when I get to the bad stuff rather than preemptively telling me something sucks.
The Website
While I'm cross-posting on Tumblr, my posts about this project primarily go up on my website, which includes interactive schedule elements that can't be included in Tumblr posts.
In addition to the specific elements embedded in these posts, the site also contains a fully interactive schedule for the entire runs of both networks, which you can browse here.
The Tumblr versions of each recap post will include text-based versions of the relative schedule entries, with links to the interactive versions on the site.
What's included and what's not?
Every primetime schedule slot for The WB and UPN should be filled, and I also filled The CW's schedule for the rest of 2006, as well as most airings of most WB/UPN shows that continued on The CW for the rest of their run. Initial airings of episodes that premiered on another network and later re-ran on The WB or UPN are included in infoboxes, but won't appear on the calendar.
The following is not included:
anything that aired outside of primetime (8-10 PM on weekdays; 7-10 PM on Sundays)
any shows or specials that premiered on The CW in 2007 or later
any continuations of WB/UPN shows on other networks, including airings of episodes that were ordered for WB/UPN, but never aired on them
new episodes of WB/UPN reality shows on The CW in 2007 or later
Supernatural season 6 and later (I didn't feel like adding all 15 seasons, especially given only one season aired on The WB, and season 5 seemed like a decent stopping point).
some reruns of other WB/UPN shows in 2007 or later
Where-to-watch info is added on an ad-hoc basis. I did a cursory search for streaming and DVD availability of all shows, but I've only searched more extensively for shows that I will be watching soon. All streaming info is for the United States; if you live outside the US, you'll need to look up availability on your own. If a given show is available on multiple services of the same type (paid, subscription, and free), I may not include all of them, especially for shows that I won't get to for a while, given availability changes regularly.
Links to taped episodes on YouTube or the Internet Archive are only included when I'm unable to find a legal streaming service or in-print DVD. I don't host pirated content on this site, but I don't have any qualms about linking to it when it's the only way to watch it.
Where did the data come from?
All schedule data was manually compiled by me from a variety of online sources, particularly TV Tango, IMDb, TheTVDB, and Wikipedia. These webpages by Aaron Greenhouse were also useful references.
When sources conflicted, I made judgement calls/guessed to decide what to include. I'm fairly confident that I got the airdates and times for most first-run episodes right, but reruns may be less accurate. Some reruns only list a show rather than a specific episode. If you have evidence that I got something wrong, please send it to me here.
What do the different colors and indicators mean?
Purple schedule entries are for UPN. Yellow schedule entries are for The WB. Green schedule entries are for The CW. Most reruns will use faded versions of the network's color [5].
The interactive schedules on the website include additional indicators, such as when a given schedule entry is the last known airing of a given episode. See the website version of this post for more details.
Example schedule that demonstrates these elements:
Monday January 18, 1999 Malcolm & Eddie S3E05: "Dream Girl" - 8 PM on UPN 7th Heaven S3E12: "All That Jazz" - 8 PM on The WB Guys Like Us E12: "Good Old Days" - 8:30 PM on UPN The Sentinel S1E01: "The Switchman" - 9 PM on UPN Buffy the Vampire Slayer S3E06: "Band Candy" - 9 PM on The WB
Can I browse the calendar if I don't have JavaScript enabled?
Clicking on a schedule entry relies on JavaScript to dynamically generate the infobox, but you can see pre-rendered calendars for each year here and pre-rendered infoboxes for each show here.
How can I follow you to see when new recaps are posted?
You can follow this blog on Tumblr, where I post auto-generated conversions of each new post here. You don't get the interactivity of the embedded schedule, but each post will appear on your dashboard. I also post a link to each new post on the site's Bluesky account.
At some point, I'll try to get an RSS feed up on this site directly. If that's something you're interested in, let me know so I can prioritize it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both binge-watched in 2020 ↩
Binge-watched during high school, because I was active enough on Tumblr back then that of course I did. ↩
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend my beloved ↩
Hearing about college football on The CW was one of the sparks that got the idea for this project going in my mind. ↩
The exception is when an episode premiered on a different network. In that case, the first time that episode is aired on WB/UPN, it will be colored like a first-run episode. ↩

I was worried about the CW, now I’m also worried about CBS.
https://t.co/OmrgzonMd3
Speaking of Walker, now in its fourth season, it is the most watched series on the CW, headlined by one of the network’s biggest stars of the past two decades, Jared Padalecki. Like All American, the series also didn’t undergo major cuts last summer as the drama, filmed in Texas, already had been produced pretty efficiently. But I hear its license fee is so low, just over the $500K per episode threshold, that it may not make sense for CBS Studios to continue to deliver the show to the CW at that price even if the network wants it.
According to sources, it is very hard for U.S. studios to produce drama series for the current size of the CW license fees without going the international co-production route. Doing it in the U.S., even in states with tax incentives, is virtually impossible without major production compromises, like cutting further the number of filming days, significantly limiting shooting locations and opting against big lighting packages, which would make for inferior product that would be hard to sell internationally.
There's another piece of news about All American, in that it was given two more episodes this season to help wrap-up certain storylines that will allow them to switch out cast members and reduce costs, if needed, for the next season.
Now, before everyone runs to the doom and gloom, notice that this information is speculation at this point, i.e., "may not make sense." CBS may ask for a higher licensing fee and the CW may be willing to pay it if Walker is the type of show they want for their brand moving forward.
But also, it appears, based on the episode titles for 4.12 and 4.13, along with the general theme of this season (The Quiet), that it's possible Walker is setting things up to reduce their cast if they get renewed for a Season 5. It would be easy to ship August off to the military and reduce Stella's appearances to recurring instead of regular. As the article points out, Walker is the most watched series on the CW right now, which could help CBS negotiate a higher licensing fee while the production team works to reduce their overall costs.
I'm not going to go all doom and gloom right now, this is all just speculation based on what appears to be one person's understanding of the industry. Could they be right? Sure. But I'm not going to worry about it until there's an official announcement. What I am going to do is continue to watch Live and on the CW app within the next week.

OMG YESSSSSSS-
Honestly, Vanessa and Livia would have BEEF, also if Sis were to be brought into the picture, it might make things worse. (She's constantly in fear whether the cult knows about her location in the cult or not)
DYLAN AND AUGUST WOULD BE SO CUTE NGLLL- (Just the two of them chatting together, Dylan would be a bit of a chatterbox ngl XD)
AND CB (Cat Burglar) AND TORI TOOOOOO >3<
EVEN WITH THEIR CAT-LIKE REFLEXES, CB CAN'T SEEM TO GET AT HER XDD. (Also gonna HC that every time CB misses, they do that angry cat trill thing XP)
EEEEEHEHE!
Liv loves causing problems in the church! They love problems!! They enter the church, release a 6 pigeons and laugh about it. They love chaos but if like. Vanessa touched their birds they’re ending up on the news.
August loves letting Dylan talk- they hold their microphone up to his face and lets him yap! They love talking and love listening! They try to gossip about the other officers but Dylan probably don’t want to and doesn’t like it. So August just chatters about how much they love the officers nstead
Tori absolutely loves CB struggle to grab her. She laughs, sets off an alarm then runs through a wall to watch them scramble to escape! She loves being a menace to them

it was hyunjin's aotm that made me want to check out more stray kids and he became my first bias in skz as well around summer 2022 <3 in late july/early august 2022 i met @eternalgyu and she... made me watch your eyes 🤓 she knew what she was doing and she didn't warn me at all 🤓 also at that time i might have changed my bias to han im not sure i think i did... i was also rly a baby stay still at that time like a week before i met her was the first time i listened to red lights lmao 😭
so then i watched your eyes and like died... and hannie gave me some more songs to listen to. i watched some more content and casually stanned them. maxident was oct 2022 and it was my first cb with skz and by then i was a seungmin bias along w han as a second bias <3
sometime in 2022 or early 2023 i asked my friend axe to give me some b-side recs bcuz stray kids' discography is rly big and scary lmao 😭😭 so that was very helpful for getting to know their music more <3
i think around summer 2023 i started to stan skz a little less. i still like them and their music, but some stays were a bit meh for me 😭😭 all my mootsies who are stays are awesome tho <33 i also stanned kim woojin in that time and seeing how stays treated him in the past was... disgusting 🧍♀️
but to answer your other question about favourite bside!! i would have to say mixtape : oh, haven, fnf, collision, and charmer are all songs i adore... if i had to pick one probably fnf!!
thank you for the questions ara ily <333

Unbelievable!!!!!: Interview: Dominic Keating
In Unbelievable!!!!!, Dominic Keating plays Hacky – a name that seems very appropriate when you see his character in action. The sci-fi parody stars Snoop Dog alongside a host of familiar Star Trek faces from across the franchise. The movie gets its online premiere on 1 August, and Paul Simpson chatted with the former Star Trek Enterprise actor during lockdown…
How did you get to hear of Unbelievable!!!!!?
I think BarBara Luna [who played Lt. Marleau in the classic Trek episode Mirror Mirror] contacted me first.
I watched BarBara as a tender 9 year old. I nagged my dad rotten to get one of the first colour TVs in our street in Leicester to watch Star Trek in colour. It was one of those multi-broadcast TVs, it had a louvred door, looked like an aircraft hangar. It was the size of a coffin almost. These chiffon clad ladies were my first foray into erotica! BarBara and I had known each other from early on in the convention days – she reached out first. I think I was busy the first time they wanted to use me for something and then everybody else I knew did it and I felt a bit left out, so that’s when I reached out and got to meet Angelique [Fawcette] and realised it was her producing and her husband [Steven L. Fawcette] directing. They found a nice little cameo for me and happy to join. I’m going to be in a movie with Snoop Dog. Word! What a feat to get Snoop Dog to do this!

And you’re working with Captain Kirk Stillwood – the puppet…
I’ve done some things – I’ve worked with chimps and I’ve worked with puppets. I did a campaign where I got to work with a chimp; I was the Hollywood manager of a chimp!
Yes, I worked with the mannequin – it was a lot of fun actually. I only had a day’s work on it, literally a spit and a cough. It was lovely to be there. We all know each other from the conventions. I’ve been doing them for 20 years – I was the first out of the gate on our cast. The rest of my cast were all a bit sniffy about it to begin with until I drove my Porsche 911 onto the lot, paid for by conventions that first year. God bless those fans, man! I never stopped thanking them. We’ve all known each other for many a year – and to actually be on set with each other as actors was a lot of fun and a real treat.
So it was nice to work with everyone again – Casey [Biggs] particularly. I’ve known him, he’s a dear lovey love, and Max [Grodenchik] too, a great scene partner.

Have you kept up with the latest Star Treks?
Discovery and Picard? I haven’t. I don’t have [CBS All Access]. I was meant to go to the premiere of Discovery here at the Cinerama Dome, but sadly one of my cats died that very day, and frankly the idea of putting on a happy face wasn’t in my wheelhouse that night. Jason Isaacs and I go way back – we started out with the same agent in London 35 years ago. I know it’s gone down well.
I know originally it was going to be Bryan Fuller, and I know him of old. I thought I might get a good guest star or recurring role; he loved me, but then he and his writing partner parted ways, and he went on to do another show.

My first memory of Enterprise is going on set very early September 2001, and everyone talking about the plans – and then 9/11 happened.
It changed the show entirely. What is our relevance? I’d been here quite a while at that stage. I wasn’t a citizen, still a Green Card holder, but just to be immersed and to be in an American working environment, I never felt more American.
Very happy days at Paramount on the show. Scott [Bakula] was an amazing family leader – we couldn’t have hoped for a nicer man at the helm. He made those years joyous, frankly. I miss it.
It was a terrible shame we didn’t get to do our full stint, which I think we were well worthy of, certainly by the time Manny took over running the show in Season 4. No disrespect to Brannon, but he’d done this for sixteen years – he was tired out. I remember reading Manny’s first script in the Xindi arc, which was our riposte to 9/11, and thinking, “That’s good, who wrote this?” I phoned up the writers and asked to speak to Manny Coto! He’s gone on to bigger and bigger things. We were certainly worthy of another couple if not the whole seven years, but unfortunately the network was tanking and there were bigger things afoot than the success of our show. There was talk of going to Vancouver to shoot but Scott had two small children.
Marina came and did our last episode with Jonathan Frakes to a lot of people’s consternation – I had no idea that Scott was so affronted by that last episode until we all did the 10 year reunion at CBS for the release of the Blu-rays and we all had a big interview. It all came out in that that it really ticked him off. By that stage we’d known we were cancelled for about six, seven weeks if not longer, and I was over the shock of it. I won’t say that I think that the device to get those two into our episode was a bit clunky, but that said one of my favourite days’ shooting was doing the galley scene with Jonathan Frakes. He’s hilarious.
I’d always known he was funny – there’s a story I often tell. We’d gone over to Birmingham to do a big British convention. I went into the green room and there were all these young hotshots, cheeked and ab-ed actors, all flown in from their hot shot shows in Toronto and Vancouver and all were waxing on about how great things were… I was remembering how it used to be when it was me. They petered out and went back to their signing tables so there just me sitting alone there finishing my sandwich. There was this rustling underneath the trestle table on the other side of the room, and Jonathan Frakes popped his head up from where he’d obviously been having a nap, or trying to, and he saw me and went, “Hey, Dom, how are you? Are all those *********s gone now?” He’s a real actor’s actor. I had a great time working with him.

What else are you up to at the moment, apart from staying in for lockdown?
I’ve got a film I’ve been promoting, The Host, which sort of got a release virtually. It’s a psychological horror movie set in London and Amsterdam. I’ve been doing some voiceover work for Blizzard, God bless – I did quite a lot of voices for them for World of Warcraft. I have another voiceover on Tom Hanks’ new movie, Greyhound – I play the captain of the English battleship in this flotilla chasing U-boats. You never see me unfortunately but it’s my voice, but a mate of mine told me I’m in it quite a lot, and referred to quite a lot too! I got to work with Tom – he was in the room when we recorded, and what a lovely chap he is. Shortly after that he got COVID!
The worldwide online premiere of Unbelievable!!!!!! is 1 August – tickets for the all-day event can be purchased today (31 July) here
Thanks to David Roberson & Ian Spelling for their assistance in arranging this interview.

August 2023 | Dressing gown based on yukata
I wrote a while ago that I want to post more finished objects here, now that I'm trying to repair my relationship with dressmaking. It's thirty-five degrees Celsius over here and I'm having either covid or a really bad cold, so forgive me if my logic is twisted in places.
------------------~~~~~--------------------

This is a dressing gown heavily inspired/pretty much based on a yukata (a lighter kimono which you wear in the summer, especially to the summer festivals). I've wanted a kimono/yukata for so long, but practicality-wise I was also in need of a dressing gown less warm than my fluffy towel one, and when I saw this fabric I had the idea to make a dressing gown that's basically a yukata but with mods because a) it was a Western fabric, b) I wouldn't be wearing it the traditional way.
I hope it's fine and not culture appropriation...and to be able to defend that, I have watched documentaries on the making of yukata in Kyoto and also examined carefully two websites containing detailed info on how to make an actual yukata. Any changes I made should hopefully be a conscious decision, and this project can be a test run for when I can afford an actual kimono roll of fabric and an occasion to wear it!
That's my reasoning. Now let's move on to the fabric...
Guthrie & Ghani floral stencil print in #navy. 20%linen+80% viscose. I would NOT recommend this fabric for dressmaking unless it's for a rough outer garment. The fabric was very scratchy with linen bits, and I had to manually pull out the prickly bits as well as tumble wash it twice. I don't think it's intended for dressmaking...but I was so excited and realised it too late lol.
To help reduce the scratchiness, the shoulder lining was a cotton/silk blend. I think a thin but sturdy cotton would be a great choice but I didn't have that; I just had a lot of sheer cotton/silk blend leftover from other projects.
The contrasting colour facing (which is not traditional): from a scrap fabric basket of a shop, a cotton/viscose blend. It was a twill weave with that typical smooth powdery finish you get with viscose twill.
Notes/Mods:
130cm on CB instead of the traditional 160cm. A yukata is quite long (equals your height) because you wear it with a triple fold at the waist, called an ohashori. This fold allows the wearer to adjust the length of the yukata i.e. where the hem hits. Since I'm not doing the ohashori, I don't need the extra length.
My fabric would actually only allow an 110cm CB if I were to cut the front and back in one piece (as is traditional), because I had only 2.2m of it. It was not cut on grain, but also there had probably been a bad shrinkage. 110cm was way too short for me. To maintain the flow of the pattern on the back, I decided to add fabric pieces directly to the bottom of the front, because there were more things going on in the front so the pattern was disrupted anyways. This way, the front and back were still largely cut in one big rectangle, which is more recyclable.
There are not separate front strips (okumi) on my gown. Usually there would be, and there would actually be some shaping for the upper body achieved through this seam between the okumi and the front body. I omitted them because a) I wouldn't have enough fabric to match patterns if I had cut them separately, and b) I wanted to reduce weight as much as possible because this fabric was so heavy.
Perhaps most importantly I omitted kise. A kise is when you press open a seam, you don't press it entirely open, but leave about 0.2mm of fabric folding over the seam so that the seam is hidden. This technique is used throughout a yukata. I suppose that this helps protect the seam, since it's easier to reinforce a kise than a seam when it's worn. I omitted this again because of the fabric. Too heavy and bulky.
Since I used a Western fabric, this means I had to use different seaming methods than the traditional ones, because traditionally almost the entire yukata/kimono would be have selvage edges at seams. I could not just anchor down the seam allowance; I had to hide the raw edges neatly.
The shaping of the collar is traditional, but the construction was me. Usually you would use a long strip that's double the width of the finished collar, and fold it. I'm not sure if it's traditionally accepted to have the outer fabric and the lining of the collar cut separately. You would also need a collar reinforcement, which I omitted.

Traditionally you don't cut away any excess fabric on the front (on each side you would have two rectangular pieces of fabrics, the front body and the okumi). You just encase the excess as seam allowance in the collar. This way the fabric remains very recyclable and you can also adjust the collar for another wearer. I think this is truly a great idea, but I had to do some trimmings again to reduce bulk and weight.
Contrast colour for facing. I am pretty sure this should not be happening, because a yukata is supposed to be simple and summer-y. My mind was so dominated by the Orientalist paintings of G. H. Breitner which was a shame but the kimonos themselves were so pretty. Since I'm wearing it just for my pleasure, I added a bit of flare.

Normally, when I deal with raw edges, I whip-stitch with a tiny mark on the right side. This time I tried to do a blind stitch that leaves a tiny mark on the right side and no stitch marks on the wrong side. It is easier than I thought it would be (after lots of practice) and I might be converted.

In two or three places I just could not do a two-fold hem, so I smoothed out the fabric and did a little bit of overcasting.

I had tried the latest way of doing bar tacks and I didn't like it, so I stuck to my usual method.

Just a wide belt for now~I don't think I'll ever make an obi for it, but if this pattern is ever done on silk, I might just make a lined kimono with an obi!

my friend thinks that tour will still be towards the end of the year and that yg only posted the teaser now to calm their investors down after that horrible deficit report that came out a couple days ago. i really really hope she's right. plus, announcing tour now whilst three members are in the middle of releasing new solo music, it will force some of that attention to be redirected back towards yg, if that makes sense. so it's just yg trying to leech off the attention the pinks are getting
and i'm not sure where the info about jisoo saying the cb is in may is from bcs i watched the interview and the captions said "this year". we need some fluent korean speakers to get to the bottom of this for us
my thoughts as well! the prerelease *could* happen in may, but i think the album will be in august/september, which means that the tour will probably begin some time in autumn. it’s very likely that they saw some investors pulling back and wanted to assure them that bp activities were indeed happening this year (aka they’re begging investors to keep giving them money) 🤷🏻♀️ and yeah, yge is blatantly trying to take advantage of the hybe / momentum that the pinks are having rn as soloists, which is a good idea in theory but it doesn’t seem like the pinks were on board ://

Millwall have appointed former Preston North End, Sunderland and Stoke City boss Alex Neil as head coach on a "long-term" contract. The 43-year-old most recently managed the Potters, having taken over in August 2022, but was sacked just over 12 months ago.Neil, who won promotion from the Championship as manager of Norwich City in 2015, takes over from Neil Harris whose second stint with the Lions ended this month.Neil was in the stands in the CBS Arena on Sunday, watching his new side battle to a goalless draw with Frank Lampard's Coventry City. The result kept them 13th in the table.Millwall's director of football Steve Gallen said Neil was a head coach with "proven methods" and "exciting ideas"."Ultimately, Alex has an excellent track record in the Championship for results and development of young talent, as well as many other attributes that we feel confident will drive us forward as a club," Gallen told the club website., external 2024-12-30 10:41:10 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/branded_sport/1200/cpsprodpb/1b72/live/c17ced70-c520-11ef-88bd-b114b2e71d42.jpg

Too much? Many Americans feel the need to limit their political news, poll finds (AP) When her husband turns on the television to hear news about the upcoming presidential election, that’s often a signal for Lori Johnson Malveaux to leave the room. It can get to be too much. Often, she’ll go to a TV in another room to watch a movie on the Hallmark Channel or BET. She craves something comforting and entertaining. And in that, she has company. While about half of Americans say they are following political news “extremely” or “very” closely, about 6 in 10 say they need to limit how much information they consume about the government and politics to avoid feeling overloaded or fatigued, according to a new survey from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and USAFacts. Make no mistake: Malveaux plans to vote. She always does. “I just get to the point where I don’t want to hear the rhetoric,” she said.
Most Americans Want to Stop Arming Israel. Politicians Don’t Care. (The Intercept) When Kamala Harris sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash last month, Bash asked a question: “Would you withhold some U.S. weapons shipments to Israel? That’s what a lot of people on the progressive left want you to do.” Harris sidestepped the question, talked about a ceasefire, and ultimately said that she would not change course from the Biden administration’s policy of arming Israel as its war on Gaza enters its 11th month. But polls of the American voting population show that she’s ignoring more than just the “progressive left”: A majority of voters support ending arms transfers to Israel, and support for an arms embargo is growing. “The reality is that the public is far more in favor of stopping arms sales to Israel than opposed,” Yousef Munayyer, head of the Palestine/Israel Program at Arab Center Washington D.C., told The Intercept. He pointed to a June poll from CBS that showed 61 percent of all Americans said the U.S. should not send weapons to Israel, including 77 percent of Democrats and nearly 40 percent of Republicans. Despite the popularity of cutting Israel off from American weapons, the Biden administration has continued to pump billions in military aid, including thousands of 2,000-pound bombs, to Israel, approving a $20 billion weapons package just last month.
Peru’s blueberry boom (Economist) Peru’s blueberry harvest is just beginning, and Ivan Jauregui, an agronomist, looks excited. At a farm he oversees about 100km north of Lima, the capital, workers are gently twisting the fruit from their bushes. Staff in a newly built packing-plant load the best berries into refrigerated shipping containers, then pack them off to the port of Callao. Mr Jauregui says he once squeezed 35 tonnes of blueberries from a single hectare of land; he is always hoping to beat this record. “Every year we have to grow and improve,” he says. Peru caught blueberry fever a little over a decade ago. Farmers noticed that their counterparts in Chile were making a lot of money selling the fruit during the off-season in the United States, when prices are high. They sought to do the same—and things have worked out better than anyone dared hope. Back in 2013 Peruvians earned about $17m exporting blueberries; by last year receipts had soared to $1.7bn. In 2019 Peru became the world’s single biggest exporter of fresh blueberries.
European politicians say migration is out of control. The numbers tell a different story (AP) Unauthorized migration to European Union countries dropped significantly overall in the first eight months of this year, even as political rhetoric and violence against migrants increased and far-right parties espousing anti-immigration policies made gains at the polls. Despite the heated debates, irregular crossings over the southern borders of the EU—the region that sees the most unauthorized migration—were down by 35% from January to August, according to the latest preliminary figures compiled by the United Nation’s International Organization for Migration. Nearly 115,000 migrants—less than 0.03% of the EU’s population—have arrived without permission into the EU via Mediterranean and Atlantic routes so far this year, compared to 176,252 during the same period last year, the U.N. says. In contrast, more than a million people, most of them fleeing conflict in Syria, entered the EU in 2015.
Putin: lifting Ukraine missile restrictions would put Nato ‘at war’ with Russia (Guardian) Vladimir Putin has said that a western move to let Kyiv use longer-range weapons against targets inside Russia would mean Nato would be “at war” with Moscow. Putin spoke as US and UK top diplomats discussed easing rules on firing western weapons into Russia, which Kyiv has been pressing for, more than two and a half years into Moscow’s offensive. “This would in a significant way change the very nature of the conflict,” Putin told a state television reporter. “It would mean that Nato countries, the US, European countries, are at war with Russia,” he added. “If that’s the case, then taking into account the change of nature of the conflict, we will take the appropriate decisions based on the threats that we will face.” Clearing Kyiv to strike deep into Russia “is a decision on whether Nato countries are directly involved in the military conflict or not”.
Sri Lankans’ fury forced the powerful Rajapaksa clan out. Now its heir is running for president (AP) When an uprising ousted Sri Lanka’s president, many saw it as the end of his powerful family’s hold on the island nation after more than 12 years of rule. Now, as Sri Lanka prepares to elect a new leader, Namal Rajapaksa is running for president. The 38-year-old is the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the nephew of the ousted President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Namal Rajapaksa is presenting himself as an agent of change, but many see his bid for presidency as an attempt by the controversial political dynasty to regain power. By mid-2022, the clan’s political career seemed in ruins. Some of its members were forced into hiding in military camps after angry protesters stormed their residences. Others simply gave up their seats in the government as people blamed them for hurtling the country of more than 20 million people into an economic crisis. Two years later, the family—shunned and pushed to political wilderness—is trying make a comeback via the Rajapaksa heir apparent.
Vietnam typhoon death toll rises to 233 (AP) The death toll in the aftermath of a typhoon in Vietnam climbed to 233 on Friday as rescue workers recovered more bodies from areas hit by landslides and flash floods, state media reported. Flood waters from the swollen Red River in the capital, Hanoi, were beginning to recede somewhat, but many neighborhoods remained inundated and farther north experts were predicting it could still be days before any relief was in sight. Across Vietnam, 103 people are still listed as missing and more than 800 have been injured. The United Nations children’s agency, UNICEF, said the storm and its aftermath has also damaged some 550 health facilities, 800 schools and more than 100,000 homes, while leaving more than 3 million people with no access to safe drinking water.
US Navy Seal unit that killed Osama bin Laden trains for China invasion of Taiwan (Financial Times) Seal Team 6, the clandestine US Navy commando unit that killed Osama bin Laden in 2011, has been training for missions to help Taiwan if it is invaded by China, according to people familiar with the preparations. The elite Navy special forces team, which is tasked with some of the military’s most sensitive and difficult missions, has been planning and training for a Taiwan conflict for more than a year at Dam Neck, its headquarters at Virginia Beach about 250 km southeast of Washington. The secret training underlines the increased US focus on deterring China from attacking Taiwan, while stepping up preparations for such an event. The preparations have only grown since Phil Davidson, the US Indo-Pacific commander at the time, warned in 2021 that China could attack Taiwan within six years.
U.N. and Britain Denounce Israeli Attack in Gaza That Killed U.N. Workers (NYT) Condemnation mounted on Thursday of a deadly Israeli strike on a school turned shelter in central Gaza, but Israel said that the compound, crowded with people driven from their homes, had become a command center for militant fighters. The site, Al-Jaouni School, had been home to around 12,000 displaced people from the Gaza Strip, mainly women and children, according to the United Nations agency that operated the school. Israel has struck the compound five separate times since the war began last October, the agency said. The Palestinian authorities said the Israeli strike on Wednesday killed 18 Gazans, including women and children, and injured a similar number. The primary U.N. relief agency for Palestinians, known as UNRWA, said six of its employees, including the shelter’s manager, were among the dead—the most UNRWA employees to die in a single strike in a war that has killed more than 200 of them.
U.S. Forces Try to Regroup as al Qaeda, Islamic State Sow Terror in West Africa (WSJ) The U.S. is gradually moving aircraft and commandos into coastal West Africa in an urgent effort to try to stop the march of al Qaeda and Islamic State militants across one of the world’s most volatile regions. American forces were evicted this summer from their regional stronghold in Niger, farther inland, and now the Pentagon is patching together a backup counterinsurgency plan in neighboring countries—refurbishing an airfield in Benin to accommodate American helicopters, stationing Green Berets and surveillance planes in Ivory Coast, and negotiating the return of U.S. commandos to a base they used to occupy in Chad.Islamist militants are wreaking havoc across the core of the Sahel—Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger—attacking police and military, stirring local grievances, imposing their harsh version of Islam in occupied villages and causing some 38,000 deaths since 2017, according to the Pentagon’s Africa Center for Strategic Studies.
Sudan’s humanitarian crisis (NPR) Sudan, one of Africa’s largest countries, is facing the world’s greatest humanitarian crisis after fighting erupted almost 18 months ago. Millions of people have been displaced as the ruling Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, the paramilitary group that once supported them, fight for control of the country. With the world’s attention focused on conflict elsewhere, the war in Sudan has struggled to get attention for the disaster, which has been made worse by how hard it is to access the country. The scale of destruction is hard to believe. In places, it’s almost apocalyptic, NPR’s Emmanuel Akinwotu, who managed to enter Sudan, tells Up First. The streets are littered with people’s belongings, chairs are covered in bullet holes and a once iconic, vibrant market is a ghost town. The scale of need is immense. Half of the population is acutely hungry and parts of the country are facing famine. People are not getting aid largely because of the lack of safe routes. But even if there were routes, the amount of aid isn’t enough. Akinwotu says there is a common feeling from people that the world doesn’t care and they have to rely on themselves.
Breast milk’s benefits (The Economist) In a talk she gave in 2016, Katie Hinde, a biologist from Arizona State University, lamented how little scientific attention was commanded by breast milk. Up until that point, she said, both wine and tomatoes had been far more heavily studied. Scientists have been neglecting a goldmine. In babies breast milk can reduce inflammation, kill pathogens and improve the health of the immune system. As a result, some components of breast milk are now being studied as potential treatments for a host of adult conditions, including cancer, heart disease, arthritis and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Its richness continues to surprise: in 2009, for example, more than 250 previously unknown proteins were identified within it; in 2015 it yielded up 300 new microRNA molecules, which regulate gene expression throughout the body. In a recent study of milk from 1,200 mothers on three continents, scientists found roughly 50,000 small molecules, most of them unknown to science.

WILDFANG
WILDFANG was founded in 2012 by Emma Mcilroy, Taralyn Thuot and Julia Parsley. The brand is known for its untraditional approach to gender norms, and wanting to create garments that are not only convenient for everyone but trying to challenge the fashion industry for clinging onto outdated gender norms that serve nobody in todays society.
"We’re on a mission to rethink gender norms and how they show up in fashion. We embrace our masculine, our feminine, and our-everything-in-between." -WILDFANG
Wildfang is a growing movement for the women who don't fit into the mould that society created for them. The brand was created to fill the void that was clothing that included everyone no matter your gender. They believed the fashion industry fell short in regards to the gender binary so they felt they needed to fix the issue.
The brand focuses on clothing fr the women that were deemed as 'tomboys' by society and giving them a place to shop comfortable without having to look in the mens section for clothing that make them feel like themselves. The Wildfang team believed that a 'tomboy' represents someone who doesn't settle for the norm, and who doesn't follow rules which don't make sense, its about authenticity, boldness and a very human spirit.
The founders of Wildfang explain how their brand is a lot more than a fashion brand, they wanted to create a place where women were pushed and inspired to be bolder and braver with their style and identity. Where they could explore different styles and silhouettes that they are usually restricted from. They believe that society and culture norms have shifted and with that so has how people want to identify themselves in different ways, which is seen as a huge progress in the right direction. The traditional gender boundaries in society and the fashion industry are finally being dismantled. Self-expression and self-confidence is an important part of life and they want to make sure everyone can express themselves comfortably and without judgement and stress of not being able to find clothing that makes them feel like themselves.
